I am not going to spoil the finale for those that have not seen it yet.. But I will say That overall I was disappointed. Very much so in the way they wrapped up Starbuck. The entire second hour was just way too warm and fuzzy for me.

Agreed. I like the idea of giving it away instead of selling it. I do remember a while back that Vendors that DONATED these certificates to Boogies had asked that the boogie organizers report back who won the certificate. Not sure if they were trying to stop people selling them or not with that. I won one of these certificates several years ago that got me 50% off a Complete Aerodyne Rig (Icon, Pilot and Smart). It saved me about $2000. I had about 30 Jumps at the time and it was absolutely the best thing I ever won. Without it, There is no way I could have bought a rig at that time. If you win one, Use it or Pass it on to a new Jumper getting started. I also liked the way the Roaming DZ used to handle the raffles for these certificates.. If you won, you got to go up and select a certificate (Hopefully something you wanted to use). That way people got certificates they were planning on using.

I watched it and it was ok. I really like Ian McShane as an Actor but he is basically playing Al Swearengen in a suit. I kept waiting for him to say "Cocksucker" the entire episode Lots of possibilities with the show but in general I felt the writing was weak.

Fuck Unions. They completely take away the power of the INDIVIDUAL. If I can do a job better and more reliably than someone else, I deserve to be paid more for that work. Union do nothing but keep the dead weight occupied and make things harder on those of us that take pride in our work. If I dont think an employer is pay me what I am worth, I am free to go elsewhere and find a better job. That is the way I like it. I have worked for over 25 years in manufacturing plants, Both Union and non-union. I would NEVER take a another job in a union Plant. Too damn hard to fire the incompetent and the rest of us have to carry their dead weight. I got so sick of "grievances" being filed over trivial petty bullshit (All that adds to over head) and forces management to either offshore or go out of business.

Not sure if that would be in the catalog or not. Allison Krause is a member but not Plant. I guess it depends on who owns the rights to the song. The Opry has so many great songwriters a members. My first thought for Megan was to try Crazy by Patsy but after second thought.. Pasty is one of those untouchables. After Pasty did a song its been done and no one is ever going to improve on it. So maybe that wasn't such a Great Idea. Now a Good Marty Robins Song like Big Iron, The Streets of Laredo or the best Choice I think would be "One Mans Trash". Megan's voice reminds me a lot of Kelly Hogan whos band Jody Grind did that song many years ago and was one of my all time favorites. I dont think I could. As for Adam, Not sure if you have seen the Pics that have been floating around but they definitely really hurt his chances with the teen girls. Even my daughter which had a crush on Adam since long before Idol (She had seen him in Wicked and went googly eyed then) completely lost interest when all the rather graphic pics of him making out with Men and the others with him in Drag (Also making out with men) came out. The teen girls I think are pretty turned off (Not because he is gay but they all have seen some pretty graphic pics by now if they went looking). It is hard for them to "Idolize" and have a crush on someone they were grossed out by. Next week - Simon will HATE everyone. Why? It is Grand Old Opry Week and Simon always hates County no matter who does it. The Opry catalog is HUGE and it will interesting to see what each one picks. I would love to see to see Megan do some Patsy (Or maybe some Marty Robins, I think she could put a great spin on his songs).
