. As for your sudden claim of "fiftyish"... for years on this thread we have spoken about forties, even sometimes considering people in their late 30s. You've never disputed the age as being 40s before. All of a sudden you decide to add another ten years? This information came from some communications with the plane when the crew informed the tower they had a skyjacker aboard. Some one actually posted the minutes of that event and inquired regarding the age of the jumper - Fiftyish was the reply from the stewardess. It was in this thread, but I do not know who posted it - probably Sluggo or Georger or someone else who had access to the minutes taken by the tower and the plane and then the journalist as the crew was being escorted for questioning. BUT IT IS THERE SOME PLACE AND NO I DID NOT IMAGE THIS. Perhaps when someone finds it they will realize there are things I do not forget - I just can't file them in an organized way in my mind. I remember what I see, but not always the details unless it stands out to me for a reason. I read this not too long ago. Dan, you surely must have felt just a little compassion for Jo. She isnt 100% sure about Duane being Cooper, just 99.999% sure. I think she could accept the truth if it turned out someone else was DBC. It would be hard, but she could handle it. I think her inquiry to you is a good thing, not a mockable thing. It shows that she still has some doubts, which is rational because she has no definitive proof, just "poofs." Personally I hope Jo finds out the truth soon so she can stop obsessing about Duane being Cooper and enjoy her remaining years doing something more productive and fun. LD Cooper was only 40 yrs old in 1971 - WOW the witnesses said DB Cooper was fifty-ish. Wonder how old they were told LD was in the lone photo they were shown? How did the witnesses establish age of Cooper. Did the FBI agent say did he look my age or did the witnesses say - about my father's age or my teacher's age. To Class Clown: Regarding your post about my story - you do know it is very difficult to tell the same story for 15 yrs without there being some change. In these 15 yrs I have learned many many things...and over a 15 yr period of time - you explore a memory and sometimes you are able to pull just a tid bit more about a specific time frame. I had only places Duane took me and things he said over a 17 yr marriage - during which I had little knowledge about the Cooper case nor did I have any reason to even know. Out marriage was busy...no computer and often no newspaper except on the week-end. For instance when I went to WA in 2001 with the media - that was the first time I had been back since my trip with Duane in 1979 - I realized what I had tried desperately to explaine to others over the phone was not as the listener had interpreted it. After that trip I managed to obtain some good maps and quickly tried to explain in more detail the trip of 1979 to dispell the things another had told as his interpretation of my descriptions of the trip. Then in 2010 I again get to go back to WA and this time I am in a car on my own with no media in my face. I found so much - and the memories just popped. Such as The Dalles, Goldendale and Washougal and Heisson and on up the Road past the "old Battelground" - I had not realized and no one told me (there existed an old and new Battle Ground). It was also important the approach be as close to the way Duane was going as possible. On my own in 2010 - I was able to do this - it was the feel of the areas and my being alone to find any existing memory that might still exist. I found many and how I stumbled into the old part of Battleground. That one was funny (because it was so unexpected) and another one was a little scary because I was lost, but not really lost - I was in the middle of the forest. No one yet knows exactly what all happened on that trip. My recorder didn't work so again it is all in my memory - if I die, I expect the rest of the story and the story will die with me. I have yet to have anyone interested enough to tell the truth as it exists. So the Thread will just have to speak for me....perhaps there will still be a Blevins around and others who can go back into the post and tell the story as I know it...or the story of Coopers escape and survival will not be lost forever...the details I don't know and none of us will ever know unless we were with Cooper or had knowledge of Cooper prior to the Skyjacking or immediately after. Marla had already gone public when certain individuals approached her and then her story started to Grow and Grow and Grow. Where did I read that she went to Eugene - the place her Uncle died? Some items where supposedly retrieved that belonged to her Uncle. Wonder what will happen if the DNA/prints of another suspect matches that of Marla's Eugene treasures. Question - WHY did anyone/someone keep these article for 12 yrs? Where the articles kept because of a story passed along and left behind that went with the articles? A story of a past and a father/daugher like love that was endless, but lost in the throws of addiction. Perhaps it was believed NO one Else knew this story. An Angel or the Devil in indisquise? Jo Comments: If Cooper was around jumpers or perhaps even a packer for jumpers he would have some exposure...and I do believe Cooper had exposure to others. Duane told me something about the Nickels (the black jumpers and I do not believe this is a false memory). He told me the Nickels could not go into town to the restuarants and a young man would run errands for them. I got the impression he was talking about himself. They were definitely stationed in a area he knew well and spoke of knowing individuals in the area at one time, but never told me the yrs or the time period in his life. Jo Comments:

