I cannot remember the name of the program and right now I don't care. I have files about how that system was set up and the dates and the facts - it took yrs to get all the states up-to-date. Not all old records were added. I will say for certain that in 1971 - most OLD records were NOT with in the system. The FBI was more interested in getting the violent crimes and recent records into the system - they NEVER did imput some prison records into the system . Some were just too old and had to be manually put into the system because the original file was just that a paper file. If I remember correctly if a record was 30 yrs old it was ignored till a later date and some not at all. No urgency to place records in the system of deceased - that was counter productive for the purpose the system was developed for. In 1995 when Duane died His last conviction was 1966 and that was 29 yrs. The destruction of files as I remember it are if they are over 35 yrs...the paperwork can be destroyed in lieu of a brief note in the Central System. The FBI REFUSED to allow me access to the Jefferson file until the actual files had been destroyed at 35 yrs. THEN Carr says you can get it on the computer - BULL CRAP. For 6 yrs I begged to see that file - but I was NOT the widow of John Collins....they knew exactly what I was after. I begged for that file! WE spent a lot of money trying to get that file BEFORE destruction. The Canon FILE we managed to get just on destruction cusp. It was acquired before the dead line in 1998/99...they had NOT destroyed the file - hence the sign-in and out, plus the extra pictures. The SanQentin/Folsom - file was just a summary - as the back file had already been destroyed. Therefore it was puzzle figuring out the codes left on one page. The McNeil - A woman actually went into the archives to see if the detail files still existed. What she found actually made the System look terrible. They had NEVER verified Weber's birthdate and had his birthdate incorrect by several yrs. The details had been destroyed...but the errors the FBI ignored in their investigation of WEBER screamed that the FAMILY had told me the truth and the FBI did NOT even catch the error of birthdates. The FBI DID NOT look at the system that existed in McNeil during that time at the end of the war. I gave you guys a BRIEF history lesson regarding McNeil a few pages back. Since you guys seem to want to waste time repeating things already discussed and investigated to death - go ahead. Someone within this forum verified that the SYSTEM was NOT all in place in 1971 or 1978. It was into the 80's and still there were flaws and records never entered....and some never would be. I would later receive details involved in the SYSTEM - The Government WANTED to make people think it was further along than it really was - (supposedly a crime deterent for repeat offenders). I guess this worked for Weber - when he skyjacked a plane and as a repeat offender was arrested in 1976 - an offense with his priors that should have put him away for a long time (IF THE SYSTEM HAD WORKED and/or implemented at 100%)! Some of you seem to ignore this - Cooper was Print phobic. Now was this ACTUALLY STATED by a WITNESS or was this just GRAY making a good STORY?Just a story or was this a REAL fact never disclosed to the public? I won't argue the point anymore - because I have been there and done that. I suggest that you guys talk to some of the OLDsters (if you can find any of the from the 60's who developed the program and those later who were responsible for inputing the data). SUGGESTION: Find a 1978 input data person who actually worked these files. The one I found retired in the late 1980's and I was told that some files would never be put into the system. CLASSIFIED and/ or too old or subject DECEASED. THE GOVERNMENT WANTED THE CRIMINALS TO THINK - it was solid and that everything was there - that was propaganda to deter repeat offenders. The STATE OF FLORIDA knew thru the National Print System that WEBER had a felon record! If the STATE OF FL arrests someone today - they check to see if they have a record anywhere. Find the COURT RECORDS? This guy commits a similar crime in 1958 in St. Pete and now it is 1976 and he is back at it....So if they ran him thru the National Print System and if it was Accurate or if Weber was in it - it would have shown all of those arrests and prisons outside of the State of FL. Hell they would have throw the book at him! If the system was fully functional in 1976 - Weber would have gone to jail..... YET, Carr would have us believe the system was FULLY functional in 1968 when Duane was last encarcerated. GIMME A BREAK! NATIONAL FINGER PRINT COMPLIANCE! If those prints were shared outside of the state - they would have known Weber was a several time felon, but obviously that did NOT happen. Duane did NOT go to jail and he did NOT loose his insurance license. It would have been the Duty of the State of Florida to report to the State of GA (where Weber was living) that