Think about this! How profiling did NOT work. How many profiles did the FBI - put regarding kaczynski? Several. Only one of those profiles came close to Kaczynski. The FBI actually almost had Kaczynski one time - and it got screwed up by erroneous profiling. It took a family member to direct the FBI to Kaczynski. Does this story NOT sound a little familiar? Does this not make one think? Could the FBI have screwed up on Cooper? We have discussed Kaczynski before, but most fail to recognize the fact that Ted slipped under the wire for yrs and yrs. Learn to Read and to comprehend what you read. Max Gunther's book was a book based on 6 phone calls from a woman who called herself Clara. Max changed lots of things and basically made up his story. Clara was the one who referred to her Cooper as a Ben Gazzard type. That was a DIRECT quote from Clara and one that Gunther used. Remember I have letters from Max. Remember Max and I exchanged many phone calls. I am NOT going to fish the book out of storage to post all of the markings Max provided. This part happens to be part of the book that I remember all too well. I suggest you contact your FRIEND Curtis Eng at the FBI office and ask to listen to the tape they made when I called them that frantic night in May of 1996. I had only made it about 13 pages into the book. Max and Himmelsbach both know what is on those pages and why I called the FBI - you don't have a clue because the Ben Gazzard part comes much later. The second call I was only about 1/3 of the way. The third - hell, I don't remember how far I got before the 3rd call but it was over 1/2 way. How could I forget that 1st night when the GATES of HELL opened and perhaps you need to think about this. (I just referred to the past of Weber). I had heard parts of what was on those first few pages, but had NEVER read little about Cooper other than a small article on the 3rd page of a newpaper in Georgia in 1971. Remember even in 1980 when the money find was reported - Duane disappeared with the Newpaper and I never saw that first article. I considered this item "trash", but he doted on something in this item and a clipping inside of it and it made no sense to me until I read those first 13 pages and then I knew I had to call the FBI. This is my secret. This would have been MY proof...but I threw it in the trash. I am a person who throws thing away - I hate clutter....now my home is cluttered with things - lots of useless Cooper research. This thing was NOT even Cooper related so he felt safe in leaving it in a drawer in our house. Can Anyone Find this Specfic post Jerry picked out of 1000's I have made to present to the Today program he is talking about? He over the yrs has made a reference to this post, but how could he be singling out a specific post. I am very curious as to WHICH post he is referring to. I am sure that by reading back from this "specific" post one might be able to understand the post he is referring to. I have checked the old thread in paper form and this one - so far I have found only one post with that number and it referenced someone who had been trying to contact me. That post was inconsequental and does in no way prove I am a LIAR. The person who was trying to contact me was a child in 1971 and was suffering a lot of stress and wanted to find me as I had wanted to find him. All we did was connect and he told me what little he could remember. Since he does NOT want to be involved in this I have left him at peace, but he knows I am here if he needs me and he knows how to find me. You see "folks" this thread has been productive and I just do NOT talk or write about all of the leads and information this thread has provided. This was NOT the only contact I made thru this thread regarding the past of Weber which I just let slide into the massive posts and not discuss. These posters come here looking for me and some never post, but leave a PM or read into the thread enough to pick up my email address on AOL. Some have been informative and others have been pure baloney and/or something I could NOT connect with Weber's past. The New Orleans thing I had been told about by a former family member of Duane's and by Duane himself. I did get this verifies thru this thread and the CLOCK matched the 3 other stories I had been told. The FBI never offered an explanation fo the events of 1968 to 1971 regarding Duane L. Weber and why they went to Boulder looking for him in 1968. They have never explained WHY they did NOT pursue him. Nor have they explained how he went into selling insurance out of Alabama at that time and since the FBI knew how to contact him - WHY did they NOT do so. If they were seeking Duane for parole violation or a crime - why was he not arrested at this point? How did the FBI loose his trail - he was NOT hiding? He had kids in school and later a grandbaby on the way. If the FBI REALLY looked at the information on Duane Weber - what is so SECRET about this enquiry? Who was Weber associating with in N.Orleans? I know. Where did he live? I know. The FBI made copies of the tax report - so they have NO excuse in NOT knowning - or is this just another one of those things they let fly by the public or themselves? You see Blevins I do have the paper trail - but