Get a temp. hadicapped permit from the dr and then tell her that you are going to sue the HOA for refusing to provide you with a handicapped spot close to your home. Your other is your home on city street? Your other option is to contact the city and request them to put a handicapped spot on the city street infront of your home. Even if you live in a subdivision, the streets are still property of the city and they have the option to put handicapped spots where they deem it necessary.

I recently had dinner with a young man who is getting ready to start flying camera. I passed some knowledge on to him that helped me along the way. First, dont fly a camera suit until you are successfully flying camera was well as you can without one. Wings can be a great tool but they are just that a tool. It is possible to become dependent on the wings which will limit your range. Wings are a tool used to add range in you freefall speed they are not a crutch. You need to be able to fly your body. Sceondly, Have someone look at your camera set up to make sure it is as snag free as possible. Next, when your first starting out, its a good idea not to add a ring site right away, use a paper reinforcement circle on your goggles. Its possible to shoot good video and stills without a ring site. When your shooting "precision" video or stills then you may consider adding the ring site. Leave the wide angle lens off your camera. Learning to shoot video without a wide angle lens will allow you to shoot good video from a little further away it will also make you more accurate with the camera, you might not get the best exit shots on the 4 way or tandem but that will come. As your video improves and your flying closer safely, then add the wide angle lens. Be patient with yourself, flying camera is challenging getting the exit timing takes practice, your going to blow exits your going to crash into people, try not to go it but be prepared for it. Don't sell shitty video. Its easy to lurk a tandem and show them the video and they want to buy it, again, dont sell shitty video. people are going to show that video to their friends and family. If you have sold them crap, when their friends and family come in to do their tandem they are not going to want to buy a video and you are indirectly hurting the DZs business. Don't shoot a video of a skydive you are not comfortable with. If you are not a freeflyer, dont try to shoot video of a sit fly or a head down. Rickster Powell once told me, if you couldn't be apart or the skydive you shouldn't be videoing the skydive. Furthermore, if your looking at a group of people that are doing a skydive and you know that there are people on that skydive that shouldnt be there don't accept the video slot. I've nearly been hurt more than once by someone I knew shouldn't have been on a damn hybrid or taking a train out of an otter. Listen, but be careful who you listen too. I dont know if its as bad as it used to be, but there are alot of people who really give new camera flyers a hard time, some camera flyers, especially staff at some DZ's who almost seem threatened by someone trying to make a name for themself by flying camera. Find a mentor, someone who wants to teach and who has the ability to teach. allow them to help you along the road to becomming a proficent camera flyer. Most importantly, Have fun. Flying camera and my photography has allowed me to go to amazing places and to meet new people. My resume isn't as long as some peoples but its fairly impressive and I'm pround of how and where my work has been used. Its amazing, I still look forward to getting on the ground and pulling the camera off my helmet to look at the photos I got. that passion keeps me looking forward to every new skydive. These are my thoughts and they may or may not reflect the views of the masses.

Building a Camera Box (Pictures, etc...)

Micro balloons are a thickening agent It kind of reminds me of clay You mix the resin and the hardener and then add the micro balloons to thicken the resin the desired thickness. IMHO it is easier to work with see my post on building my CCM and you can get an idea of what I've used them for. -
Its been a hell of a year, I've had some really positive events happen in my life and I've had seriously tramatic events happen. But through it all my family and friends have been there, and for that, I am grateful. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Be safe

Yea, thats a nice looking helmet. Not too bad for the money either.

You can also mix micro balloons with the resin to give it a thick consistancy I like using micro balloons with the resin over using bondo, I think its easier to work with. -
Skill Development, Staying Current, & Money (or lack of it)

The sky isn't going anywhere, finishing your education is important. Life is all about balance. Skydiving is amazing, I still love every jump I get to make. However, there was a time when I was in a similar situation to you, I chose to cut way back on skydiving. Student loans have to be paid back, remember that. Using money set aside for school to skydive can limit your income for years to come as you repay those loans.. Im not saying give up the sport, I am saying set yourself a budget and stick to it. Your financial future is in your hands plan for it now. God, I sound like my father..... -
with regards to deland it depends on the time of year, Ive gone there and waited an hour or more to get on a load during some months. But this time of year, when the teams arrive to train. Yea, I have to agree, Deland cranks loads. However, if you meet titusville's required jump numbers they do have a great view. If you don't have the jump numbers to jump in titusville, and your going to be in Fl over the weekend I would say sebastian. Great people, busy on the weekends and kick ass view.

I went out of town for the hog flop and Ive been working at the hospital all week. Im planing on starting back again next week when I get paid. Ill have some updates then, I have to go buy some hardware for the crown.

since this is your first post, why not fill out your profile and tell us about yourself. How many jumps do you have, how many camera jumps do you have etc. my sugestion is if your just starting out dont use a wide angle lens.

bonehead flat top pro, Sky Systems has some really nice stuff out, and Wes Rich of rimworldvideo.com makes custom helmets too

Thats my point, If you can shoot sucessfully without the wide angle, your probably ready to transition to using it for what its for. It's kind of like learning to shoot video without flying a camera suit. If you can shoot video without using the wings as a "crutch" when you start using them you can use them for the purpose they are designed for much more successfully. just my .02

I had a great time! Can't wait til next year!

Thats what I thought.

I have two camera's on my head whenever I shoot video, one of them has a wide angle lens the other does not. It's just my opinion but I think you can get good video without the wide angle lens and it allows you to be a bit further back from your subject. However, if your shooting 4 way, 8 way or big ways, you probably need the wide angle lens to more effectively shoot the exit, or if your shooting tandem videos and you like to fly within arms reach of the tandem pair then your probably again going to need to have a wide angle lens. I usually encourage new camera flyers to leave the wide angle lens on the ground until they become a bit more confident with the camera. I shot some great 20 way video this weekend, the camera without the wide angle lens worked just fine, although I will admit the camera with the wide angle lens got a better exit video. Chuck