they had a felon selling insurance. Just Saying- Maybe someone miss this! 1976 Ex-con Carrying a concealed Weapon and Receiving Stolen Property plus a DWI - if the State of FL had seen his criminal file he would have done some time - RIGHT! Evidently his prints WHERE not CROSS CHECKED with the CENTRAL print system - which CARR so flagrantly contested to being in complete compliance in 1971. (It took YRS to make the system to work accurately and for all of the state to become compliant). As Max used to say 'Gottcha'. NO I DO NOT WANT TO ARGUE, BUT SOME OF YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDING HOW CARR SHIFTED POSITIONS. He WRONGLY assumed that DUANE's prints had been updated. THE new system was only put in force in the late 60's and was NOT operational thru out the U.S. Duane WEBER was on the cusp of this change and NO notable crimes were committed after 1968 so they had NO reason to make sure he was within the new system. You are right - from 1942 until his death his prints did NOT change - but in 1942 - MONEY bought a lot of things - and some of that was within the system! I want to see prints made AFTER 1942 and compare them to any other prints made later - such as his prints from San Quentin or Folsom or Canon. What book of fiction did you get that out of? He wasn't very smart was he? Maybe he was just a fall guy! Perhaps it was in one of those books of fiction - I read about Ray changing his prints? Seriously - I have read that Ray changed his prints on some records - just how valid that is, I don't know and I certainly don't feel it is important enough to research. I do know that JEFFERSON had a lot of strange things going on in the 60's - it was VERY CORRUPT! I did a lot of reading about Ray because Duane had told me he knew Ray. Well, Ray was still in Jefferson when Duane entered the Jefferson system. The ex-wife claimed also that she knew Ray and that was yrs after Duane told me! Her story co-incided with his story about Ray. Remember that Jefferson was the only prison Duane ever discussed with me.....because of the kidney machine I tried NOT to ask question - ONLY what he volunteered. I did approach the subject with "What was it like in a prison". During those last 5 yrs I was working a lot of hours with insurance sales and collections. In fact I receive something in the mail last wk. A letter dated 12-18-94 written by Duane Weber to his good friend. The friend thought I might like to have it - he is getting older and like myself not young anymore - so we tend to start to get rid of things we have held onto for yrs. Duane talks about the happiness that this couple brought to anyone around them. Mentions that we were starting to struggle because of his health (the fact the Dr wanted to do a operation and he said no) and how many hours I was working. He tells them about how I got hit by a women after I dropped him off at the Clinic and how much pain I was in...yet continueing to care for him and work. He tells them about all the hours I put in and tells them I am about as much a saleman as he he was a lover! But explains I put in 10 hours everyday. I am too tired to try to straighten it out on a computer. If you want it the way it came down CALL ME! To go back and rehash what I have already stated over and over and the reasons for the MISTAKES the FBI made are futile. I moved forward from that, but that DOES not excuse the FBI for their inability to process information accurately from agent to agent. All I have is WHAT the first agent told me and I CAN PROVE it, but not in a thread. ALSO the next agent made even more errors with HIS interpertation of what the other agent before him had done...an argument he took before the PUBLIC for his OWN personal benefit. Lies DO NOT BENEFIT anyone! Another agent could look at the OLD files prior to Carr and see something entirely different! It happens EVERY DAY! Same way with DR's. One Dr will see something another Dr. missed. Right now I am not basing Weber on anything but, what I know about him and the time lines (something NONE of you are aware of and won't be until it is explained by someone other than myself). Blevins' list regarding Weber has all been addressed thru the yrs in this thread...but, he seem to keep forgetting some thing. The woman who claimed the writing in the book was Duane's - that was disproved long ago and I had the handwriting in the book compared with that of Duane's. Carr: The prints were forwarded to the FBI just like all of the other 26 arrests under his various alias names (prints included) they then took all of the prints and made a master set, why would the retired FBI agents tell you different and why take there word over active agents? who exactly told you they used his 1945 prints and what difference would this be? He told me they USED the prints from McNeil and The PRINTS CARR used are from McNeil. YET, THAT SAME AGENT told me DUANE WEBER was NEVER in McNeil - this was in MARCH OF 2000 - I HAD THE MCNEIL PRISON FILE IN MY HANDS - they obviously thought there was nothing left to be had. WHY THE HELL do you think I went PUBLIC in 2000! I was told by the FBI Duane was never in McNeil or in the ARMY - I was holding BOTH documents in my hands during that phone call. The jerk realize he had HUNG himself and said there was someone coming into this office and he would call me later. YEA, they had to figure out what exactly they were going to tell me. A simple woman should not have had access to those file nor have known how to get them. BUT I HAD THEM - and they didn't know I had them! The phone call was later returned and his explanation was: 1.Duane only PASSED THRU McNeil, but was never a resident there. 