Robert I think the whole picture was just a fluke. If the newpaper you claim can be enhance to show a story about Cooper - then it shows that this was staged as a joke. Obviously if he was REALLY Cooper he would have used actual objects (briefcase, a laundry bag which would have looked more like a money bag and and the sunglasses and perhaps a chute or parts of a chute). He would have shown something in that photo that SCREAMED "I am D.B.Cooper". Did you ever determine what kind of camera the photo was taken with. If it was developed at the local drug store - someone would have turned it in if there was any indication KC was Cooper. If it was a polaroid, then the above statement is not valid. Kenny did NOT confess and he was local (that alone says a lot). Kenny was a jokester from what I gather just looking at a party pic the brother sent me. Kenny liked good times and jokes. He looks like to me he just got home off a trip with his case and had a department store bag in his hand. If he had a lay-over and time on his hands - (the mall was the place to go). I assume he was like a stewardess of sorts. Never understood what he actually did on the flights. If his brother Lyle really believed KC was Cooper why didn't he approach the FBI first instead of a movie producer or P.I.? Not sure I remember - but when Kenny approached Porteous had he not already contacted a movie producer or a book writer? Lyles own actions indicate he did NOT actually believe his brother was Cooper - but curious. In comparision I called the FBI same night I understood what Duane had told me. That was the night I learned that DAN COOOPER was D.B. Cooper and until that night the things he said and showed me and told me - just made no sense. By comparision I left the situation in the hands of the FBI until - an FBI told me things on the phone that were contradictive to my research and that of Doug Pasternac. I was holding in my own hands...the McNeil Prison file and the Army record. I will never forget what the agent told me that day (THE serial number in the ARMY belonged to a WAVY GREENE). Things I have found since that time - are more of an indication the FBI has NOT been straight with me and that there was more to Weber than what I have been told. Curious! I just remembered that we had a Mr. Green who posted here and I exchanged some personal emails with him. He had an interesting story - BUT NOW it seems to be a little more important....since the FBI told me Duane's Army Serial number belonged to WAVY GREEN. I so NOT understand why they continue to HASH the weather as everyone knows the Weather was NOT the same from Seattle to Portland and there were breaks in this front. If the WEATHER was so bad Cooper could not jump I doubt the plane would even have taken off. After all they wanted Cooper OFF of that plane...not for him to stay on it because of bad weather. I have absolutely NO technical answers - what I have said above is just plain common sense. Individuals who heard the plane and some who claimed to have seen it - did NOT describe the weather as windy and stormy. I have been told - breaks in the cloud levels - but the weather was NOT bad on the ground. One I spoke to heard the sound and rushed outside thinking it was a plane in trouble...this person had 3 other individual with him. This was North of Heisson. Another report came from the Cougar area, but the sound was NOT overhead. This individual heard the plane and the FBI told the individual what she heard was search planes. Having been a resident of military areas as I have - she knew the sound of the chase planes versus the 727. NO way would I confuse the sound of the large jets with the sound of the smaller faster search planes. This person could NOT see the plane, but the sound was coming from the West of her location - which would put the flight in the path the FBI orginally proclaimed. I do NOT know how to do overlays of routes, but I know that when the thread started to shift the route South per the minutes - they did the wrong thing. Witness accounts put the plane a little more to the East at almost every point. Shift the route you guys provided up just a little and the points of eyewitness accounts is on target. Perhaps this is just a laymans view, but also someone who has lived under and around major airports - such as Denver and Atlanta....not to even mention all of the military areas.

