  1. Could be the connections on the starter as well. Check to make sure all three are on and secure. One is the positive from the batt, ont is the ground strap, and the 3rd is the wire that comes from your ignition switch. Also check all starting system fuses/relays. Muff #5048
  2. Who the fuck robs anybody with a goddamn .22?!?! What a dumbass. Its a good job the cop and the owner put that motherfucker in the ground.
  3. What about the guns? Where is the safest place to hold up a gun shop? Muff #5048
  4. Ill be honest, when I first glanced at this I thought is said 'mormon'. I crack me up. Muff #5048
  5. Get one like this guy has. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=53b_1268856930 Muff #5048
  6. And their stuff is warantied forever. I have friends that have worn their Dillons slam out due to shear volume of reloading. They sent it to Dillon and recieved their press back in bran new condition with brand new parts. Thats one of the reasons I was sold on Dillon. Muff #5048
  7. If only I were allowed to drink at work... I can tell you I wouldn't mind coming in to work everyday, but on the flip side of the coin I really wouldn't have that nice ice cold first beer to look foward to at the end of the day. Muff #5048
  8. Im curious as to the reasoning behind such a law. Technically its perfectly legal to have a one night stand, get knocked up and be a single parent yet for some reason it is illegal for a single person to adopt. I guess I'm just trying to figure out why. Muff #5048
  9. I can't speak for the rest of the country, but I would prefer to see a child adopted by a good single parent or unmarried couple rather than spending his life in an institution and/or foster care. If the single parent is in the good financial position to stay with the little one all day, well - that might be OK. Usually, singles do work. And then? The children's home will be next place for the kid. The unmarried couple (no matter which gender) is a different case. I'd fully support it if such couple is registered as a cohabitee and is wishing to adopt a child. Provided a close background check, of course. A child is no commodity. Is it illegal to be a single parent in Germany? Muff #5048
  10. Awesome! Yeah I hear what you're saying about the absolute precision with rifle ammo. All I do right now is handgun and all I really care about is making major power factor with a reliable running load. If I were reloading for rifle I would use my RCBS SS hands down. BTW, how much does one of those scales set you back? Muff #5048
  11. I fear you underestimate EXACTLY how lazy I am. I cant be bothered to change a powder measure from one tool head to the next then recalibrate for a different load. Thats why I currently have 3 powder measures for all three tool heads I've got. Did I mention that sometimes I pay far out the ass for my lazyness. Muff #5048
  12. You know, this thread really got my thinking wheels turning. Heres what Ive come up with. EVERYONE who buys a gun regardless of point of sale ect should have it transfered via a FFL no if's and's or but's. That being said, NOBODY who LEGALY buys a gun this way should have to have a special permit or license to carry the gun that they've already had a background check for concealed or not. I know this is a pipe dream due to different states independently implimenting their own gun laws, but in a perfect world this idea should completely work. Muff #5048
  13. Very nice setup! Looking at your bench reminded me that I want to get an electronic scale soon. I currently use the rcbs scale that has the weights you have to adjust. It gets you in the ballpark but nowhere near as accurate as an electronic one. I noticed you dont have a powder measure on your Dillon and that there was one of those hand operated RCBS measures in the back. Looking at your stuff I would say I probably have exactly the same stuff minus some rifle dies of course. Muff #5048
  14. I am still using the Rock Chuker I inherited from my grandfather when he passed in 1968. Still have a bunch of his original dies too
  15. Or get them from the thug down on the corner or from family - you know, like 80% of the crime guns. Or their relatives, like Sarah Brady making a straw purchase for her son. So now you're backtracking and admitting that they CAN purchase a gun without a NICS check, contrary to your previous lie claim. Sure can. In much the same way you can purchase cocaine... Ilegaly OH well, I'm sure a convicted FELON wanting to buy a gun would NEVER do anything ILLEGAL. See thats my point. You aren't going to stop shady people selling other shady people guns obtained through illegal avenues. All us semi-normal people can do is to keep doing things the legal way and try to keep the crims from doing harm to us. I personally wouldn't really have any issues with a law stating that you have to transfer a gun via FFL. Keeps everything legal and everyones asses covered. Muff #5048

  17. You should find this one pretty funny. And to think I just wasted 1500 on a bunch of reloading crap when all I needed was a hammer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98I1i8Toj8E Muff #5048
