Free? I expect you and others will never believe the truth, because it was TOO obvious and the truth was right infront of the FBI for several yrs, but certain individuals did NOT want the truth to ever come out - and why was ONE man was allowed to hinder the investigationg into the most obivious suspect the FBI ever had? Perhaps the truth will NEVER be known - but when all is said and done there will be only one REAL suspect to consider. I have agreed to do a Lie Detector test and so far they are very very expensive. I don't want this paid for by someone who would color the questions with prhases that might upset me and I will be one of the individuals listed to receive the results - NOT just the FBI or other interested parties. All question will have to be approved by me - because I do not want questions asked that could be both yes and no. The phrasing is very important to me. Such as - Did you take a Sentimental Journey in 1979? I am the one who called it a Sentimental journey AFTER the fact. The question would be "Did you and your husband go to Seattle in 1979". See what I mean about obtuse questions being reworded. I will not dis- allow any question, but the phrasing must be right so I can answer with a yes or no. Also if a leading question is asked. another question must be asked to clarify the questionable question or one worded in a way I will understand. Georger - in 1979 it was NOT covered with brush. The area just East of there had brush and scrubby trees near the water. In 1979 - there was a small building down there - geeze why did I just say that. Was there a small building not much larger than an out-house just West of the gate and under the trees? Georger - think about this Duane Weber always got caught - Right? He spent most of his life behind bars because he got Stupid - right? Duane Weber spent most of his life until 1968 behind bars in one way or another - Right? In 1970 he learns he is dying of a kidney disease - he feel cheated and wanted to end his life. It all started NOT because he was a bad boy but in the Navy - he was not a thief then - but, became one because the only job he could get was picking apples or cleaning out latrines - why his parent fought so hard to get the Bad Conduct erased but never could. In prison - and his association with veterans in and out of the system - I am sure planted some seeds. Like he told me one time and I assumed he was talking about Jefferson because I did not know about the other prisons - he said they used to sit around talking about doing the BIG ONE. His talking about veterans and pilots in the system ---my knowledge of the world was so small I could not invision a veteran or pilot in a stateside prison. I do not recall why this conversation happened other than it was in the last few yrs of his life and I think I asked him what it was like in prison. Why not go out in a blaze of glory - at least the guys in the prison might guess who went out that door. I feel sure he DID NOT expect to survive (hence the nightmare - one he must have lived with for a long time before he met me). Why did he choose WA - perhaps because it was the little freedom he did know - in the 40's after he left whatever program he was in with McNeil. Think about this - he actually only had that freedom and the 6 yrs he ran as John Collins always on the run and always looking over his shoulder. He sent his WIFE home and the stepchildren - (so she told me). Why would he use that tie clasp - because the person who gave it to him was special. He left it behind as a message. I really think Duane thought he would die. Survival was not planned for. How he survived - I believe I know - and I think he called in someone he knew and why this person would later try to find out about the law regarding the money and this persons involvement after the fact. Why he went one way and this person when another way - but that portion is theory, but only because of my contacts with others who knew Duane from the past. I don't think Cooper was planting anything by placing the money in various spots. I think he was just being Stupid - the same Stupid things that always got him caught before. Maybe when he retrived the money he left behind in WA - maybe it was already unspendable - and why he just dumped it in more than one spot. I and others can only guess at what was going on in his mind. Duane was very much like a little boy in many ways. When Jerry said I told him Duane threw a "something" out the window over a bridge. YES, that did happen, but it was NOT the Portland bridge. I didn't actually see what went out the window, but I questioned what he threw out the car window and do not remember his reply...this would have been a smaller package than the other 2 packages (oh yes, I did say 2 other packages). I kept a couple of little secrets