Definitely not much that others have not done. Snowmman was doing a lot of sites and using mulitple band space so that was probably one reason Quade ousted him. He had good manners (most of the time) and was never rude to anyone - just flooded the thread with lots and lots of relevant information and lots and lots of trivia that was unrelated. That man could find things NO ONE ELSE could. No one knows how Sluggo is or if he is still even alive. His site has not been updated at all - at least the last time (about a yr ago) I checked. Sluggo had a lot of health problems and I often wonder if he is still alive and if so how he is doing health wise. Would be nice if someone up-dated us on the status of Snowmman and Sluggo. NOT what the Photo ID program used in the Casinos in 2000 told someone acting on my behalf. How am I supposed to check this out without his SS number or his personal information which has been withheld from me for yrs and who would I have check it out? Your CALL. If you think SMARTY PANTS you can do better I will provide you with his last address and birthdate and date of death - that is ALL I have. The birthdate would be on the census report and the old address I have. The death can be checked out since he died after 2004 when I was out there to see him. If you think you can obtain his employment records and status with that information HAVE AT IT. The only surviving relative will NOT provide me with one IOTA. Lisinopril & Metformin ? No older than that - seems like it started with an A I went looking a moment ago to on case thought maybe I had some glasses, but if I did I would have given them to the FBI because they would have been a great source of DNA. Pretty sure I donated them before I found out who Dan Cooper was. I did find something in this bag I had forgot about. Been a long long time since I went back that far. These were things in his jewelry case - but no all of them. The knifes and Pyramid pen, some pearl cufflinks and tie tac (no not like Cooper's). One item I never knew what it was and have never asked anyone. A pin the size of tha nickel with a wreath on both sides going up and the do NOT meet as the top and there is a Vshape on the top as a result of the wreath not meeting. 33 in bold blue letters. They are blazoned over the letter M and beneath that is the date 1946. Also in this bag is another item I do no have a clue about. It is a dressy silver case (looks more like something a woman would carry). Shaped like a lighter but empty (like perhaps a match keeper). On the outside is a monument large sweeping base and goes up like a tower. Gets narrow and then another segment goes up and gets narrow with windows or arches in it. The top of the tower appears to have something resembling a torch with a lookout. Don't have a clue. Perhaps a match keeper with striker. Geeze, what I find when I dig into some of this stuff - not was I was looking for but interesting enough to describe. There was a man by the name of Phil Harris who was younger than Duane and Duane asked about his father who lived in the Spokane area. The father would have been Duane' age. The Phill Harris I am speaking of was maybe 42 and had moved back to WA....There is a letter he wrote to Duane in the file. Oh, well too late to look for scripts and God Forbid where they are in all of this crap. The FBI may have taken them. Just insignificat stuff! Jo was Duane diabetic? What meds was he on when you married him? Any persistence low grade problems: muscle aches, thirsty, headaches, sore throat, cough, sweating, foot problems, ... anything like that? Also, he doesnt appear to have worn glasses when young - do you know? Duane was NOT diabetic and the only thing he took was a mild blood pressure med. I don't remember the name right now. It was a very common drug and then he had to take another drug commonly adminstered with the blood pressure pills. He was very normal outside of the kidney problem and I made sure he got no salt and during the last few yrs he stopped drinking. He was very displined in his diet restrictions those last 5 yrs. Sore throats and sweats or cough - NONE. Headaches - he never complained about any. Foot problems - none. He did on occassion take some qout medications but, not on a regular basis. Gout I alway thought was foot or toe, but I take qout medication occassionally...it is given now for other joint pains. Old medication been around for ages. His feet did not swell and he did not limp. Sure he had one hip lower than the other, but it was not noticeable - I was the one who tailored his pants. Of course he had no ASS at all and that just exaggerated the hip. The picture I have of him on the beach in 1969 (I think) he looks pretty damn good. I believe I have posted that one. He did NOT wear glasses when he was young. The first picture I saw of him with glasses was 1968 per the date on the pic and she told me it was when he was released from Jefferson. Perhaps he started wearing glasses in Jefferson, but I don't know. There was a pic the FBI used showing him wearing glasses, but they never gave a source or a date for that picture. Back when we discussed the glasses a few yrs ago - I had 2 of his old scripts, but I doubt I even know where to look anymore. Those scripts would have been during his last yrs. What do you NOT