2. AS for the ARMY he said they had a NUMBER wrong on the records they had (note 5 yrs after I contacted them and they came to see me). He had insisted the number the AGENT took off of the LETTER Duane wrote from the army base to his mother was one digit wrong. THE FBI had copies of the SAME stuff I did. Yet, they had errors and dismissed DUANE in 1998 based on their ERRORS. NOTE the date of the yrs. I called them in 1996 and then in 1997 they came to see me and then in 1998 they send a letter dismissing Weber. Yet, in 2000 I prove the FBI records are flawed. The agent calls me and trys to explain away the 2 errors I confronted him with. HOW many OTHER DAMN errors did they MAKE! Then CARR comes along and make MORE errors - such as his explanation of the Central Print System. He explained away their mistake with a system that was NOT functional in all states and was far from being completed in 1968 when Duane last served...a mistake that served Duane Weber well. THE FIRST commit on the FBI site about THE DAN COOPER COMIC - stated and gave credit only to CARR. That was only changed AFTER I contacted the system. YOU are NOT grasping it!. Duane's prints from the other arrests where NEVER compared with the ALIAS. CARR was talking on the assumption this was done! Duane's last major arrest was BEFORE the central SYSTEM. NOTE he was booked, served his time and given a commutation of sentence under the name of John C. Collins - NOT Duane Weber or any other ALIAS! Duane was release and commuted as JOHN COLLINS. It was never noted in the Jefferson FILE that John Collins was DUANE WEBER- until it was placed on the Prison SITE AFTER the file had been destroyed! I had communication with Jefferson before the files were destroyed - I was told Duane WEBER was NEVER in Jefferson. I WAS unable to obtain the files from JEFFERSON because I was not the widow of John Collins. HAD the FILES have noted COLLINS AND WEBER as being one and the same - I would have gotten those record. ONLY after the paper files were DESTROYED and it was put on the computer system was I able to obtain any information at all. CARR timed this real GOOD with the THREAD when he posted I could get them online. HE KNEW the files were DENIED to me before. THIS was around the time he posted Duane's records on the thread - RECORDS I had asked him for and the FBI about for yrs....yet what do they do - wait until the BACK-up PAPER files and the DETAILED reports had been destroyed (GOTTA ASK YOURSELF WHY THEY DID THAT). The FBI went looking for Duane Weber just 3 months after John Collins had been released. He was NOT hard to find, but if the FBI was after him for something - they sure did a LOT of LOOKING the OTHER WAY! Duane was selling insurance in 1969 in Mobile Al. and then on to Atlanta, GA and was in the business until he went out on disability. CARR made that sound the way he wanted it to sound. NOTE: he had NO new or additional information regarding WEBER - only what the FBI used 1998 dismissing Duane only on the prints from the McNeil file. Weber's DNA was not asked for until 2003 and a widow who has remarried - just did NOT carry around a lot of my deceased spouse's stuff. What I had were things I put on a garage sale and where cleaned and handled by other and then probably cleaned again before I put them in the attic...in 1995 when Duane died - DNA was the furthest thing from my mind, plus I am a cleaning fanatic. There was a lot going on between CARR and myself none of you know or care to know what information I was trying to get him to look at that was with new information of WEBER. He ignoring anything were I pointed out the FBI's error is what ired me. I did NOT fight this battle just in what I said on the computer because at that time I was upset by CARR's arrogance and ignorance. I DO NOT owe the FBI an APOLOGY FOR ONE IOTA. THEY LIED to me and then with NEW things REFUSED to even glance back at DUANE. AFTER their error had been pointed out to them not by me, but by others. These NEW agents did NOT understand the mechanics of they system in place in 1966 when Duane had his last official encounter - where he was convicted and sent to jail. NOT one "authority" could understand HOW Weber got arrested in FL with a record and with a gun in 1976 and it NOT hit the central system of prints. I am the ONE who TOLD the FBI about this