Jo needs some help. I am terrible at searches in the thread and I need some help finding something I know I posted more than one time. I believe it was when Jerry was here. I was trying to explain or going over the 1979 trip with Duane. I talked about all of the places he took me to. I couldn't understand why JT would say things did not exist. What I am seeking is any statement I made in this thread in regards to Washougal about a park with some stones at the entry or just a few feet into the entry. When we were there in 1979 it had started to rain - it was at the entrance to the park along the Washougal river that Duane told me just down the road was a cemetary and he knew some on buried there. This park which someone identified on this thread is now VERY important. Duane and I walked a way down the trail inside the entrance and he pointed at some ROCKS - several large Rocks and told me his initials were carved under one of them. We explored the fact that he may have been part of the groups with the CC and prisoner who built the parks. We did not explore this a lot. I definitely told JT and he completely dissed me and told me they were NOT even there anymore. I am NOW hoping that this is in print someplace in this thread - it has NOW become of the utmost importance as if JT was the only one I told - This has been HAUNTING me recently and I need to prove I talked about this to someone beside JT. Smoking 99 and Vickie are great as searched and Snowmman would have it in a heart-beat. I remember JT telling me they were NOT there anymore! PLEASE guys when I start mis-spelling words and NOT making any sense at all - PLEASE TELL ME "GOODNIGHT JO". It is humiliating to return to the thread the next day & read what I have posted under the influence of medication. Even I do NOT understand what I was talking about! Oh and I did WHACK the HELL our some HOLLIES today. Had a good afternoon. My arms are very very strong and those loppers are great. BUT, my problem is picking up the branches or raking up the debri. Of course I only did ONE side and about 6 feet! The defeat of fatigue - is not on my side! I like that Defeat of Fatigue expression. Do something YOU love even if you know you will suffer for days! I guess just being physical about something gets the adrenalin going and you do NOT feel the pain until later. MY arms are strong as hell and the strongest thing about me, but you would not know that to look at me. All one thinks is "Little Old Lady", but behind that gray (white) hair pulled severely back in a bun and brown eyes aged with gold & hazel - is a little spit fire. Sweet little old lady syndrome does NOT fit me. Looks can be very deceiving! Nor does my crooked smile reflect - deception or remanents of a stroke (probably that repetitive expression I make when I read a perplexing & ridiculous post or reading my own post made after taking my medication)! To ALL: Frankly I caught the humor and thought it unique. He got a similar type reply which is by the way TRUE. I believe Robt99 might be near my age so somethings we just say what we think. Sometimes to break the atmosphere of what is going on. He knew I would make a reply and he got the reply he actually expected. UPbeat not beaten down. Since I do not keep up with the errors other make it make so difference who said what. Robt 99 has been a valuable and forthright participant. I note he looks for little ways to trip me up - if I have taken my medication I might have replied in a different way. He was actually trying to lift my spirits and he did it just right! Being accessible Belvins is not always a good thing - especially if you have told stories that seem to loose their punch and every one is tried of hearing it Death is not always a good thing and feelin tired is not a good thing, but we are all going there someday - some of us sooner than others. If I could have my choice I will make it to my spot on the bay and watch that sunset . It may be the last time but then I could have a good day and actually go down to the water in a bating suite and sit in the water and hope it will make me feel better. Just took my mediction so maybe tomorrow will be a good day - migh feel like WHACKING the hell out of some of those Hollieys. This IS EXACTLY the position I knew you would take! IT is your opinion and not a real story about the individuals who have come forward. You are one of the subjects and you had only one objective -promoting a book. Jo Weber produce more than you could ever conjure up if you investigated the rest of your life! She didn't intentionally set out to do anything other than have the FBI investigate what her husband told her. She didn't take advantage of the family and friends of the suspect by throwing their names around in public. The only one I have named are those I could not find on my own...and names I gave the FBI. I didn't do that until 2006 becoming completely baffled by the FBI efforts and secrets. You have the