This is a part that never meant much to me - I just knew she supposedly hand something to him and he said "I don't need that ". What I know about chutes and jumping you could put in thimble. Then is was stated in one of the books that he looked at the card with the chute - (I believe Tosaw's book). I felt this was literary licensing and perhaps not something that actually happened - only TINA know the truth about this. What doe the FOIA state in regards to this? Fact - the Ticket agent was name Lynse . Fact - the Gate agent was Williams. (William's story was inflated and changed at later dates - who knows if it is a real memory - perhaps he was "delusional" also, but maybe he was simply able to remember more facts after he played the day back in his mind. I do not question his memory - whatever it was it was. Receive a nice letter today: Verification that there ARE NO records kept on smokejumper trainees between 1943 - 1945, who did not make the cuts. Most of these trainees came from Civilian Public Service Groups. My personal and verifiable addition: These Civilian Public Service Groups also offered young men probationary work ...especially with healthy donations to the churches who supported the CPS. What was inappropiate was Sluggo posting FBI business on the forum (a conversation between a private citizen and an FBI agent). I would not know what Carr said to Sluggo if Sluggo had not posted it...so please put the blame were it belongs. Regarding the packing card - I am not sure that Tina actually knew what it was and they mentioned this later. She was told to hand him a card ...her handing this to him may have been the FBI's test of Coopers skill level...and just encase he took Tina with him. They were in a quandry regarding Cooper asking for 2 backs and 2 fronts. I also heard the version that 377 posted as per Tosaw's book. Well, Mr Attorney - you nor any jury will erase what I saw and held in my hands - the ticket, the bag, the stub and the satchel. You cannot erase what he told and showed me in WA in 1979. -------------------------------------- I declined his offer because I know Sluggo - he is an honorable person and a gentleman. You are right about that one - I need someone who will work with me and not against me. I don't want someone who will dictate to me (referring to the directions given to the documentary crew in 2001) No you couldn't be here or there - you had to be here. (We all know who I am referring to) I want to feel my way thru it without any instructions or feed. I also do not want people to know I am there - I will be under enough stress just doing the things I need to do - and asking the question I need to ask and searching the records. Dear Sluggo, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings or step on your toes by making what I believe to be a correction regarding the Gate Agent versus Ticket Agent. I get called down for all sorts of things and I have to have Alligator hide. I also have a mouth on me that gets me in trouble because I just say what I am thinking. The FBI tells me I have to put Weber on the plane and yet they can't even give me a hint what they were looking for. I was NOT on that plane with him. If the FBI had just asked me if Duane had this or this - and have even thrown in fake things - perhaps those items where still around 1 yr and 2 months after he died or at least retrivable. Now it is up to witness accounts and slowly, but surely those witness accounts are fading. I have told them about the bag that was in my possession and described it. I told them about the "ankle boots" not what Tina called them - he had newer ones but he kept this pair like they were special (black or Darkest Brown with a grain to them). The FBI didn't try to help me to locate the person who bought the Book that was not a book and what was probably inside of it. They didn't go question the young lady who was in-charge of the Garage Sale that day...at that time it had only been about a yr and 1/2 - maybe she would have remembered. The FBI didn't ask the man who bought the van to take a polygraph or for me to take a polygraph - these things might have been helpful in 1996 because then they would have been valid and reasonable. I have been left to do this on my own and with a great deal of sacrifice of income and health. In 1996 there are lots of things the FBI could have done that would have proved Duane was Cooper. I asked them to allow me to be wired and let me contact certain individuals - there would have been different answers. In the very beginning I kept telling about Duane mentioning a name while we were in WA - I still do not really know what that name was - but I do know the name will be on a headstone or footstone in a cemetary. I did talk to a man with a similar sounding name who told me some strange things - I have several handwritten lines regarding the conversation and the man. What is in my note is all I remember. Certain individuals I have had contact over the yrs - have only wanted to do a book or a movie (FBI included) and some have actually expended a lot of time investigating - but all of the investigation that has been done is only to be utilized as a vehicle to "Hollywood" Cooper...or to make money. When after 14 yrs of struggling I decide to make an attempt to go to WA - I am threatened! WHY? If I have respected Tina to this point why would they think that was all I wanted to do. Tina is NOT my purpose in going to WA. She is not even in WA. My expectations of such a trip are only for my own benefit and for the most part want to be alone. I want to go to the places he told me about and and ask questions - but, NO one is going to remember a man they met a few times back in the late 40's or for a 3 wk period of time in the 60's. Maybe I will get lucky. One thing is for certain - I am not a liar nor have I made this crap up. I have been misled many times - and it is time for me to go back although the changes will obscure most of my memories - just knowing that I tried is what counts. It is something I want to do and I don't need anyone putting any more obstacles in front of me than I already have. What most of you do not know is that I rarely leave my home except to the grocery, drugstore and Dr.s - therefore