Well Georger I did not make one word of that up. If you go back to the 45 and read things on Doc site, you will know. Everything Duane told me about Doc was true. ''Was true" the history fit and even went to N.Y.. You doubt anything anyone tells your but the truth. When Doc was on tV Duane whatched him and I heard the story more than once. The detail were more to the point in WA. He would go. Doc played at the Trails in CA and Duane was there. Often the let a wannbe get up and sing. Dreaming or falsifying I am not doing. Duane was a great singer and he did know Doc. This was VERIFIED by Duane's sister! Even when he was young the family went to see a family there. Duane was a powerful and good singer. The night we got married in Co. he had made arangement with the band as he knew a couple of them for him to sing a song. Duane excused himself from the table and then they made an announcement and Duane was on stage . It was the first time I had ever heard him sing. He was singing "You'll never Know" He walked down the stage while sing and took my hand and pulled me up on the stage and ended up on bended knee to finish the song. The audience wanted MORE, but he told them another time - this was his wedding night. Georger - why do such trivial incidents boughter you? I have not lied about any of that. Duane was gifted with a voice that was meant to sing. There was always the audience wanting MORE! All thru our marriage he took the stage to sing in many of the places if the genre was right for him. He WOWED the women and I was glad he could sing, because I cannot carry a tune. I was proud of his abliity. VERY trivial for you to knock the one thing he did excell with. He was remembered in the Dollar courner by the women there. One of them became a friend and is still a frined today - He was as good as Ingel Burt and a hell of better than Sinatra. His showman ship was evident. He also help set up the sound systems...so he said. You are picking on the wrong person with this. Duane was with them when they did the appearance in The Dalles in 1940's and he was wearing his navy uniform - but he was AWOL. Duane also played the trumpet. In 1982 he went to see on of the oldest Trumpet players in N.Orleans. He left a package for him. Of course he didn't let me go in because they knew him as Johnie Collins. SUBJECT - MAX GUNTHER. BY JO - the only PERSON here to ever have ACTUALLY communicated with MAX and on a very personal basis: Whew! you guys have been VERY busy this evening. I have not read all of the postings but if any one knows anything about Cooper - they know I was in communications with Max and we had many phone calls and exchange several letters - ALL of which I still have. I have a copy of Max's book I do NOT let out of my sight. Before our last phone conversation Max asked me to have markers and note pads available. AS 99.99 % OF YOU are aware that only 5% of Max's book is based on those 6 phone calls with Clara. Evidently none of the so caller researchers have ever read Max's book. It was the book I was reading the night I called the FBI. Later Max and I got intouch with each other and we had MANY long conversations and exchanged several letters. Max had 6 phone calls with Clara and she is the one who called him. She evidently was drinking and like another person who was contacting me she called up in the wee hours. Max listened to a recording I had of some one I had been speaking with - and he was VERY quiet after I played it over the phone. He asked me for her address and told me he was sure Clara and the woman contacting me were one and the same. Because I was a stickler for promises and confidentiality - I could NOT give him the address. He was going to CA to supposedly discuss a book of his someone wanted to make into a movie. Max was NOT bolsterous - they wanted to make a movie out of another book he had written, Max was sweet, kinky and modest but kinky "as if I need any more money". Well, when Max made his trip to CA - he called me and told me that we would be having a discussion at my disgression and I was to have pens, marker and notepads. He wanted me to know it would be our last contact. I now know he had found out he was very sick. I get goose bumps when I talk about Max - don't even ask WHY! I did as he said and called him and told him when I would be available. We both had glass of wine in our hands and he went thru the entire book with me - telling me almost page by page what was fiction and what was things actually said by Clara. The back ground for Clara's beau was completely made up. I will not let that marked copy out of my site but anyone who is able to obtain a copy and reads it...can contact me and I will walk them thru the book page by page. In fact if one goes back into this thread I did some of the more important points at one time. I cannot and will not attempt to do so on the computer again...as it hurts to read a book and go back to the screen and the time involved. I will discuss the book PAGE by PAGE with you on the phone. I will also share some of Max's letters, but NOT the quirky flirtations. Max dearly miss his beloved wife and they had a VERY quirky life and they never had children. I do know that when Max's time came he had a smile on his face because he knew she was waiting for him. Hell, I got tears in my