  1. Hi Steve I found the whole article very educational IMO we need to wait at least 10 yr's before we start a Ted thread. R. One Jump Wonder
  2. DANGER RANGER I'm not a Dr But "almost back in the day" I was jumping with a sore ankle and tried to slide in down wind during a demo rather than trying to make a low turn into the wind. Broke the fib and ankle on the good leg If your less than 99% you'll be favoring your bad leg and putting more stress on the good one. About a month ago my choc lab tore her ACL in one leg and two days later she blew out the other leg (ACL) because she was favoring her bad leg Your body, your choice

    Goin' to court

Hi WMW If you can handle SC you'll do great in mediator >>Around here, some of the judges ask the litigants to go to mediation>> I'm not sure if mediation is required state wide for small claims court but it is in the county we live in. If both parities are reasonable and have documentation it should work. >>Generally, my cases start out with: "guy A owes me money" "yes, I do, and I'm out of work">> Judge judy hears that stuff every day with the standard failure to comunicate and document. "I loaned X the money, X responds it was a gift" >>One thing to think about -- if you're not willing to take part in processes like court, and jury duty -- are we really then a nation of laws? And now I'll step away from the soapbox>> I agree ...... sort of. Some employers pay their employee's full salary while their on Jury duty. Feds for sure. OTOH A small employer can't afford that and a person thats living from payday to payday is going to be hurting on $10/day jury duty pay. R. One Jump Wonder
  4. Hi Jerry Ted Mayfield stories We could start a whole thread on that subject. Anyone know if he's on facebook, or still alive he's gotta be old, real old like maybe 70's

Hello Nice lady I resemble that remark
  6. " while I sort of go commando." Hi Justpin I don't know how the ambulance service people treat injured jumpers in the UK, but in the US one of the first things the medics might do is cut off as much of your kit and clothes as they can. Commando may not be a good idea. One Jump Wonder
  7. Hi Jason I'm confused. I thought you had a app or that
  8. Was the cover red plastic with a snap? Sparky Hi Mr Sparky I have a log book with a Black plastic cover (BPC) that used to have a snap. When we got out our 150 jump LBB we checked out the publisher of the BPC log book: SSE. I could be wrong that was a couple of weeks ago. R. One Jump Wonder
  9. Hi Jerry Who's the lone ranger dude Oops Me bad Google is my friend
  10. And the inside, left and right halves. John that is one of the original blue books. The new ones have white paper and the format is a little different. I guess all the info will be in the "cloud" but in 40 yr's ? One Jump Wonder
  11. Hi Jerry Based on the Baton Pass from Hell I don't think a skinny dowel would be a good idea Discussions? Was the beer joint closer than the wind tunnel R. R. One Jump Wonder
  12. Hi AD This is starting to sound like SC. I did a quick search and found the following thread from about 13 mo's ago. >> Re: [rdufokker] DB Cooper it's own section [In reply to] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Could the managers of this site please give D.B. Cooper it's own section. When I look at the overall headings and it shows 45 new posts, only to click on Skydiving history and find that they all are under D.B. Cooper, it's a waste of time. Not to mention that the thread has evolved into "nothing to do with Cooper". Lock it or move it to it's own section PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It has it's own section. ONE thread. If you don't like it, then don't even open it. As for this thread, it's now locked. >> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver It is what it is,
  13. Hi Steve1 Was the Toe sucking at the older LP boogies, a canadian tradition exported south of the border or was that a Montana thing? . R.
  14. Hi PDS IMO Shah is not a troll.
  15. Hi AD Beware grasshoper, speed demon Talk like that has gotten some people banned in the past. I was to see that in a futile attempt to play grab ass with the DB cooper thread some of the current meaningful posts have been pushed off the front page PC Chapmen Me bad I didn't understand the depth of the problem. To bad it will continue as long as the school teacher is out of the room or the groupies have their own class room. It's the teachers decision not ours. I'm gonna vote (don't count) with my feet (don't matter) and stay away (no one cares) Just because the DB cooper groupies want to jerk off in this forum doesn't mean I have to do it with them. I can live with that
  16. Hi DBC Thanks for calling that to our attention. I've never seen that before , or I forgot that I saw it before. R. One Jump Wonder
  17. Hi PC . I agree but that really doesn't mean anything. Some folks have tried to set a example by coming up with some creative threads. With the knowledge base in this forum I know I've beeen reminded of things I've forgotten and uncovered some real gems. Pi whats pi? The boiler plate in the Littlle blue book is a snapshot in time of the history of our sport that imo s priceless. The dashboard for belly warts and the pic of the profile alti is I agree a "bump" isn't very creative but the mods don't seem to have a problem with it. There in charge not us. One Jump Wonder
  18. Hi Mr Sparky The Mr is a sign of respect you earned it. Ok you shamed me into going into my fire proof "security vault" and getting out my Official PI parachutist log. aka little blue book. Me bad there really is 150 jumps logged not 100. Sorry I have OLD and my wife made me stop sleeping with my log books before she would marry me. Since this is a History forum and I got the log book in front of me/myself/I .... somewhere. I think we're missing a little secrete about the little blue book. The 27 pages of important info like the pi symbol, # jumps for a liscence the requirements for a C in hind sight is what it was. How to throw a WDI choose a exit point and spot. PC Chapman and Beatnick maybe interested in this historical info. Also found the little BBB (Bound Black Book ) not the spiral bound ones. Anyone care to guess who published that one
  19. Hi G MR Lawn Chair Larry will never be forgotten.
  20. Hi SS I'm confused please help a old guy out. Since the seal is attached to the RC handle where was the other end of the seal thread connected to? R Hi O Thanks for the info that makes sense to even a one jump wonder... OTOH the found ripcord post set off a fire storm in the DB cooper thread. I'm guessing DB's ripcord is like the holy grail for the DB groupies. DNA (sp?) R. He may have put a seal on the handle simply for identification purposes in case he did lose it. Smart thinking. Ally Bank?

+1 Except as a depositor their interest rate is only "competitive". I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel. Whine whine whine. R. One Jump Wonder
