  1. That guy was really ballzy, really crazy, or really both. I can't imagine being one of the first to try out the "parachute", let alone a wooden one. I'm going to have to read more on the beginnings of this sport. Stangely enough, I know next to nothing about its origins hundreds of years ago. Anyone know a good book about the start of it all? I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
  2. Don't feel bad, I did that once too. One guy started pointing at my alti and told me to check it. I looked down, it read 0....... aka 12 grand. Cut to me furiously tapping on the glass to get it going again After all was said and done I walked over and thanked the guy for scaring the shit out of me- I'm more more altitude aware in the plane now. Funny thing was, I never broke stride in my two way jump plan, I was just gonna look at the other guys alti.
  3. That's a scary thought- sniveling through your descision altitude- then doing nothing about it. "But it was opening." I'm glad you mentioned that because to be honest I've never given serious thought about cutting a main that was inflating because it wasn't inflating quickly enough . Now I have. 4. WHY GOD, WHY!?!?!?!?!?! I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
  5. I was on load 5 and I remember that, good grief that was bad! Hmmm, I wonder if a tandem passenger had ever dropped a load in their pants before a jump? That could explain the smell The dumb & dumber scene takes the cake. Good choice. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
  6. I agree that their paths didn't directly intersect, but the bike jumpers did have to get verticle clearance over the baja truck, and the monster trucks had to clear the bikes. The one big truck almost misses one of his jumps about halfway through Point being, they weren't crisscrossing in front of each other, but they did have to judge the correct jump height/ distance or they could have hit someone above/ below them. Either way, it's cool
  7. You guys rock! Thanks everyone for letting the newbie in on the 10 way 100 jump celebration dive. I'm just glad I didn't funnel the formation
  8. I'll be there tommorrow morning, guess that means I'm driving through the rain. That's cool though, as long as it goes the f*ck away before I get there See you guys there! I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
  9. I can't believe the skill level of both those drivers in the ghostrider vid. Very cool, yet very very dangerous. I couldn't help but think- all the car had to do was stomp the brakes with the bike right behind him, chase OVER. Yeah, the stunt coordination on the dirt jumps was incredible. One person f*cks up and misses their jump and Glad you guys liked it. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
  10. Not sure if this has been posted before- but it's still impressive. 22. I could see jumping into a wedding or high school reunion being "interesting." I'd be more worried about some drunk dumbass running in the way while landing than anything..... but I guess that's what flat turns and steel toed boots are for j/k btw Cool idea aresye, hope you get to do it sometime down the road. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251

  24. Just don't ever jump UP on an exit...... at least not out of a King Air. Nobody wants to squeegee your residue off the back wing- But I guess that's not an issue out of an Otter, so have fun Oh, and definately ask an instructor- if he's cool with you doing it he'll probably even give you some pointers on how to do it the cool way. I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon. Thanks for all your support! *bows* SCS #8251
  25. How about a thirst for adventure? To do something that both scares and exhilarates you at the same time? To me it's all about discovering where my limits are, and the challenge of pushing myself through my comfort zone and into the realm of the unknown, adrenaline inducing, and satisfying life experiences. Plus, who hasn't wondered what it would feel like to fly?