Although nothing I say matters, but speaking as a Whuffo (a non-jumper), I would have known I had to clear the plane. He had enough exposure to know he had to do so many counts before pulling and since Duane told me about Ms 1,2,3 counts I will assume he did this. Anyone ever question why the old military jumpers used this? At least Georger and 377 continue to treat me in a civil matter and my replies will be condensed to answer the inflammatory questions by only making replies to them. JT has consistently bragged to me about his IQ and claimed secretaries did his bidding and not necessary he learn formal means of communications. He claimed to have attended a VERY high ranking University. . Per his posts and lack of communication skills, I dare say he would ever have been accepted at this university. One should NOT call another person repeatedly a liar when he himself is quilty of some deliberate enormously erroneous information. I noted his Braggart post above and his mention of the university and formal educational level and his IQ level he bragged about to me. Maybe his parents were rich enough to by his entry? I will be leaving the thread in the near future, but NOT because JT demands I leave, but on my own terms unless Quade finds reason to ban me prior to my own set time frame. I came to the DZ for aid and assistance yrs ago and it has been an excellent source. As of recent - the postings of actual jumpers in the DZ seems to be ignored and overwhelmed by the Cooper seekers. The non-jumpers refuse to listen to the voice of reason within the many yrs of experience by those who are and have been jumpers in the 'day'. The majority of jumpers from the Cooper era have deceased or do not communicate by computer. There are still those guys like Guru and Airtwardo and 377 and others who seem to be voices of reason. Old Timer smoke jumpers and WW11 are hard to find - from the late 40's & 60's. We are talking 40's/60's training in jumping and the era of Paperlegs Petersen. There are still viable participants of the late 60's who covet their retirement and have allegiance. Has anyone spoke to Zinstrom or even know if he is still alive? What happened to Fiesty? Note those who know about jumping from 1945 ot 1960, few are posting in a thread. Most who are posting are civilan jumper's and not old military (Guys, I know a few of you are still there, but I have to make a point to the Cooper seekers). Most of the Cooper seekers do NOT want to hear the voices of reason the old jumpers keep trying explain. Suggest JT take in consideration individuals I have talked to over the yr - individuals who never gave JT the time of day much less listen to his gibberish and accusations. It would indeed be wonderful to have had an old timer jumper with me or by my side when I communciated with such individuals as Jerry Helm and others. Jo, Why don't you set an example by posting your qualifications, your IQ (including your Mensa membership number if applicable), certificates, academic degrees, your annual salary (since you have never had a service rank), all test scores on any and every subject, and any proveable credentials. Your entire second paragraph above is laughable. Did you acquire this information by osmosis? Finally, what is there in your background that you feel qualifies you to evaluate the credentials of Jerry or anyone else on any subject? Jerry always has to get the last word in - but, he won't get the last word on this. He has called me a liar, yet how many time has he been publically denouced for his lies? How many stories have been told about Jerry and can anyone actual list his credits, military and educational levels? Anyone who was actually a respected military retiree would NOT continually attack someone with beliefs that are different from his. Jerry forgets that I live in a community of 5 military bases....his actions and BRAGGART position are NOT viewed well by others. Jerry is being asked to post his educational levels (IQ & Universities - seems he has bragged about a very high collegiate university in his past). He is also requested to post all of the service ranks and testing scores and provable Military Credentials along with the dates served and his actual rank.. What happened Jerry did I hit a nerve. You didn't know I had talked extensively with the ex did you or her children - YOU had no idea that my research was so involved. What are you afraid of Jerry - does a little old woman scare you? Since I do NOT lie - I am tired of being called a Liar and you have been asked nicely in the past to stop you inflamatory posting about me. Because you do not think Weber was Cooper does NOT mean that others do NOT have serious doubts. 3. The FBI did screw up the investigation of Duane L. Weber as there is far more evidence he was involved than you even fathom - you cannot tell me where Duane was - and like the FBI it is a kiss-off answer. 