    ok. so we are both smart ass's! What do you suggest for a new still camera guy that doesn't know what the aperture/f stop/iso settings do?? I got a Rebel T1i and was planning to start by just shooting in Sports mode at first until I can learn more about the camera. Is this what you would suggest?? I appreciate all the help!

    Damn it! Looks like I'm gonna be forced to make the drive to this boogie...I am pretty excited though. Looking at my log books right now.Havnt jumped in temple since my jump 33 on 7/27/07. I Now have 497 skydives. Way too long Blue skies

    I learned to jump in Texas 3.5 years ago. Have not jumped in Texas since my 50th jump. I now have 500 and am excited to say that I will be visiting the great state on Labor Day.... Who's going? Any of the Gravity Rat crew gonna be there??? Blue Skies!!

    I am definitely down for Jamaica as soon as I can. Been there twice but not since I've been jumping. When you go try some guinups (if the're in season) and rose apples. Very good fruit there. Best orange I ever had was in Jamaica. Let's get some funding pulled together and buy a community house near this dz haha.

    I just did a balloon jump out of Perris. They do them 365 days a year (weather permitting). There are two people that are regulars. The guy we went with was great! His name is Dan @ http://balloonskydive.com/AboutUs.html His balloon holds up to 7 jumpers and the other lady has a big ass balloon that holds something like 12 jumpers..... We were able to get 6k for the first group and the second group got 7K! Balloon jumps are definitely more fun than planes and helicopters. Worth the money!

    When you cannot go forward into the wind to land (landing backwards is no fun). As a general rule I would rather land my canopy then land in one of these crappy skydiving planes with high winds.

    I am also curious if somebody could compare the pulse to the storm.... Does the Pulse get you back from spots like the Storm. (I imagine not as good, but.?.?.?.) Speed upon good flare. Faster or Slower??

    I agree with the Storm being a great canopy. I have 100 jumps on a spectre and 180 on a Storm and I believe the storm to be a much superior canopy. It has better penetration in the wind and flares fantastic.... MY ONLY DISLIKE is that when brakes are stowed, and right after opening it is very twitchy. And harder to control direction.

    The speed limit is just a general guide... You will get tailgated by me if you are doing that shit on my highway, hehe... Please stay out of the left lane LISAH unless you need to pass someone. I would much appreciate it. BTW cops dont pull people over in your area unless you are going 17+ over the speed limit...

    You technically didn't really have a malfunction.... If somebody had pulled the cutaway handle then everything happened like it was supposed to... And yeah you have no cutaways but one reserve ride