eyes right now just talking about Max. There were so many posts above I didn't read them all. I could not figure out who needed to find a copy of Max's book and WHY they needed it. Some of Max's letter were hand written to me. Sluggo saw them but I did NOT allow him to read them as some of it was personal. I think Sluggo was relatively surprised that I had actually been talking to Max. I can take you completely thru the book and tell you the only things that Max actually took from his conversations with Clara. By the way after Max came back from CA was when we ended the long relationship. Evidently he found Clara! Max and I are the only individuals who knew certain things - Clara did NOT help Cooper but she aided him after the fact. Clara did NOT live in WA. Max made that up. Yea, there was a cabin but there was NO one in that cabin...but Max thought it made a good story. Shall we go further? - well, ONLY on a phone and a secure line that is not being recorded. Actually prefer to do this one PERSON to PERSON. IF it was that crazy guy who makes no sense at all who wanted to discuss MAX - NO DEAL at all! He is creepy! THere is ABSOLUTELY nothing in Max's book to indicate KC. And when Max and I were talking KC had never been heard of. Had it NOT have been for my conversations with MAX - I probably would never have kept on keeping on. On our last phone call Max had to be certain I had it all correct - THIS was very important to him. Strangely some of the financial woes of the woman I was talking to seem to ease up. She explain that away - but deep down I figured Max may have helped her out. She would end up in a nursing home. She had certain expression she used and I wrote them down and he heard her voice on the one recording I had - I tried to get her to say that little express she stated "We all have a little larceny in our hearts". She wrote this to MAX - it was typed. She wrote that in a letter to me also. She claimed she had never read his book and no knowledge of it. Another expression was "You little shit." At that time she had not read the book and the expression Max put in his book was stated before the BOOK was written. She admitted to me that she spoke with Duane 5 yrs before he died...I already knew this, but when he contacted her - she thought he had already died. Remember she approached Max in the 80's...and she waited until she thought Cooper had died. The last time she saw Duane was in 1976 as I personally put him on the plane to CALIFORNIA. Two brothers in the DALLES were adamant that Duane was the dishwasher at The Tavern....again 2 guys I personally interviewed in 2010 at a senior center. THEY had NO idea I was looking for Cooper. THE album I had was pictures of Duane during that time - that I was trying to retract the past of Duane who may have been using another name. THe one brother called the other brother over to the table and asked him for where he remember this young man. His response was the same a his brothers...yet neither knew I was on a Cooper mission. Without their having any knowledge my name was Jo Weber or what my mission was they told me their story and about a woman he was with - She was not deceased, but I only knew she lived in Hood. They did make some unfavorable remarks in regard to the woman. My time was limited and I felt I had verified Duane was in THE DALLES at the time of the broadcast. He had NOT lied about that. THe museum was closed because of the elections - so I never got to see the pictures. Now I find another man DUANE mentioned had relatives and did live in Pomeroy....that is a plus. I had NO idea the other man - whose history I had been chasing was also a resident of Pomeroy but do not know the time frame. Arlington, Pomeroy and The Dalles. What was the chance of that being a coincidence. Duane had mentioned BOTH Severinsen and the other man. With the other man he had told me things that also connect with Duane. The other man was several yrs older than Duane or Severinsen. He was closer to the age of Duane's brother, but not as old as John C. Weber....that was Duane's brother. John and the other man both worked for Boeing. Then I tracked the other man and due to the information I found he was also connected to an Area near Tacoma and may have been the man John had bought a business venture with. The wife of the other man had a link to a member of Duane's family and I don't mean Duane's brother. He was married to a woman who bore the same name and had the same background as a woman I was told about thru Duane and his sister and his brother. THe sheriff was related to the other man. THis sheriff helped to form a group connected to the CCC's in 1945. This other man is in no way connected to the skyjacking, but he probably met Duane as a young man while Duane and other were in WA in the late 40's. Duane had mentioned the flight along the coast line and into Alaska and one time while we were viewing a documentary on TV. Duane told me a story. This regarded some experiement with the tether - regarding a Hook. Before I had this information in my head but, I have lost a lot over the yrs. I even mentioned this in the thread - but was dissed. Duane told me he was the young man who made the mistake and that it almost cost him his life. Something about a knot he didn't do right. He had never been so