NO one was interested in LOOKING at it because Duane Weber was just a 2 bit small time long term convict and criminal. NOW think about this. Duane had been to San Quentin, Folsom, Canon City, Jefferson and obviously some time in Ohio (but we know he escaped and was on the run during most of that time and when he was caught in CA 1949 then added 2 yrs to his sentence because of the Ohio incident). Why was the FBI looking for Weber in 1968 and why did they not find him? Perhaps they did find him and required he take a couple of trips to the EAST for questioning in regard to another crime which he was not part of, but held information on. This could have been for one of 2 reasons and with Duane's background if you can't figure that one out the reader is on their own. What was happening in the States from 1968 until 1971. What else was Weber involved in the 60's that would have caused the FBI to want John Collins (aka Weber) to come in for questioning? Weber was commuted as John Collins because the people who knew him from 1962 until 1968 had been told this by Duane and Duane had ID and worked under the name, but was always on the move. Only the government knew that John Collins was Duane Weber. Was Weber paying a debt to society? If you look at the paper trail and talk to the individuals (which I did and now most of them are deceased) - one would know there was something FUNNY about that time period and WHY I concentrated on it so hard. Maybe Weber was just snitch when he was put in Jefferson or maybe it was for his protection. Stange why the wife would go to visit him and be told that he was in solitare, but they let him go in about 16 months and this is when she learned his name was Duane L. Weber (this I was told by the wife of the time and all of her family members who knew him only as John Collins until 1968. One has to have FOOD for thought here and to ignore this is foolish on anyone's part. If Duane was the DUMB criminal all have tried to make him out to be - HOW did he pull this off? Jerry, If you are going to consistently relate a post I made - you need to be specific. Find this post and then repost it in the current status of the forum by doing a Quote as a reply. If it is in the old thread then you will have to do a copy and past. As for a stub - I have NEVER said I held the AIRLINE TICKET "STUB". I held the actual airline ticket. There were copies under and over the top layer and they tore these off and there would be boarding passes. The STUB I refer to was what I thought was a parking stub (this was the size of an movie ticket from the 60's). IT said SEA TAC on it and I asked him what SEA TAC was. This proves YOU DO not comprehend or read. Your are confusing the ticket and the stub and making them sound like they are one thing - they are not even comparable. Remember I have had 100's of conversations with Himmelsbach. He put it in the 100's and I asked the FBI this same question. Now remember I have been talking to Himmelsbach for 15 yrs plus. I specifically asked one of the agents many yrs ago. He did NOT have a number but that it was no were near the 1000's. As it was explained to me that early on in the investigation if they threw a drunk in the Tank and he claimed he was Cooper they had to run the stats on him - but not necessarily investigate him. I asked for a realistic number and I really don't remember what he said. It was more than a dozen though so I will retract that one. It was not as high as Mr. H had led me to believe. I keep trying to remember what the agent told me but, it was in the low 100's. He too may have been speaking of the top of his head. So much of that happens in this. I believe the media person you spoke to probably does NOT really know how many have confessed - and if it was as high as she stated she was including every drunk that got put in the tank claiming he was Cooper...not those that got past a cursory look see. Between Amazon's remark and then Class Clown and Now Guru312, I am also laughing. I am the one who usually gets put down, but boy oh boy are you guys laying it on JT today and yesterday. It is about time someone caught the flack beside me. Today USA New - what is that? There is some kind of magazine by that name, but not a TV program I don't think? Well, who am I to say. I get NBC, CBS AND ABC and some religious channels. Obviously I do not watch a lot of TV. All of the programs on Cooper someone has to record and send to me on a DVD or VCR. Now I don't have a VCR to play them on....well, I got one but it won't work thru my converter box. I am way behind the times! I read a lot or keep up with Cooper. Georger - there has never been a carnival act and that is insulting. Why do you think I even volunteered to do a poylgraph - just hoping it would at least be able to validate that I have NOT lied. JT deceived me with the purpose of guiding me (Himmelsbach is the one who told me JT was the ground man). I still do NOT know JT's motive, but it pretty much stands out in this thread. He doesn't want the crime to be solved unless he is the one to solve it. Regardless of what JT says - it is a known fact I could NOT name the places and had no map to the area until after my 2001 trip with the media. When I returned home I got on