opinion my offering is very thin - well, yours my dear does NOT even exist. Have you of recent spoke to the individuals you wrote about or have you heard about what they have to say about you? The FBI didn't even go talk to them - so how thin is your ice. At least the FBI spoke to friends and other involved with Weber. They just didn't go deep enough because I knew so little myself. What surrounds this case now is your complete and overwhelming obcessive possession of the only investigative tool the Public has ever had in the D.B. Cooper case - a public internet vehicle for the public and those NOT writing a book to actually propose and to form groups to investigate where the FBI never went. Georger you better read post to Blevins. I have finally had it with him and anything that man has to say. He has NOT got on OBJECTIVE bone in his body and he is proposing to write such a book! What a HOOT! Now before I go I will get a little political here: Several people in this area have received letters from Blue Cross Blue Shield in Florida. (Individual who have carried their own policies for yrs and did not have pre-existing problems) telling them that their policies will be closed as of Jan 1, 2014 due to the Affordable CARE ACT. One example of the premium being paid was $347 per month with a $3000 deductible. This program will now cost $636 with a $6,250 deductible just for the bronze plane with Affordable care. The silver, gold and patinum are completely out of that range. People are getting irate after getting their notices from BCBS. What is affordable about $636 per month for one single person with a higher deductible than they had with the personal policy? This is just ONE example others are flooding in across the nation. NO ONE told the PUBLIC they could NOT keep the policy they had - and the INSURANCE companies who are underwriting OBAMA CARE didn't CARE! Washington does NOT live in the REAL WORLD! If you didn't want people to quote you, or refer to you regarding Cooper...you shouldn't have come forward on Cooper in the first place, right? I have to say I don't blame you for coming forward, assuming your story about what Duane said at the end is true, and I have no reason to doubt it. Whether it means Duane was actually Cooper, I can't say. Perhaps YOU NEED to write about yourself and your own story! Talk about how you co-oerced elderly people and then got them to say what you wanted them to say and how embarassed they were about the things you said that could easily be proven otherwise. YOU should be openly exposed for what you did! Tell you what - the thread has to write the CHAPTERS on you and your suspect! The thread has to write anything said about you or your suspect. I have learned to read the posting backwards tonight! Usually I go looking for my last post knowning I am signing off. The balance of the particial posts above got lost in my state of mind - one created by the medication. Sorry about that. In a prior post by Blevins he stated something that really really ired me. I stated in a post shortly after that for you guys to note his remark without quoting the remark. Well, when I went back Blevins had removed his remark. Next time he screws up I won't give him a chance to change it. WARNING BLEVINS - do NOT mention me or WEBER in YOUR Cooper redundant book you are writing. After I had spoke about Gilliam and Duane's past in CA and friends Duane's family move to CA to be with, Blevins had the unmitigated gall to make as suggestion that Geestman was the one who called Gilliam....he is now trying to incorporate my 18 yr search into his crap! THIS is how unethically he is! It IRED me to NO end. The research on Gilliam is relatively easy to find - but the history of his wife's family is not that readily available. My work has been involved in the fact that her maiden name was Barth and the stories told about her match the stories told to me by Duane's brother and his sister and things Duane said. Nothing made up - but things I had NO idea might be related until I found out who Gilliam was. Even then I did not get it! It took my being curious why the things and places in Gilliam's life matching things I knew about Duane's past and his families past. Won't go into the details. Anyone with an ounce of curiosity could find these things themselves - all they have to do is go back to things I discussed and having NO idea what they meant in the early yrs - 1998 to the a point some time within the last 2 yrs. This was NOT me trying to make what I knew fit what someone else was saying! It is just something that happened. It was still a long shot - but I could NOT make it go away. That is when I started to search into the past of Gilliam's wife & the things I found blew my mind, but still - the story I was basing this curiosity on was a story the Grand-daughter wrote about her Grand-father & claiming to have taped it. She is a writer and even though her genre is NOT something I care