understand by that statement. At home is the same as in the cabin of a plane? WHAT do you not understand - why don't you make a trip and view the family albums! I don't recall you asking if Duane was even a smoker. Of course he was - but, he was never a heavy smoker. Neither of smoked much unless we were out. I do not have but one picture of myself in all of these yrs smoking. That is NOT unusual at all. Yes, Duane had lighters! I even gave him a sterling silver zippo with his initials on it which I have. That one was hardly used and his old ones went out with the goodwill or trash after he died. Remember I did NOT know who DAN COOPER was until 1 yr and 2 month after he died. When the FBI contacted me for DNA was in 2003 - and I had remarried - just how much stuff do you think I could keep in a suitcase in the attic? What I gave them were things I gave him that last Christmas - do not even know if he tried them on. Plus some of it tried on at a garage sale. Duane DID not talk about his past - what I know about his past was in 3rd person - WHAT do you not understand about that? The rest I have learned thru research and making lots of expensive phone calls over the last 18 yrs and what Doug was able to find. The FBI has NOT been of any help at all. What Carr posted in this thread was erroneous and I had more than he did. He never shared the file with me. THE FBI has been very very CLOSED mouth about Weber. Duane was never a chatter box. DID I say it tied him to being Cooper? No, I was just replying to 377's post. As for the robbery in 1990. I can't remember if I asked the woman if they filed a report. I was more interested in how my husband got a drivers license using her husband's name and their address...but, with Duane's picture on it. At that time I didn't read the receipt showing the date and the license being a duplicate (obviously the FBI didn't either). Since the FBI made copies of the stuff in the wallet - one would assume they also noted it. I just assumed it was a receipt, but didn't examine the dates as the FBI probably didn't either. Since Nothing of value was taken - they may not have made a report. I don't remember. Whatever she told me I am sure I told to Himmelsbach and expected him to share it with the FBI - of course, he didn't, but I thought the sun rose and set with with Mr. H at that time. Duane wore glasses and I used to have all of his old glasses until I donated them. Far sighted is NOT near sighted and the old lenses were thick - not like the new stuff today. He did NOT seem to have a problem reading and didn't wear them to watch TV. Driving he needed them for depth perception. When I first met him he did NOT wear his glasses hardly at all...which I can demonstrate with family photos and Christmas photos and office photos. I was able to do without my glasses to read and still do not use my glasses to read or do the computer, but I would NOT drive without them - but I am near sighted. Duane functioned very well at home without his glasses and wore bifocals and trifocal later in life. Eyesight changes - discuss this with someone who knows more than I do... At one time I presented one of Duane's scripts and was told that he would have had NO problems at home except to read and he probably had to hold reading material out from his body...this was correct. In a plane Cabin it would have been the same as being in the house and no glasses needed. Distance judgement comes when you are driving....be it farsighted or nearsighted. NO NO you don't get it. He stole receipts of something to prove residency and then he goes to the DMV claiming he is that John Collins on the receipts and lived at that address. He claims he lost his drivers license and needs to get a duplicate. The duplicate is issued with Duane's picture on it in 1990. The 1988 license belonged to the REAL John Collins. So he left the ESCAMBIA DMV with a valid license with his picture on it. The original license was issued in 1988 and expired in 1992, but the one Duane had was the replacement of this supposedly lost drivers license. I expect you are still NOT getting it! He went to great risks to get that damn drivers license with the name John C. Collins on it. When I contacted the REAL John Collins I got his wife who told me they had a break in - in 1990 but nothing seemed to have been taken - RIGHT because ALL Duane needed was utility reciepts with an address on it and perhaps a birth certificate or an old expired driver's license with John C. Collins on it and he had a SS with John C. Collins on it. Yrs later I got hold of the man but he was a senior himself and did NOT remember this. The FBI never checked into this. Perhaps I should CLARIFY that - Duane had NO enemies during OUR marriage and during the time I knew him he had only one person who spoke ill of him. One former wife had nothing kind to say about him. If the things she told me were true then I can understand, but I did not meet him until 1977 AFTER he had divorced her. This is what I told by an individual very close to Duane Weber for many yrs. Since most of what I was told has turned out to be true then the FBI is the only one who has access to theft records that might verify this. The only way to know this for fact would be to see the written reports made by the victims. Surely someone noticed he