the phone and confronted JT about the locations and his deceptions. He refused to talk to me about this - and just called me a Liar and it has continued for over 10yrs now. After 2001 I made only one "joke" communication with him until he came to this thread. I fed his frenzie with very obvious things any IDIOT would realized were contrived AFTER I returned from Wa in 2001 and called him. What would you do if someone had wasted 4 1/2 yrs of you life with deceptions and caused the FBI to glance over the only true suspect? I argued with JT fro 4 yrs - he is the one who gave names to the places...and he made them match what was in a book. My arguments about how the places appeared and the fact that we crossed the Columbia before Washougal - he totallly ignored. After the 2001 trip with the media - I came home and told JT where to go. Even then he refused to STATE how or WHY he was unaware of the lake, the cabins and the fact one location was very close to the PDX but on the Northside of the river. You see he couldn't because he was in a state of shock that I actually was able to retract parts of the trip - making him the one whose creditablity was shaken. He has ever since that time tried to discredit me. As for taking medications: I take very little as my body does not handle them and they worsen a disease that runs in my family or can cause the onset. I take NO pain medications or anti-inflammatories (my system can not handle them). I control pain with my mind and with anti-inflammatories that deliver the medication thru the skin (patches and jels). I take prednisone - for celiac flares and rashes. I take a sleeping pill when the pain is bad or the rash is bad. I take an anxiety pill only if I get upset and then I will only take 1/2 of it. A disease runs in our family which some drugs can cause the onset of. IT is a very debilitating disease resulting in death with in a few months to about 3 yrs. Therefore I do NOT take anything if I can handle it without medication. When I am on the computer and my words become rambled that is because I have taken a sleeping pill to escape the pain that was not alleviated by a whirlpool bath or by gels or patches. This is HOW I CHOOSE to handle pain and my disease. I refuse to allow my mind to become pickled by drugs and to take anything that might trigger the end of my life sooner than I want it to end. Even after my surgery in May - I did NOT take even one of the pill prescribe to take after the surgery. Lidocane patches and Ice Packs -was ALL I did. I hope I can do the same with the next surgery - but it will be more extensive. All pain mediations and antibiotics have to be delilvered by IV - my internal system will eject them (meaning I get very sick to my stomach). Now Georger go take your MEDS!

My sympathies that the Seattle FBI blew you off like that. It's possible they read the Tina Article and the Preparing For Tina Article, and even possibly the Dormuth article. That would do it, all right. Mr Dormuth, as you know, is a retired FBI agent. Bruce had a decent opportunity and he blew it with his questions. I was hoping he was improving his interviewing technique, but seems like he just cannot hold a groove. He is a good writer, but a poor interviewer. His 'way" with people needs LOTS of work. Bruce is boyish looking even for his age and size (most would think he was much younger than his actual yrs) and he does NOT take the time in an interview to note his questions and the answers or he would not be making so many mistakes. His demeanor needs lots of improvement - and I do NOT say this from what he has written about others, but from personal experience. For the most part he is very polite, but he pushes too hard..on specific things. Since I was an old lady I guess he shows me a little respect, because I jumped him about a question or subject he had been told NOT to ask. I immediately reminded him of our agreement and that was the end of it. What do any of bet that this lady FBI media person doesn't know squat about Weber? I expect Bruce thought this and did NOT go there. When the new FBI falls for the Dan Cooper Comic - I knew they didn't have a clue what they were looking for. The average agent was only a baby or in grade school 40 yrs ago. Individuals on this thread know more about Cooper than this media person does. Even dumb old me at the age of 7X knows more about the actual case than she will ever know. This media person is the last one who should be discussing this case unless she knows it backwards and forwards. It was Doug Pasternac who acquired many of the records and some provided by indiviudals who knew of me thru the media and this thread. There are two researcher who remain private who have done a LOT of work which some of you will be privy to in the near future. They have worked with me for several yrs acquiring this information and this was before I ever came to the DZ. This thread has been a wealth of knowledge and researchers like Snowmman and Farflung. The things I received from individuals who went to great efforts to hide their identity - was immensely appreciated. It is a sad world when the FBI for whatever reason could not or would not provide a widow with information on her spouse she had no other way to