    I have been thinking about building my wes helmet CCM since he published the directions a couple of years ago. So, after spending time talking to Wes and Matt hoover, I broke down and started buying the parts I need and tonight I am going to start the mold. I have bought a good amount of the materials on the list so far and Im into this project about 350.00 so far. I have most of the tools and such so thats going to help keep the cost down. All total I think I can complete this for around 1000.00 not counting the beer Im going to buy Matt for the times I bug him for help. I will take photos along each step of the way and I will post them to the web site Im starting so that those who are intrested can check them out.

    I've always been told that once it starts to fog between the two lenses there's not much you can do to fix it. I'm not 100% sure though. I tried taping mine until I replaced it but wasn't very successful. Im wondering of maybe its air tight between the lenses and once air gets in there the porblems begin. I dunno, now Im curious.

    Matt, I had the same problem with one of my lenses, the best I could tell is that it had a "leak" in it. I was jumping two video cameras both with the same type of wide angle lens. One lens fogged the other did not. I switched the lenses between the cameras just to see what would happen. The same lens fogged. it got replaced. P.S. Starting my CCM this weekend be ready for some calls :)

    I agree, send it off to the manufacture. They are located in Tampa Florida. I used to jump a tri. I believe it was about 200 or so when I had it relined. enjoy you new canopy

    one of two things has probably happened first, you may have fractured your arm, only an x-ray will confirm this suspicion. Secondly thought is you have a hematoma which means you broke a vessel below this skin, breaking this vessel allowed pooling of blood beneath the skin causing the lump you see. Hematomas basically happen because there is no laceration to the skin allowing the blood to "drain" outside of the body. Best case, over time the body will absorb the hematoma and it will resolve on its own. Either way, My recommendation is to drag your broken ass to the hospital and get it looked at, if you did in fact fracture your arm without proper attention you can loose function and sensation to your hand and fingers. Hope you fee better