because I never understood much of this. Only one package was in a paper bag and that was put in the water at the Red Lion. Since I have been labeled a Liar - I thought I might just as well make it a triple Whopper! (Is there such a thing as a Triple Whopper?) I have no idea what Duane did that afternoon he disappeared on before we left Seattle. He was not out drinking that is for sure and he was NOT with the guys. He was Giddy as all hell when he got back to the room and we were late going down for the banquet. The next day we left Seattle very early for Vancouver and Portland and then to Tahoe. When I told Jerry about a bridge all I did was describe an old iron bridge (the old fashion ones like we had in KY). When I saw the Portland Bridge in 2001 and in 2010 I knew that was NOT the bridge he threw something out of the car at. Like I said Georger - you will have to figure out if this a double or a triple whopper or if it is a whopper at all. Now when Jerry reads this, he is going to have a hissy! There is more evidence leading to the idea that he lived, rather than died. The two biggest examples are the money found at Tena Bar (far off the flight path and if you believe Tom Kaye's team, unlikely to have just washed up there on its own) and the other is the lack of a body, parachutes, remainder of money, briefcase, etc. They DID find the placard, though. A reletively small item. Robert, those are the very things I would like to have said, but chose not to post until you made the one common sense remark made tonight. Even Georger is his "weird" post made sense. I have had a HORRIBLE day and not Cooper related. I am so very very tired and NO I won't be at the symposium or in WA to hear JT tell all of his lies. I hope there is someone with enough GUTS to stand up to his story about the things he and I talked about from 1996 to 2001 when I discover HE had been LIEING to me. If no one ever remembers anything I said - remember this: In 1996 when I was PUT in contact with JT - I didn't have a map or the names of the places. I have repeatedly told in this thread what I discussed with JT during those yrs and how I came to find out he was the one LIEING to me. GOD (the Creator) as my witness - I have NOT lied about anything Duane told me and showed me nor the places he took me...I just didn't know the names of them. My memory of them was dead on....and I found all but one of them. A couple in 2001 and the rest in 2010. I only had the names JT gave me of the places, but he kept ignoring the path of our trip even when I insisted we crossed the Columbia before or at the dam and that we were on HWY 14 when we turned North to 500. I have been to HELL and back and if there is a HELL it could never be worse than the 15 yr nightmare Jerry Thomas has put me thru. JT is probably why the FBI never took me serious and why they did not look deeper into Duane. Note JT has NEVER talked about the Taxi driver and his suspect. JT was adamant this was the man. This man was brought to the attention of the FBI by JT if my memory serves me. NOTE he never talks about this suspect! For those interested there was a large article on Jerry in regards to the Taxi driver and his old buddy. All of this after Duane had been presented as a suspect. I have always wondered what Jerry found on Green Mt and why he has refused to this day to admit it was the one thing I describe so in detail (a place others knew the moment I described it). Even though it was called a Mt. it was as you guys say a "hill". It was too wet for Bruce and I to venture up the MT. but it was as I described it and I recognized it as we passed it. A woman in the area - sent us right back to the very place I showed Bruce. It was so peaceful on that hill in 1979 and I wonder why it was so special to Duane. I had told in the thread that in 1979 it reminded me of a cemetary with large boulders as grave markers spread out amongest all of the tall - and what appeared to be some dying trees. It was early fall and perhaps they had just lost their leaves. Now there is a Tower on that MT. I want to go back to that place. I will also note that JT claimed in this thread the place did NOT exist - He told you guys there was a Golf Course and Shopping Center there - (they were quiet a ways away from this "Mt"). Duane could NOT be in 2 places at one time. We have San Franciso records putting him in California in 1951. The San Quentin files states there was a 8-6-51: Wanted: Bureau of Prob. & Parole, Colombus, Ohio It goes on to say 4/5/54: Wanted: Bureau of Porbations & Parold, Columbus Ohio. 1-15-57 Cancelled. The files reads 21mos.Parole TGT.Family in ohio Subject to Hold 10-53 SC:Conditon of parole TGT Family in Ohio Removed FVSQ: Rev/Denied. F1 on Mar 25 Calendar. 