left money on the dresser in the room - so they would be able to buy food for their kids and themselves until arrangements could be made for access to other monies. IN OTHER words he alway left some money - he didn't leave with everything. Well, you will loose that BET! Find some of his victims - especially those in resort areas with families on vacations. If the source was telling the truth then I expect you might find some kind or report regarding thefts where the victims claimed the robber did NOT take everything and left some cash. One does NOT miss a 20 laying on the dresser after a room is robbed and their wallet and credit cards GONE. A 20 dollar bill in the 60's went a long long way. I expect this was not something he did prior to the 60's as this would have become an aquired soft spot. Knowing Duane as I did and his compassion for xxxx - I believed the story. YOU do NOT get it at all and ALL you are doing is scrambling the facts. YOU HAVE ALL the facts about the Driver's License all screwed up. Duane had an ACTIVE license under Duane L. Weber that was active and valid. BUT in 1990 he tried to get a license UNDER the name of John Collins in addition to the license he had for WEBER. He did NOT have sufficient ID for John Collins in Santa Rosa County. Then he leaves there and goes straight to Escambia Co where he successfuly obtained the John Collins Drivers license. In the mean time the Santa Rosa Co was investigating Duane - because of his ATTEMPT to obtain the John Collins Id there. They ran a check on the VAN and it was registered to me. They knocked on my door the next day and I told them I didn't know were he was. I suspected he was at the SHOP and got into my car and drove directly there. BECAUSE of my name they thought he was MY FATHER. Within moments the 2 policeman and the Highway Patrol walked into the shop . Duane immediately put both hands on the desk. THESE law enforcement like myself did NOT know he had ALREADY obtained the John Collins drivers license the same day he left the Santa Rosa Office. This was NOT known to the FBI and only known to me 2 yrs AFTER I contacted them 1 yr and 2 month after Duane died. You would need to see the receipt and the paperwork to follow this - the FBI has copies of it all...but, they did NOT understand the sequence nor did I until I investigated it myself 2 yrs AFTER the FBI collected the evidence and documents on Duane Weber I had. WHY don't you get in your damn car and come see what I am talking about. THE FBI didn't even see the footsteps Duane had made and how he eluded their knowledge of this. It was only with the RECIEPT that it made sense. It took me a long time to see it myself and when I did and others did - lots of eyebrow were raised, but the FBI never revisited this. Duane need both Weber and Collins active drivers license because he had a safe deposit box in another state unde the John Collins name. That was also told to me by the Brother and to some extent the FBI. He also stole wallets from purses in bars after the woman had a little too much to drink. Yet, his friend (he met in 1973 is still a friend to me to this day). He and his wife have stood solid with me and what I believe and the strange life I had with Duane and his confession. Duane and I even flew from CO to GA for their wedding). Duane touch the hearts people (all who knew him) - this man who we all found out was an excon with 17 yrs in prison. The friends, his employers, myself, my daughter, my family, casual and work aquaintances - no one could believe this man had spent 17 yrs in a prison - much less 5 prisons or more. At first when I told some of them that he had been in prison - NONE of them could believe it. To his best friend, Duane did mention he had something in his past, but never spelled it out. Duane had NO enemies in the yrs I knew him - everyone liked him and he was very generous with his time and money to help others. He was sweet, lovable, generous, kind, loving - I saw nothing of the horrible person I have been told about. Remember Tina called Cooper a "very sad man". Frankly I think that was the turning point. He was desperate and strangely he survived - but he also changed. Was the change out of necessity to keep from being found out or did he really change deep down? Did what happened that night finally awaken in him the man he could be? I cannot explain the fingerprints or the DNA. Was Cooper actually someone who Duane was with and a buddy he cared about. That thought has always been in my mind because of that one thing he said in WA "Maybe I was the one on the ground" 1979, but 11 days before he died he said "I'm Dan Cooper"1995. Twenty-two yrs and the only times that Cooper was mentioned during all of that time. If he had been laying some elaborate story - he would have talked about "other" things - not just those 2 phrases. He tried in the hospital, but I had forgot about the remark he made on the trip. I did NOT know Dan Cooper was D.B. Cooper - my mind just could not wrap around something like that knowing he would be gone in a few days. I don't have the answers, but I do know that if he was not Cooper that he damn sure knew who was - perhaps the other person buried in that old graveyard....and that he may have felt responsible if the skyjacking was his suggestion. Right now I cannot