  1. can you hold some of his stuff hostage. I know its not ethical, but neiter is stiffing your roommate for rent...
  2. We have all heard of the silly laws on the record in some states like "widows or single women cant skydive on Sunday in Florida" and "Its ilegal to have sex with a porcuppine in Florida" and "if you tie your elephant to a parking meter, you still have to pay the fine". Well does anyone know of a legit "state law" website that shows these laws are still on the books? A co-worker of mine and I are just curious if these things are hear say or actual laws that are still on the books in different states.... I know there are a lot of people with a lot of time on your hands that post here, so I thought Id give ya'll something to do...
  3. OMG is exactly what I was thinking too! Wow thats one lucky girl who survived a reserve canopy ride!!!!
  4. You poor poor girl... I have a whole suitcase full of them! I have discovered that most men (excluding my boyfriend of course) are not worth the headaches they cause. Bob's come with many benefits: 1) they only want it when you do 2) they dont bitch when you get off and wanna stop 3) you dont have to put up with them in the rest of your life 4) no bullshit included, no arguing, etc etc 5) BOB will NEVER cheat on you 6) batteries are cheaper than most men... 7) BOB's come in a wide variety and sizes, you go for men like that and you get a nasty label attached to your ass 8)BOB's dont transmit STD's

    I'm pissed!

such ignorance makes me wanna cry.... I just dont understand it. There has and always will be trash of all ethnicitys and one's color is not what designates them as such. I often tell my friends that I am "color blind"....

Yep I know exactly how you feel. I have experienced this first hand with the town my grandma has always lived in and my mom has lived there since returning in 1990. Even tho my mom graduated from the only school there (which at the time housed all grades), she is still considered an outsider b/c she left in 74 and didnt come back until 90. 18 years later she has no friends, other than her husband. I went to school there for my freshman & sophomore year and was called big city white trash for having tylenol in my locker. Well the school I came from graduating class of 2000 kids, we were allowed to have tylenol or other such headache stuff, Lord knows the school didnt want to deal with 5000 kids (total no.in grades 9-12) with a headache. When I was smaller I would spend summers with my grandparents there and I can clearly remember signs that were very racist that said "N***** dont let the sun set on your ass in this town" I was never so appalled in my life. Coming from central Florida, I always had friends of all etnicity's and had never experienced such "hate" before. The area has changed some and the bigger towns that border the small one have opened up per say. But the small is still very closed minded and extremely unfriendly and unaccepting of anything new.
  7. Thats a great tool to have, however it didnt show Wal-Mart in my area, and at both Wal-Marts that are equal distance from my house, you can save 3 cents a gallon by using a wal-mart charge or by putting money on a gift card to buy gas with. I have been doing this for years. I know 3 cents doesnt sound like much, but it adds up!
  8. He's been entertaining us in the DD forum ....
  9. Even tho I have only met one mod here, I totally respect all of them. I wouldnt want their job for any amount of money. I mean seriously, with the amount of crap that gets started here and the people who post here who deliberatly like to stir shit up, it cant be a very fun job. Baby sitting a bunch of adults sounds like a good time too me....
  10. Thats awesome! Good job! I have somewhere around 5 hrs now, and yeah it def helps. Paige is AMAZING in the tunnel, and fun to fly with too!
  11. I will always be the first in line to respect my elders, its the way I was raised, but Im talking about the flat out rudeness to people in the service industry. I worked at Home Depot when I was pregnant with my now 6 yro and you could always tell the snow birds, they were just down right nasty for no good reason. All I can say is when I am that old, if I am financially well off enough to have two homes and travel and spend 6 months at each, the last thing I will have is a nasty attitude.
  12. I have lived in Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Indiana, & Ohio. Florida is by far my favorite. I love the warm climate (I seriously despise being cold). The worst part of Florida, IMHO is the snow-bird season. Nothing worse than thousands of old people, who are for the majority too old to drive clogging up the roads and causing accidents. And most of them act like we owe them favors...
  13. Had a buddy in high school who had a pair of those hard-nosed bible-toting parents. One day he was thinking about the anniversaries and birthdays of everyone on the family, and it suddenly struck him: Oldest sister was born too soon. Boy was Mom embarrassed! So much so, she wouldn't even discuss it. Thats one thing that I have never nor will ever claim to be. I am a Christian yes, and that has gotten me thru a lot of difficult times in life. However, I never claim to be perfect or act perfect of fall into being a "hypa-christian" mentallity. My kids, my friends and others have seen me fall and definitly not act like people have deemed that a Christian should act lke. I am not proud of this, but I am human, which makes me far from perfect.
  14. My friend's daughter has one of those. They're Southern Baptist and are involved in their church. She just took it off before she had sex at 16. Save your money. I was actually going to havemy old wedding rings melted into one for her. I thought it would be a good way to put something that ended bad to good use.
  15. Well as my first response said, I wish someone would have taken time to talk to me about this as a youngster. That is the one thing that if I could do over I would in a heartbeat, I would have most definitly saved myself for marriage. I think my life would have turned out totally different from that one decision, I would probably still be married, but to someone else. Because of how I was as a teen and young adult, I didnt make the best choices in men. Which led me to marry the person I did. I am however not ashamed of my past and I will openly share my mistakes with my kids. Something my parents did not do...but then again they didnt do a lot of things. My kids do know my boyfriend, and he respects them and vice versa. We do hug and kiss around them, but on a platonic level if that makes sense. We do not play tonsil hockey in front of them. As far as other aspects in life, I do not do the whole "do as I say do not as I do" thing. My parents did that with me and I dont have a lot of respect for them now. When I am with my kids, I mind my mouth, dont drink and exhibit any other behavior that I dont want them to do. I think I definitly lead by example.
  16. I do, and when my daughter is old enough to appreciate it and understand it she will get a purity ring (ring that sorta looks like a wedding ring, and is worn on the same finger). I wish someone would have taken the time to talk to me about this, but I was a nusance to my parents . I have told me daughter for the past year or so that "True Love Waits". My boys are much younger than she is, but when they are old enough to understand, they too will be talked to about this. Im sure I will get flammed for this, because Lord knows Im not an angel, but I do try to raise my kids in church with values and self-respect.
  17. If I had to rate myself... I would go with a 5... just average middle of the road... nothing special but not chopped liver either....

  20. Its sad to say, but in this "sue happy" day & age I would be ready for anything. I really hope they are better friends than that.... good luck man...
  21. Just curious, are your jump numbers correct (77)? Yes why? I have low numbers but have been around for 5 years... I put some things (like my kids and my job etc before skydiving) so I have low numbers... but been around for the "NEW" to wear off...