incident at a later date. Perhaps they did investigate it at that later date but did NOT tell me what the finding where. Yes, I was tired when I saw Mrsshutters post, but I also realized he did NOT read all of the posts that would later come and I was told Carr was working on something, but it turns out Carr was ONLY promoting himself and had NOT look at one thing I had sent him - expect nothing I told him privately and sent to him ever made it to the file! YOU want to give CUDOS to an agent who made an ASS out of himself by stating on the FBI Official Page the DAN COOPER Comics where involved and also taking credit for this discovery without ever mentioning he obtained this false information from a bunch of people posting on a thread! I thought he was talking about my having RECEIVED actual reports. As I read on into the next posts - I realized it was a post made by Carr that I was able at that time to refute and the comparison of fingerprints files was discuss for many posts. Pros and Cons - but the consensus at that time was the central system was NOT fully function and not all states complied and the system was NOT fully operational. This WAS verified by 2 retired FBI agents in my area. Therefore, not all of his prints being compared there is margin for error. All available prints from Duane Weber needed to be compared, but the FBI used prints from 1945 so the first agent claimed and then claimed Weber was never a resident of said prison. Later CARR would use the 1945 prints even though they HAD NOT been compared with later prints of WEBER which for some reason just do not exist! Carr Stated: What Carr told me. He posted the McNeil prints...and he maintained that was WHAT THEY FBI used. I wanted the JEFFERSON prints. THE PRIOR AGENT OF RECORD (the one who did the actual investigation) claimed that Weber was NEVER in MCNEIL and yet CARR used the MCNEIL prints in the thread. When they sent me that letter in 1998 - they were using prints from a prison the agent told me Weber was never in? Carr stated: Maybe in CARRS day, but not in the early days - the sharing did not take place until they started the central print system, but not all states participated and evidently did not participate at the date of his last arrest in 1976. THINK about this - Weber is arrested a multiple time felon in FL with a record and in possession of a gun - they would have locked him up and threw the key away. Yet, Duane Weber WALKED! Explain that one away. Carr couldn't, It was later learned that the states DID NOT SHARE PRINTS at that time. (CARR MADE THAT MISTAKE). Remember Duane Weber was a licensed Insurance saleman from 1964 (as John Collins in Kansas) then as Duane Weber in 1969 in Alabama and then Georgia and S.C. until 1978. Then Colorado an Wy from 1977 to 1980 and then back to AL and GA from 1980 to 1983 and then VIRGINIA in 1983 until his disability in 1989. Where is this REPORT - you indicated it was in the thread - I never saw it! The list of name sounds like they didn't as for the spelling. John Claudian Weber was his brothers name. John had been alienated from his brother for 38 yrs prior to Duane's death. He knew nothing of his brother since 1958 - I have letters from John that attest to this. The sister REFUSED to be interviewed, but I do not know if they finally got to her - she never mentioned it to me. The other wife in GA. - I think they contacted her, but their relationship was very volcanic so I do not know how well that would have gone. There was his friend - who he did NOT meet until after 1973 but who knew Duane well. THere were ex-employers - so that could be part of those they interviewed. They DID NOT INTERVIEW Tommy Gunn, Tony Wong, Ray (I forget the guys last name right now) or some of the others out of Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. The truth is Duane only had one friend he was close to and he did not meet him until 1973 and I still keep intouch with he and his wife. Parking Tickets at the old airports in 1971. These things were small - the size of a movie stub from 1971. About 1 inch deep and probably less than 2 inches long. HOW much printing do you think they could put on that? SEA TAC was a suitable ticket designation to put on the stub. I held this thing in my hand and asked him what SEA TAC was. He did tell me it was the name of a Seattle Airport, but that it was NOT important any more and told me to throw it away. Because he was acting funny after he went to diaylsis I went back to the shop to retrieve it. The trash was still there BUT he had retrieved the STUB. I did this because he was acting STRANGE and this was during the wks we separated so he could get his bearing with the kidney machine and AFTER he had done the drivers license thing and was put under observation. It was about 1 wk/10 days before he moved back to the house. It was also during this time span that - Duane let me know he had been in prison as John Collins. He never offered an explanation as to WHY he needed to obtain the new ID. BUT, I