cold in all of his life. Well, this man did conduct this experiment and I only recently found out this experiment connected to the very man - who was connected indirectely to the family of Duane Weber and Duane was in WA at that time. The man would not have recognized Duane's voice many yrs later on a phone and/or connected him to the skyjacking. The man's wife would be the media thur which Duane would have met her husband or thru the Sheriff. Perhaps I have connected dots that do not connect, but I know the connection is within what I have vaguely mentioned above but without the details I do know from the Brother and the Sister and things Duane mentioned. Neither John nor the other man or his wife would have known that a young man they had personal contact with was Cooper. Not sure of what I found but sent it off to the FBI. IT is something that has bugged me for several yrs. Friends of the family, Puyallup, Stucco, Pomerory. Duane's mother had a friend who had a baby within a month of when she had Duane. The picture of Duane at about 10 yrs of age was made in CA and they were there for an airshow. The mother is standing behind her 16 yr old daugter, but the woman they went to see or met them there is sitting down and behind the unbrella pole - This picture was made in 1934. Because of something Duane said I have always believe this 1934 trip was some kind of airshow. I know that Duane's family moved to CA when he was in the NAVY and they moved there because to of the guys Duane's father served with had gone to CA and were doing well. In 1943 they help the Weber to go to Arcadia. Duane was 19 and his brother was 19 and his brother age 27 was in the army serving as a Consultant for Boeing. I wish I knew the history better, but I did not get those records, just what the sister and brother shared with me. When Duane was sent to WA - family friends intervened and Duane was NOT put in the population of McNeil. Friends of Loraine Beechler Weber and her mothers maiden name was Wenz. I do not know where her mother was born intervened and Duane was NOT places in the McNeil population. These are names listed the few records I found on the Weber family - Lillian Butzin, Dan Ward, Joseph Hebbert and Frank Beckwith. On the 1979 trip - Duane talked about a sheriff and an airstrip. Evidently this man was a friend of the family. Where is Thun Field? Note that Ed Horan who told me he knew Duane from Wa worked on planes and helicopters. Duane mentioned knowing a woman who used to work for Ma Bell and I think that was in Vancouver. He didn't know if she still worked there. Duane knew Doc Severinson and even though Doc was born in Arlington, OR they live in Pomeroy at one time (have to pull on my memory - too much pain to wade thru the files). Well, this friend of the family also lived in Pomeroy. Too much co-incidence and this is getting to me! Now I know what I need a big old file cabinet and I wouldn't have to dig thru boxes - sorry just thinking out loud. Point is that I am getting ready to put all of this shit down - I have TOO, I just can't do it any more and I am tired...I haven't had a life in a long time now - Cooper consumed it. Hopefully I have provided enough information if anyone is truely interested in solving this case they will do a little researching. NO way Duane Weber just passed through WA. If anyone wants to help me with this - we can do it thru private email. Need more research than what I can do sitting behind a computer with dial-up. The smarty pants who says I can go to the library - needs to see our little library...and the line they have to use the computers! Plus all you get is one hour. All I did was go back to the BASICS what I knew about Weber and the things he said and then what I have learned. What I told the FBI and the other parties I contacted last night will support the case of Cooper acting alone or with ONE other person. Yes, there was some aid after the crime - but those individuals were NOT active participants, but stayed quiet fearing implications. Do I know for sure he didn't have help? NO! It is reasonable he may have had help, but I did not make that part of what I shared. That will be for others to draw their own conclusion and not something disclosed by Cooper. I have given the FBI 17 yrs and NOW I will tell what I know. None of what I stated in that long email last night is any part of a conspiracy theory because - it goes back to the very basics of what Duane told me and what I learned. Because of Duane's past associations - if the FBI had any clue who Cooper was - they ignored it because it meant exposure of things the FBI nor the federal government wanted to be made public. I do NOT think the FBI and others figured it out until I came forward with Weber in 1996. They have known because of Weber's past there could be implications that might affect the out come and chose to pass him on by! I had a spurt of energy and used it the best I could. I unloaded things I have NOT talked about in this thread. Things that can be verified & this went to the FBI, and true investigators including the FBI regarding thing I have sat on with the case. NOT to anyone who is in this thread. Shutter was mention and he is the only one on the thread mentioned by name. IF the FBI misses this ONE then perhaps they need to rethink their