3-56 FOL:TRA 4&4 rys. CC&3 1/2 yrs CS; Second TFA 5yrs.CC W/P/tm.GPTD 2yrs. OP:Subj.to hold: From the sound of this it seems he escaped or something. I just know he was NOT encarcerated in a prison during some of those yrs. From July of 1945 until (?) he was in a program arranged for by family members. This sure needs to be unraveled. Smokin99 - where were you working 15 yrs ago when I contacted the FBI? Could have used this information to narrow down the missing yrs. Back then the sister and the brother might have been able to fill in the spaces if I had had this information. Someone needs to help me map out the yrs from July 1945 to 1949. If I could narrow the yrs down he was "out of sight" and those when he was "definitely" confined it would help me to sort some things out. I know he was in CA in 1944, so how the hell does he end up back in Ohio and exactly when did he end up back in Ohio? This OLD file indicates Duane had an scar on the back of his right index finger. He had pointed it out to me, but I couldn't see it. I do not remember what he told me about that scar...not that it is important - as the witnesses did NOT mention a scar on the right Index finger. The outstanding Ohio Warrant was served concurrently in San Quentin in conjunction with the Folsom stay. Therefore he must have skipped out on them and that is the story I have heard...and how the file reads. What information was provided is as inaccurate as my birth certificate. Old archives that are keyed into the computer systems and other systems have lots of errors. I just learned my name is not my name. Never had a reason to have a certified birth-certificate before and now - my own identity is a shambles. For 34 yrs I have used my name and now it is not my name. Smokin99 you have just narrowed the window! If Duane escaped from an honor camp in 1947 and is not seen or heard from until 1949. Somethings I found out are starting to make sense. Duane would have head in a direction he knew - To Grandma's, but where did his Grandma live and/or where did her relatives live. Who did he know in WA? Where some of her relatives in the area or perhaps some guys he made friends with in McNeil and the other program the family got him into. He talked about a man who was a photographer - This man photographed the N.W. Was his name Wenz or Wentz. Was he an apple picker following the jumper around in those yrs. What your post did was narrow the search down to 1947-1949. Now The Dalles story about the guys claiming Duane was a dishwasher at the Old Spillway Tavern and Duane told me he swept out a store in The Dalles and the information he gave me on the Fire Dept Museum. It was close due to an election when I was there in 2010. Also explaines how he knew the cemeteries - no one questioned some guy willing to dig graves! The CCC's and forestry helped with the building of the smoke jumpers. Explains a grave Duane mentioned - knowing someone buried in one particular cemetary. That is a very interesting find regarding the finger prints. I have mentioned the emory cloth thing before - but, no one cared nor do they now. Duane made sure he did NOT have to be printed during out marriage. Irecently found he was printed on the Ft. Collins DUI in 1979 or 1980 and probably not on the FL. DUI and in possession of gun out of Jacksonville, Fl in 1966 (approx). He got around and got in and out of trouble. That article will need some explaining. Duane Weber was arrested in ST. PETE in 1957 while on probation from SanQuentin/Folsom. So was Duane arrested 2 times in St. Pete (Treasure Island)? In 1943 Duane's parents live in Ca. near Huntington Bch. Yet, you are saying he was sentenced in 1947 in Cleveland. Yet, there are records in CA. that stated he was sentenced in 1944 to McNeil, and the records show he was released 6 months later - but instead was place in a special program per his sister and brother. Since the missing yrs on Duane are July of 1945 to 1949. I will note as I have noted before that the San Quentin and Folsom records shows the Ohio issue you stated was served concurrently with the California issues. Per the San Quentin and Folsom file it is to be concluded from the prison file that Duane SKIPPED OUT before he actually served his time in Ohio. The Ohio incident was served concurrently with the CA. incident. Added 2 yrs to his CA stay and may be why they moved him from Folsom to San Quentin for his last 2 yrs. The missing yrs on Duane are from July of 1945 to 1949. The only way I can see the family doing this was Duane was placed in an honor camp - and then escaped or ran away because he ends up in CA. The 1949 sentencing was llsted in this thread. The court records send him to San Quentin and Folsom in 1949. If Duane was on a honor farm in Ohio in 47 perhaps they sent him to the N.W. because of the family OR maybe he escaped! What stand out to me is the story about 2 guys escaping