You're going to find that there is going to be a LOT of people telling you to both talk to your instructors, and update your profile. That said, when it comes to buying gear, do you want to buy new? Used? What is your exit weight? What kind of budget do you have? These are questions that need to be addressed first before anyone will even give you a hint of advice. About the DZ that keeps "putting off" your license requirements.... You may or may not know that becoming a licensed skydiver is YOUR responsibility. That said, if you've asked instructors to go with you to get your A requirements signed off and they say NO (even when you'll pay them), then the people at that dz are at fault and hindering your progress. OTOH, if you ask and they want to be paid and YOU say no, then it's your fault. Either way, I find it hard to believe that the majority of instructors would deny you the opportunity to get your A. I like pulling at full alt for some things. Usually it has to be hot as fuck on the ground as Im not a big fan of freezing my nuts off. Also, I really dont like pulling that high solo. It's fun for me if there's other people to fly relative with and/or it's a xc jump. Other than that, I usually dump at 8K when testing out new canopies just to get a feel for how they fly/flare etc. Muff #5048

so the retirement went off without a hitch! The plus side is that now Ive got several people who took my number to put togeather future slideshows (at a price of course). And to top it all off, the best part for me was when her kids saw the pics and said "who's that?" then the grandmother tells them "that's your mom when she was your age". Muff #5048

This song was written by a couple of Viper pilots having to cross the Atlantic and having to take a piss. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNdR53fyLck&feature=related Muff #5048

I appreciate you sharing your experience. From what Ive been reading in the gear review part of this site, it seems the only Cobalts having problems with on openings were the ones with "out of trim" line sets. Out of curiosity, how many jumps were on the Cobalt that you jumped before you tried it? Thanks again guys. This info is appreciated. If I end up not liking the Cobalt for wingsuiting, then Ill have another reason to buy another rig to put it in and throw a Pilot in the rig I wingsuit with. Muff #5048

Even balls without holes, it went places I would have nevr guessed! BUT, seems to be back on track... memorial videos of any kind are very taxing, to the artist that puts them together...every one I have done, I cried dozens of times, which is how I knew I was making a good product........... I stopped getting emotional after about the 67th time I went through the presentation. Still, I DO feel something when I watched what I created. Just glad its done now. Muff #5048

And your opinion is dated back in the years before mine. Once you spend a shitload of money on computers and software, then develope the skills able to use both to a 10th of their capacity you MIGHT get where Im coming from. It's cool. And I didn't mean it to come off as being an asshole comment but merely an opinion. Things really have changed since I retired 6 years ago I guess. Sorry about what I said last night. I had been working on that slideshow for many hours (including last night). BBeing in the service I TOTALLY understand. I was "under pressure" to make sure this thing came out as good as I could possibly make it, and you know what? No matter how many times I THINK Ive got a good product, I always go back and find a way I could improve it. Once one enters that mindframe he thinks "well my time and shit HAS to be worth something here". Bottom line, I'm doing something for someone I respect (a lot), and my frustrations shouldn't enter into it. Sorry for blowing up at you too. Muff #5048

I was talking about one of my legs weighing 160. And I seriously doubt that in the event of any sort of "sudden stop" in an airplane, the bolts holding the seat to the floor would be my primary concern. Muff #5048

I seriously have no idea what you are talking about. Could you explain it maybe so I can understand it better? Muff #5048

I think he means completing each jump without having to repeat, but maybe someone who's been flying in a tunnel since age 13 could pass all the freefall skills in one jump. Muff #5048

Wow. That site says I'm a perfect human specimen and I KNOW that aint true. 6' at 160 is a bit light. Muff #5048

Not exactly. You had High performance computers back then? Or that YOU YOURSELF had to pay for them? And by "such an act", are you reffereing to this specific example? Make it known, Im NOT asking for compensation in this case. When it comes to me doing the same for people who I dont even REMOTELY know... yeah my time/equipment is worth something. BTW, have YOU personally invested in a bunch of software and time to ever put togeather something that will make the recieving party thankfull... I'm leaning on NO Muff #5048