to read - I ignored that - she is actually pretty good at what she does and has a lot of promise as a writer if directed in another direction. (HOPE SHE REALLY TAPED IT). The entire point of the useless bit of trivia is to EXPOSE BLEVINS for what I had a gut feeling for all along and I have been very vocal (in the thread about this) - exploitation and NOTHING but EXPLOITATION. He only posts to generate his book & NOT REAL research. He DOES not care how many REAL lives he destroys in the process. He took SENIORS & exploited them! THAT is my opinion and the things STATED in this thread actually verify this. Blevins being here has ACTUALLY stopped any real progress the thread made into Cooper as 85% of the posts for the last 3 yrs are trying to make him see himself for what he really is. Me - I am a pain in the ASS for you guys, but in a completely different way. What I tell is about someone I ACTUALLY knew & was married to for 17 yrs - not a stranger, who told me a few days be for he died "I'm Dan Cooopppper". Ironically I really didn't know MUCH about the man I was married to for 17 yrs! So I found out thru the research of others and thru the research of members of this thread. Much of it was duplication of things I had & when you guys hit on somethings - I went back to my OLD files and provide details. Some of you actually dug up things I did not have. Some things found were contrary to what I had - some only enforced what I had & there are STILL blank spots. Now those are being filled in! Some spots we may never know the answer to - unless it has already happened. 42 yrs is a long time for people to remember the details of the crime. Those who saw pictures & composites in 1971 did NOT connect them to relationships 25 yrs earlier to someone they might have known in the past. Now old arrest records never revealed by the FBI and old files the FBI nor anyone else had reason to seek out are now of the utmost importance. Property records will connect or have already connected Gilliam and Barth and Weber (not Duane)...to the knowledge Cooper needed to do the deed. The family history of the Telephone Operation in Vancouver - is also of utmost importance and MORE important is the history of her Father and her Mother - the people her family knew and the places they worked and the inlistment records of both Barth and PA Weber - when, how long, where, and who they knew. There was a 3rd man who was a friend of Barth & Weber, but I haven't found thos old notes and do not remember his name. I am sure John wrote me about it as talking on the phone with him was very very difficult - he was basically deaf when I first contacted him & it only got WORSE. A lot of the history depends on if the old floppies being converted into a read-able format. The person in control of the items has been reluctant to do so - has no idea what is on them. It is important the files be looked at & the FBI is probably NOT even aware they exist. I believe most of what is on them is the family heritage and the stories handed down for yrs and also enlistment documents, deeds, death certificates, birth certificates - etc. Nothing other than perhaps a connection to Gilliam & the Barths is of any importance to the Cooper case. I came back to make a post and forgot what I had to say. Something about Blevins jumping on the Gilliam bandwagon with Geestman! I believe he erased it real fast or perhaps I just IMAGINED it. After ALL I am crazy delusional and off my rocker! I want so badly to get back to WA, but is is physically impossible now. I have good days, but it would be my luck if I tried to make the trip I would end up in so much pain, I would have to I take my DUMB pills! Sitting is very painful. Too bad they don't have the flight now where one can lie down. Do NOT want to be remembered like that. This girl is a TOUGH Cookie and not an idiot - Well, she does get lost in Crowds on a bad day! So much to do and so little time to finish it. One ever realizes how short life is until they can predicted their own demeas! 6 month to 2 yrs. At the rate I am going down noW - I bellieve it willl be only a few months. If I didn't have the stress of this house to take care of I think I would make it longer IF I got a lot of help with the move. Hare to take trips to look for a place to live when it is difficult enough to do what I need to do. HAVE to get TO COOLER weathe so I and have some peace and tiem away from the horrid RASHES. I am a loner because of my condition and not by choice.. Used to be a very active person - should see me dancing to the Music on good days, There are 2 festiviles goion I really want to go on...One and Orange Beach and the other was Our big Greeks thing. But did drive alone to the loacation realy knocks me down. Ice packs and Pain pills - NOT a good thing to do and not safe for no only me but other. Sure wish some one lived close that like the same things I did. Do not have a problem standing and walking - but