and one is killed (a story Duane told me about 2 guys and I since learned he had told me about his life in 3rd person perhaps the one that got away was himself). Could it be Ohio sent him to the N.W. because of Family issues and Duane was placed on an Honor farm in the N.W. or he just hung out in the N.W. When you guys find this London Ohio file you will find he either escaped or was sent to the N.W. and this was arranged by family members out of Chicago or Ohio. Perhaps using the name of Wenz or Wentz - his grandmothers maiden name. When Duane was arrested in 1957 in St. Pete perhaps what he claimed about the list of people in his possession was true. He told the athorities knew the people on the list - "Ask Them, They know me". His Uncle had a winter home or resort home there. His name would be Lyman and his wife's name Naomi. After Lyman died Naomi remarried and moved to St. Pete. She died there as did her new husband. This is the only thing that would explain his being arrested twice in St. Pete and is logical. I just had a 2 1/2 hour conversation with someone regarding WHY the FBI's position on certain subjects are so Wishy Washy. It all comes down to "The FBI is hiding something". That is aways the consensus unless they want to admit to just being Stupid. 40 yrs and they offer little more than they did 35 yrs ago. A good close up-picture of a tie clasp should have been done, but they did NOTHING of the sort. A vague picture with NO mention of the grade of "pearl" or the content of the metal. If they do not want to analyze the tac - then give the public a magnified picture of the clasp alone. A close-up of the clasp might have found Cooper yrs ago, but the FBI keeps secrets and now Father time keeps them. I will address your question about WHY I do NOT post documents. Number one I am lousy at scanning documents and too much would have to be blacked out like the FBI does. Remember that Duane had a wife and stepchildren. I would put myself at great risk by posting tax reports and W-2's. Also, something like the IOU - I was told to beware of this man...last I heard he is still alive and dangerous. I have outlined in the past the W-2's in this thread. The response was - he was a thief. The cost of living? I can't remember what I paid for rent in 1971 for myself and my children. The tax reports where NOT detailed unless you where claiming lots of Dr. bills and interest on loans. Duane divorces one wife and remarries within 2 months. I would not know how to separate all of this out on joint tax reports. How do I know who had what and who incurred the Dr.s bills. Duane Weber and KC cannot be compared and that is what you are asking me to do. They had different lifestyles. A thief spends his money a little differently than the guy who leads a quiet life like KC. Duane travels and spents lots of money on bars, women, expensive gifts, hotels, trips - etc. His lifestyle in those days would be hard to track. I have listed his income of the important yrs of 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 and to go beyond involves the private lives of a wife and children who like myself have been victimized by Weber. What I wanted was for the FBI to verify a safety deposit box from 1980 to 1990. I am told by the agent of record a few yrs ago, the FBI can't access safe deposite box records. In 1996 the FBI should have been able to track the box real easy and the plane ticket to a midwest state...all it would have taken was my permission to access the account records. Now 15 yrs later I don't remember which account the ticket was charged to and the credit card records from 1990 have been deleted. Traces of boxes closed in 1990 are no longer available. How convenient the FBI just sits ON THINGS until it is TOO late! Yet, they go on about a new suspect for about a yr and then the Cooper Sleuths peg the suspect as a big "NO" from the moment the FBI announces their supsect. The FBI spent over a yr investigating a man that was too young and his accusor claimed he had the comics on his refrigerator....When I heard this I just laughed. The Cooper Comics had not been discussed until this thread came into existence and Carr mentions them on the FBI web sight. Suddenly the FBI has a suspect on the radar with comics on his refrigerator! Because of his age and the picture it was a NO. The Comic thing just added a big slap to the face of the FBI. Now, Ted Braden was a good match - knowledge, opportunity and appearance - other than the eyes. I still feel it is very hard to state Dark brown (piercing) eyes and the suspect have hazel eyes. Witnesses are NOT alwyays reliable, but this was not just a man who goes into a bank and robs a teller. I have the tax reports from 1969 and they show virtually no income for a couple of yrs and yet 2 new cars where purchased and a