Yeah man. You can pick up Glock's all day long (in respectable caliburs ) for like $400. My Glock 22 (.40 S&W) bought as used law enforcement for $420. I'll also add that it came with 4 mags (2 10rnd 2 15rnd). Thats a pretty fucking smokin deal on ANY .40 S&W plus you get the reliability and accuracy out of the box that Glock is known for. In other news, I just purchased me very first 1911 .45 auto. I love everything about this gun. Its feel, its reliability, its "badass motherfucker" look, and the range of aftermarket parts to make it better than it already is. I present my brand new Springfield GI model 1911...... Damnit! Now I want another one to build as a progect in orser to make it all it can be!!! Muff #5048

My big thing is if she HAD a gun she would have at least HAD a chance (however minute). Further, if more LAW ABIDING CITEZENS could carry there would be far less of these type of crimes. My reasoning? If you wish to commit a crime where/when would you likely do it? If it were me I would go to a place where I KNEW noone could defend themselves or those they care about. What would I do if I knew any and every citizen was armed? I likely woudnt commit any sort of crime anywhere near there. I say give the good guys (legal/law abiding gun owners) the right to protect themselves and others by making it publicly know that if you fuck up there may just be someone around that wont stand for that shit. Problem with the smaller caliburs is stopping power. A .45 ranges from 350-500 lb/ft of energy translation to the target. A .380 is about 190 lb/ft. Muzzle energy is key when trying to stop 220lbs of meat coming after you. I personally wouldn't go any smaller than say a .40 S&W. Muff #5048

Well thats a given. And seeing how Ill be using this gun for potential CQB situations, super good accuracy really isnt too big of a deal. Center mass at 50 yds is plenty good enough for me. Muff #5048

Thats what I was thinking, but all the experience Ive had with any 1911's has been the more you pay for one the more picky they seem to be on what ammo they like. The cheaper ones always seemed to not give a crap what you put in the mag. Although, I hand load so I could just make the rounds that the gun likes and is accurate with. Muff #5048
