A bit more than $1300 (actually $450,000 according to the USAF). Although, since Ive started jumping Ive made about 300 jumps without one so my biggest problem these days is remembering to turn the damn thing on. Since it never used to be part of my gear check sometimes it slips the mind when Im in a hurry to make that first load. I still do a proper gear check though. Muff #5048

Why are Mains BIGGER than RES ????
millertime24 replied to shaz_nz's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Good point. While my landing was not off the airport it WAS off the lz. I believe there should be more programs available too for people who want to fly their model reserve just to get them comfortable on it for when they do have to use it. Muff #5048 -

Main: Pilot 150 Reserve: PDr 160. The reserve flies like a 190 IMO. Muff #5048 -
Do You Want A Predictable Landing Pattern ?
millertime24 replied to danornan's topic in Safety and Training
You know what? I'm just sick and fucking tired of people flying their parachutes into each other. Can we make it stop? This is the second fatality Ive been close to (the first one I actually witnessed) in less than a month. At this point I'm just tired of seeing/hearing about people die doing the sport that I love. I jump in a t-shirt and shorts when its warm out. During the cold Ive been known to jump in my ski suit. I'm sure if you really wanted to wear one the dz may have a couple you could use until yours comes in. Muff #5048

Witnessing your FIRST incident

Get on the next load. Thats how I chose to deal with watching my first one. Muff #5048 -
Thanks. Where do you get them? I cant seem to find them with any of the popular online gear stores. Muff #5048

Big kids shouldn't be allowed to have some toys

Ill have to bring it with me next time I come up to Ritz. Muff #5048 -
Thats a pretty neat idea. Can you use the UPT d-bag in other containers? If so I may look into picking one up. Muff #5048

So I just got this crossbow at a local g** show. I now have a shitload of holes in my wall that I have to repair. Anyone else amused by silly shit that you may think would never make it through a phone book? Muff #5048 -
Yup, it applies to both. May seem creepy, but who cares? Do what you do and who cares about what others think. Now if you were in a restroom with your boss... now that may require some finesse. Muff #5048

So YOU were in an adult toy store. That doesnt even begin to surprise me. You the talk about etiquette? Come on man its a sex shop. who cares? Is it likely that you'll ever meet this person in the future? Since the probability is likely a big "NO" then why should you care? Now if it were one of your buds in the store asking you these questions I may consider other motives, but since it was "on the way home" with someone you'll likely never meet again....... My question is "Who gives a fuck?". Muff #5048

I really wish I had the time/money to come up there. I need V to make me a suit that I can fly with a 230lb guy. My potential carreer depends on doing this. Oh and med rare on my steak when I am able to come up. Muff #5048

Pilot hands down. Great openings, powerfull flare, very responsive, behaves when deploying flying a wingsuit, gets you back from bad spots. Im sure theres more, but these are just right off the top Muff #5048

Since Vskydiver and I have joint everything, we admire each others frugal habits. I'd much rather spend $50 on a bunch of steaks and have a bunch of jumpers over for dinner, than drop that same $50+ in some restaurant for just 2 dinners. And you thought we liked keeping you guys around because you're nice and full of good skyjumping information. Muff #5048

In case I land off, I...
millertime24 replied to decompresion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I think what it means (or what it means to me anyway) is chaining up the linesand just stuffing the whole canopy, pc, and d-bag into the main container then just closing it up. Of course, you have to leave enough bridal hanging out to use the closing pin, but Im pretty sure thats how I would do it if I knew I had a long way to walk. Muff #5048 -
I must have dyslexia. I read the title as "Top 3 Beat-Off things to do in LA". Muff #5048

Only in skydiving is it considered "not strange", actually even cool by some, for a man to wear capri pants. Muff #5048

Packing! I really do not enjoy that one aspect of the sport. Muff #5048 -
Here's another from today. Granted this dude weighed like 65lbs more than me. I did end up catching him though. Enjoy and critique as needed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbFFZpcz3xg Muff #5048

Usually the TM or the student have alti's that are in plain site...But if you fel the need to look, use your eyes only! If I am not mistaken, you were not wearing a camera suit, (small wings) trust me, they can be a video saver, you can still falll fast with them, no problem, but without them...good luck going slow! I'd look into a camera suit! Once again, for a first vid, Nice job! Yeah, about that... I actually have this big problem falling too slow, but I was talking with another TI today who I jumped with and he was saying that if I jump a camera suit I can get into a sit then use the wings for my speed range. I'm learning so much. Lots to take in and many many more jumps before I would consider my work quality enough for someone to pay me. Muff #5048

No man Keep them coming. I'm soaking up info like a sponge at this point. Very good pointer indeed. Ill give them a shot. Muff #5048