procedure in the case. What I wrote about can be proved. I wish I could have included 377 in this information but it is my feeling he is already aware of what I have been doing. Georger may, but he probably dismissed it and did NOT know I had dug that deep. It won't put Weber on that plane, but it is the best I have. I have held onto this for some time now, but decided it was best to get it out there... No angle or guessing on my part - it is a fact that exsists that has been ignored even though I contacted the FBI about it 3 yrs ago. Really have to get some sleep. LOTS of problems going on here. My weight is down considerably - bones sticking out I have never seen before. I did what I had to do tonigh and did NOT take a pain pill - because I did NOT want my mind to be dull. THAT is a fact that is documented by others and I mean professionals. In 2001 - that JEFFERSON file was NOT available to me or to a private eye or to one to the top researchers of government files. ONE individual with the proper papers and material - made a special trip to Jefferson after an employee told us what was needed to pick up a copy of the file. He was turned away...saying they didn't have it, yet the employee's whose email address and email copies exchange at the prison and before it was closed - said they had the file...and it would be available. The employee also verified another individual as a resident connected to Duane - was also incarcerated. NOW - DOES that sound NORMAL. Yes, I think the authorities are dropping the ball on Cossey. Random crime - they need to look deeper! I also have the emails that prove Galen is a sneaky snake in the grass...I have a book 4 inches thick to prove it. YOU shoud know by reading the things Bruce twists around & how he treated Tina & others that I speak the truth about him. YOU will learn the HARD WAY. Duane had 2 specific personalities and I have seen both sides.....but, much of that need not be aired. When I am critical of others such as Bruce and Galen and the FBI - bear in mind - I have documentation. Bruce is rude and crude and sneaky and pushy in a way that is NOT acceptable to me. Yes, as weird as it seems - I loved him, because he was funny, able to always work things out when dealing with business and friends & situations. I knew of NO ONE who thought he was disgusting or dispicalbe person - other than ONE exwife. I am sure there have been others over the yrs. Duane was a problem child and as an adult - it took him a long time to grow up. Something happened in his life that altered his thinking and his reactions to situation and ALL for the better. I know only one person who did not like him - infact - people loved him. He would give you the shirt off his back and he gave when he was doing without himself. This is the man I knew! I also saw another side of Weber that was confusing to me during those last 5 yrs - but that was brought about by the kidney functions - or so I thought. He could and would and did take a stand to defend others. If he thought someone was in trouble he was there. If he thought someone was being mistreated or doing wrong - he had a way of handling it and working it out. He had a way of hiding himself and changing the course in an acceptable direction for everyone and with humor. NO one who knew DUANE even imagined he had ever been in prison, much less several. The individuals who I did meet from his past - such as the one who threatened me - seemed to admire and have nothing, but good things to say about him. The people from his past showed him admiration & respect and now I know many of those knew of his past and where part of his past. When you figure this man out LET me know! The hostility presented by you was uncalled for...so if you have read this entire post - remember you created it. By the way - I am a divorcee and I have been widowed twice. Duane was NO angel, but my last husband was! I miss them both. The first husband was the dirty rotten scoundrel who swindled his friends and family. He never remarried! Well, Georger your post does not deserve an answer. You do NOT think in REAL LIFE terms. Duane confessed to a crime. I did the right thing and contacted the FBI...but in less than 2 yrs. they sent a letter dismissing him based ONLY on prints. I was threaten NOT once, but TWICE on the phone - from individuals who Duane had associations with! The more I learned about the crime, the more - I realized I already had knowledge of a great deal of it. Duane had told me about his life in 3rd person...but at that time I had no confirmation until about 3 yrs ago when the Treasure Island Arrest was made available to me in this thread. Well lots of OTHER things started to FALL into place. You have NO idea how many contacts I have had with STRANGE individuals from the past of Weber. I could have ended up fish bait off the East Coast. I was naive - had NO idea his old friends might have just been trying to find out HOW Much I knew. I had been dealing with the inept FBI for over 9 yrs before I contacted TINA. I had NO place else to turn. I felt she spent the most time with him and if anyone could ID Cooper it would be Tina. You do NOTE even after I was provided a contact I did NOT pounce on it like "others" have done. I didn't know how to approach her - it was difficult for me and it was