  2. "To all the would be or wanna be swoopers..." etc etc Amen brother Josh. Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  3. "I will bring some of my girlfriends" Good girl! Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  4. "and poop on his head from 50 feet" Visualising......> Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  5. Langar! Can you get Bananaman (Big Dave Morris) to do the tandem, he's one of the best I've seen. His sunset head down tandem at Vichy (from 98 I think) with his daughter was one of the best sequences I've seen for a long time, cool choonz on the video too. Knut Krecker did the video, and there were some very cool freefliers with him. Tell your SO and SO that, ooh don't forget to mention he's a British, European and world record holder too.But any of the regular TMs there are pretty shit hot, they have a good video crew there too. BTW I have no connections with Langar, in fact to my shame, I haven't even been there since 99. But i seem to recall Chuckles runs a mean bar, so be sure to hang out afterwards, and exchange no shit tales with Milko and the crew. Oh! good pilots too..... Yer SO will love it, but don't pressurise her into staying in the sport, more money for jump tickets for you
  6. "banging a tuning fork on my head!" Yeah, time for a second opinion, btw what key was it? Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  7. "jonesing for freefall" All too familiar with the sensation, but think about the leave time
  8. Here here, and amen chaps.....I reckon many AFF grads need to do some low hopnpops so they are ready for a real low one someday. And remember in some countries I've jumped in, they say "que?" when you mention things like SIMs (peculiar to America I believe)...
  9. "Mama Carbonies famous Pasta" Stop that you, my drooling is about to fry my keyboar@#$%^&*?>
  10. Fek Richard...unbefreakinlievable. Where do these suits come from. What business is it of theirs what you do in your own time.. Where do these fuckwits draw the line avalanche surfing? shark wrasslin'? Skydiving instills many qualities such as- Meticulous attention to detail and constant vigilance mental focus physical fitness teamwork the ability to master new skills situational awareness commitment the ability to make correct decisions at the correct time etc All of which are sadly lacking in many of the suits I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Besides if its good enough for George Bush sen, and Prince Charles its good enough for me, throw that one into a interview if they give you a hard time about jumping. I wouldn't want to work with someone in our line of business that could not keep their cool under a high stress situation. Would you want a spineless ignorant suit around you when you are riding a potential blowout? Or would you rely on one of these ponces to pull you out of a nasty spot in a far off country thats in the midst of a civil war....Do want to be sat next to a panicking spineless tosser when a chopper is about to ditch in the North Atlantic? I'd say they did you a favour man..... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  11. Ah okay Drewfuss you edited out some stuff while I was replying.. All is well.........I was fearing an outbreak of flames, which I never find that constructive..... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  12. Drewfuss dude, whats your take on apportioning blame in this instance.......Levin is a very capable freeflier, and I personally value his opinion on many safety issues And in Levin's defence, corking is a no-no regardless. This is what happens when someone loses situational awareness, something a freeflier with loads of experience should not do.... "After all, the belly flyer in the group was falling at normal belly speed." If they were not going that fast how did the 'cork' happen, and how hard was the collision....really....or was more like a standard RW type under, ..no air,... biff,... type of thing..... 13. Hell yes! I'm a safety consultant for 'high risk' engineering applications...fires and stuff, I design and build large oil installations mostly offshore. Its all about 'managing hazards' in a mature and open minded way. Besides, most of the work I get involves no interview at all, its all about reputation, and experience....... plus what Phillykev said. 14. "Am I turning into a dirty old man since I passed 30?" Yes you are, you used to be a dirty young man Oh wait a minute, if you are an old man at 30, fek, I must be a dirty geriatric . So by my reckoning, no you aint a dirty old man...yet....patience young jedei.... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  15. Yeah, the Purdue confusion thing, I saw it but others beat me to it... At least we still know how to laugh at or with each other....that's one the main things I like about this forum.

Price is very good, and I'm prepared to wager a large amount Shiner that the price in the UK will be at least 1.5 times this.... Cya at the weekend. 22. Ahem, that should two parachutes, one each surely. As clay sez but two folk wearing a RIG EACH!!!! exit the aircraft holding on very tight, then one deplys his main, on opening the other climbs up and jumps off back into freefall. Ask someone who's done one to show you how, they can get gnarly. Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
  23. Any good? Saw a tech spec which mentioned I link and Micromv. I'm cautious about the micromv as I've heard its not compatible with a lot of Firewire cards. I want the cam, but I don't want to have to rebuild my NLE systems around it. price looks good here Help please, my PC7 is about to give up the ghost after years of faithful international service. BTW yeah I know, its a PAL version, but thats what we use in civilised countries..... Cya D GR# 37 Remember how lucky you are to see and touch the sky; the blind may only dream.