would not know that he did MANAGE to obtain the ID until the found wallet in the VAN was returned to me after I sold it over 5 yrs later after his death. I think I have just about heard enough. If Margaret claimed the FBI was notified about a simple robbery she is lieing and that is a strong point that she lied about other things. NO ONE mistakenly calls the FBI for a break-in. The shop was broke into 3 times - Duane didn't even call the local sheriff or police department. That was puzzling now that I think about it. One time when I was with him - we walked in and the AC unit had been torn out of the wall. Nothing seemed disturbed, but Duane walked into the work room (the room he used for furniture repair and unpacking things and storage). All he did was open the door and look behind it. Said "Damn they got it". I asked what it was and he never told me. Just a casual remark which I do not remember. Of course now I know he did not call the police because - he had a record of his own...under Duane Weber. I knew about the John Collins record or rather I found out in 1990. I'm curious - would a ticket stub have Sea-Tac on it or simply the airport code "SEA"? Admittedly I only did a very brief search but I'm seeing a lot more references to "SEA" on images of ticket stubs and the words "Seattle-Tacoma" are more frequently used in news articles of the day as well as in pictures/maps of the layout of the airport. Just wondering if the word Sea Tac would have been on a 1971 ticket stub. SEA TAC The stub was like a parking ticket or old theater ticket. It was blue or grey. I never understood how it could have been a parking ticket unless he parked a vehicle at the SEA TAC airport or maybe it was a Ticket someone else who was assisting him may have incurred. This has been discussed before and why I think there was someone with him. This is not the same as the copy of the airline ticket that I saw in 1994 that would later reappear and then disappear again. Hey Blevins - how does that go with you. I have the ACTUAL documents? The Vice Presidential Debate is coming on soon. You guys know I was born and raised not too far from there. I spent 2 terms at Centre, but my parents pulled me out when they retired and moved to Florida. Actually do NOT know how they are housing the media and candidates. No major airports there and not too many hotels or motels. Been wonder who pulled the debate off being done in Danville. Most of the student population in the 50's was Yankees - Rich kids with high academics and lots of money - but the parents wanted them in a small town enviroment. I waited tables for my spending money on the Girls Campus which was on the other side of town. Had to catch the bus in my uniform many mornings to make my first class. Needless to say - I was treated like a servant. Hope you guys actually take the time to read the last 4 posts before this one. Every word is true and I want answers from the FBI regarding their flawed investigation of Weber if I have to go to WA and get arrested in the process. If they think I am NOT serious - TRY ME! Note the Dr. asked if we could live separately for a few wks so Duane could get his bearing and the Travel trailer we had is moved to the shop - lots of trees and he had the electricity to run from the shop and could use the bathroom there if he wanted instead of the travel trailer bathroom...it was a light weight and the largest we could pull with the Astro Van. March 12 1990 Duane is released from The Pavilion. Duane brings Symba home because he is missing Sassy. The truth is he has something to do and Symba would be in the way. Duane takes the travel trailer to Tallahassee to 4 day flea market, but leaves his friend Jim incharge asking him if he could manage the set up alone approximatey. This was a Thursday and Duane told Jim he would be back by Friday, but it would be Saturday afternoon before Weber returns. For that same time period an airline ticket appeared on my credit card - one that the card company refused to wipe out - it was ONE way - and I believe it was Omaha, Nebraska. I remember it had be be Omaha, Nebraska or Olahoma City. Finally Duane threw the money on the table and told me to just pay it about 9 months later. I would NOT link this until 1996. I thought maybe he had bought a homeless person a ticket home, but didn't want to tell me. BUT, that ticket was HIS. He had cash for one way but not both ways. Jim would later tell me after I found out who Dan Cooper was about walking into the shop a couple of days after the trip and Duane is counting money on the desk - 100 dollar bills. I asked he was sure and if he was making this up...He was earnest. He judged it was 50K. He claimed his yrs of law enforcement in AL and owning his own business - he knew what 50K looked like in 100 dollar bills. I told him there was NO money in the safe deposit box, but during those last 5 yrs before Duane Died he took a lot of people out to dinner and that last yr bought a lot of NICE gifts for the nurses, the