Trailer on a lot and he loaned his BOSS - $5,000 on a note....How does a man who only made a few hundred dollars loan his BOSS the next yr - 5K? I have the IOU. I have mentioned these things over the yrs. but I don't go into detail. How in 1979 after Duane and I returned from WA did he purchase not one car but 2 others. One of the vehicles I had NO knowledge of until a smart Cookie caught it in the tax report? So you see the paper money trail is there just like with KC only Duane basically bought things and gave people money. He was NOT a good investor and the money was HOT. He could only spend what he WASHED in Tahoe and Vegas (he and the exwife went to Vegas). He and I went to Tahoe. Some how 50K came into existence when Duane went on dialysis. No one can explain this and he used it over a 5 yr period of time until his death. I have also explained about a safe deposit box I could NOT find information on from 1980 to 1990. Only the FBI could access those records and they refused to do so (Carr is the one who flat out said NO). KC's transaction were to Transparent for Cooper. You have no concept of the economy during those times or you would NOT continue to boast about KC's investments and loans to individuals. I did live and work during those yrs - so I know how it was. I was frugal and I put away money, but my then spouse spent every cent he could lay his hands on - always chasing easy money with pyramid schemes and why I divorced him in in early 1972. When I got rid of the baggage I made it with 2 kids and myself working a secretarial and accounting job. Remember that back then - if the guy didn't pay the child support there was no way to get it - so the women worked 2 and 3 jobs. I had savings when I married Duane about 7 yrs later and owned my car (used) - only 2 yrs old when I bought it. Now go chew on them apples. A single woman in those days making it on her own with 2 kids and child support checks that usually bounce. I made sure I had money in the bank to cover his check when they bounced and I always had a savings account. When I say I had only $5 to take myself out for my birthday in 1977 is because I saved 10 cents out of every dollar I made. I paid my bills and put money away before spending it on myself or something frivolous. My children and the bills and saving came first. I do remember a couple of times I had to hit the savings hard because I got laid off, but I that is why one saves money. KC did not have kids and let me tell you if I was able to survive with 2 kids and I made a lot less than KC (women didn't make much in those days) - KC was doing well.. My not making the financials available is my business, but the paper trail is there. Living in WA and making a big show of money you could not support - would be a very bad move during the yrs KC loaned individuals $'s and bought things. KC lived frugally and that is obvious...but no kids to support. Men making what KC did sometimes had wives who did not work and yet these guys put their kids thru college and bought homes and lived well. I no longer give out SS numbers over the computer unless I know all recipients are deceased. You need to verify how you intend to use the number and what sources you think you have available that has NOT been available to me or others. Maybe you work for SS. Hey, I even tried that one. I contacted SS (yrs after the initial contact) but they caught on REAL quick...asking me for the death certificate. Of course I have NO death certificate. I explained I wanted only to find out if the SS was real and if it was actually issued to John Collins and the approx location. NO DICE! I dentity theft problems! I did that! They told me I needed proof Duane Weber used the AKA of John Collins. I could NOT establish a connection between John Collins and Duane L Weber. It is NOT a detailed work record that give you the dates and names of the employers. Just the yr and the income reported. I did this more than once and also contacted an attorney who told me the same thing. Without the FBI I had no connection between Weber and Collins. If I had NOT exhausted all of this WHY do you think I handed the numbers to a man in CA who supposedly had connections to get them for me? I have been there and done that. I signed off after I made the post and answered them in order of importance since coming on tonight. In the Post above I explain to Georger my experience with the SS searches. I cannot get the earnings report of the SS on John Collins. REMEMBER - I had NO proof Duane Weber was John Collins all because of the FBI refused to provide me with the Jefferson papers. The agent knew why I wanted the Jefferson records. The FBI refused to give me any thing until the 30 yrs where up and by then I didn't need Duanes SS on John Collins. John Collins received a commutation - not Duane