  1. I ahve always been partial to government that is a president of one party, and the opposing party controls the House and Senate by the slimmest of margins. Everyone must compromise, and not much gets done outside the basics of running a nation...which is usually a good thing. 2. From what I have read... PB gun make: Glock PB gun caliber: .40 PB brain model: Rhode Island Red HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.
  3. Uh, John....I am not at all against responsible people having guns. In fact, I have been a life member of the NRA for almost 20 years. (Just got my new card today). I am not even against PB owning a gun before he so eloquently subdued his attacker with one shot. PB has proven himself an irresponsible person not capable of safely carrying a weapon. 4. Or maybe the Easter Bunny. Any rabbit that can lay eggs can sure as heck make a universe. Don't be ridiculous. He doesn't lay the eggs. Where do you get your information? The Easter Bunny is just a pass-thru; with a little value add with the nice colors. Chickens lay the eggs; Easter Bunny collects, boils, colors, and distributes them. Says so in this book my kids have. And it has pictures. Well, drawings anyway. And I'm just assuming on the boiling. Well, your book is wrong! My book says the Easter Bunny lays the eggs already colored and my book is right. I think I know which book you have. Well, Buster, my book has pictures too but mine have captions! 5. So how does that compare to Arizona State? Or as one columnist wrote, anything with "Florida" in it? If they are NCAA division 1, they probably have special rules for athletes. One of academia's dirty not-so-secrets that generally pisses off the real students and faculty. That, and the head coach getting paid way more than the Nobel laureates on the faculty. I agree about 95%. In defense of the rare exception, there are, on occasion, coaches who get paid big bucks because they are actually worth it. It's rare, but it does happen. One "special rule" that I truly despised was one that allowed athletes to take their midterms on the road. Supposedly they were to follow the same guidelines as the rest of the students, but it was well known and openly admitted that they were allowed text books, notes, etc. The coaches sat them in the back of the plane or bus "so they wouldn't be bothered" by the rest of the playeers, then sat up front so nobody could say they gave them assistance. 6. Good post. You made a couple points that I, quite honestly, never thought of such as a waiting period only for a "first gun". Makes sense to me. What is your opinion of the mental health records of potential buyers? It was a discontinuity between the feds and the state of Virginia that allowed the guns to be sold that were used in the VT shootings. Do these records fall under any doctor-patient confidentiality laws? 7. Yeah, I remember that from when I was in college. There were times I felt the only reason they even had a student body was to justify having a football team. 8. If there were such a thing as an "Almost-Darwin Award" for those who not quite finish themselves off in a really stupid manner, serious consideration would have to be given to Plaxico Burress for shooting himself in the leg. As I heard on the radio: IF you feel it neccessary to carry a gun into a nightclub...it is probably not worth going into. IF people wear sweat pants into a nightclub...it is probably not worth going into. IF you are so stupid as to carry a loaded gun in the waistband of your sweat pants...you probably deserve to get shot in the leg. Or between them. Why do so many professional athletes, who have the world at their feet, throw their careers and lives away for nothing??? How did this guy ever get through college???? 10. The 39 stuff is getting pricey. Last weekend the cheapest I saw was $300/1000rd. Seriously, though, if you know where I can get some H450 let me know. My .270 loves the stuff. 11. I used to buy into the idea that what we enjoy here on Earth is to miraculous to have "just happened". But as the years went by, I learned more and more, science learned more and more, and now I am convinced that not only can it "just happen", with hundreds of billions of galaxies each containing hundreds of billions of stars it is almost inconceivable that life as we know it wouldn't happen. Think of it...if just one star in each galaxy was capable of supporting life, and just one of every billion of those stars had a planet that could support life, that means there are literally billions of opportunities for life to develop as it did here. In my mind, and I'm not alone in the thought, life had to happen. 12. Grab me a case of 7.62x39 FMJ. Could use a couple pounds of H450. Getting harder to find all the time. Just ship to me and I'll send a check when it arrives. 14. Has it been long enough that we now can lie about the incompetence of FEMA and it's leader, in handling that event? Apparently. why do people insist on blaming the 2nd 3rd or 4th person down the line? lets put the blame on the first person, like the fucktard that didn't order the evacuation, or the liar that said the levees were ok? I'd rather blame the freakin' retards that built, and the retards today that rebuild, cities that are below sea level and sinking by the minute. 15. The V.Tech massacre was with legally bought weapons. The problem was that the perp, who was clearly unsuited to be a gun owner, WAS able to buy them legally because the laws and checks were so flawed. Quite right. The very same laws that protect our right to privacy allowed him to obtain those weapons. 16. I was taught to shoot at 9, weld at 9, drill press at 8, chainsaw at 10, tractor at 10. They are all tools with specific jobs that need to be done. When you live in the middle of nowhere, you learn these jobs at a young age. 17. The two are interconnected because the health and life insurance companies all subscribe to the MIB database and have laundry lists of conditions which will keep them from issuing a policy to you. If you stop working for companies which offer group plans (as you might when you retire), telling the truth may mean not having health insurance because you can't get a private plan and not all states have high-risk pools. That's not going to be good for your health. Very true. But I am not educated as an MD, pharmacist, etc. so I will continue telling my Doc the truth when he asks me a question. Drug interactions, including over-the-counter meds and natural remedies, are nothing to mess with. 19. I know of at least one that is smaller than any planet. It resides at the bottom of the Atlantic in an area known at "The Burmuda Triangle". It sucks in planes and boats leaving no trace behind. I saw it on TV so it has to be true. 22. Oh jeeze, Jakee, do we have to explain evrything to you?? God didn't make mosquitos. Satan made them to trick us into doubting God. Same way he put all those fossils in the ground that we think are millions of years old, but are really less than 6000 years old. 23. I have read your posts. I suggest doing the following... 1) Print off your own post containing all the claims you make. 2) Go to the link posted at the beginning of the thread. 3)Watch the 12 short episodes that are free and online. 4) Scratch off each of your claims (or "facts", as you call them) as they are debunked. 5)Get back to us with the ones that are left. 24. So this is apparently how true science is conducted....when met with opposition, rather than address it simply call the person stupid, say its already been addressed, and then ignore. I continue to recieve similar responses to my posts. Simply state, "Your wrong", ignore any information or facts I have posted, if any "evidence" if used it is ignoring anything that was already addressed in post. Simply a wave of the hand is no sufficient! This is the ultimate problem. No one is actually willing to look at the facts, at the information, or at the problems. Well, you could start posting some facts instead of what jakee calls "rubbish", kallend calls "gibberish", and I call "bullshit". Credit for "gibberish" is due to pirana, not to me. I stand corrected.