difficult for her - I knew she had with drawn from society as I did myself after the FBI dissed me & did NOT even HEAR one word I had told them. Evidently Tina felt I was also a victim as she had been. I didn't run out my door when I realized who DAN COOPER - was - I picked up the phone and called the FBI and accepted the things they told me for almost 5 yrs..but, too much was coming up the FBI ignored. If I had learned What I did before DUANE DIED - I would have turned him in on his deathbed. I have been as much a victim as Tina - The knowledge that I was married to a man who had done this - was tearing me apart. I went thru all of the normal processes - of doubt and fear (you know I was threaten more than ONE time)! I have a feeling you perhaps do NOT believe this. I survived an auto crash - and considering the circumstance at that time - I was scared. Other things happened I do NOT talk about...causing me to with withdraw - such as the FBI agent who I had a contract with on a house I had listed - suddenly DID NOT WANT me TO GET ANY COMMISSION. I did NOT go right out and barge in on or swamp Tina - I considered what she had been thru. Why when I did contact her - it was a NICE letter written with as few words as possible - I sent NO pictures. I had her phone number and yet I wrote to her! SHE did NOT have to respond~ right? I also could have gone to OR when I was out West in 2010. She was able to sense suffering - because she has suffered. I have always been grateful for that phone call. The most important thing she said was "He was a very SAD man". Then when I tell the thread this - CARR puts it into the FBI SITE. NOW that pissed me! If you want to come down on someone for being rude or circumventing a witness - look no further than an FBI agent by the name of CARR. HELL that damn agent had NO idea if I was lieing or not! Yet, they PUT it into their Web site! Since I had that one contact with her - there was NO reason for anyone to try prevent me from contacting her. Galen Cook and Bruce SMITH went way too far and they did NOT even say "I'm Sorry". I have never spoke to Florence and I have spoke to the co-pilot as many others have done. There are those who come to this thread and who had absolutely nothing to do with a subject or witness - other than to have ENQUIRER mentality. I know what Galen did, but have you ever seen me write about it. Why don't you ask Galen what HE DID - not what BRUCE did! The other contacts was to leave a message from the co-pilot and to warn her about Bruce and what he was doing. If I had repeated unwanted contact - that would have been one thing. DO NOT CRITICIZE me for looking for answers...in the only way I could. THIS WAS PERSONAL & I was not a reporter or a writer. THE FBI had not done it! THEY took one stupid pic - which is the only pic they EVER USED of WEBER and one that was warped and looked nothing like Weber. P.S. THE witness were NEVER shown the Jefferson composite! Just ONE stupid photo the brother had scanned - that is ALL they were shown...and I understand that is all they are using at the museum. A photo that looks nothing like the Weber I knew or how he looked in 1971. I have not been rude nor have I been intrusive - I have 2 daughters of my own...and I asked myself over and over and over - iF Tina had been my daughter and was on that plane how would I feel. I had every reason to show up on her door with picture albums - but I didn't. THE FBI did not adequately handle the investigation of Weber. One 2 paragraph letter in 1998 and then the AGENT LIED to me on the phone in MARCH of 2000. GIMME a break. They were NOT going to investigate - so I had to do it. I still waited 4 plus yrs before contacting Tina in late 2004 by letter. SHE WAS not obligated to contact me. I also included a donation for whatever charity she chose - She could have called me collect but she didn't. SO MR GEORGER - I was NOT invasive. You are a VERY poor judge of character. At that time I did not discuss the picture of the little girl - but wish I had done so. IT would have been one less thing I would have had to dealt with. I could have stuck a copy in the an envelope and sent it to her - and a copy of the book - but, I didn't! How many people would have or did stopped where I did. She had my phone number and she knew she could call collect - I left it up to her! NOW if you knew a big ole BEAR was hungry and roaming for a morsel - would you not have called out a warning. Well, I did when I found out what the BEAR was up to and whose door he was going to knock on - he had already knocked on Tina's...but, I had no knowledge of that until after the fact. Remember this - the man in MOBIL was a VERY DANGEROUS man! Yet, I staged an incident in his area on my way home from Lousiana after visiting a friend there. He was nice, but warned me a second time NOT to dig into Duane's past. The first threat was NOT that nice. His words "If you want to be around to play with your grandkid". So what the HELL was Duane involved with? Ever think I already know the answers. YOU know I do and if you haven't figured that out yet - you aren't very bright! You are fishing right now! Georger - remember that the site I was posting on was individuals who had their own agenda. I did call TINA in 2004 and she did return my call. She told me she had