my making this trip may only be wishing and wanting...in 10 yrs I have not been behind the wheel of car outside of a 3 county area and not more than 30 miles from my home. When my husband was alive - we did fly and travel - but I am terrified behind the wheel of a car not only as the driver, but as a passenger...but, I loved my husband I just took a pill. Maybe 10 minutes ago - it played. I just tried it again. You have to click on the little Mike that says Media. Then it starts to play - you have to wait for the buffer - that is about 15 seconds and then the moderator starts to talk and introduces Doug Pasternac and Jo Weber...It was my first and only interview like that. Byrom Pitts did a video interview - for the news - but I don't remember right now which came first. The TV news clip was brief...and of course it was edited. From stew to nun...? sounds pretty radical to me. Not for a 21 yr old in 1971. Back in those days - being a stewardess was a career that allowed you to travel and the pay was good for the times - a lot more than I made working a desk. WHY? "Common respect" even among others on that same flight. 377, you are an attorney - Right!. Would you take a victim of a crime in 1971 who was only 22 yrs old and who had moved on with her live - put her on a Witness stand today in 2010 - 38 yrs after the crime had been committed. Her life was forever altered - and none of us can even put ourselves in her place. I try to put myself in her shoes - and personally knowing how this notorious crime - changes your life - I understand ---but, I do what I do out of choice and it is NOT inflicted on me. Perhaps this is also the strongest argument for putting an end to the story. JO REPLIES; Perhaps this needs to be researched - for the sake of accuracy: I am working from notes taken in the early yrs of my search 1996. The Gate Agent is listed as Williams (area code 503) and I had at that time a valid address. The list also shows Dennis Lysne (maybe I have misspelled it) as Ticket Agent. I am using notes compiled without a computer - perhaps I confused Ticket Agent with Gate Agent. The Gate Agents accounting has ALWAYS been one of question - because it changed - such as Black versus Brown The Ticket Agents story remained the same. =================== RESEARCHED AND EDITED: PS: The ticket agents name was Lynse and he wrote the name of Dan Cooper on the ticket. At this time it was noted there was NO luggage, but his "briefcase". I think an apology is due - mis-information I understand is the reason for this CAVA (whatever that means). SLuggo is supposed to be the go to person regarding the 1971 Skyjacking and he can make mistakes, but don't let Jo Weber (myself) make one little slip. I am even accused of making mistakes when I am accurate. So how's my memory? How good is my record keeping? What I needed a passenger list for is totally separate issue. Upon obtaining a list - I found very little connection in what I am looking for other than the name Cummings - without saying much - this was a name very well known to me - but what is in a name - that is a common name....but cause for thought. Try Neustel --- unsure of the spelling...something that came up very early on in my research. Was NOT a passenger. I am not and never was. Something I tried to tell the FBI and it fell on deaf ears.

THAT is ABSURD and you know it. What Targets? I have no one person in the state of WA I need to see - I have research to do. Historians to talk to. Archives to study. Who has been protective of witnesses - especially one? Who has respected their wish NOT to be contacted even though I had that information for yrs. Galen Cook knows where she is...will he be as protective as I have been. Obviously Blevins Pounced on her. She called me...yrs ago and all I did was send a note. I have left 2 messages over the yrs - one to let her know a person had found her location and I felt responsible --- the other was to put her incontact with an old friend. Since she took the phone call from this person after that - it was the only Thank You I needed. You nor CARR know me very well - I am not the one who has domatically pestered the witnesses. Yes, I have contacted Himmelsbach many many times. Someone like Jerry is a person who needs to be reprimanded - not me. I don't see you condeming him for what he did to me - didn't you listen to the tape? Who has been the one to defend the negative talk about Tina in this forum? Who has the compassion for her one would have for a child? Others choose to talk about her just as they do about me - and it usually is not good. I am delusional and lots of bad things have been said about her in this forum - and NOT ONE of you know if it is true. I defend her right to her privacy - that doesn't mean I don't want to talk to her and see her eye to eye and ask questiona and show her pictures - but in the yrs I have had her number and location - I have NOT done this - why? Certainly I have MORE respect for her than most others do. Listen to that tape and then go back are read the horrible things Jerry said to me - over and over and treated me like a prisoner of war. How he has spent yrs trying to discredit what I said - with these tactics (but, I had paper trails). I have always admitted there might be something out there because in ONE interview I was actually asked to use the terminology and names that Jerry provided - since I didn't know them. I regreted doing so and informed these people none of that was correct and that Jerry made me look like a fool...I have the email. I have explained what I am going to do in WA, but not in detail - all of this is providing my health even lets me make the trip - I may never get to do it except in my mind. If I am ABLE to go to WA - I assure you that if Tina was to see me it would be her choice. She has chosen not to dicuss this with anyone and that is her choice. Trying to put a site connection into the post. I did not know this site existed of a telephone conversation conducted in Aug of 2000 with Doug Pasternak and myself and a News person. I was not well prepared for the interview, but I tried to answer the questions off the top of my head. It was a brief interview and therefore some of the other things where not mentioned.