4. One of my husbands? Duane died after 17yrs of polycistic Kidney disease and my last husband died after 7 yrs of lung cancer. If the FBI really wanted to the JOB - they would have tested the cords cut and left on the plane - surely not that many people have handled those cords even in packing. The FBI has an excuse for everything. TEST THE CORDS - we know COOPER touched those. Surely if Cooper's DNA was on that tie - then test the cords and see if the same DNA comes up. How many skyjackings occurred after Cooper jumped? How fast where those planes going? Others jumped from similar or the same kind of plane after Cooper did and survived...and YOU do NOT know if Cooper had training or NOT. There are too many missing yrs in the life of Duane Weber (1962 to 1966) - DO you know where he was all of that time? Do you know who he worked for during that time frame? When you can answer those question without fault and with employment records, then & only then you can remake your lousy statement and until then tread softly! You realize this makes no sense; right? Quade, It is senseless to argue with Knoss. I have black and white copies of the PLANTED emails I sent to him with copies to Doug Pasternak - Doug was informed what was BAIT and knew what WAS real. This was done because Knoss did a good SNOW job, but feeding him deliberate false information and then later his CREATING characters and events - was very revealing. In other words he never passed the TRUTH tests. These email are in black and white - and upfront. This was on the 1st computer I had and I did NOT know how to save emails, so I made black and white copies. I have several 4 inch thick notebooks with these emails in them. Anyone wanting to scan them or copy them is invited to do so. Anyone wanting to discuss this with Doug should contact him. Reading those emails and notes from the phone conversations is very very revealing. Knoss created his characters 2 and 3 and sometimes 5 months after I initially introduced a name known to Weber and myself. Knoss denies knowing such an individual - he CREATES this individual later on swearing up and down that McCoy was Tommy Gunn was calling him on the phone. My connection with Knoss damaged the case regarding Weber. Probably why the FBI decided to drop Weber as a suspect. Knoss has made himself such a nusiance that the Co-pilot had to refrain from making charges against the man. Knoss has harassed the Co-pilot, his brother and his son. In my communications with the Co-pilot - I derived the only reason he did not do so was he felt sorry for the man. Knoss did some framing work for the Co-pilot's brother and as far as I know this is Knosses only connection to the Co-pilot. Mr. Rat seems like a very nice and honest and caring person. I value the few conversations he and I have had over the yrs and wish he and his wife the best concerning all they have dealt with past and present. Knoss and some journalist have been the biggest headaches of all. The Co-pilot is an extremely polite person and I do hope that one day I can meet him and his wife - but, time has taken its toll on the crew and those of us who have strived for the truth and to stay out of the lime light hoping and waiting for the FBI to close this case. Cooper did survive! McCoy was NOT Tommy Gunn. Tommy was a real person who lived in x and died in x and owned property in x and had a business in X. Wonder if the FBI ever questioned Mr. Gunn or at least investigated Mr. Gunn's past. He did have a past with Weber and it was not as Richard McCoy. Mr. Gunn was about the same age as Weber - why it was EASY to pick Knoss apart. Geoffry Gray was taken by Knoss, because he was looking for sensationalism and Knoss provided that. A knot equals what in miles? l.5 miles. The plane was traveling just above stall speed. I am just a dumb broad, but others can jump from planes going faster than the 727, then Cooper succeeded in jumping Nov. 24, 1971 and he landed and he lived. Have you read ANYTHING about the other successful skyjackings? I have to agree with statements by professional jumpers on this thread - you sound like a whuffo and I am not saying that as NICELY as the others did. I, Jo Weber has never stated how Cooper landed or if he landed in a tree or not. Jo Weber, myself and I was NOT there and Duane L. Weber did NOT tell her which is ME anything about a landing in a jump. The only thing he said was when I asked him how he hurt his leg as I was putting on his long johns to take him to the hospital. His statement was "I got it jumping out of a plane". Thank heavens I was already on the floor or I would have been on the floor laughing if he had been well. I only replied to him "You jump out of plane - gimme a break". Of course he would tell me 2 wks later after ceasing diaylsis "I'm Dan Coooper"...and then 11 days later he died. In my stress & grief, I did not connect the two statements. Guys this is what I mean when I state something - someone else twists and turns it. This is an example of why I have not allowed someone to write the story about Duane Weber and Dan Cooper...plus who wants to join the wanna-bees. Just mosing along and listening to YOU guys. Of course, I did NOT take that survey, but all of you know what I would have said. I know Cooper survived - and if not an accomplice buried him six feet under...perhaps along with the chute. If there was a homing device in Cooper's briefcase or inside of a special homemade belt around his middle - Cooper's destination was known...to an accomplice if indeed there was one. Not