  18. What are the public policy justifications for this bill? Let's assume the state has a "must issue CCW permit" law. In that event: -What's wrong with a background check to make sure the applicant doesn't have a criminal record or mental illness flag? -What's wrong with some method (or various alternative methods) for assuring the person knows how to use the gun safely? - Making it a crime to carry w/o a permit has at least one salutary purpose: if a cop stops & frisks someone who's acting suspiciously, and he's carrying a gun w/o a permit - and the reason he has no permit is because he's a convicted criminal or has a mental health flag, that allows the cop to stop the person cold right there instead of releasing him. Arizona is already an open carry state. The part you quote regards a CCW license. The law puts the people who want to CCW on the same footing as the people who carry openly. OK, so let's eliminate "safe gun instruction" from the discussion. What's wrong with mandating that the only people allowed to carry concealed are those that pass a criminal/mental health background check? They still have to go through NICS to purchase. Wrong. Example> http://www.domesticsale.com/Classifieds/Nevada/Sporting-goods/Guns/ You do realize that when you buy a gun from a private party they ship the gun to a FFL who then runs a NICS check on you anyway. Maybe I'm wrong here but every gun Ive ever bought from a private party has been transfered this way. That depends on the state. Only 17 states require such a check. State requirement or not. It just makes good sense for a private seller to tranfere a firearm this way. That way if there is ever a crime committed with the gun the sellers hands are clean and its up to the purchaser to provide an explination. I would never sell anyone a gun without using a FFL for the transfere. The way I figure it, if the buyer insists on NOT using a FFL then theres a pretty damn good chance I dont really want to be linked with selling them a firearm. Muff #5048

  20. Oh god you are more than just women. My god you are super women! How some of you do what you do and still have time to look amazing is beyond me! It's actually a little intimidating to be honest. But it's not the that having a kid is a turn off....rather, as I stated, it's the kids. It's one thing if we were to get together and smile and have a good time and get to know each other. But for kids, and I know kids are stronger and smarter than we give them credit for, an unstable situation may occur and well.....children need stability. ......ah crap...now you guys are seeing my good side. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This looks like a pretty good example of an answer to your question. 21. That debate will never end. There are upsides and downsides to .45/9mm. Basically stopping power vs. capacity. The best choice varies from person to person. It depends on several factors. My personal choice is 9mm. Let me explain why. Stopping power is worthless if you don't actually hit your target. Standing at the range, well lit, relaxed, with unlimited time is not the same as 3am, grabbing and aiming. The Glock 21 holds 13+1 rounds. My Glock 17 holds 19+1 rounds. 6 extra rounds is a lot of options. I can punch off rounds without worrying too much about running out. The rounds are cheaper, so for the same dollar, I can practice more. Lower recoil is nice. The new Grixxly Xtreme 9mm +P rounds have a tremendous amount of stopping power. Anyone that thinks the 9mm round isn't powerful enough should check into these rounds. One of these will stop someone cold. For a LEO on duty, the larger rounds may make more sense. For home defense or carry, I'll stick with 9mm. Derek V I took the middle road and got a .40 smith for my personal carry. Almost as much punch as a .45, and almost as much capacity as a 9mm. The gun I selected holds 12+1 of .40, but only 8+1 if it's the model chambered for .45. Someone once told me that capacity is for someone who can't hit what they're aiming at, but I disagree and I'd like to have options if the worst should ever happen and I have to use my weapon. I hand load the ammo, so practice isn't too expensive. I personally think that you should carry whatever you are comfortable with and can shoot well, regardless of caliber. That does it. My Ruger MK III will be my carry gun as I can hit whatever I want with it AND it has virtualy NO recoil. Muff #5048
  22. Yeah its a 550. I would like to order a case feeder from dillon, but the auto index of both the 650 and 1050 is what turned me off of those. I like the controll to manually turn the index just in case something isnt quite right like fully seating a primer. And yes, Blue Press is quite possibly one of the best gun porn mags you can get in the mail. Muff #5048
  23. HK is ok, but it doesn't hold a candle to my limited gun. 2.7lb trigger with .025" overtravel. But yeah, the HK is very smooth. Almost as if the trigger goes through the break point vs stopping there then requireing more pressure. Double action kind of sucks though so I just carry her with a loaded chamber, cocked hammer and the safety on. Speaking of safety, the grip safety on the Para has been disabled for easier 'weak hand' shots. Muff #5048