The one sent from Oakdale is different - if he had an injury that needed to heal - he would have stayed there. The sister thought I was MJ until she met me in 2004 when we went to see John. She had a heart attack while we were eating dinner at Johns house. I went to the hospital and she said "You aren't Jo". . I am not well at all and having to delay a planned surgery is not helping me. Due to some current things going on in my life and the concurrent Stress created, I blew my preparation for surgery (stopped smoking and had been off of the prednisone I take to control the side effects of Celiac). I needed to do that surgery before the end of the yr. before flu season since I am unable to take the flu vaccine due to a hereditary disease in my family..which seems to present itself after such immunizations. This surgery cannot be done if I am run-down, smoking, taking prednisone (or similar drugs) and/or have an allergry attack or coughing for any reason. It was a hard climb back from the May surgery and this one has much higher risks. Due to the delay and my current stress problem I may not be a candidate for this surgery which is one that would allow me to lead a more normal life. I talk in riddles about certain things because if I laid all my cards the table - no one would ever believe me and sometimes this information incriminates others who may or may not have been involved. I cannot and will not subject myself to possible lawsuits for slander and there are some individuals who at one time I was afraid of...I told the FBI about these people and Sluggo is aware of who they were but the FBI never communicated with me if they did or did not contact these individuals. Both are deceased now. The guy in Alabama - named Tommy Gunn and the other a former employer I was told was Mafia in Chicago, whose name I revealed only to the FBI. This is the BOSS Duane loaned 5 K and I would like to know why or how. Where did Duane Weber get 5K in those days? The note was not in the files I went thru the other day - so now I have to go get another box out of storage. I should have catelogued the damn files. You are very well aware of this as everyone has been since get go. You also know I knew little about Cooper in 1979. Then in 1996 I learned that Dan Coooper was D.B. Cooper. I was on the phone to the FBI and now 15 yrs later I am still learning who Cooper really was. There is a cemetery he pointed out that is still haunting me to this day. His statement was "I used to know someone buried there" and I did not ask who. The only way he could know anyone in that cemetery was 1971 or before. It was pouring the rain when I was there in 2010, but I walked as much of it as I could and I studied the cemetery records - I only found one date and one name that stood out - but, I did not know what I was looking for. Dont bother looking up the address. It proves nothing related to Norjack. Zero. Nada. Zip. There is no evidence showing that those letters came from Cooper. Sailshaw has urged the FBI to test the letters envelopes and stamps for DNA, but it has not been done. 377 The DNA from the envelops/stamps would help tie this case up and the FBI just sits on it. They would rather waste time and money on Marla which we all know to be just BS and help her promote "Her new book"? Why do the FBI have to be so tied-up in doing nothing? Getting the DNA from the envelopes/stamps is really their kind of work and what they should be doing. sailshaw/Bob Only the DNA on one of those envelopes means anything to me. The one mailed in Oakdale. If it came up as Weber - great it is over. If it comes up as a female - relative great it is over. The other option is the DNA of Weber's then female companion and she has children who are currently alive. It is worth a shot if the FBI really wants to end the Cooper Saga. They could also compare it with Gossett dna if they have any. I asked about the Oakdale letter yrs and yrs ago when I first contacted the FBI - most of my conversations went thru Mr. H, because I thought he would relay my info to active FBI. My Bad - I should have put all of my Cooper information in writing directly to the agent of record, but I was not astute at putting my thoughts into words. Cook is claiming the letters Cooper supposedly sent prove Gossett was Cooper. Well, I disagree. I have told the story about Duane's sister but the FBI refused to llsten. I offered up a letter she wrote to me asking me to leave the past in the past. His sister lived 13 miles from the postmark on the letter. Postmarked in Oakdale. She lived in Modesto, Ca. Since she is deceased I can even look up her old address if you like. Some one tell me how many coincidences does it take for the FBI to take Duane Weber seriously. Perhaps the most unlikely suspect, but that is the problem. Plus the FBI 15 yrs ago and 10 yrs ago did NOT do the job...the did the number 40 yrs ago - at least that is how it is beginning to feel. Too many Co-incidences. At least I offer connections and actual people and places and letters. Have never had anyone show me the one that used a code. The FBI wanted that one to go away....since no one mentiones it I guess it was a game played on me. That one was supposedly mailed out of Reno if I remember correctly. Homid Agreed with you. I wanted his opinion because he has anwered lots of question in a manner making the mechanics of the skyjacking much easier to understand...and for a layman to grasp. Try ID/OR Not in a chute, but next best thing perhaps..picking apples and building things or maybe playing with fire. It has been narrowed down and there is someone "jumping" on it. If an old smokejumper called and told the FBI he knew who Cooper was - the FBI is NOT listening. The things that get called in on Cooper are not usually responded to and most are not taken seriously. There are filters who decide what the agent of record hears or sees - and if it is Weber related they ignore it. More than one person has connected Weber (Dusty) to Cooper - but the FBI never contacted them. They have to find me or wait for me to find them. Now am I playing MARLA's Game? Should I continue to play her game with the public and do I run to the media with trivia? Will there be enough to get the attention of the FBI? Only thing holding us on information recently brought to our attention is illness on the