L. Weber. John Collins was arrested and convicted - not Duane L. Weber. Why the Hell do you think I am so bitter about the FBI. I asked for this infomation in 2000 - this is when I had my dispute with the FBI. Remember I had the papers about Duane's Army record and his McNeil record and the agent took me to task claiming Duane was NOT in the Army or in McNeil. Later that yr - they never produced the John Collins information I needed to draw any benefits he may have accumulated. Remember this WAS why I went public. Until 2000 only friends, relatives, ex employers, the FBI and Himmelsbach and JT knew about Duane Weber and his confession. I sat on this from May of 1996 until March of 2000, but still did NOT go public until that summer when Doug did his article. If I was NOT looking for the truth and was only looking for 15 minutes of fame - why would I sit on it for 4 1/2 yrs. Sometimes people need to THINK about the actions of a person making a claim. Had the FBI been UPFRONT with me - I doubt I would ever have gone public. The FBI's own actions gave me cause to re-act. I didn't have to make up a story - because I had been trying to tell the story to the FBI for almost 5 yrs and it fell on deaf ears. That has NOT changed in the last 10 yrs either. I am not a child who heard a story being told nor am I someone who was out to make money off of my husband's confession. Duane had some life insurance and the house had a very small mortgage on it - I had basically been paying the bills for 5 yrs before he died. The stress of my dealing with the FBI and seeking answers to my questions about Duane and his past - has cost me LOTS of money not to mention what it did to my career when I went public and why I did NOT want to go public. Doug knows it took an FBI agent giving me incorrect information for me to BLOW! And when I BLEW - there was NO stopping me. I will NOTE that NO ONE blinked an eyelash when I mentioned Wenz or Wentz. I am still trying to find the papers I was looking for - I think they had something to do with the Young Men and Fire. I can't find any of my notes from that. I guess I didn't think I would ever need them - I wondered how I knew so much of that story before I read it. Where had I heard most of that story before? Now I think I know, but need to find those papers. IF Wenz or Wentz was not in that incident then it was in something I read about the Flying Johnsons. It may have been other research I did. It was when I did the Doc Severinsen searches and the Smokejumper searches and the CCC's and Forestry Departments. I don't remember the 1st name used by this person and why I had a reason to remember that one name out of all of the many names connected to these things. Bruce - who is Lillian B? You mentioned this name in connection to Ted Braden and I need to know if this is the same Lillian B whose father's name was Walt. Call her and ask her the name of her father. If her father's name was Walt - CALL ME! I believe you gave me a different spelling than the name I have. In the late 30's and 40's there was a CCC camp in Goldendale, but it is my understanding that was NOT in existence in 1944 to 1948. I spent a couple of days in the Goldendale area in 2010 on my trip - all I found was a story about the rodeo there and interviewed some very very nice people. Was a very friendly place and the most memoriable place of the trip (simply because of the people). I found no links to Duane - regarding the Bar. All the old timers had passed on. For Heavens Sake, Georger keep your pants on. I do not stay on the computer all day. The name of the company was Interlock Screw and Bolt Corporation out of Atlanta, GA in 1970. I do not believe they still exist. The branch manager at that time was Buck Deal. Good Luck. The SS number of John Collins has been researched, but the FBI refused to provide the work record. Only the SS recipient or a survivor or government agency can access those records. I have all of the employment data for Duane L. Weber (just the amounts made and the yrs of the reported income). The yrs from 1962 to 1967 are BLANK with 0. This list was acquired when he applied for disability. What we do know about the SS number for John Collins is that it was issued in 1964 in MS. That is the sum total of information I have and Doug Pasternac acquired that. I have had others extract the numbers from me claiming they can produce the detailed work record - but guess what? They never produced one iota. A man in CA claimed his connections would allow him to go were others could not - he gave me IOTA. He claimed he could find out Duane's employment records under Weber and Collins. If he found it - he did NOT give it to me! Orange, I am starting with your post because it was inappropriate and you obviously have no concept of widows benefits. Duane died in 