    Slacker, I jump at Skydive Atlanta and know for a fact that they allow observation passengers. For someone already through some AFF classes it might be as little as the $23 lift ticket. The point of a ride along is to get swept up in the emotion and excitement of eveyone else on the plane without the fear of having to jump. Plus, at the end the pilot dives the shit out of the plane, which I've always wanted to experience anyway = ) After you get pumped up watching everyone jump a time or two, you might just jog over and sign up for a jump. Either way, it's as close as you can get to actually jumping without shelling out over $200. I'll be there this Sat & Sun (Sun for sure) Feb 9 & 10 getting my A license checkdive. If you're there maybe you can watch my goofy ass jump out of the plane and you'll feel much better about yourself I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon.     New guy perspective: There isn't any load organizing at my home DZ- but the experienced guys have been a HUGE help. I'm a check-dive away from my A license and have been accompanied by coaches without asking or charge 2 times, and have already had 5 or 6 people ask me to join them once the stamp is on the A card. I'm not the most outgoing guy so that kind of stuff makes me feel accepted, and excited about going back for more. Positive feedback from the coaches on my progress has helped a lot, but I think offering to buy them pizza could work to my advantage

    I thought a skygod was a person who was so damn good at jumping that they did things like forgetting their altimeter and then their helmet on back to back loads , then trying to hit on every girl tandem student, especially with their boyfriend right there. I saw a camera guy do just that (brilliant move forgetting your camera helmet!!!!) Actually, from what I've seen in my brief time jumping- skygods are the guys who thin they are badass and they want everyone to know it. The REAL badasses are confident enough in their abilities that they don't have to prove themselves to anyone. They know they're that good, and the're willing to help anyone who needs it.     Thanks for the help! I wasn't planning on going to the boogie but the guy I called at SDA just convinced me I figured it would only be a bunch of experienced people there but he said there would be a "kiddie" landing area so I don't get bulldozed by one of the high performance guys. Now if I can just get a few good jumps in this weekend, maybe I'll be able to squeeze onto a Heli jump. Who knows? Thanks again for the help! I will be kissing hands and shaking babies all afternoon.     Hey guys, I graduated my AFF course this weekend at Skydive Atlanta and did my first solo. What an incredible jump! I never really paused to look around during AFF - the view was friggin incredible from 14000 feet! Definitely my two favorite jumps so far, and I hear it gets better