sitting to get there is a different thing. . I remembered something from yrs ago about contacting a man at the PDX at the recommendation of Mr. H. He thought if anyone had the planes co-ordinates it would be that man. I actually still have my notes - but they are buried in about 17 feet of documents & notes. Your post jogged my memory. The man who did take my phone call was very nice & you are right the information WAS turned over to NWA per my conversation with him. As far as he knew it may have been the only copy available and he was UNAWARE if the FBI had a copy of the actually flight record (he used another word I have forgot and admitted they didn't have all of it even then). I guess it was perhaps a recording of the crews communications and co-ordinates. He was very nice & did NOT talk over my head like so many have over the yrs. Outside of trying to get information I could not possibly have understood - I tried to GET everything I could. He commented he wished he had made a copy - but he was back then doing his job! Others had came before me - but, he was familiar with my story. Others had been writers & media. You brought this conversation back to my mind after ALL of these yrs. I think I discussed it in the thread, but only after he had left his position and retired. The man who asked me not to reveal the conversation at the time. He WAS under orders not to talk about it. He broke protocol because HE KNEW WHO I WAS & he wanted to help. I remembered that part. I didn't even know what I was asking him for. This was YRS. ago - I had his old number and name and for some reason something was posted in the thread and I wanted to talk to him again, but he was NO longer at the PDX. He had retired according to the person who took the call. Sorry if I get somethings wrong - remember I have been on this thread since 2006 and that is a long haul. I have also been searching and talking to people since 1996, but was not very vocal until the FBI screwed up on the phone with me in March of 2000. The ire of the misinformation by the FBI was WHY I launched such a long long search - NEVER lie to a woman who believes she's right. You see even though I do not use the search factor - I do remember these mundane facts about what I have done & spoke with someone about. Terrible with names - such as 377 I should know his real last name, but it will NOT stick to my memory. Like the man at the PDX - I remember the conversation, but not the name - maybe because he told me not to mention our conversation. Call me the obedient wife. I thought it was you in the thread who had spoke of talking to Mr. H or made is sound like they did. We ALL know Bruce Smith BLEW his interview with Mr H and was NOT asked to come back. Did it ever ocur to you that Kenny had a retirement program with the airlines and a private one he contributed to? Lots of us had our own version of what is now IRA's. We contributed to some kind of program for our retirement outside of our SS and employment. Unfortunately I have a little medication in me right now and cannot remember the names of some of these financial vehicles we used outside of buying and selling commodities at the right time. The 60's/70's was the beginning of buy low sell high. One woman I know invested in property in Chicago and became a very wealth woman. She probably didn't make much more than Kenny did and her line of employment did NOT provide her with health insurance or retirement programs. She bought low and knew when to hold and when to play her cards. She did take a fall like many of us did over the yrs - but not enough to hurt her as she varied her properties just right between commercial and investment property. Robert99 I believe I can provide you with the answer to that one. You are right - the maps used by the thread came from none other than Sluggo & his site. They are also the maps Sluggo provide me with. As far as I know those maps are NOT official maps. In 1971 I doubt there was the technology to create such maps. I think what Sluggo probably did was overlay the co-ordinates onto a map he had. I am sure he tried to keep it accurate unless there was a reason to falsify a map. Only Sluggo can tell you the source of the maps the thread is using - but they are the same he provided me. Perhaps jointly if we approach the FBI they will release the maps ACTUALLY used by the FAA and FBI in 1971 and other dates closer to the 1971 incident. 