1995 and he drew SS on his name but could NOT claim the 6 yrs he spent as John Collins. When I turned 62 I was eligible to draw widows benefits which I did because my health insurance was so expensive. My health insurance took most of the benefit. When I was 65 I was eligible to draw on my own number which was more and I got medicare, but I had remarried. Having remarried I was eligible to draw on my current spouse of the time.. No you do NOT draw on more than one spouse. I now draw widows benefits off of my last husband - but not off of Duane or my benefits. What is unfair is that several wives can draw against one man. If a man had 4 wives and he was married to them at least 10 yrs - each one of them can draw against his benefits. That is NOT fair! If you divorce a man and he remarries - why should his benefits support a wife who left him for another man? Not just Vicki but many others who would just like to see the records the FBI has on their family member. Duane could not collect on the John Collins part of his SS when he applied for benefits and I could not apply on the John Collins. because the FBI would NOT provide me with that information so I could do so. The FBI HOLD the ONLY information that would confirm that Duane L Weber and John C. Collins are one and the same. Until they do this - I cannot prove I am the widow of John C. Collins. Since I draw on my last husband it is now a mute point, but it really GETS me that the FBI will allow these men to view the FBI files - Men who wish ONLY to gain monetarily and to increase their status in their fields or to be the person who finds the information that GETs Cooper. Jerry Stated: Jo's Answer: No I am not indicationg Duane was Canadian - ONLY that he worked for a company (1970)with a screw and bolt company that had to cut back due to loss of contracts. As for the Ben Gazarra tag - I did put that on the 2 second composite. Clara only mentioned that her "skyjumper" looked like Ben Gazarra, but the label for the composite I do NOT believe was ever called the Gazarra Composite until I started to call it that. To distinguish between the 2 composites I call one the Bing Crosby Look-like and one the Gazarra look-alike so individuals would know what composite I was referencing. I didn't invent anything just tagged items with labels so who-ever was reading it would KNOW what I was talking about. Please read and comprehend - I am often accused of jumping to conclusions - note that is what you did in this instance. ALSO note I did NOT have anyone do the avatar and I have explained previously how the Avtar came to be. Not having the computer ability to cut pictures in-half. I just kept on until I had the picture of Duane about the size of the composite. I printed them and then cut them in half and taped the 2 pieces toether and then scanned that. It came out pretty decent even though the pic I used of Duane had his head slightly tilted to the side as Duane did NOT want face forward photos. In those first yrs of my search with no YOUNG pictures of Duane prior to 1978 ask a forensic artist to do an age regression. I never like the age regression and do not use it. It is not incorporated with the Avatar. After I acquired the photo of Duane in the brown suit with the pearl tie tac - I met with this artist at the Burger King on Nine Mile Rd. (I would acquire this photo around 1998 and it was sent to me by Duane's ex-wife). The artist looked at the picture of Duane taken in 1970 versus the FBI (Gazarra) composite and the regression he did. All I had in the beginning was Duane's old pictures and in 1998 I acquired some photos went to me by the ex-wife - even though the FBI did NOT want us TALKING to each other at all. The words that came out of the forensic artist mouth - "the photo and the composite are the same person". Some place I have his exact words, but they are lost to me at this time in my life around 13 yrs later. Now Jerry, I will not repeat the above again as everyone else knows it by heart. I have NOT made up any of this story and would appreciate it if you would leave me be. I have explained why I accepted the names of the places you gave me - because I had NO map of that area in those days. Perhaps you were NOT trying to mislead me but have been stubborn. in accepting the explanations.. I tried to explain the places to you over a phone, but you told me no such places existed. I could NOT transmit over the phone in a conversation the images I was seeing in my mind. I could not give them names because I had no map. I had to accept the names you gave me - but, when I stepped foot into WA in 2001 I knew the names you gave the place where NOT right. You were unable to READ my mind or see the visions in my head and I was unable to transport those images to you. I should have made a trip to WA in 1998, but I had not the means to do so at that time. You forget I kept telling you "NO that we where NOT on the Columbia" and you insisted Duane turned me around. 