not done that before, but made an exception for me. I wrote her a letter and do not remember if it was before or after the phone call. I sent NO pictures at that time....supposedly in the last 3 months some one tried to show her some pictures - but, I do not know if she viewed them or if the person ever approached her. That post was dated 4 yrs later in 2008. My health started to decline in 2007...but, I had had the problem for a few yrs - horrid rashes and flushes...the diagnosis was in 2007. Since then I have aged and still have those symptoms, but now due to age and the medications I took - and still take along with many others - is not very good. Remember I have had 3 surgeries since then. My health in 2007 was somewhat of an issue, but Tina was NOT responsible for my physical decline. My emotional status would have been better if she and I could talked face to face and could have shown the pics I have accumulated over the yrs. Emotional strain causes lot of problems. I have never understood how Tina was even able to move on with her life after what Cooper put her and the others thru...not to mention being thrust into the media. I kept my promise to her and I truely hope she knows that. In the last yr I let myself intrude in a very indirect way, but never knew the outcome of that connection. The only calls after the 1st one were to warn her about Bruce and to deliver a message from the Co-pilot. ALL because I felt I let her down when Bruce and Galen did their dirty thing. I only SPOKE to her ONE time and that when she called me back on that FIRST contact -2004 or early 2005. The brief conversation I had with Tina in 2004 or perhaps 2005 was our only conversation. Tina had NOTHING to do with my health, but resolution might have meant my life could have been more normal. I would not have used up the last 10 yrs chasing the truth. It was MY choice and I do regret that I did NOT get a chance to enjoy the golden yrs. Frankly I do NOT know how the crew has lived with their lives being so public. I had a choice - they didn't have that choice! Just because I chose of fight for justice and the truth to be known doesn't mean they needed to sacrifice their lives and to be thrust into the media everytime someone had a Cooper suspect or want to write a book. Tried - had very little sleep last night! Have been dealing with the house and the continued decline of my health. My bones hurt and there is NOT much about me that doesn't hurt. I can handle the pain, just the limitations and if I take the pain medication - my thought processes are not good. I MAKE a choice everyday to continue this battle and it get more and more difficult each and every day. There are days I only get out of bed because I know I have to keep moving, but the energy level is devastating to me.... All together the package is HELL to live. I spoke with Tina in 2004. Sometimes it pays to play DUMB and I did a lot of that to obtain information. Therefore any posting I did regarding Tina were to protect and NOT to harm. I NEVER gave TINA's number to any one - NOT EVER in all of these yrs! Do any of you really think I would have given the enemy Tina's number? Of course NOT - even Galen could NOT extract that. He had to work with information I did give him. I told him to find out where Tina got her divorce and that would take him thru the back door. I regret even doing that - BECAUSE all of you know WHAT GALEN AND BRUCE did. It was one of those time I wish I had kept my mouth shut, but he would have found her eventually any way. I do NOT know who ROBBIECLAMPETT was but I think I know and why I called WA many yrs ago and the man never admitted to being Clampett, but he did KNOW who I was and who Duane Weber was. Just told me they were working on getting recognition for many who could never be named. Later I would recontact him only to find out he was deceased. He had died about 3 yrs after our conversation. I spoke with the man's brother and he told me that his brother would have done something like that - and they were still trying to get old files opened. This has only been happening now because of the computer world and things do not stay secret forever...not any more. Very busy right now....NOT all Cooper things but that is the main focus. Trying to get my house ready to go on the market. I will not be able to deal with this later and I need to GET our of the heat to a cooler climate. Jo, IF the ticket had anything to do with the Cooper hijacking, and you do NOT have any information that it did, then Duane wouldn't keep it for 25 years unless he was determined to get himself locked up again. Just hang on to all the incriminating evidence and maybe the cops will finally come looking for it and send you back to jail again. Robert99 ROBERT you have not read my posting in the past obviously. In 1990 Duane made a trip to a saftely deposit box - what he needed the John Collins drivers license to gain entry. He had opened the safe deposit box in 1980 when he thought he was going to get caught. He flew into Omaha - but there was a purchase in a Kansas town. I won't say which one, but the charge was on my credit card. It was an antique shop, but I later found he had connections to the owner! This trip was sandwiched in to a long wkend and I have told the story before how he arranged to be