How about I pack a few rounds per year ?
-
in my experience any change in cat behavior is usually an indicator of the cat being unhappy with something, or being unhealty. did you change her diet ? did you change her litter type ? did you start on something outside or inside the barn that can be bothering her ? do you have Scottish or Irish ancestry ? all those things may have an effect. Or she can just be a bitchy cat :) I know that one of my cats jumped inside the laundry basket and peed - all while looking right at my wife. We took her (the cat) to the vet, and apparently she had a urinary tract infection. A course of antibiotics over a week, and she never peed outside the litterbox since.

Don't forget the rig that's waiting for you. Better air that puppy out before it gets stale ! Welcome back.

I have flown both, in many different sizes. I think if you are a beginner, the biggest difference you will see is the easiness of packing a Silhouette - it gives you the F111-like awesomeness of packing while maintaining the ZP-like glide and responsiveness. Personally, whenever I can, I try to put beginner jumpers on the Silhouette..

Moving off student gear this weekend!
likestojump replied to JMS8800's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
how much do you weigh, and why did you pick a Heatwave 190 for a first off-student canopy ? -
have you looked for markings on one of the ribs ?

how much is the 4yrs service for a cypres2?
likestojump replied to virgin-burner's topic in Gear and Rigging
4/8 year service is $160, for both cypres1 and cypers2. The only extra cost is shipping, and sales tax if you are in Ohio and dealing through SSK. http://www.cypres-usa.com/cypres08.pdf -
This *might* be valid. On a wingsuit, they'll wear through the fabric fairly quickly. Have you ever seen a wing suit worn through by B-12? Or better yet have you ever met a wing suit jumper that had B-12's on their rig? If so I have learned something today. Sparky I believe BASE428 has B12s on his rig for that specific reason. Perhaps he will chime in.

I agree with everything you said. And I always try my best to educate. It's just that some people puzzle me with their bullshit excuses (as you say - and I 100% agree). you summarized my feelings to the t.

as you wish. However a lifetime of dealing with people and idiot proof things has taught me to err on the side of caution. Humans get complacent, regardless of education and intelligence.

too bad I said LAZY not INCOMPETENT.

as always, the problem is KISS. It takes time to learn to hook the B12 back on, and it takes effort. The B-12's are a lot quicker than wriggling out of permanently affixed leg straps. So if you're judging by ease, speed and simplicity, then B-12's win. WRONG. what's easy for YOU, may not be so easy/simple for everyone else. Once again, I PERSONALLY find B12s to be too bulky and an extra unnecessary step. I also have friends who ordered them on their new rigs because they like the ease of not having to wiggle into legstraps. determining that your personal preference is the smartest/easiest choice is too shortsighted.

the workaround that worked for me for profs who did not release the ISBNs was to use unaffiliated bookstores located next to campus, their websites usually had the section # and profs name, and the book you needed to buy. I then copied the ISBN into half.com and saved a bunch.

That's why... ya take 'em off & then hook them back up, takes half a second and makes walking back in with an armload of gear an ease. as always, the problem is KISS. It takes time to learn to hook the B12 back on, and it takes effort. As we all know people are usually more lazy, so it's likely that they will keep not locking the B12's, thus the swings will continue. Just an observation...

I don't care to have B12s on my personal gear. It's a matter of bulk and comfort. I also don't like how the unbuckled B12s swing into everything. B12 on the cheststrap is not a good idea for some people. Faceplants happen. a bulky B12 embedded in your ribcage will be quite painful. A lower profile adapter, like the quickrelease used on the Morpheus BASE rigs or the new Prodigy2 Wingsuits sound a lot more reasonable.

I know this should really go in another forum...

He is talking about the jump at the opening (day after) ceremony. The one that was legal. I hear it was Omar. -

Can't find Tombstone, UT on the map... Fact checking dear reporters, it's there for a reason. -
As usual, conspiracy theories are just speculation until the raw data is provided and qualified experts are behind the said alleged fraud. GOT PROOF ? (sorry, your claim of 3rd party credibility of the mysterious unnamed person just does not do it for me).

tell us, oh wise one - how much experience do you have with either ?

Quick loop on a Vector III? What what what?
likestojump replied to Unstable's topic in Gear and Rigging
I didn't feel like starting a new thread, but I just found a quick loop on a Javelin a few days ago. Weirded me out, and I put a "regular" loop in. I personally never found it hard to figure out the needed length of the loop, especially if you have the old one :) -
Thank you for your answer. I wanted to know YOUR opinion because I was mesmerized with the thread that you started. As I mentioned, my background is Mail Order/Customer Service, and I have spent many years buying and selling things that way. My conclusion ? You are part of the entitlement generation, the spoiled consumer who still thinks that "customer is always right". If you contracted the company for product X and it delivered the said product X within the promised (not EXPECTED - but PROMISED) timeframe - that is all they are required to do. Coupons, discounts, phone calls - they sure as hell feel nice, but are an EXTRA, and in my opinion it's silly to expect such things. To look at it in black and white - the company has vested interest in keeping you as a long term customer, thus the "Extras" it may shower you with. At the end, of course we will defer to the "opinions and assholes" statement. The above was my opinion...
