    We had these in the house in HI. You can hear them when they jump from the counter to the floor. "thump" http://www.instanthawaii.com/cgi-bin/hawaii?Animals.cane These are the same way... you can hear them scurrying along the walls, and shine a flashlight at them and you can see their eyes... so not in the same ball park as funny....

    They typically lay their eggs in dark places where there is a lot of microscopic biological activity for their young to feast on. These are usually couches, beds, and under toilet seats. So, you'll find them there a lot of the time. Just let them live. They take care of the mites and things that spread disease. I know spiders are theoretically good to have around, but I cant stand being afraid to sleep with the lights off becuase of these damn things.

    How do I get rid of them???? I am absolutely terrified of any spiders, but these that are as big as my hand, literrally give me panic attacks. I killed two last night by drowing them in spray cleaner (thats as close as I can get). Then laying in bed I saw another scurry up the wall that was a good 5 inches in diameter. My house is super clean, and I have a dog and a cat in the house (I always thought having animals around kept certain kinds of pests out). I don't know what too do, I almost slept in my car last night, just becuase I know there are not any in there.... sounds crazy, but my fear of spiders is that bad....HELP!

    So... do you get any strange looks from other people on the roads, maybe some leers from guys? I haven't noticed any strange looks while driving... but I do work at a church... that was interesting first day I came here with that license plate. Luckily, everyone here knows that I jump and it didnt cause me any grief....

    Why has this post turned to support and or bash the tandems? I started this post to rant about the behavior of DZO's that treat fun jumpers like shit. My first jump too was also a tandem. I never even knew that skydiving was something that I could do... Im glad I made my first tandem. I didnt start this post to bitch about the act, but rather the poor business practices of some DZO's. Again, it is the DZO's right to do whatever they want at their DZ, but they dont have to treat fun jumpers like shit and lie to them in the process...

    I have never had one, and always heard a good age to start is 40. I am 33 and during my annual my doctor has never suggested that I get one. Should I seek a second opinion or just go do it... I have insurance so it is no biggie....

    my 2 cents is that that finger loop also keeps it from possibly rotating around your wrist where you cant see it, which could be bad....

    A lot of dz's that fall into the "tandem factory" also fall into this category. Once your done spending big money at their DZ, they no longer give a shit if your there or not.

    Doesnt suprise me at all... this forum is the biggest shit starting mill that I have ever expierenced in my entire life. There are so many people who post here who just absolutely love to stir up shit and cause grief for other people... I will never understand that mind set, but then again, my life isnt pathetic enough to need to do that.
