OCD/ADHD/Controlling boss? I do, and I'm almost at the breaking point with this individual. She tells me "You're in charge while I'm gone so run the place how you see fit", yet when I make a decision she doesn't like (that in no way affects the mission), I'm counselled about it. It's like she is telling me "Do whatever you need, so long as you do it the way I would do it". An example; Our commander (a LtCol) told me at 1500 last Thursday that if I could let my people go then to do so. I let my Airmen go then due to the lack of work, she found out about it, then called me in today (my day off) to bitch at me about it. It may seem like mindless ranting, but at least this helps (talking to fellow jumpers). Ive, in fact, vollunteered to be a SF augmentee (basically I wont have to deal with my boss for over a month). Any words of encouragement would be good. I have to deal with this cunt again tommorrow (my day off) and still have to have a smile on my face and act like Im happy to do what she's volluntold me to do. Muff #5048

The officer on the phone was very helpfull and gave me his name, phone number, and badge number (whatever that is) so I could contact him directly for any future problems. These people (provided they are actually here for this reason) could just kick in my door while I'm at work tommorrow and make off with a shitload of stuff.... including my guns (though I doubt they would find all of them). SAFE.... bolt it to the wall and to the floor in a clost and stick all the goodies that are easily removed as well as any paperwork. I have a big firesafe and all the important papers are in a smaller fire safe inside the big safe. Problem is I cant put a safe in my appt. One big enough to accomodate all my "toys" would be too heavy (I live on the 3rd floor). Thats why I keep all my important paperwork (to inlude all reciepts of all my guns) and solid investment assets in a safe deposit box. Muff #5048

So I just got a knock on my door (literally 30 sec ago) and it was a couple of hispanic guys with what appeared to be some rolling lugage. Naturally I grabed the GLOCK .40 (because I'm not expecting anyone and have zero "friends" in the local area) and held it behind my back as I unlocked and opened the door. One of the guys hands me a small piece of paper (looked to be printed on a larger piece then cut to make these "cards") that was ENTIRELY in spanish. He tells me (in very broken english) that he's selling energy drinks or some such shit. Anywho, I told them "no, I already take N.O.-XPLODE" and they left. Here's where I'm thinking possible paranioa; Is it possible that these guys are "casing" places to hit during the hollidays? Maybe I'm just reading too much into it, but my counter terrorism training makes shit like this scare the hell out of me. Muff #5048

Edit; Seriously though, I jump both an Optima (1?) and absolutely love it and for tracking my jumps I keep a Neptune in my pocket somewhere. If it's an audible you want only (like Spot was talking about), you may look into the SOLO. It's cheap, but doesn't have the "swoop" alarms (shouldn't be an issue). Good luck with whatever you get.
