  1. Does anyone have good contact info for PISA?
  2. Its going to my rigger today after work. Im trying to figure out how to contact PISA. No I would NEVER sell faulty gear. Once my rigger inspects it, I will go from there.
  3. Thats very true, since I cant immediately afford to replace this reserve, I will ask my rigger about that, when it goes for a repack.
  4. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> That contradicts my experience. I have packed hundreds of Tempos and have never heard a single customer complain about un-commanded turns. In reading the Tempo reviews here on DZ, it seemed like they were running 50/50 with the reviews, some loved them, but the negative reviews sounded like very similar if not identical to mine.
  5. Thanks! I was definitly rattled when I landed, but I cant wait to get back in the air!!!!!!!
  6. I had to wrap it that many times so i could get a good flare from it. Without any wraps, I was in deep right hand brake just to get it to fly straight. My rigger said that PISA reserves are indicitive of that and he has experienced that with a Pisa tandem reserve. I also found while reading gear reviews here, that other people have experienced that with their Tempo's as well. I have attached a pic that was taken of my reserve right before I landed. By looking at my arms, you would think I was in quarter brakes, but it actually in full flight in the picture.
  7. Well this was the first ride (ever on this reserve), Thats kinda what I thought, but my rigger told me that is just how the Tempo is....
  8. I think Im average. I have ALOT to learn, but IMHO in this sport, there will always be things to learn...
  9. On my 2nd hop n pop this Saturday (from 5000'), I had a cutaway. My boyfriend was close enough too me to be able to see that my main came out of the bag twisted up. The twists were all the way down my risers. I tried to pull it apart and kick my way out, but it dove down and had me on my back. So I initiated my emergency procedures and by 3000' I was under a pretty white reserve. My reserve however spanked the S*** out of me (Tempo 150). I also had to wrap my left brake line around my hand 3 times and the right I had to wrap 4 times just to make it fly straight. My rigger said that is very indicitive of the Tempo. Regardless, it brought me safely to the ground.... This was my 3rd cutaway in 77 jumps, however the first two were on the same rental rig 3 years ago. This was my cutaway on my own gear. I can't wait to finish my canopy course next month!!!!
  10. Congrats to your son! Does he plan to take AFF
  11. Sebastian has one coming up check out their website http://www.skydiveseb.com for exact dates.
  12. ****CAUTION - LOW JUMP NUMBER PERSON POSTING**** Really they said that after AFF1? That seems odd. Not many people have a natural arch from the word go. It took several hours in the tunnel for me to develop a good arch. Arching properly was a huge demon for until maybe the last 5 jumps.... seriously. Of course your gonna be stiff on your first jump, your brain is screaming at you wondering WTF your doing? One thing that helped me work on my arch beside the tunnel was arching on the wall at home, stand about 1.5 of your feet length away from the way and arch in until your pelvis/abdomen are on the wall, and hold it. I used to do this all the time. God advice can be found here, but the best advice always comes from the instructors at your DZ. Good luck!
  13. Well, he is an Aggie. A pot-smoking hippy Aggie, but an Aggie none-the-less. Aw.......I don't think that's a fair assumption
  14. 1. Seeing my kids afterwork today (this is an everyday thing, but I look forward to it everyday
  15. Yeah, my face resembled that of Simon's when I was watching that, it was like a train wreck mixture of Pink & Gwen Steffani... I like both Pink & Gewn S. but whatever that was that Fantasia was doing, was totally appalling at best...
  16. what is the floor jack for?
  17. I didnt mean the "gosh" got too me as far as the word goes, I agree 200% with you that there should be more clean-cut kids without a potty mouth in the world today, its just the "way" he said it. He sounded a dumb fat kid, thats the best way I can desribe why it drove me up a wall. He just speaks and acts so unintelligently. One of my biggest pet peeves in life is a lack of common sense. And something tells me that he has been so sheltered that he does not have much if any common sense. And he always has his eyes half closed, I just want choke him and tell him to open his damn eyes...
  18. I litterally wanted to claw my eyes out while watching David A's homecoming. I seriously cant stand him, cant stand the way he looks, talks or sings. I swear if he would have said "gosh" one more time last night, I think I would have puked. The other two's homecoming's brought tears to my eyes. David A has been so sheltered by his "stage" dad that he has no clue about the real world. The other two definitly know. It is a shame that Syesha got voted off, but at least she will get a signing from someone since she made it to the top 3.

    Antiques?

I did the Ebay thing, couldnt find anything, and all the antique shops that I have called want to see it, and it weighs about 50 lbs. Not something I am eagerly wanting to lug around. It will probably be a fixture in my house until the "cows" come home... but after tinkering with it last night, I became curious of its Value and history of the company.

    Antiques?

And Im not talking about Airtwardo.... Seriously, I have an antique Baldwin Sewing machine, and I would like find a value for it. Ive searched google until im blue in the face. Most I could come up with is that they are modeled to be similar to a Singer sewing machine. Thanks for your help!
  21. Im gosh, Im so gonna share that with my friends who just graduated from the EMT program with me!!!
  22. It looks ok on some men, but just like everything else in the world, some things are not for some people.
  23. I hope your wife feels better, Acid reflux can be nasty. My mom has suffered from that for years. As far as your dad goes... is it possible that he is too smart? Did he realize the car was a standard?
