"maybe i'll go to all of them and see what i like best" Thats always a good idea when you go someplace new, there will be local politics, there always is, its the same the world over. Just ignore these and enjoy meeting all your new friends. Skydivers the world over are kick ass friendly, in my experience. Speaking of friends I see you are from Swindon, do you know Simon Ward, an old jumping friend of mine? Cya D

Yeah, git him, he's been hittin' on your girl........ Cya D

Yup, I'm with Phree on this, know the abilities of those you jump with. Another thing is currency and jump numbers on type of jump. EG I have about 850 belly jumps, but the last 150 or so have been on my ass, so how good a freeflier am I? Would I still ba able to turn some CRW points??? clue:- I flail h/d.....and ain't done any CRW for a couple of years. If we could all put our egos aside, and truly examine our own ability, currency, and shortcomings with a realistic perspective, we would probably all be a lot safer. "A good LO will be able to judge experience on a few questions." And it will be confirmed after even fewer jumps with the person concerned. Its simply not that easy to put numbers to this sort of thing. Cya D

"$5 bucks says CLAY TKO's Chrome in 5" Hmm not giving good odds on that one..... But if TequilaGirl were to jump in to defend her Beu (sp?) we would need another cooler and some spare chairs.... Cya D

"blah, blah blah - does this count " Of course it does, in fact it sounds like a lot of posts here my enthusiastic friend, in fact it makes more sense than some I've tried to read! -
'Ordered' you???? WTF, thats like a car mechanic 'ordering' you to change something. Would you put up with that. Exercise your right as a consumer and tell him to GTF..... I can live with 'suggest', but if a rigger 'orders' me to do something, I would probably take my business elsewhere. What colour jumpsuit do you have? The handle may be 'camoflaged' sp?...That's about the only reason I can think of to change handle colours, and it would prolly be cheaper if you simply sew a patch of contrasting material where the handles are.... I don't know about the rigging issues here so can't advise on the wrap around...... But I'd deffo speak to another rigger first..... Cya D

Hmmm, looks like a BMW 5 series to me...... thats BMW= big mature woman, good body work, nice upholstry, but heavy running costs, need regular servicing, ultimately quite expensive to run......But you will get years of enjoyable rides from them! BTW did ya git some (jumping) yesterday Trey? Cya D

Yim666, [deniro] you talking to me?[/deniro] My point a couple of posts up, its a blast, but its not the same as skydiving...... Cya D -
I'd be tempted to put a 'legal' disclaimer in there, not just a recommendation that readers check with the manufs....make it more emphatic that you take no responsibility for accuracy of the information.....We live in litigious times brother. Otherwise, definitely a useful addition, as ever I'm impressed by your tireless efforts, just so we can sit around and talk about boobies and post whoring........occasionally even discussing skydiving. Bungyjumping more dangerous then skydiving...

Oh, I agree with you Paul, bungee jumping is even more like a fairground ride than the ubiquitous one-time-tandem experience. But people still enjoy those roller coaster rides without actually learning anything at all about the mechanics and processes involved. They are simply passengers, being spoon fed adrenalin. Hell, I quite enjoy roller coasters, but don't really want to learn how to build or operate them. Whereas, skydiving on the other hand, continually requires new skills to be mastered. new challenges to be met, and new beers to be opened.....So you can't really compare the two types of experience. I'm sure you see what I mean..... Cya D -
"He's jumping a Hornet 150" Any idea what its loaded at, approximately ? Cya D

"check my hackey a lot" I like to feel my pud a lot, just to make sure everything is in order, you know, it gives me a nice rosey glow sort of thing Cya D

I've done a few, even an 'illegal' one from a well viaduct in Scotland. It is a buzz, its not about learning, its about that old endorphine thing, but there is no progression. I haven't done any since I started skydiving, which as we all know is the only way true to get that endorphine hit. Cya D -
"I'm proud to be doing my part!!!!!!! " Such a worthy cause, if ever you need a hand.......I'd be happy to 'do your part' for you...

"We are not made up of meat as you humans are" It sounds to me like you are all bone ...... Hehehehe Cya D

"hand is still numb" That's just perfect then, it'll feel like someone else is doing it for you!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Ummm....everything that Sebazz said...I also have a friend who took up jumping (static line round progression!!) very late in life, and he loves it. Spends his retirement jumping all over the place! Stick with it bro, something will work out for you. Cya D