99 - you are a pilot. WHY don't you get an old map from 1971 and put the co-ordinates originally revealed in the records/minutes of the flight and from the FBI onto the map. Or you might be able to obtain from the FBI a copy of the ACTUAL mapping used by the FBI and FAA. One would have thought not everyone would just take the map provided to the thread was THE map the FBI used! Since you have already done this on technical maps - could you do it on a map like Sluggo used. Show the difference between his mapping and the actual mapping used by the FBI or is it so close it would not matter. I think the point is that you may have shown Mr. H the Gold map - yea, you can be sure he had never seen that map - because Sluggo created it. You at one time posted part of a map - but it was so technical I could not make heads or tails out of it! Remember NOT everyone who reads this thread is a pilot or jumper. So please use a map that will show the area like Sluggo did and place YOUR co-ordinates on it and lets see how much difference it makes. Make it so we can see the entire area like Sluggos did. I for one am curious. Since you are the 1st to state this as Florence Shaffner has been known to express "Maybe U are on to something". LIKE maybe we have been working with a map that is in error or is it so close it would make not one Iota of difference. U have me puzzled. I know that you spoke to Mr. H and hope is doing OK. Understand he has LOTS of pain and getting multiple shots for his spine. I don't think he will be with us much longer - so any information you as a pilot can extract from him - that is for the better. At least you are some one on his level and that is a good thing! Some one needs to know what is in his head and record it, because anything JT relates is inaccurate and tainted. Go get the FACTS - please and spend quality time with Mr. H. Ask him about some old files he supposedly has (per JT) that were offered to him from the FBI office in OR. I do NOT recall Mr. H stating this - but JT claims it is true. I always felt the investigation of the night clerk at the Red Lion in Portland was telling the truth, but the FBI claimed they had no paper work on it. WE do know for a fact the motels and hotel in Portland were questioned very quickly - The night clerk said they were FBI, but I was told by Mr. H that they utilized assistance from other branches to conduct some of the initial interviews. The night clerk swears it was the FBI who interviewed him the next day at work. He was the one on duty the night before the crime...his wife of the day backs up his story even though they have been divorced for yrs and he has remarried and lives in China with his new wife and new baby! You GUYS will note I am NOT sticking with the trend of the thread. I am on COUNT DOWN and I feel I have to share the things I know - now, because who knows - we have NO tomorrows promised to us! In MARCH of 1997 - 2 yrs after Duane died I recieved a wonderful letter from John's wife. They were aware of what I had discovered in May of 1996. She mentions all the hard work I had put into tracing down Duane's past...and THANKED ME for asking the FBI NOT to bother John & Gwen due to their health. She said she would leave it to JOHN to speak for himself! She mentioned how upsetting it would be to have "people from the Enquire and similar magazies swarming around to focus on miniutiae and twist half facts into anything sensational their writers can dream up". You see I did take the family into consideration as I also did for myself. I did go public in 2000 - because the FBI was doing ZERO! She felt going public would damage Duane's sisters fragil health. I kept my promise until 2000 and what the FBI agent said over the phone just flew in the face of justice and the FBI having investigated Duane's back ground. It was that phone call in 2000 that I realized I actually had more on Duane's background than the FBI did. Remember the agent told me Duane was never in the Army nor in McNeil and I was holding actually documentation of BOTH! She was a wonderful person and I wish the maker had allowed John and I to have had our private conversation in 2004. She was going to entertain my current husband in the living room so John and I could talk in the OFFICE. I actually told my current husband little about what I was doing every night on the computer. I later learned he had been here on DZ reading the things I posted when I was not home! I would not know this until I cleaned out his computer in 2007 before giving it to his girls. Life is full of SECRETS and I will have NO MORE secrets if I can manage to get it all done before it is time to leave this body I now posssess. I am very tired - but, NOW you have to know the things I have NOT told. Things that mean NOTHING to a bunch of computer jerks who only have one agenda - but there are some of you out there genuinely interested in this battle I have fought for 18 yrs. RECAP of John Weber's letter to me trying to fill in Duane's past for me and others. John had Duane being born 1925, but the records show 1924 and the date Duane used. Duane was born around the time of the Lorian Tornado in Lorain, Ohio. John was 14 or 13 and living with his Grandaparents in Hudson, Ohio when Duane was born. Father - Claudian J. Weber Mother - Lorraine B. Weber Lived in Mentor, Ohio Claude lost his job with Polson Rubber Co in Willouby, Ohio - resulting in the loss of the Mentor property. Grandmother Weber offered them the Stow