away without my knowing it. It is individuals like yourself who want to bury the truth. When he got back is when he started to slowly bring things to the house and this is the period of time he got robbed - he never told me what they took or what they were after, but it was NONE of the inventory. Duane's only expression was when he looked behind the door was they got it. Nothing else was taken. In 1979 - Duane retrieved what every he left in WA & OR and deposited it to a box in Nebraska under the name JOHN COLLINS (1980)and then he went on the run - until he was certain I had NOT added the numbers up and that the FBI's trail was COLD in 1980. Your thought processes do not conceive the simplicity with which he thought this threw. Duane knew eventually he would go on the machine and his days would be numbered. He tried to tell me were everything was and I was too DUMB and naive to even know what he was talking about. A lot of people breathed a sigh of relief! I know the ex knew he was COOPER and the step-daughter told me she knew. THE fricking FBI never went back to talk to them and let them know that the statue of limitations protected the one person who held the secrets. Don't you GET IT. He knew after he went on the machine he had a max of 5 yrs to live / knowing how the disease affected his mother - he knew whatever he had to do in the way of travel needed to be early on. You know he opened a safety deposit box right after that - that I did NOT know existed until he died. The only thing left in it was the magazine. I was not allowed to go in when they opened the box as my name was not on it. I was unaware of the box until he died. He kept trying to tell me about what was in the VAN and to be sure it was locked. Strange there was ONLY one set of keys - now I wonder who had the second set - it was not me. It has been suggested Duane did NOT tell me to protect me! Well, Duane's DNA would not be on those stamps. Maybe his companion, but then why bother - DNA did not exist at that time as a way of ID'ing a person. AS a matter of curiousity I would like to know the DNA on the envelopes, but that is all! I have enquired of the FBI the source of the DNA they supposedly have on Weber. If it was a hair I removed from a suit that had been tried on at a garage sale - I was explicite with the FBI agents that the hair was too long and too straight to be Weber's. I hope he wrote that on the container! 2 agents retrived the DNA in 2003 and I had little left of Duane's stuff that had not been cleaned . The watch and his favorite pipe - I did NOT let them have! I had remarried and what I had was in suitcase in a FL attic. I enquired of the FBI recently if they are using that hair as Duane's DNA and let them know the only reliable DNA is a pipe & a watch in my possession. The pipes I provided the FBI had been put on a garage sale and one use by a friend. I believe Duane had used that pipe, but the one I retained was his favorite and I still have it. I do NOT know the source of the rifle. I did see Duane put a long object in the trunk of the Marquis and the when we traded for station wagon - the rifle came into our home. I know who the man was and his name and he had a record for theft as long as I was tall - the deputy provided us with a copy of the rap sheet which we kept for a long time - this man was a local man and in no way connected to McCoy or anyone regarding this CRAP you rant about. The Ticket - was seen during the last 3 months of Duane's life - he did NOT burn it I assure you, but he did hide it and evidently in all the stuff I got rid of after he died. 1yr and 2months later when I found out who Dan Cooper was - it was gone...probably was hidden in the VAN with the other stuff he was so protective of. The hidden wallet found a few wks later by the purchaser - did NOT contain the ticket....but the purchaser also did NOT know the bounty was in $20 bills until this yr 2013 when I told him. The FBI conveniently forgot to mention to the buyer the money was in twenties. The ticket may not have been there - but in old books I got rid of after Duane died. I did the normal clean up and give away all widows do...I did NOT know who Dan Cooper was until May of 1996. The van had been long gone by that time. It has been too many yrs for him to ID anyone. Time has taken its toll on him, but he was VERY polite to view the new photo the thread obtain by way of MrShutter. Anyone heard from Shutter about his father? At least I did something constructive and I did NOT discuss his description so nothing to report there. I did the new one and put in some of the old ones he had already seen. He is a very nice guy and one of the individiduals I would like to meet. Wish they would just have a private meeting for those of us with suspects to sit down quietly with the individuals on the plane and the personel who worked the crime (those that are alive) - just a private party. Those who think their brother or father was Cooper with no more than 5 photos and 10 minute to tell their story Ding goes the BELL and they havd to shut up and sit down. Jo, History is facts (or so it is supposed to be). But your version of history, at least where Duane is concerned, comes from a highly imaginative place between your ears. And the differences between facts and your version(s) of history