Oh man what a f**kin weekend.... 0:31:?(prolly do owe beer for a couple of things) Took Friday off, jumped at Monterey, went to Lodi (and met the outspoken Lummy who I regretfully did not get to make a jump with) came back to Monterey and finished off at Hollister yesterday. I did everything from AFF to Tandem to Freeflying to some medium RW ways....... I jumped my ass off and it felt good. Oh man was the party at Lodi saturday fun. Plus the Bon Fire as big as a two bedromm house...... Well back to the real world ~ Peace........ Sebazz........

Are you cool? Cause only cool people can skydive I am just kidding. What you need to do is find a DZ near you and go check it out. See if you can help out and learn at the same time. Just cruise and peruse this site and you will gain a wealth of skydiving knowledge. Most DZ's require you to be 18 but you never know

I have been tipped occasionally by my tandems. I thank them profusely and move on. It is not expected by me or our packers. I just think it's a nice gesture. Of course I am a feel good sensitive tree hugging type so my words will probably fall deaf on most It's just that I get paid to jump. Thats friggin sweet!. These guys watch us jump then wrastle our canopies into a little itty bitty d-bag. That sucks If I had to pack and make a bunch of tandems I'd be dead. Again our packers have been doing this for years and are really profesional. I'm talking and extra $1-$2 for every two to three personal pack jobs. The DZ can cover for the staff gear. Sebazz........

It's not like $5 is all that much anyway. Throw the dude or dudette a couple extra bones for cryin out loud. Our packers either do it for a living or to help them get through school. Either way these folks are integral to our DZ and we need to show them our appreciation. So tip or I'll key your car just like I keyed that packers car for giving me 1/2 a line twist. For the record: I have never keyed a car in my life. Sebazz........

At the job I am at currently I did not mention skydiving at all for my interviews. It is a very conservative atmosphere strangely even for the laid back silicon valley. I worked here for almost a year before anyone new (someone saw my USPA sticker on my car). It has since though improved my standing at the firm. I don't believe it would have helped me get my job but now that people know and I have been here for 2.5 years it has increased my popularity and standing at the firm. Especially since I took one of the first year associates on a tandem. Funny one of the Partners called me into her office and asked bluntly "are you trying to kill my attorneys?" She smiled after and started to ask me questions. I rarely talk about it though. Overall it depends how you lead in to it i guess.......... Sebazz........
