  1. This specialized training is not cheap. Especially since you are electing to forgo the sammich making and beer opening courses. We will be starting spring Courses soon at Skydive The Farm. Let us know when you will be arriving. Also please included a FULL version of your avatar and any similar Pictures with your application so that we can give you the proper consideration for acceptance into this elite program of higher education.
  2. I loved the convention and went the last 4 years it was held (The "Bad" Years as I kept being told and still had the time of my life) I definitely want to see it come back.. But I think it is already too late for this year. If they were to announce a return in 2009 and start NOW pushing the event, there would be even more desire for the return and people could arrange vacation time. Issues with vendor participation could be hopefully worked out and a TRUE Family reunion could happen. To bring it back this year and have it flop would surely put the final nail in the coffin for good. I would rather see a HUGE effort put into planning a 2009 WFFC than to have a small 2008 convention that kills it off for good.
  3. I would like to see better communication from our BOD. The Magizine would be a great way for this happen. We have the capitol Commentary to get insight from the executive level but I would like to see maybe 2 pages set aside every month for regional and National directors to talk about Issues, projects, things their committees are working on and such. I would not suggest that every member of the BOD submit something each month but maybe that each member of the board submit an update a couple times a years to let the general membership know what they are working on and/or what concerns them in the sport. Each month Parachutist would publish a couple of these articles.
  4. Hey! What's that supposed to mean?! It means he probably lives with a Redhead! ie.. a Glutton for punishment.
  5. so what classifys as true potential, and maybe I dont want to. I tend to be defiant and have a rebelious streak to authority unless its mine See Turtle. Potential. I say we start her with Sammich making and beer opening 101 and then progress her to Bikini clad Firearm training and then re-evaluate.
  6. Trained?? Girl haven’t you figured out by now that Bearly, Sort of, Kind of Almost House Broken is about as much as you can realistically expect from us?
  7. Have to be a correspondent’s course and I am not sure we are accredited for that. Once we get the Completed application we can scrutinize it thoroughly and see if any true potential actually exists.
  8. Why do we always have to pull out the captain obvious card for her? Pretty much.
  9. Why?? Blaine doesnt post here anymore.
  10. That shirt is Sooooo Last year. This year, I am moving more towards a retro Look. I am leaning more towards late 70`s early 80`s psuedo-nerd for this years wardrobe.
  11. Cool. Can I get the same deal? I will just ride with Spence.
  12. The disciplinary committee has met and decided that You have not been naughty enough to warrant action at this time. Please try again and resubmit an application at a later date.
  13. Kinda makes you feel at home, Huh?
  14. Hit it one more time for the Road and then Hit the Road. I would also suggest giving her a good old fashion Dirty Sanchez before leaveing, That way she will atleast remember you for a while.
  15. This is very sad. There were atleast 100 times when I could have/would have/should have been those kids. At 18 I didnt have an $80K 500hp Sports car.. I had $5K 400hp Muscle Car. The big difference?? I am quite positive the 80K car had better Suspension, Handling, Braking and Safety features. I will point out that while there no way to justify or rationalize the kids behavior.. At least they were not doing it on a Public Road or Street Racing. I caught alot of grief back when my daughter was racing. Giving a 12 year old girl a Top Alcohol Junior Dragster that was considerably quicker than your average 5.0 Mustang (0 to 85 mph in 8.9 seconds (1/8 mile)) some thought was crazy but she had been racing for 4 years by that time and worked her way up to that car. Now that she just turned 16 and wants to get back into racing, I am considering giving her my 66 Belvedere that is every bit of 500 HP on the bottle. But she will have to earn that car too. The sad reality is that this kind of thing happens way too often no matter what the kids are driving. The fact that it was an Expensive car and the location of where it happened is what draw attention to this incident. The exact same accident could have happened in a Honda Civic. It is a tragedy. Young Kids doing stupid things. Most of us were lucky enough to live through similar stunts at their age. These kids were not so fortunate. The car did not kill them, their actions did. The exact same actions that the majority of 18 year old boys with have always done with their cars. Open her up and see what she will do. Powerslide ANY car off a 200 foot embankment and things will not turn out good.

Step on up little miss. The Bottle of patron is still in the fridge at the DZ. Thus far I have to agree that I have not seen anything resembling... "Game".

Unfortunately.. I have to agree. That girl is no fun at all.
  18. Tan Lines? Doesnt that Hurt Them??
  19. Forget the G-String.... The C-String looks very interesting!!
  20. I like Unsuited cards better than Suited Cards.. Cause then you get TWO Flush draws!!
  21. There are no 100% correct answers for those questions. There is a Right time and a WRONG time to play each of those hands. (Yes, even a WRONG time to play AA although it is extremely rare. I have folded AA preflop in a Live tournament intentionally andwas 100% certian it was the right move) The first thing your should always consider is Position. Suited Aces are great from late position depending on the Table but I personally hate playing them from early position. Same with Suited Connectors. In tournament Play at an Aggressive table, I will not play any hand that I am not comfortable raising with from any position other than the Button (Or cutoff if the Button is a passive or weak player). I am not saying to actually raise every time, But don’t play a hand that you would not be comfortable raising with.
  22. One more question for those that would like to see DZ Inspections. How much are those inspections worth to YOU? How much would YOU be willing to pay for that inspection? IF (HUGE IF) a DZ inspection program could be created, The Jumper will be the ones paying for it one way or another. Would you like to pay for it by paying a Higher USPA Annual Dues or Pay for it by paying higher Jump ticket prices?
  23. I am getting a little sick of the thinly veiled personal attacks here. This past ridiculous. This Thread is about the GM program and possibly replacing it with an inspection program. I have stayed completely on topic. I did mention that such a program might help to distinguish Virtual DZ from Real DZs. Weather that is true or not does not warrant being called a Pig. (And I agree with what Bill said. Virtual DZ would just create a different Seal and Jumpers will just go for the $15 Jumps) At no point in any of this discussion of the past few day have I attacked anyone with an opposing opinion. I find that the Moderators being the first to go down that road pretty sad. There are lots of varying opinions on a lot of separate matters here. I don’t have any intention of keeping quiet with mine and am completely willing to listen to and learn from others.