one of you have addressed the fact that Cooper's build was expressed as "compact". Have any of you even thought about what that meant? Muscular or unusual type of build or something else? Blevins, ALL of this has been discussed. He worked at the Rodeway Inn just out side of the airport gates. It is now a Red Lion and has change, but not that much. It still has the covered area going NOT to a piano bar as it did in 1971, but to a sports bar with a restaurant next door. I stayed there my first night in Portland in 2010 and then I stayed there the Night before I left for home 15 days later - standing under that covered area calling the Portland FBI to let them Know MsCooper had been there. I thought that rather symbolic as an after thought - but did not think that way until this moment as I typed this. There was NO need to check it out - supposedly the FBI did that. He had a wife who backs him up today even though he remarried twice since then and has a child by the last one. Another person has interviewed her to check out her story - regarding what she remembered him saying back 40 yrs ago when he got home after the FBI interviewed him. This interview was conducted when he reported to work either the next day or the day after that....I am not sure of which day it was....memories of us old folks does dull with time. The man who is tall himself knew the guy who checked in was almost as tall as he was. The guy asked for a late check out - and he was under the impression there was someone with him (he thought a woman as there was one over in the shadows away from the check-out). If his story is true then the entry has NOT changed that much. There is a still a sitting area away from the front desk and out of site. At any rate he did NOT know how they arrived and again if this arrangement has not changed then this would still be the case as I parked away from the entry to check in. How can anyone woman be call a liar by JT as many times as I have and still be sane. My story has been basically the same for 16 yrs and 8 months. I will repeat this until someone gets what I am saying. JT has been the sole reason Duane was NOT investigated the way he should have been....as with others he claims all of this buddy buddy stuff with the FBI. I promise you, anything anyone tells JT does NOT get to the FBI and if it does it will in NO WAY resemble what the person told to him. Smokin99, I tried to play by the rule of the law as I know it. Perhaps I should have told the Night Clerk to go talk to the media - but we thought the right thing to do was tell the FBI and do it the right way. Seems like doing things the RIGHT does not work in this Government today. Nothing is like it was in my day and Duane's day. The FBI had the man's name - and his contact- WHY didn't they do THEIR JOB? Who is going to believe a F----- thing I say. The FBI did NOT interview the man in Mobile and now he is dead, but he would not have talked to them, BUT they did NOT even check that man out. Now he is dead. They did NOT question or investigate what the wife of the day said - they just took her word with absolutely NO proof he was with her and yet, her OWN children said he wasn't with them on Thanksgiving of 1971. Of the 2 children living with them at the time - ONE is Dead (after telling me she knew Duane was Cooper). OD'd 2003. The other was only approx 8 yrs old, but he remembered things about his Mom and his Stepdad. His life is messed up enough as it is. He will never talk to the media. He just wants to try to sort his life out and does not want the world to know the things he has been exposed to...after all he did love his Mom regardless of what she was or was not. There were 2 older boys but the last they were around Duane was in 1969 and the oldest one was gone before that. Both lived in WA state in 1971????????? That part I do NOT understand and the Mom told me she had never been to WA and yet another time she admitted seeing one the boys in WA. As she always said just like Clara "We all have a little larcency in our hearts." For those who do NOT know, Clara was the character in Max Gunther's Book. D.B.COOPER What Really Happened. Max and I really felt that the Ex was Clara. The timing of the contact was dead on. I played a recording of her voice and he was sure it was Clara. He wanted her contact information as he was going to CA because they were going to do a movie of one of his books. (as he put it - paying him money he did NOT need). I have the letter he wrote after he got back - he never told me what transpired in CA that yr or if he contacted her. I would have to pull the letter to tell you what he did say - it was OUR last communication after he got back for CA. I wish Max had been around to finish what he started. Yes, I know that at one point one has to let go - I just do not know how. I don't want to expose myself to the media, but I also don't want to leave it up to others to screw up after I am gone. (like