access...that she had to acquire what information she obtained from other sources. I actually believe had I have had the money and means and Snowmman and FarFlung at my side in 1996 that this case would have been closed by 1998...while there was still a trail to follow. Yes in almost every post, and WHY I have agreed to take one. I had told him repeatedly it was of no value, but he has been unrelenting in this "Take a polygraph" thing. Now that I agree to take one - he wants it on his terms and in public (he KNOWS I do not allow pictures of me taken and that I have stayed OUT of the public since 2001). Why would or should I make a public spectacle out of myself at a symposium he already knows I cannot attend. All he wants to do is continue to harass me and I do NOT understand why he does this. Yes, I agree I am tired of it and only one of the reasons I am going to do a polygraph. The cost is very expernsive, therefore when it is done - it is for my benefit and for the benefit of my family and friends and those who know me personally and have worked with me on this for several yrs. The FBI is also to be included. Since I have NOTHING to hide and consider this a waste of resources - the cost will have to be bore at least particially by the interested parties. By interested parties - I do not mean someone who has attacked me and made my life a living hell for several yrs. I feel the test will not prove anything at this late of date and after 15 yrs of playing with theories and my constant search into Duane's past. When a person believes something is true - the question have to be carefully constructed. Today if I was asked if my name was X X X. I would have to answer NO. With a yes I would not past because I was informed by DVD X X X is NOT my name. Now figure that out - I have lived as X X X for 32 yrs and according to the authorities will have to legally change my name...to X X X. Jerry is right, it has no value if you know exactly what will be asked and how you carefully phrase both questions and answers!! In any case a polygraph does NOT distinguish between fact and non-fact; it distinguishes between what (most people) believe to be the truth and what they believe to be lies. So if a polygraph test asks Jo, "Was Duane Cooper?" her "yes" answer will probably come up as truthful. This doesn't mean Duane was Cooper, it just means that Jo believes he was. 377 will know better, but I presume this is one of the reasons polygraphs are not admissible in court, another being that a well-rehearsed person can beat it. I must say though this sudden turnaround on the lie detector test, qualified as it may be, is interesting. Does this mean all Jo's other "evidence" has once again crumbled to dust? In other news, most of the 3 pages I missed since last check are just blah-blah-blah...FFS... Orange, HOW many posts has Jerry bagered and bagered me about a lie detector? I agree to get one to SHUT him up. I have stated many many times that a lie detector test will prove little at this late date and would Not prove I was lieing as Jerry states over and over repetitively. You could NOT establish you claimes either. Same with KC. No one saw KC's money and you have shown NO evidence (we have just as much as you have - with TAX records and the fact Duane spent LOTS of money he could NOT support over the yrs after the crime. We (everyone in this thread) has tried to explaine to you that KC's paper trail is NOT out of the normal for those time periods. The FBI interivewed the ex-wife and supposedly the stepdaughter - the FBI alerted them and also scared them. The ex-wife actually went to someone when she and Duane spit to discuss this - she asked a generalized question. "What would happen to her if she reported a crime (one in which some of the proceeds she benefited from). She only revealed the person was a former law enforcement person and I think a relative. She never discussed this again. She sent me the photos of her with the glasses and the cars. She also at the same time sent the photo of him taken in 1970 with a tie and clip. She told me things then I did not "get" regarding those 3 yrs - before and after the crime. Others the FBI did NOT interview or even try to find - as what information I had was skimpy of his life prior to 1976. Hey, I know that, but I am just trying to satisfy you know who and anyone else that "thinks" a polygraph is of any use at this late of date. I was willing to do one for the FBI in 1996, but they did NOT ask for one because of the obvious things which you re-interated for me. I have repeatedly stated the same thing about Weber and other suspects - including your own. NO one has any proof and NO one is going to get any proof until the FBI does some backtracking and now the trail is cold it is doubtful anything can be found that says - this Person was Cooper. The thing with KC is that he had NO real motive. NONE. His income was NOT inadequate for the times. Nor does he look like the composites...NOT one soul ever said that Cooper was balding and that is very important and KC had hazel eyes. You dug up some "witnesses" but not one of those "witnesses" has be given a polygraph and NOT one of those "witnesses" actually witnessed anything that could prove KC was Cooper.
