    I dont think it is against tandems, but rather against the DZO's that treat fun jumpers like shit and wont allow them to jump at their DZ's. why do you feel that you have the right to tell others how to do their business ? Their business is NOT to provide fun jumpers with altitude, but to make money. No matter how much we agree or disagree - the bottom line is that they are a business and have absolute discretion on who and when they allow to use their services. Please re-read the first line of my original post.... then focus on my complaint... which was that we were told to come out, that they would put us up.... I could give two shits in the wind what a dzo does with his business... but is it too much to be honest about it when an fun jumper calls and inquires about jumping there....

    I have an add up in the classifieds, looking to trade my Triathalon 150 for a 170 something... I received a repsponse about a Skymaster, however I have never heard of this canopy and when I did a search it didnt turn up anything... any info would be awesome...thanks!

    No unfortunately, yesterday was the last day of our vacation. We are both back at work today :(. We were there from 10:30 to 2:30 yesterday, but now that we know it is less than a 10 hr drive for us, we will be back sooner!

    I finally made it there for the first time yesterday and I just feel compelled to make a post about how awesome everyone there is. I have been to a lot of DZ's and I must say that there are A LOT of dz's that should step up and take notes from the Farm. We showed up about mid morning and were greeted by super friendly people and then the otter was put up for less than a full load. I had a rather interesting landing and I was really taken in and given a lot of encouragement and great advice. I cant put into words the hospitality we received there. Here is a big Thanks to Hans and all of his staff!

    After the manefest person told you to go pound sand, did you then speak with the DZO, who had told you that you could jump there ? Kevin He was not there, but I told her that I had talked to him on the phone.... she didnt care.

    It was all made better better by Hans and the other staff at the Farm. We stopped by there yesterday and they put together a small Otter load for us. The hospitality that we received there is by far the best I have ever gotten anywhere and I have been to some damn nice dz's with uber super great staff....

    I understand that it is the DZO's right to choose only to fly tandems.. but on Wednesday of last week I called a small midwest DZ that we would be driving by on Saturday when we were heading home from Summerfest. I asked if we could come by and jump and was told yes...by the DZO. We got there around 6pm on Saturday, walked in with our rigs and was very rudely told by the manifest chic that they were not flying fun jumpers and had not for 2 weeks and that all of their fun jumpers had left then for another DZ. Im ticked because we drove about 100miles out of our way to go there.... IMHO, Tandem factories should advertise themselves as just that and make it clear that they are not fun jumper friendly... RANT OVER....

    It will take a very long time for your heart to heal, just take it one day at a time. Talk to him, I know he is listening and watching over you. I finally made it to the farm for the first time yesterday. My boyfriend and I made sure to visit his tree and bench... Hugs

    During Summerfest 08, my boyfriend and I wanted to stop at some DZ's on our drive back to Florida. I called this DZ to inquire about jumping there and was told to come on out. When we arrived and walked into the hanger, we were greeted very rudely by the manifest girl and was told that they did not fly fun jumpers and that all of their fun jumpers were now jumping at START in Ohio. I explained that I had talked to the DZO earlier in the week and she did not care. There was not one friendly hello or smile. Rather glares by obviously unhappy staff. I know now where not to go.

    Skydive Chicago is the premier DZ. Definitely sets a standard that other DZ's should follow. The staff take professionalism and friendliness to an all new level. Everything is top of the line to facilities, planes, equipment, and housing at the DZ. Beautiful DZ, great vibe. Definitely a DZ to visit if you haven't yet. Tons of places to land, very well marked LZ. 2 Thumbs up!!!!!!

    The fireworks kicked ass!!! By far the best I have ever seen... the pass with the otter was amazing! Tonight is the Team Dirty Sanchez foam pit party... ya'll don't wanna miss this!

    Wow, if you can watch this over and over again, you're a tougher guy that I am. I ball my eyes out everytime, but it is a great classic movie... I also forgot to add Full Metal Jacket to my orginal list... Love that movie!!!

    Ditto! I know him personally, and he is wonderful person, very caring with a huge heart! A bit odd (but arent we all to some degree??) But a great person none the less. We are still in regular contact.

    Ive been battleing insomnia for 6 years now. If I dont take some sort of sleep aid at night, I might if Im lucky fall asleep by 4am. I have been taking the OTC walmart brand sleep aid in the orange and white box. Its cheap and works great.