JT) As for allowing Bruce to interview the Night Clerk - I would rather the FBI really talk to him, but now they would have to go to CHINA or fly him and his new wife and child back to the states. Before he was in a rather remote area of China and he talked on Skype. Do Not know what he uses now. There was always such an echo and I worried about his spending money to call. The FBI had him in the States for about 6 months and all they did was 2 very short phone calls and did not do a face to face. I just hate to be the one to bare the dirty linens and I worry about how this affects the lives of others. Some individuals treasure the privacy of their lives and how people view them. I know the truths if all were revealed would destroy more than one life. I don't think a couple of those living could deal with the emotional stress of telling what they knew about Weber. The damage to others might be greater than I could live with and yet it has destroyed what was left of me. Perhaps it will be my burden to bear - if others do not want to do their part. I think the Truth is the right thing to do - but I have to look at the COST to all concerned. I kept hoping the FBI would do what was right and actually talk to these people, but they did NOT even try to find them....there were 4 and then there was 2 living. Of the others there was 4 and now there are none. Everyone of these individuals were alive in 1996 when I contacted the FBI and now there is only me and 2 who will not talk and 2 I could never find, but they knew about me or I assume they did. In the household Duane was a part of prior to 1971 was 2 military guys and both were stationed in WA in 1971. So why did the FBI not make an effort to see what they knew even though they didn't live with Weber in 1970 or 1771. One of these individuals was Special Forces! Why did the FBI not insist on interviewing these young men in 1997 - QUESTION this ONE in your own mind and then MAKE your decisions - WHAT would you DO? I can give the FBI names, but not locations - that is their job. I could not afford to find them and go see them and I wasn't sure how to talk to them. This was supposed to be the job of the FBI. They knew about the family! Why didn't they go talk to them and support the story told to them by another member of the family???????Now 17 yrs later they probably would not as they probably would not have said anything in 1997 - because they would NOT want to hurt someone another party. Regardless of how bad a person is or who they were or what they did someone at one time loved them. Even I felt there was NO need in exposing the person - because I knew not the real person or if what I knew was a front...or perhaps toying with me. I felt it was the job of the FBI to investigate and expose - NOT me, Who was I? How was I to confront these individuals? Yet, I confronted the one who scared me the most - Tommy. Really? What would you call it. The take the word of an 8 yr old versus a woman in 1979 who was 40. The refused from 2001 until I made it known on this thread to interview the Night Clerk. Why did they ignore this man in 2001. Even the writer for the Oregonian knew who he was - as she was the one who put us intouch with each other. The FBI did not acknowledge him. His wife of the time from whom he is divorced stands behind what he originally told me. She now does NOT remember much of it - the two were still married I believe when he contacted me the first time. I keep in touch with her about one time yr and the same with him. The FBI according to Blevins did NOT investigate KC at all. I think it has been the changing of the guard that caused them to miss things on Duane. IF the FBI knows where Duane Weber was on Nov 24, 1971 - why haven't they made that public as a disclaimer or at least have told me what they have...so I could have moved on. This is why I do NOT think they have been able to RULE Weber out - if they could WHY have the strung his widow on for 17yrs. Evidently the FBI had it doubts about Cooper when in 2003 the called to collect his DNA. A little late since I first contacted them in 1996. I USED to be Ms Clean and I doubt there was any DNA on those items, but I gave them what I could but NOT his pipe and his watch. When I remarried in 2002 - I had to get rid of most things I had of Duane out of respect for my new husband. What I did keep I put in a suitcase and put in the attic - my new husband had NO idea what was in that old suitcase and he never asked (I think he knew it was some of the things of Duane's that I held onto). I even put the pictures of Duane away out of respect. I did what research I did at work or after my husband went to sleep. He knew and only one time said anything about it - that was during the last yr of his life. I do regret I did NOT give my last husband ALL of me. That was not fair to him. Please provide me with a link to this thread - I keep having to sign in and out - I keep loosing