part of a prime person we need to speak with. The problem about getting information verified regarding Cooper is they are usually dieing or they are dead. At least I am not out here running around with deliberate out and out lies. During and Immediately after touch-down it seems. What interest me is the two "little" chutes gone one "big" one cut up, apparently to tie the money with shroud lines. Note how it soundS. ONE BIG ONE CUT UP. ONE BIG CHUTE APPARENTLY STILL ON PLANE. This is a none pilot or jumper talking so it must be one of the stewardess....supposedly Tina, Recently someone replied they measured the cords cut from the chute and it was just enough to wrap the bundle. I think you guys are forgetting you do NOT know what was in that dummy. Probably canvas and more old cords - perfect for wrapping a nice package. In another story I heard one of the stewardesses claimed to have seen what appeared to be a gold bag on top of the brief case. The first time I ever heard of this. Another time it was said that Tina reported what seemed to be a green corner of what might have been a plastic bag (I assume the upper part of the top) the upper flap of the briefcase. It was Greys witness who mentions the gold bag. It was Tina to Tosaw who mentions the green corner. I am doing the bag things from memory do do NOT think I am quoting anyone...so please excuse if I have errors. WHY is this bag thing bugging me?. It has for a long long time, but - I let it go for more important things. Don't know why I can't get this bag thing out of my head. Also we never knew what he had in that paper bag (maybe PayDays). They were considered in those day to be an excellent source of energy. NO one ever checked with the shoe shine man ( he has long been forgotten) - did Cooper buy a pack of the ankle cover ups. The shoeshine man is never mentioned - why? There was one in the PDX at that time. It sure would have helped had the interviewer had requested Tina be more specific on HOW the money bag was attached and if he put the money into another container. I frankly believe another container was provided by the crew - they did NOT want Cooper agitated because he did NOT get his backpack and they made do with what was in the plane (or the man who delivered the bag to the airport place it in a more suitable container). The co-pilot claimed what came on that plane was NOT a white bag. He was peeking thru the door. This was from a personal conversation I had with him a few yrs ago...I do NOT know what he has told others....but, he finished my description for me by providing the color which always eluded me of a bag I disposed of after Duane died. I just didn't have a name for the color. White, beige, brown, tan, olive green, gold beige, wheat ???? I will leave it to your imagination because we both described something and it was NOT a white canvas bag...we finished each others description. Staps or no strap, brown or whatever color, handle or no handle, loops or no loops, strap or no strap. We were both wrapped up in this bag - and very vividly - our conversation was resonating the others. Just one more time when I had NO doubt Duane was Cooper. Strange as it sounds - I described this bag to Mr. H. during the first few time I spoke with him and he told me it was of no importance. Perhaps he did NOT know the money had been put in another container before being taken on the plane. Not familiar with that story. But, neither is possible. Coming back up the stairs lets the stairs come back up slowly. The stairs have to be very rapidly set free to rebound up quickly enough to cause a pressure pulse. When a person is not out at the end of the stairs the hole through which someone would have to jump from the top of even the moving part of the stairs is small and out quite a ways in front of the person. It would have to be an acrobatic dive. I have known this since 1978 when Duane screamed out in his night mare - of course I had NO idea what the dream was about until 1996 (1yr and 2months after he died) The night I found out who Dan Cooper was. Because of his reaching out and up in his dream - I have always felt he got to the end of the stairway and held on facing the front of the plane and let go when he decided it was time. I don't know if he timed it or was just looking for light below the clouds or if there was some kind of signal. Homid answer this - Duane had this back brace he never wore - the kind with pull strings and metal staves...He refused to let me throw it away - even though I am sure he could NOT get it around him during those last 3 yrs. I hate the LD Cooper angle and don't believe it. I see the real Cooper being much smarter and more wordly than these 2 brothers. I am surprised how little follow up by regulars there is here concerning the titanium found on the tie. It seems that since it does not jibe with a particular favorite son theory, it is ignored. I think it's the biggest clue to come out in decades. Pat that makes 2 of us especially given what I know about some of the circumstances and I do NOT mean my knowing Duane was Cooper. Marla is a media WHORE - and eventually she will make a fatal mistake - in fact she has already made several. I expect the SHIT to hit the fan before Friday. The FBI does NOT want this to hit main stream USA and National. I expect the FBI to be making statements to the media by Tuesday to refute her claim. Duane was sick then and I had invested 12 yrs in the marriage - I did NOT walk away, but stayed and tried to make his last 5 yrs comfortable - it was NOT always easy....but he always had money which I just did NOT understand especially when I was paying all the bills after he died. During that 1990 period he raged about 50K and I had NO idea what he was talking about, but at 10K per yr to the income it comes out about right. The Dr. gave him 5 yrs in 1990 and he was right on target. That 50k really existed. That last Xmas he went way over board with Xmas gifts to the Dialysis unit and the nurses - I didn't know where the money was coming from. He knew it was his last Xmas.