Road House. Duane supposedly started school in Mentor, Ohio. Voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 16. The Family consisted of Claude, Gwendolyn and Duane during those yrs. John was living with his grandparents. John (Duane's brother) moved to Cleveland and worked at Templin Bradley Co. and in the summers worked at the propagating farms of Templin Bradley at Medina, OH. John (Duane's brother moved to NY and later to CA). John was a consultant for Boeing when in CA and then in WA. December of 1942 - Duane is supposedly with his parents in Ohio. April of 1943 - John the brother was stationed at Nashville Army Air Base in Nashville, Tn. A friend of John's reported that Duane was in the Army and took the Commanding general's car for a Sat night on the town. The friends name was Frank A. McArthur. In 1943 Duane was claiming to be 21 but was barely 18. Duane was known to be in CA in late 1943. John's wife 1st wife at that time was named Margaret. She often picked him up at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. In 1943 Duane was arrested for stealing a federal check in a bar when the lady went to the restroom. His father recorded in their family log an Address for a Mrs. Duane Weber at 1500 East 61st, chicago. John thinks this was Edna...but, no one knows. The records someone else found gave another name...but will give that as the information came to me. But then John backs up and states that in 1946 a phone call was received from a woman by the name of Edna (the call came from Mesa, AZ) who claimed dire circumstances - and money to cover the birth of a child whe claimed was fathered by Duane. Given name believed to be Zona Anne. I tried to find her in 1997 will no results. I would later find such a name but the person had deceased. 377 helped some with this. Claude Weber (Duane's father) passed away april 9 1956 in Arcadia, CA. Duane asked at that time for Edna to be contacted to represent him at his father's funeral - Duane was in prison. Duane was residing with his mother in 1957 on Vaquero Rd. in Arcadia CA. Certain Gold coins came up missing as Duane intertained ladies of the night there. He was using his mother late model DeSota for his nightly episodes at a local bar called "The Trails". It was around this time that John Confronted Duane with a BASEBALL BAT advising him he should leave Mother Weber's home. This was the last time John ever saw Duane Weber. His mother passed away may 9 1958. Next known siting of Duane was reported to John by a friend of the FAMILY. Thomas J. Roach, U.S. Army and nephew of Duane. This siting was at the Fountainbleu in Miami on OCTOBER 22, 1962 the DATE President Kennedy warned the Soviet Union to discontinue the installation of Soviet missiles in Cuba. Roach had a conversation with Weber on that night at the bar. He included pictures found in his sister files - the photo was dated May 12, 1969 and was photo of the woman and her children I spoke to many time after Duane died and in my investigation. Duane had contacted his sister by phone over the yrs but never provide an address - not until 1987 (approx) and this is when Duane had been told the disease was moving forward and to prepare for the machine. The sister sent him pictures of the family. The last paragraph I added and I only put the important STUFF in this and not every word that John wrote to me. I got to meet John in 2004, but not for long - he and I never got to have our private conversation because his sister had a heart attack that night. I will always believe she feared what he was going to tell me and she had shared some of her secrets with him. After she recovered she sent me a letter asking me to PLEASE leave the PAST in the PAST. Her explanation to me over the phone was that she DID not want to be remembered as the sister of D.B.Cooper and since she was recouperating I definitely was not going to be unkind and cause her more stress. She again begs me in a letter to leave the past in the past and in a phone call - concernes about what her friends think would think. I certainly was NOT going to be unkind. I always feared the stress of this did shorten her life. I told her I would back down - which I did until I was notified she had passed away. I knew I was letting go of something important. Remember her relief in 2004 when she realized I was NOT the woman with Duane in 1971! I will NEVER forget the look on her face in 2004 at the hospital when she realized I WAS NOT THAT WOMAN! The woman Duane took to her home in 1971 after the skyjacking. His lady of the day was a stark contrast to me - I will assure you of that! I NEVER forgot the RELIEF in her eyes when she said "You aren't Jo" Perhaps she had forgotten the name of the woman with Duane and Duane I think had led her to believe that I was the same woman with him in 1971. John Claudian Weber and Stanley Gilliam both worked for Boeing in WA state. I believe it was either Barth or Gilliam that Duane's