Dr. and for me and other friends. He would just always tell me the shop had a good week. The shop was closed about a yr before Duane died...but he gave the name of the shop to an woman who used the name and took things on consignment for him. Very little merchandise - moved as far as I could tell. While Duane had the trailer at the shop in 1990 our anniversay came up and he asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner (sorta of a date). The place he wanted to take me was very expensive and I asked if we could afford it. This was the same period of time I got in the van to go someplace with him and he was still angry - I knew better than to snoop into his stuff - but I looked into a large Cooler we used as a console. In there was a LARGE white bank BAG and I opened it up - I told Ralph what the bag said. That bag was in pristine condition therefore it was protected. That same day was when the stub laying on the desk and I ask what that was - It said Sea Tac on it and he told me it used to mean something but didn't anymore and to just throw it away and I threw it in the trash. This was the same day he showed me a copy of that same magazine article - that he put into the safe deposit box. BUT the book in the safe was a 1994 issue - so they were the same article but different issues. When I first saw that article was 1990. Stupid me had NO idea what all of this stuff was about. In March of 1995 he would enter the hospital for the last time and he died on March 28th - one day after our 17th Anniversary. HOW in the HELL can anyone make this shit up? I am not a writer and my story has never changed! I do want you guys to seriously analyze the dates of the license and tell me the FBI really checked Weber out! GO LIGHT THE FBI MISSED! Feb 26 1990 Hidden safe deposit box opened. #1664143 Mar 8 1990 Attempt to obtain a drivers license in Santa Rosa County. Mar 8, 1990 Drives to Escambia County and obtains the John Collins license with not problem in that county. Mar 9, 1990 Highway Patrol knocks on my door with his picture explaining what happened in Milton the day before. Mar 9, 1990 Duane is arrested, but not booked and with the Dr.s intervention placed under 72 hour observation. They returned his gun to him???? NOW, for the KICKER! AND very important: The drivers license he obtained under the John Collins is REAL! It says issued 11-08-1988, BUT now GET this. There is a receipt for the license - the fbi ignored. The receipt states the application date was Mar 3, 1990 and the type issue was DUPLICATE.... The name on the ID John ------ Collins address..... The man was a real man in the area so I cannot give that information. Date of birth 11-13-28. Expiration 11-13-92 So Duane stole a man's identity and managed to obtain a ligitimate drivers license with his picture on it by claiming a lost or stolen license. HOW DID THE FBI MISS THIS! The FBI DID NOT catch this - I DID! But not until after they sent me the letter dismissing Duane in 1998. I contacted the FBI and brought it to their attention, but I was IGNORED!WHAT did Jo do - she investigated. I found there was a man with that name who lived at that address. I called and a woman answered IN 1998. She told me they had a break-in of their home in 1990, but nothing of value was taken. All Weber wanted was some Identification so he could get the drivers license! I contacted the FBI, but was ignored. Yrs later I would recontact the residents of the home. That time I get a man and he said he didn't remember the incident - but he was getting old. BIGGEST QUESTION OF ALL - WHY WAS IT SO IMPORTANT TO OBTAIN A DRIVERS LICENSE UNDER THE NAME OF JOHN COLLINS - HE WOULD RISK BEING FOUND OUT AND GO TO PRISON! In Early 1990 Duane L. Weber was place on dialysis - he knew that he knew 5 yrs would be the extent of his life on the machine. He laid his plan accordingly. Knowing his ability to travel would be compromised he had one last mission he had to accomplish in his life. He opened a safety deposit box unknown to me until his death until I found a receipt dated 02/26/90. Box #14 at the Citizens & Peoples National Bank of Pensacola. This was the beginning of his plan. This box is the one I found the Soldier of Fortune Magazine in after his death in 1995 - NOTHING else was there. On 3/08/90 Duane presented himself and some documents to the Santa Rosa County Drivers License Dept - He was turned away because the documents were insuffient to obtain a drivers license under the name of John C. Collins. On 3/09/90 A Hwy Patrol man knocked on my door and presented a picture of Duane on a laminated card the size of a drivers license. He wanted to know if I knew the man - I said yes, but asked what this was all about. He explained that the man had tried to obtain a drivers license under the name of John Collins but was refused because of insuffient photo identification. They became suspicious and followed him but lost him after the reach another county. They traced the tag and thought he might be my father. I