the site. I believe the Clerk will talk to someone privately that he knows I can trust - but NOT in an open thread. He does NOT view the thread because he tries NOT to contaminate his memory. I have never met him but saw the video he willing made..so nothing could get lost. He looks as lost as I do when being interviewed. I am NOT a media HOG or is he - we just genuinely want the FBI to really look at what they have missed - and how many agents dropped the ball. Other wise if the FBI keeps on with this Marla Frenzy - this is the kind of thing that STOPS honest people like myself and this night Clerk from come forward....we are dismissed almost immediately. WHY I really BELIEVE the FBI does NOT want this case CLOSE and that something is really really wrong. The FBI feeds the Cover-up theories and the hoaxers. About 3 yrs ago when he was in the States - my guys interviewed him and did a video. His story was close, but not exactly as he orginally told me on that first contact.....several yrs of being contaminated by me and things in the media. 2001 - to 2009 and now 2 yrs later. What the FBI had done in their negligence to properly interview a witness in a timely manner regarding a suspect in the Cooper Incident is beyond belief. The Night Clerkl contacted me with a message. AS ALL of you know and the FBI should KNOW - this Night Clerk came forward from an article ran in the Oregonian in 2001. THE FBI DID NOT CONTACT HIM - until I cornered AGENT CARR about this on the forum. Then when he did contact the night clerk while he was in the STATE for a few months - it was a phone call before he went to Surgery and then another after surgery. Carr did NOT ask him any questions and CLAIMED to have looked for the Hotel Registration in the files. That File would have been in the Oregon file and not in WA.?????!!!!! NO one made a personal interview with this witness nor did they check him out. Weber lived as John Collins from 1962 to 1968 and that he knew PAPERLEGS PETERSON. - who headed up Intermountain Communications.I know Duane had the know how and the expertise to have devised and use some kind of radio signal - or homing device so the jumper and an accomplice could find each other. Do NOT any of you remember the conversations we had. I am not going back to find them but they are in this thread. The Walkie Talkie was posed by me long long before I discussed it in the thread. Perahaps back on 101 or Unsolved Mysteries. I definitely discussed this with Mr. H and also with a step-daughter who was about 16 or 17 back then. There was also a boy of about 8 or 9 ---who remembered suitcases and a duffle bag full of furs and jewerly. His own mind told him this was not right - but this was his mother and the only father image he had. Their participation in many activities was NOT right to say the least. What they were exposed to was NOT right, but it is what it is. This thread now seems like a total waste of time. Everyone claiming he was the first one to discuss this or that To Hell with the Dan Cooper Comics - they had NOTHING to do with D.B.Cooper and the man who made that jump. C.B.'s and walkie talkies have been discussed by me almost from get go. The FBI did NOT ask the ex-wife or the stepchildren about these things - NOT one WORD! Duane obviously had lots of experience with white-outs and snow, ice and communications. I did NOT know how to ice skate in 1978 (nor now). Even my daughter remembers when he took us skating in Denver. The first time either of us ever had on ice skates and Duane just takes off showing off. I asked him when he learned to ice skate I do NOT remember his answer. I just know he knew what he was doing on skates. It was nothing fancy just forward and turns and trying to support both my daughter and I while we learn to keep our balance. Silly ole me. I thought it was 377 who came up with the walkie-talkie idea. And Snow who came up with the Dan Cooper comic. And SA Carr who linked it to Cooper, hypothetically. I didnt think you had been born yet! News for both of YOU: Walkie Talkie came from a phone conversation. The information was provided by the ex-wife in a phone conversation with me in 1998 or 1999. Quiet often she had a little too much to drink - around 1998 or 1999 or 2000 she told me about their trips to FL. I had already learned of Duane's extensive criminal background and asked how much of it she knew - she knew it ALL...and yet, she claimed to the FBI she knew nothing. It was the ex who 1st brought Walkie Talkies into the incident, but by telling me about how THEY used them on the beach when he was being a BAD boy. She always maintained she left him in Nov of 1971 and he called and asked her to come back around Feb of 1972. YET both Duane and the ex told me about NY and New Yrs. THERE was only ONE yr they could have spent New Yrs Eve in N.Y. P.S. Duane told me about he and the ex having talkie talkies, but I didn't know the purpose of them, until she told me.