brother John purchased an investiment in the the Tacoma area. As Duane said it was not the right time, but according to the grand daughter her father bought a furniture store and it burned down. I have repeatedly asked the FBI to tell me what John Claudian Weber purchased with another person in the Tacoma area. It was a co-worker with Boeing. I do not know the time frame of the purchase was - nor to I know the time frames in which the Brother lived in WA. The pictures on the wall of their foyer showed a friend and the only reason I took notice was the unusual tie the man had one and I had only seen one other tie like that... A man in Atlanta whose father worked for Boeing and he was wearing his dad's tie. I even accused 377 of having posted a picture of a man with that tie, but I never found it. I had heard the story before she ever wrote it. It was my understanding that he did contact the FBI. But, all we have is a Grand-daughter who claims to have taped his confession and she is a writer. Problem was this - I had heard the story before it ever appeared on a computer! I have not been able to get the story of how Gilliam met his wife whose occupation was the same as the woman Duane told me about. I have told this for yrs and you can go back to my early descriptions of our trip to WA and you will note that Duane as he passed a building in Vancouver pointed it out and told me it used to be the telephone company and he knew a woman who used to work there. Gilliam's wife worked at the Telephone Co. Gilliams wife came from the same part of CA Duane's family resided in. Her maiden name was Barth and I had been looking for a Barth for yrs. as the name of the family Duane's parents knew from the war had moved to CA. In 1943 the Webers made the move to CA as there was NO work in Ohio. Duane's brother and sister had told me Ma Weber had crawled under the bed when the great storm Loraine came thu and causes so much destruction. Mrs Weber gave birth to a son and her friend had a daughter in 1924. Could be a complete set of co-incidences, but I do not think so. Someone had sent me some research papers on the Weber family - the story I was told was that Pa Weber (Duane's father) had 2 friends he enlisted with and they went to CA and he moved his family to CA in 1943. There were NO jobs in Ohio. I need to know where the Barths lived prior to living in CA and when the man who was Duane's father age enlisted...and when Duane's father enlisted. Or in what branch Mr. Barth served and in what branch Mr. Weber served - I only know that the 3 guys enlisted at the same time. The missing pieces of the story fell together when I learned where the Barths lived and that Gilliams wife had worked at Ma Bell. I had heard a similar story ...from Duane, his sister and his brother. I had tried to find things on a Gilliam before because of something Duane's brother had told me and this could be part of what John wanted to talk to me privately about in 2004. We all know that Duane's sister suffered a hearth attack before John and I could talk and all I do know is that a note was found among his things that said "Duane had paracute training". Geeze! what a stretch! Comparing unproval to unproval! I am still working on the Gilliam/Puyallup. Remember that Blevins said it was a good size town. Well according to the size he stated for the 70's - what was it in 1940's! Back to the Gilliam connections. Barth was the maiden name of Gilliam's wife. She haled from CA in the very same place Duane's parents lived and she was born in the same yr as Duane. Duane and his family told me about the Barths - but I had never connected it to Gilliam..... "Friends of the FAMILY" made arrangements for Duane when he was sent to McNeil. Now I know what the arrangements were and who made the arrangements. Ed Horan (Hurand) was one of the men who also worked with Gilliam. / or Barth. Ed was a helicopter and airplane mechanic. Barth used these young men as part of the"team". I do not know if Barth was the older man from Ca or his son or if he had a son. May even be the wrong Barth. I The young men who participated in these camps were selected because they had NOT committed violent crimes and this was their actual first offense and being sent to a Federal prison. McNeil was over crowded and the older criminals had been known to commit unthinkable crimes against the younger inmates. Remember this picture? Puyallup in 1971? What are the connections to Weber. Stanley Gilliam lived in PUYALLUP and Duane had connections to his wife's family. The connections originated in CA. Gilliam is a man who received a phone call prior to the skyjacking & Gilliam felt he had inadvertently provide Cooper with information needed to make a sucessful jump from the 727! Stanley Gilliam contacted the FBI and I believe the FBI ended up investigating him! A man comes forward with information and then he becomes suspect! No wonder witness didn't come forward! Any one of you