explained it was NOT my father, but my husband and he was 17 yrs older than myself and had just gone on the kidney machine. They asked me if I knew where he was and I lied (not well) that I didn't know. I immediately got into my vehicle and went to Pensacola and the shop on Creighton. I told him what had happened and before he could explain - 2 local officers and s Patrolman entered the building. Duane immediately put both hands on the desk....cussing me for turning him in. I told him I knew nothing about this and I was there to find out. They must have followed me. They found on his person a gun strapped to his chest concealed style! I was shocked!. As the went to cuff him I explained he had a fistual in his right arm and they needed to cuff him infront and that he had just started diaylsis. They felt the fistual and then complied. I called his Dr. and the Dr. intervened and he was not booked but taken to the Pavillion for 72 hours observation. No charges were ever pressed (the Dr. must have done a good job of explaining his health situation and that it was mind altering chemicals). AFTER DUANE DIED in 1995 and I sold the van - the buyer returned to me a WALLET he said was my husbands wallet. I knew I had my husbands wallet. The man claimed never to have looked in the wallet when he returned it to me - but a wk or so before when he first found the wallet in the van he told me had my husbands wallet with his identification and some papers in it. ALL of the ID was for JOHN COLLINS. I was aware of the attempt to obtain a Drivers License under the name of John Collins ID in 1990 - I was NOT really concerned and put it away with the rest of his things I had kept. Duane had explained to me he had been in prison in Jefferson for a few months. I just was me and decided it was not something I would dwell on....when he told me about this in 1990....I had already invested 12 yrs into the marriage and was NOT one to walk away from a problem - but, to deal with it. It would NOT be until 1996 when I found out who Dan Cooper was that I contacted the FBI. What the FBI MISSED in the next post! The FBI claimed Duane was not in McNeil and then later said he only passed thru McNeil; NOW for a HISTORY LESSON on MC Neil! During 1945 and 1947 the McNeil Island Camp population rose to an all time high of 320 men. This accounts for the short term commitments and the closing of 2 satelllite camps at KOOSKIA, IDAHO which 1st opened in 1935 and the Dupont Camp which was closed (I do not think the dates on the Dupont camp are accurate) in 1943. If some one knows HOW to check out the dates of the Dupont Camp - please do so. A camp opened at Columbia, WA in 1944 which remained open until 1948, but since the institution classification commite sent nearly all of the prisoners with a sentence of less than a yr to camp, draft dodgers provided a need that could only be satisfied by a second camp. The men were HOUSED in TEMPORARY UNITS AS well as a completed dormitory. They were employed in CLEARING LAND, cultivating and CARING for livestock. In 1948 a SAWMILL was constructed at a McNeil Island Camp with provided additional employment for the expanded population. (prison population) The closing of the 2 camp, Dupont and Kooskia, resulted in the farm at McNeil Island being designated as an official Federal Prison Camp and a separate institution from the United States Penitentiary. On the broard was Van D. Hubbard (where have you guys heard that name before). Also R.C. Warren , I suggest the FBI re-open the case on WEBER now and with the following post after a little rest I will spell out some MORE things. All of these post which are quickly deleted? I only came here tonight to make one post. As I have told you guys before I have NOT told everything I know. Yrs ago an attorney contacted me out of the N.E. When I found that Tina had family in that area by way of this thread, I thought perhaps the attorney was connected. He and I exchanged a few emails. He originally told me his was contacting me was on behalf of a client who thought he or she might have known Cooper. Be aware that I am trying to be very careful how I word this post. I shared with him what I knew about Weber, but he stayed silent about his client. He did discuss his contacts with me with his client (all I have is his word). When I suggested he make arrangements for this client and I to meet and talk to each other. He made a weak response, but nothing ever transpired. I offered to go to the person and keep the meeting completely secret - just so the two of us could be reassured we had covered the ground needed...as it appeared there was someone else besides myself in this position - never ending unanswered question about the past. The client of the attorney is elderly and does NOT live too far from me, but I never received an answer to my quest to meet the other person. This person supposedly resides in an area Duane was known to frequent, but he claimed there was no connection between Duane and his clients suspect. