  2. I just registered for the WFFC today. (thanks Val) Anyway, I don't know if I will hit my 50 jump mark by then or not... (index finger to thumb, sit on floor cross one leg on top of the other, now chant... yama yama yaaaama... my wings will come soon, my wings will come soon, my wings will come soon) My point is this. If you guys need anyone to be in the tent, I will be there at least 8/6 - 8/8, possibly late 8/5 through 8/9. I will gladly help work the tent during the day if there is any work that needs to be done. hisgoofyness "i want my two dollars... i want my two dollars..."
  3. i would be delighted if you would be my host... i will not get there until tuesday (possibly monday night), and have to leave thursday afternoon; but hey .... that's still two full nights of being around the dz.com fanatics hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."
  4. ok i just got an email from wffc it seems as though i have to sign up as a non-skydiver since i do not have 50 jumps yet, but if i have completed all of my jumps by the time i get there they will switch my registration to skydiver so for the real question... who here is signed up already and going to be my host... since i have to be someone's guest hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."
  5. note to self: it appears that no one will be there.... hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."
  6. I just found out I am going to Cleveland for work on Thurs. June 27 and will be there until Sat. afternoon. I hope to be done with my business by mid-day Friday and was thinking of heading to the boogie for the rest of the day and through Sat. afternoon, until I have to catch my flight. So who's going to be there? hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."
  7. yeah, i think even in just two nights, i will probably drink the equivalent of that fee hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."
  8. i have a question bill is there anywhere to find a graph (or other visual) on performance in relation to wingloading and size of canopy i ask this because i have heard several people mention it here on previous occasions for instance i will soon be transitioning from rental / student gear to my canopy. my canopy is a Tri 190 which i will load at just about 1.05 to 1 (which i fell very confident in doing) it is my understanding that my 1.05 to 1 under a tri 190 is entirely more docile than say a 1.05 to 1 under a tri 135, isn't that true can you shed a little light for me hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."
  9. can anyone help me out, i am trying to make a decision on this... i am moving to chicago on aug. 5, and i was thinking of coming to rantoul tues. afternoon through thurs. afternoon i am assuming i would have to pay full registration for just those two nights? also, i doubt i will be at 50 jumps by then as i am at 10 currently, but maybe i will... oh well, i guess it would be worth it to pay full registration to meet all you guys for a couple of nights... am i right or am i right ??? hisgoofyness "go ahead fun boy take your shot... you got me dead bang..."

    buffet

i am so upset i will not be attending the show this year ( i am a major parrot head ), buffett shows were a tradition for me for several years ( going to at least three each year ), unfortunately he is only doing one show in atlanta this year and tickets sold out in 15 minutes (i started trying 10 minutes before they went on sale ) anyway as you can tell i am not happy about not getting to go. since i started skydiving i decided not to travel to shows in order to have more jump money outside of my rant... buffett shows are great, i have a entire row in my closet of hawaiin shirts (just ask anyone at my dz, as i wear one every time i show up ) be prepared to do strange acts in order to get beads, find people who can make great cooler drinks (not wine coolers, but coolers full of a good mixture, i made coolers full of rum runners) bring some raw meat to throw on the grill, get to the location around 8 a.m. as people will already be there partying, walk around plenty before the show, good way to see interesting acts you might not see elsewhere and possibly get plenty of free drinks dammit i want to go really bad now hisgoofyness "congratulations!!! you're a real skydiver now..." 13. no i actually worked for the club that supllied the girls for the parties you would be suprised at some of the requested i heard contrary to popular belief most strippers aren't prostitutes, most make just as much (if they are any good), but stripping is legal in many more places and no pimps to deal with... "Pimpin ain't easy" sorry had to say it to be honest most of girls were college students who paid for their tuition through dancing... but you still had those one's that were trashy, and a few junkies as well, but most of those didnt last long hisgoofyness "congratulations!!! you're a real skydiver now..." 15. if you think that's bad phree, get a "load" of this while stationed in Alaska i worked part time as a dj in a strip club. after being there a while i started getting invited as a chaperone (sp?) to go on trips with some of the girls that did private parties (it usaully included one of our bouncers as well) anyway, at this one retirement party i attended, there was about 10-15 mainly older gentleman. well they had paid to have two girls dance for them for approx 4 hours, granted the girls wouldnt dance for 4 straight hours but they would be present that long... anyway a few hours in and several drinks later, one of the dancers stated she needed to use the restroom almost immediately one of the older guys asked "# 1 or # 2?" which at the time i thought was kind of rude. so the girl said that it was really none of his concern. next the old man said " well actually if it is # 2 i will pay you to do it on this glass coffee table!" at first the girl was totally against the idea. then the man said " name your price." the girls quickly pulled a random figure out of her head " for something like that it would be an extra $ 1,000.00 " well the guy looked at one of his buddies and said "what do you think?" the friend said "let's do it" then both proceeded to count out 500.00 each and handed it to her they moved the coffee table in to the kitchen, both of them laid under the table and proceeded to watch her take a dump on the table that was one of the freakiest events i ever witnessed at least she gave me a good tip for staying in the kitchen with her in case one of the old coots tried something funny after that night, i never looked at her the same it is amazing what people will do for entertainment hisgoofyness "congratulations!!! you're a real skydiver now..." 20. Post Whore... Clay I had the strangest thing happen last Friday afternoon (June 14, 2002). I was on my way home from work, traveling north on I-75. I was just in the middle of loving the hell out of Atlanta's fabulous Friday afternoon stop and go traffic... When suddenly I see a rustic brown jeep with a Skydive Atlanta sticker on the back. I think to myself "this can't be" and then I notice Montana plates.. It must be! So when the traffic just happened to stop us side by side. I say "you aren't Clay are you?" and then I get a funny look followed by a "...yes". So I follow up by saying "what's up you post whoring bastard !!!" It was definitely a freak accident to run in to the world's greatest. I must be honest here, he seemed much more "normal" than his online persona. I expected to see a sheep tied up in the back! LOL..... J/K Anyway, just thought I would share. It was pretty damn funny to me at the time. hisgoofyness "congratulations!!! you're a real skydiver now..." SV

  24. i really thought about the whole box thing for a while... apartment hunting can be such a screwed up mess... specially in chicago hisgoofyness "damn you track fast, it was like something out of a mountain dew commercial..." SV
  25. I was in Chicago from Friday A.M. until late Sunday P.M., and despite not getting to check out Hinckley as I had wanted to..... I finally found an apartment!!! It took all weekend looking at models and trying to find good specials, but I made my decision late yesterday. I will be moving in to the Tree House apartments right off of Algonquin Rd. in north Schaumburg. I really wanted this nice apartment in downtown Arlington Heights but it was way too much for my initial residence in "the land of Lincoln" oh well I got what I could afford and it is in a relatively good location. So, for all of you Chicagoland people that gave me your numbers. This is why I did not call. It took way too damn long to decide on an apartment in order for me to make it to the DZ.. Anyway, I will see you all soon enough. By the way, I am moving Aug. 5, 2002. So anyone that wants to help me unload the semi, I will have cold beer on hand... And now you know the latest on the Goofy one's search for a new home hisgoofyness "damn you track fast, it was like something out of a mountain dew commercial..." SV
