Reading the Scottty Carbone Thread got me to thinking (Yes, I do that occasionally but try not to do it too often cause it does usually cause a headache) With the true innovators and people that defined our sport starting to age (Not saying you are getting old Scotty but... I was at a boogie a while back and you were in bed before midnight!!) and all these great stories about the truly wild days in skydiving.. Has anyone thought of collecting these stories for a Book?? The statute of limitations has surely started to run out on most so that they could be told in public again!! A few names that immediately come to mind.. Scotty Carbone, Bill Booth, Peanut, Beazy Shaw (Bring extra paper if you collect his stories.. They tend to go on, and on, and on.. But the Beazys story of the first time he met Scotty is a Classic.) The kind of stories that wont quite make the Museum when it is finally done. Anyone out there with any actual writing skill be interested in taking on a project like this?? A coffee table type book, self published would be great. Stories.. Fact or Fiction, Legendary Quotes, Pictures from "Back in the Day".. Songs, Poems All the things like the song like Scotty lead us on Shannon’s memorial Jump that I have never heard in its entirety before... Things like the Herd initiation that Scotty just described. All these things need to be recorded or they will lost forever one day.