who have connections to Puyallup? Blevins maintained the town was a large size in 1971. Hell it wasn't any larger than my home town in 1971 and that was small. I am still curious if the Bonney Lake property ever had any connections to Gilliam or Barth in any way what so ever - Want to go back to the 40's. . Gilliam and another man by the name of BARTH (out of CA) worked with Wayward young men - programs that spawned out of CA and the out of McNeil. The Programs were instituted because of the over population of the prison in the mid 40's. They formed several camps and more than was originally believed. Their work with young men in the 40's is a known fact - so why did the FBI not consider that Cooper was one of those young men. I do NOT believe Barth or Gilliam had any knowledge of this caper or who did it. Perhaps Cooper was bitter & trying to prove something in 1971 or desperate. Maybe these guys gave up on him and this was his way of getting back. I do NOT know what the motive was - but, I will assure you that Weber had FOND memories of the area and a man I believe to be Gilliam. Someone took the knowledge they had of the area and actually pulled this damn thing off. Cooper was NOT a current LOCAL in 1971 - as that makes NO sense what so ever. Why did Cooper choose WA - that is because he had a personal connection to the area and if he was going to die doing the BIG ONE it was going to be in WA. Some where there is a grave that Duane showed me. We did NOT go close but he pointed in that direction and said he used to know someone that was buried there. For some reason the cemetary is blocked out of my memory. Perhaps because he didn't actually take me to the cemetary - he simply mentioned if from another area. For some reason I cannot take my mind back to that point. The place my mind went to I went to see in 2010, but it was pouring rain and the graves looked so very old. The few I did see were old graves. Was never sure if I found the right grave yard. The parts about Paradise in my story I found in OLD records I had. Duane had mentioned going up the Interstate about THE BOYS used to camp there & there used to be a way to get there from under the highway to the power lines and pipe lines. I do not know if there is still a stream or covert under the highway in that area. Jerry Thomas kept claiming the above area is were Duane made his comment about Cooper. IT WAS NOT! T The stream were Duane made his comment about Cooper was in The LaCames area and NOTHING I could ever do - would prove other wise to JT. When I was talking to him in 1997 to 2000 - I kept trying to tell him about Lake LaCames - but I thought it was a river. OUR communication was very disoriented. JT even claimed I was on the OR side and that Duane and I crossed at Portland and that is NOT true! For some reason JT wanted to discredit me and to make sure NO one ever heard my story about the Washougal and Lake LaCames - he never dreamt that I would be able to go out there and retrace the trip in 2010. 14 yrs later! His central EGO was not going to let anyone, but him find Cooper! Also note the only map I had seen was the little map in Max's book and then whatever was in Mr. H's book. I had another map of 1/2 of the USA. When I did obtain better maps - no thanks to JT, I then tried to explain were Duane had taken me - but JT kept BASHING ME and calling me a liar and fantasy story teller just like he did in this thread in 2006 when he found me here. From 2001 to 2006 I had washed him out of my hair! IF I HAD BEEN ABLE TO GO OUT TO WA AT THAT TIME AND HAVE RENTED A CAR TO RETRACE OUR TRIP - THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER YRS AND YRS AGO. All it takes to solve this case is documentation the FBI nor anyone else can cover up! [;)Prove Duane was connected to Barth and to Gilliam and this case is over. Put Duane at one of the camps they used! I believe this is also how Duane knew Ed Horan - Ed was an airplane mechanic!. WA is the area Duane knew Ed from! Gilliam flew all kinds of planes - find out if Ed ever worked on them. Locate pictures made from that time of Gilliam and his wife - and you will put Duane in WA. Making a fool out of myself one more time, BUT at this STAGE, I have ZERO to loose! The world thinks JO is crazy, delusional and off her rocker. Jo knows it is the stress of the situation and having to fight the endstage of her life at this time. Did God or the Devil put me with Duane? I have NOTHING to loose - the system so far has won & has used up my life. I chose to do this and to fight this battle till the end against a secretive government and their tactics. If the government did NOT have a hand in this - they had knowledge of the individual or individuals involved - or the FBI needs to re-evaluate the capablilities of their agents. The Cooper Case is a fiasco or it is a cover-up. The FBI needs to owe up to the fact they made mistakes and continued to make the same mistakes for 42 yrs.