remember the 2 names he mentioned withing a couple of hours of each other - and I have never found the connections between Duane and either of these men - but they both did exist and did live in the area. One in Washougal and the other in Bigg, OR. Coincidence! I know that after the money find in 1980 that Duane quickly exited the area after doing some very unusual things. Excuse me perhaps we are all speaking a DIFFERENT Language here. It was 1990 when Duane obtain a drivers license under John Collins (forget the prior use of that name). Duane had a FL drivers license issued to Duane L. Weber and yet he goes to the same office and requests a drivers license under another name. That was crazy. They refuse and he drives to the next county and gets the license - NOTE 1990! I have the damn receipt of the license and the license itself - bought the day before they went to arrest him at the shop for trying to obtain a license under that name in Santa Rosa on the same day he obtained the one in Escambia. Duane had high cheek bones but his cheeks were NOT PUFFY. Of course he had age lines - what do you think the artist tried to show in the composite? Duane Weber was FAR SIGHTED! Do you know what that means? It means he had NO problem seeing things FAR AWAY - like an EAGLE. Being far sighted meant he could shoot a branch off a tree from quiet a distance. Duane did NOT wear his glass all the time at home. The only problem that far sighted individuals have is judgement upclose of distance. Duane could function very well without his glasses and his drivers license did NOT require he wear glasses. Except maybe in the last few yrs before he died - I would have to look at the old license to see what it says. As for WA and OR - the ONLY time that was mentioned was when we went out there in 1979. There was ONE mention of WA in 1978 - by his friend Ed Hurand. Ed was sick and asked Duane if we could stop by and make a run to the drugstore for him. While Duane was gone I asked Ed where he knew Duane from. He started to talk about helicopters and planes and WA. I commented I never knew Duane was in WA. He realized he had said something he should not and was upset. He didn't just ask - he begged me NOT to mention to Duane what he had said. I promised and I did not ask Duane. Ed had told me that perhaps someday Duane might tell me about those times of his life. Ed is the one whose last name I am uncertain of the spelling. We were at a meeting and I was taking pictures of people - I usually had a camera in my hand. At this meeting - the men all walked away and Ed was refusing to allow me to take a picture of him. Duane spoke to him and then Ed let me take the picture. I asked Duane what he told him - he said he told him it was for our private photo album and no one would ever see it. NO one did until all of the Cooper stuff came up and I was trying to find out what Ed was talking about. Note when I got downstairs I was told NO cameras allowed, but I had already taken some pics upstairs and some of the women. Ed was the ONLY guy whose pic I got. What do you read into those happening of events. It was after this meeting that Duane had to deliver a PACKAGE to an individual I now know had mafia connections. That pic is really bad and shows NO detail at all. Had I not have been told it was Duane I would not have known. It was provided by the exwife and I do not even know when or where it was taken. Perhaps you shoud use a better picture on which to base your judgement of appearance. Like I said - even I would NOT have recognized Duane from that shot had I not been told it was him. Why don't you use one that was taken in 1970. Attached! It is labeled 1971, but it has 1970 written on the back. Was provided by his prior wife. I have included pics some of you have never seen. The last one was made in 1968 and it has the ex-wife on the corner, but the pic is very very poor quality because I had to crop him out of the photo as there were others in the shot. There is another one I have never scanned that the ex sent me that was taken about the same time as the one labeled 1968 - again very low quality and there are others in the photo but I will dig it out of the fire safe on another day. I do not believe the belt or whatever it was his wife made for him was a "shoplifitng vest" as you guys mentioned and Duane never robbed a gas station or convenience store. It is my understanding he wooed women and then left with their valuables. Or he relieved them of valuables after acquiring their room keys left under a beach towel. He specifically said AFT STAIRS and if you remember I questioned him as to what AFT stairs was? This was only 3 or 4 months after we got married and were living in Denver, Co. His explanation of AFT stairs was the first knowledge and only knowledge I had of Duane's criminal past until 12 yrs into the marriage. He said it was the stairs in a jail - he just said he got in some trouble with a couple of guys and spent some time in jail (I assumed county jail and a couple of months and that he was real young). Where the hell do you think Cook hijacked his fingerprint story from - his conversations with me. The FBI never discussed Duane's criminal activities with me so I have no idea other than theft what he was in prison for. At what might be the end of someones