Yep.. I tried to do 100% of my Banking online. But here is the where the bank can really cause problems using Online Bill Pay... They "FLOAT" any money you pay bills with for about 5 days. Example: I used Bill Pay for my Child Support. The bank Automatically Mails out a $1K Check to my EX on the 10th of every month. The money is deducted from my account right then (When they send the check, Not when the Check is cashed). My ex doesn’t get the Check till the 15th, She waits a couple days to cash the check. Where is my Money for those 7 Days?? I don’t have it. She doesn’t have it?? The real problem comes when the Check doesn’t show up on time. She calls me demanding I write her another one. I have to explain, I cant.. The bank already took the money out of my account. I don’t have it. I call the bank and they say they will put a Trace on the missing Check and if it doesn’t show up in TWO WEEKS, They will put the money back into my account. After this happened twice, I gave up on this great "Modern Convenience".

Team Stroke-Her lead by Captian Hippy was the only raft not to bounce someone in the river (Unless you count jesse trying to get intimate with a Stick.. But that is Whole other story..) Team Raft-Tards lost a couple and I think Captian Bolas holds the record with 3 swims. I think even kitty took a dip at one point.

Absolutely!! There is a time and a place for PBR. I am going to have to put together a cultural outing in Atlanta soon that starts off at The Star Bar. Also the only place where you will ever see me Dance in Public. I love to go get my Swing on!! (Wait.. That’s that other Bar. never mind.)

Dude.. The secret is a Salt Shaker. Seriously.. Nexxt time you find yourself facing a PBR.. Add a little salt.. You get used to it after about 10 of them. (Provided you drink all 10 within 2 hours)

Hey now!! PBR is an exception!! That beer has character. There is a Bar in Atlanta called "The Star Bar", Its a Rockabilly kinda Place that hasd been around for years.. PBR is THE Beer at that place. I Love going there and getting a Pitcher of PBR and listening to "Redneck Grease Delux", "Southern Culture on the Skids" "Elvez.. The Mexican Elvis" or any of the other great acts that come through there. The annual Bubbapalooza there is not to be missed!!

I posted this earlier and it was lost in the deletion of several Threads. BillVon has sent it back to me so that I can repost it. ******************* You compared the WFFC to the "Vegas" of Skydiving. I agree that is what it used to be. But not the past couple years. The crowds are not there anymore. The madness that was Quincy is not there like it was before. but you refuse to believe this because you still have vision of what the convention used to be like. The “Vegas” of skydiving as you put it. Now it is more like the “Indian Reservation Casino” of Skydiving. Have I seen People Land against the Pattern there?? Yes. Just like I have seen at every other Boogie I have ever been too. Do people Swoop the main landing area there. Some do.. But not as many as I have seen at other places. It happens there just like every other DZ I have been to. It seems clear that no matter what, there is a large group of Respected Jumpers on here that are going to bash the WFFC every chance they get even though they havent been in years. In this case.. a Guy made a Low Hook turn and died. Unfortunately, This happens at least once a month in this sport. At Home DZ`s, Competitions, Small Boogies and now it has happened at Rantoul. The sad reality is that within 30 days it is going to happen again somewhere else. The incidents forum is full of these accidents. Most say the same thing.. He wasnt a show off.. He normally didn’t do that. He was a safe swooper.. I completely agree that he should not have been swooping in the main landing area. But this exact same things happens at every DZ I have been to in the past couple years. We should address this problem and more aggressively stop jumpers from doing this. It puts us all in danger. But in no way is this just a WFFC problem. In fact I saw less of it at Rantoul than I saw at other boogies. This thread is now going in circles and turned into a bunch of pointless name calling. I apologize for starting it. "Know it all Skygod" was a poor choice on my part.. But it was the term that best described someone that chose to criticize an event they haven’t been to many years and justify their criticisms with their Jump numbers as opposed to first hand knowledge. Ron: I normally completely respect your opinions and have found great insight and knowledge in many of your past posts.. But on this issue, Bashing an event that you haven’t been to such a long time.. it is hard to give you the same credibility. Again.. I do apologize for the Skygod Comment. I am in no way suggesting that the WFFC is a SAFE place. No Large Boogie is a Safe place. I am just saying that it is no where near as bad as many here would like to make it out ot be.

That is sad. You dont learn as much on Solo Jumps as you do when you have an experienced Jumper to help you by giving you a point of reference in the air and/or teach you things. When I got of AFF status, I had to BEG my DZO to let me do Solos`s. He didn’t think it was a good idea as he said "you teach yourself bad habits." and he would point to someone to go jump with. That was before the Coach rating thing and experienced Jumpers were lined up to take newbies out and jump with them. If you can find any Jumpers with the old school mentality of "Give back to the Sport" that are qualified to jump with newbies.. Jump with them if at all possible. (Hint.. Show up on Friday or saturday night with a case of beer.. Get to know some, Bet you find a couple are qualified to jump with you and wont charge you for it.) If there aren’t any at your DZ, Try Going to a different DZ.

Sadly.. That is not true. At the past several DZs I have been to, People were doing high performance Landing in the main landing area. It has become an accepted practice at too many DZ`s. And I agree that it should be addressed. I had a Swooper cut me off on Final last year in Houston and Buckle my canopy about 30 feet off the ground. And this was during an Event that catered to low time jumpers. There should be a seperate landing area for High Performance landings and it should be enforced. These are problems that need to addressed everywhere and not specific to just the WFFC.

A hold em game always breaks out there. I will not be there this weekend but skinny should be around. He will get you a game up.. JUST DONT LET SHIMMEL PLAY!! He will drive you nuts at the table!!

How can they tell you when They dont know?? Balloons are kinda at the mercy of the winds. If the 60 Jump kid is not comfortable with the landing area, He should not get out. I know at the Dublin Boogie this year there was most of a Balloon load that landed with the balloon because when the operator told them to exit, They looked down and said FUCK That!! The ones that did get out landed in a subdivision. Personal Responcibility. The balloon is giving you a ride, It is you choice if you want to get out. One a side Note.. It was great to meet you at the Conevention and share a packing tent with you. You are one of those people that come across on here like a total ass sometimes but in reality is a great guy to party with. I think that is true of alot of us on here. And if you are really going to pass up on a CarboneZone Bounce Burger because of a Comment on here.. Your loss Buddy!!

But it does generally mean a little more conservative and a little more common sense. Actually I am arguing PURE logic. People who haven’t been there in years are saying how dangerous it is and crazy it is. People that have been there the past couple years are saying it is not like it used to be. Which is more plausible to listen to?? I completely agree with this. What I disagree with is the Rantoul being singled out and made to sound so much worse than other Large Boogies. All Large Boogies are dangerous places. I still say that I have seen much more stupid things going on at other Boogies. The WFFC is actually rather tame compared to some others. The Party atmosphere the past two years has really sucked. By midnight, the VAST majority of those Late 40 Something’s are long since in bed. Wild and out of control?? It wasn’t even close. Much bigger and better parties at other Boogies. Again, I agree. But There were more people at Z-Hills Holiday Boogie this year than at Rantoul during the time I was there. Same logic could be applied there. Bashing the Convention seems to be the Thing to do for a lot of people that haven’t been in years with very little basis in current fact. Once again... The WFFC is Dangerous. Just like any other Large Boogie but it is NOT as bad as many on here are portraying to be.