is where your problems start. Robert99 The things I have mentioned have been noted in written material and articles and on the internet. When Duane told me things - I did not run to the library and there was no computer to check them out. I was not really concerned. Then after Duane died and AFTER I realized what his confession meant - then and only then did I start to read and in 2000 when I got a computer for work - I started to read things about the things he spoke of - and sure enough there were articles indicating what he had claimed. Perhaps they were conspiracy things, but it was NOT something Weber conjured up and he had never touched a computer. This is my 3rd computer, but much of what I found - I did print. I didn't know how to keep things on a disk. I have always hesitated to mention any of this because of individual like yourself....all self righteous and our government never did anything wrong! The few things I have mentioned - someone would research and sure as hell - JO didn't make it up. Before others have questioned my word and my memory and then something would be found to validate what I had said. I do not go around conjuring these thing up! Does that make what Duane said true - NO, of course not, but what it does indicate is that Jo remembered the conversations she had with her husband on certain subjects. I was never one to believe all of the thing others talked about. As I have said I hate history and avoided it like the plague, but I then found myself having to defend myself as to my memory of the things Duane told me. You do the research yourself and you will find there was a group of guys who supposedly tried to defend and protect Kennedy. NO one listened to them - just because someone wrote about this does not make it so. A lot of things were claimed about the era of the 60's - some true and some only rumored. I found this when I was exploring Lee Harvey Oswald yrs ago - and it matched the things Duane had told me. Remember Duane also talked about Watergate - and sure as hell I had met one of the key individuals who was charged. I met him in N.Orleans as I over heard a conversation I was not expected to hear. I would later find out who this man was and the other man who I met that night....can I verify this? HELL no! But I spoke about the conversation LONG before I saw a picture of the man I met that night. His name was never stated to me, but I remembered his face and then it showed up in the new paper after he died. I always called him Cupid lips! The conversation I over heard that night was about WATERGATE. I have not the time or energy to continue to defend myself - YOU GO BACK AND READ THE THREAD AND THE THINGS I HAVE TOLD OVER THE YRS. MOST OF THEM I LET GO BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD EVER BELIEVE THEM. It is individuals like you who enter things with a closed mind and never find resolution. Every time I recall the incidents I experience with Weber and the things he spoke about they SET someone like you OFF - WHY I stay away parts of the past. FORGIVE me for remembering part of my life with Weber and the parts I found out that actually may have happened. IT is WHAT it IS! Read the books - it is all in the multiple books and article after the death of JFK not something I fabricated. Things Duane talked about. I do not know what the tickets looked like and don't care. What I stated was that the copy I had was NOT gold or mulitcolored! PERIOD. It was a carbon copy - I do not remember the color or the printed colors - I just remember what it said - that was my focus. I read the date out loud that night and said "This is an OLD ticket" and he replied "it use to mean something, but not any more". I would see the ticket one more time - in his sock & underwear drawer and then it disappeared. The statement I made that night was "Oh, you found that old ticket". Remember he must have retrived it from the box! If I stated a color or colors it would have been in my original communications with Himmelsbach. It is not a memory I have retained. Emotional stress can cause illness to become worse. I am TIRED, very TIRED! Tired of waiting for the FBI to do the right thing. Tired of waiting for someone else to make the move that must be made. JUST TIRED! VERY TIRED! There is NOT much about me that does not hurt. Too many yrs lost - but, will they be worth it - will the FBI finally do the right thing. It is all buried in the CIA files - files closed - for what reason? Files that stayed closed when the individuals whose names are within - actually requested some files to be declassified. Even with the limited declassification being done - they are NOT going to tell ALL! My biggest mistake was I trusting the government to do the right thing! There was a group in the West and Mid-west who wanted certain files made public several yrs ago...as what they did was NO big secret, but that file was buried in other files - with a 40 plus disclosure clause! The government never disclosed a group from the Kennedy era - PROTECT AND DO NO HARM! If the message had been delivered - Kennedy would NOT have been killed. A group financed by a very wealthy man infiltrated the Mafia and others and sent a messge that was never delivered. Truth or fantasy! Well, it is a story that has been around for a long long time...
