Today is a good day !!! I am now 27 years old. But the best part is this: I just got off the phone with Heather, from Sunrise Rigging, and my new container will be here tomorrow !!! Yaaahooo !!! So I will be airing it out on Friday! Also my mother is putting together somewhat of a birthday / going away party for me at the DZ on Friday. So any of you Atlanta area jumpers, or anyone that is ready for a road trip this weekend, that wants to head to Rome and do as the Romans do on Friday you are more than welcome. She is putting together much BBQ as well the fixings to go with it... So let's get it on to Atlanta Air Sportz. If I am not mistaken they are having a Swoop meet there this Sunday. Any of you that haven't seen the pond since they widened and lengthened it, need to !!! hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

The really bad part is this: before that accident those birds were treated like the most endangered species. I was threatened with an article 15 because of running over one on my way to work. People would literally stop in the middle of the road to let them cross. There would be hundreds of them around the flight line. Besides, they stink !!! hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

I was stationed at Elmendorf, AFB when an E-3 Sentry (AWACS) plane went in immediately after take off. The crash was blamed on multiple bird hits on the two right engines, if I remember correctly. I think they said there was around 36 birds that were hit. The whole story sounded fishy to me. It was a horrific site. I was standing on the flight line and saw the whole thing happen. From the distance I couldn't see well enough to see birds though. It was a very sad day to say the least... hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

i am still brand new in this sport and see many jumpers of lower experience that refuse to jump without one i for one am not one of those people. as a matter of fact, just this weekend i did two jumps without one. i am in the process of transitioning to my canopy size ( a tri 190 ) and the only rig that was available to rent that was smaller than what i had been jumping, and was a throw out, and was not a detuned canopy, did not have a cypres my instructor said it was up to me if i wanted to jump that rig or jump student gear, well i didnt want to continue on detuned canopies in ripcord rigs, so i opted to jump the rig without a cypres at first i had a moment of unsureness, but decided that since i was only doing solos that day anyway, it was already up to me to save my own ass ( as it is on every jump ) afterwards i actually felt a little better about myself, i dont want to get to the point where i depend on any device to save my life i have a cypres being installed in my new rig that is on order, therefore i am not against aad's, i just look at it as a "what if" situational enhancer i hope that i can say i spent all that money for nothing, as i hope i never have a cypres fire hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

oops... it should be 2 : 3 : 4 i forgot about one first time jumping without a cypres so instead of just pretending not to have one, i really didn't hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

2 : 3 : 3 only got to jump on Sunday, that sucked, but had three fun jumps first jump out of a caravan first jump with a throw out PC first jump in my own jumpsuit, which was also my first jump in booties cant wait until this weekend, my new Wings container should be here on thursday !!! yaaahoooo hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

1 : 0 : 0 was at the goodtime boogie friday night... met some dz.commers (lewmonst, her friend whose screen name i forgot, sorry trip, omri, and a couple of lurkers) unfortunately i got a call early saturday and had to fly back to atlanta before i could make a jump sunday was spent doing relative work hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

exxxcellent !!! i havent drank from "the rock" since i was in the air force, i may have to join you with that selection come one come all.... let's get it on to Atlanta Air Sportz July 12th-13th you all know you want to come to atlanta besides this is the same location that will be hosting the atlanta freeflight festival in october, which will include big planes, balloons, maybe a helicopter, maybe a biplane, great swooping, great party etc. etc. so come early and check it out, help me party it up for my b-day hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

well the way i see it, a man should not be responcible for setting up those type of festivities for his own birthday that should be a surprise for him... i'll at least bring the beer... i seem to be one of the only newcastle drinkers around rome hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to Raeford. I was hoping to be in my new rig by this weekend but alas that will not happen. Heather, down at Sunrise Rigging, did all she could do. If I would have only ordered it one week sooner... Oh well, I will have it next weekend for my birthday!!! So all you guys should head to Atlanta Air Sportz on July 12th to help me party it up for my birthday! that is pretty amusing i went to a tattoo and body art convention once with a stripper friend of mine and they had a peircing show on stage with each participant being judged on creativity, style, etc..... anyway this one guy gets up on stage and at fist looks to be somewhat yuppyish; i.e. no tats, no visible piercings, etc... the m.c. actually ask the guy if he was sure he was suppose to be up on stage, the guy proceeds to pull out his "unit" and he has a padlock through the shaft.... that was painful just to see i turned my head and immediately said "i didnt need to see that !!!" needless to say the m.c. said "ok, you're the king" i believe in self expression, but where do some of these people draw the line so clay where was this porter you jumped, dont tell me rome and i wasnt invited hisgoofyness Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

i know... i know... and this weekend won't be much better, i will be in Cleveland, OH Thurs. through Sat.