Since I was told early on in my contact with the FBI and retired FBI about the bag. This has always been a given for me. I was told it was lunch size - other than this no reference was given in size. It could have been a 2 packs of smokes? Candy bars? No-Doze (an over the counter drug used to help one stay awake)? Gloves? There was a shoe shine stand in the terminal? I mention this for my own reasons - because of something Duane said and did at a later date. Note the ankle rubbers I have described before ( well known from that time period) used to protect the shoes from the rain and slush. A common item at a shoe shine concession in airports in that time period. Just the right size when purchased in their little travel pouch. Seems unlikely Cooper entered the airport with this small bag. If he had purchased it before he got to the airport he would have removed the contents and tucked them in his pockets. Ticket Agents name was Dennis Lysne Gate Agent Howell Williams I believe it was the Gate Agent I spoke to, but my notes are over 13 yrs old (no computer during the first 4 yrs). Yes, unfortunately yours truely Jo Weber did speak to the ticket agent. I will have to go back thru my files to find the date and his name and the contact information - but I believe he is deceased now (just a rumor I heard, but no verification). I will also post any statements I may have written down- regarding this contact. I believe that Margie Boule may have been the last actual individual to have interviewed this ticket agent. The accountings I have read of his story have changed over the yrs. I am sure Sluggo will find this to be true when he reviews the articles. I was unable to open the article posted earlier regarding the sack. Interviewers and writers make lots of mistakes (and/or deliberate creative literary licensing) - that alone is responsible for some of the myths. My information came from Himmelsbach himself and that was in 1996 (fall of the yr). Like yourself one needs to find out if this is myth or fact - very good idea Mr. Sluggo. I will review the Norjak book and Tosaw's - unless you have already done so. Below is a little story which is first hand knowledge of how myths are born:

I dated some flight attendants in my youth Ralph. Thankfully they were exceptions to your idealistic lofty standards. They were, however, "exceptional"... we do agree on that point. One had easily a thousand of those little drink bottles, all full of course. 377 I lived near the airport in the Atlanta area - alcohol was a major problem and the airlines far to lenient in the disciplinary actions. Georger: where are you when the forum need you? Do your thing with the Christiansen picture - if it was a picture of Duane you would be doing handstands taking this task on. I challenge you to agressively take to task this Christiansen picture - with his brief case, bag and ticket thing as you have done with Weber. Why not challenge this man's claim the same as you have with Weber? Not doing so - would only cause one to think - you have a "grudge" or motive in regards to Weber. I have to admit - it is able. I took the white bag to supposedly be the bank bag. It was my understanding yrs ago from Himmelsbach that the paper sack Cooper carried on was, maybe - lunch (so it could not have been as large at the White bag depicted in the pic). Blevins is referring to that large white bag as being a "paper bag". Am I reading the caption correctly? Blevins CLAIMs the photo was "staged" after the crime by a few wks is WAY-OUT. You are correct in that the picture is of an older Christiansen. That picture appears to be of a man about 60 to 68 (or if younger one who was very very sick). As for Weber I have tried not to use photos taken prior to 1980, because I felt they would be useless for identification purposes.... Dedicating the book to Tina and Florence flies in the face of "good taste" - does he have permission to do this? Better yet prove he is not doing this for MONEY - donate ALL the profits to the charity of Tina's choosing and have her endorse the book. Betcha that won't happen! Dotson, Kawaguchi, Traven, Sweeney, Henderson, Van Hemert, Garrity, Schwind, Turner, Best, Goodrick, Haskell, Morrow, Butler, Baker, Wade, Ford, Hadden, Hastings, Marchison. Bette Scott, Schwind, Cleghorn, Van Buren,Hull, Streeter and Chesi. This is only a partical list of names I need to check against that passenger list, but if you have a passenger list - please compare the names I have listed and contact me by my private email address. A representative of the illustrious FBI told me "If you go to WA you will get into trouble." What are they going to do - arrest me? Why do they want to keep me out of WA.?