life they get just a little smarter. He had screwed up his life and now his future (1971) was bleak and there was NO way out except to do the BIG ONE and if he died then he would not suffer for yrs on the streets and/or the prison system would provide his medical needs to him. Nor has the FBI presented anything to me about John Collins or Duane Weber's records. What other version would I have of Weber other than his conversations with me and what I have learned about him since I called the FBI in 1996. The things I have presented are of course my versions of conversations with him - but I have relayed the conversations as accurately as I could - I have tried to be very honest and forthright. I repeatedly have mentioned the VAN and the fact that I believe there was more in that VAN than what I was told. The man who bought it gave me 2 different versions in less than 10 days. I felt the FBI should have questioned the wife also and have required them to submit to a lie detector test - 2 yrs had lapsed from the purchase of the van and when the FBI went to interview him. It was LOCAL FBI knew very little about Cooper nor did they question why Duane obtained and how he obtained a legal Florida Drivers License under John C. Tommy Gunn Tony Wong Ray Griffin Ex-wife 4 people who knew Duane Weber as John Collins and yet the FBI only spoke to one of them that I am aware of. Tonight has been a bad night. Feel completely helpless and at the mercy of a bunch of Jerks. Tommy Gunn - a man who really existed and not the fictional person Knoss whipped up in his mind, but a real person who owned property and who had an address and was alive when I first contacted the FBI. The man who Duane told me was very dangerous. What was Tommy Gunn's connections to Duane Weber as John Collins 1962 to 1968. What was the camp that Tony Wong and Duane Weber shared in common and why did he know him as John Collins. Ray Griffin a man Duane went to see 2 times during our marriage and both times alone....from what little I know - he also knew Duane as John Collins. Duane had a large 2 carat plus Marquis Diamond ring - I was with him when he bought that ring in the 1980's in St. Thomas. It was NOT stolen. How did he have the money to pay for such a ring? He also bought me a ring at the same time, but not a diamond. The Jewelry store was one of the well knowns in St. Thomas. The records I am seeking will show addresses for Duane from 1943 to 1949 - those missing yrs. The FBI does NOT even know these records exist. This is the only way I can state this so as NOT to reveal the source who refuses to help and this I do not understand. Why did the FBI lie to me about the Army record and the McNeil file. Where they that careless in their investigation of Weber? How much misinformation does the FBI have about Weber or Cooper? "Cooper was a VERY SAD man" was never told to Carr and yet he used this for as his own. Tina told me this - it came from no one else and was never a part of any interview Carr had nor was it part of the official records. Tonight is a very SAD night and I feel completely helpless and this forum has been a waste of time and energy. None of you even listen or try to understand what I have been telling. Yet, you refer to me as not being up front or of creating a "story". I would be pretty damn difficult for anyone of you to be as consistent as I have been for 17 going on 18 yrs. You know why that is? Because I speak from my heart and what I know and what I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears. No one has been where I have been - no one. Things other people state are hearsay or what they conjure up in their minds or plant in the minds of others - I call it Throwing Shit on the Wall. I am the only living soul who can tell this story, but it falls on deaf ears because the public will only be satisfied with some kind of endless mystery - one with no answers. Yea, you are right I am crying my heart out right now and NO I am not delusional nor have I made this up. I have fell into the what-if's as anyone would have after 17 yrs, but I know what is real and what is not. If Duane WAS NOT Cooper he damn sure knew who was, but because of the personal things I witnessesed over the yrs such as the Night Mare and What he told me in the Hospital - there is NO WAY he was making any of it up. He went to great lenghts to protect me from his past - WHY? Yes, I know he loved me, but WHY? WHY did he share with me this secret? WHY? He was trying to tell me who he really was and I was just to naive and uninformed to understand what he was telling me. He knew my character and how I was raise. He knew he would mean spending the rest of his life in a cell - so he had to wait until the end, but I didn't understand what he was trying to tell me. I have PLAYED NO GAME....if the FBI wants me to shut up and to give me my life back - then they NEED to support the CLAIMS they made. JUST exactly WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE in being in this THREAD. You have presented nothing that could bring an end to the Cooper saga - NOTHING! I may not have the degrees nor the abilitiy to do some of the things you and others do, but you nor anyone else has offered an explanation about Weber and you cannot because you never met him nor have you seen the actual files.