1. If I was talking about the Columbia then explain to me how or why we argued about the Washougal and modular looking homes and or cabins I saw on the N.E. bend? 2. Why did we talk about a place in the Washougal loop where the guys used to go? 3. Why did we talk about a log cabin in that area? 4. Why did we talk about 2 cemetaries? 5.How many time did I tell you that before we crossed a bridge that we went right past a brick building and to a cemetary and a road that went to a logging (whatever)? 6. Why did we talk about what I thought was a Boy's Scout camp or camping grounds where only the foundation to one of what had been 3 cabins was left? 7. I detailed how it looked. There was a point and with a steep drop-off down to the water. That the water did not run like the Washougal - it was a lazy river (now I know it was not a river but a lake). There were some things on the Columbia but those where on the return trip after we spent a few days in Seattle. You are mixing up the trip to Seattle with the trip leaving Seattle. On the return trip is when we went to the Columbia 4 different times. (hence why I knew were we went on the trip to Seattle WAS NOT the Columbia). On the return trip there is a detour I did NOT even tell you about because I didn't remember it until I was behind the wheel of car retracting that trip on my own without anyone to say - it was this or that (all I did was work my memories and remembered what I saw). That side trip was a eye opener, because I was able to connect the beginng to the ending (some day if you are civil I will explain that). I was also able to connect time and space - in my memory. Memory condensed time to help you retain things. The return trip was when he went down a steep incline and I stayed in the car. When we got out at the Green tank and then to another area on the West side of the highway and then to the Red Lion. At the Red Lion Duane threw a bag in the water and he left me in the car at another stop - while he went down to the water. My memory had thought this IRON bridge going to Portland was were he threw something out of the car - but when I was there in 2010 on my own and driving and with my own money I crossed that bridge and immediately KNEW that was not where he threw something out of the car (hence back to the part I am keeping to myself for right now). It was after we left the Red Lion that we crossed the bridge into Portland (the first time in my life I was ever in Portland) - I remember things like that. This is when we went East along the river and his pointing out things to me but we did NOT stop. The building near the airport where someone left a car, a small airport, an industrial area, the hidden marina on the other side of the river and the story about the boy who stole a boat. Just past that point is when he turns around and tell me we are going to Tahoe. I wanted to know if we could afford to do so and he claimes the office gave him a cash prize!. We head to Tahoe, but only after he points out Gresham and he knew someone who lived there. We do NOT take the interstate to Tahoe but head down thru the hills. Duane worked for the company in 1970 and was laid off due to loss of production contracts. (have absolutely no clue as to what they produced and for who). He worked as a sales person, but he would have been in the factory at times. I have the name and the address of the company, but it probably no longer exists. Now - Down to what we have actually been doing: Now - WHAT name was Duane using in OR, ID and WA? Try Wentz or Wenz - if the FBI does a search on that name - they might come up with a person who was a jumper or trained as a jumper and worked in association with jumpers. That name came up in my research before, but it didn't mean anything to me until now. Most of my research is paper - and lots of things I did NOT keep or unable to decipher my notes. I know that sometime in the last yrs. the name came up, but I knew of NO connection to Weber until now. It has also came up in the past research. Can anyone help me with this. He may only have been in association with jumpers in the 40's but not an actual jumper or in training...he may have been CCC or Forestry Service assigned to various camps as a laborer. He may also have followed the CCC's because of association and family, but not have actually been a registered CCC. I just cannot remember right now where the name Wentz and Wenz came up. This is a connection to WA, ID and OR...it has been in front of me for about 2 or 3 rys but, I just didn't see it. Duane was a complex man who spent what time he was NOT in Prison or jail - running from the law, often without gainful employment.
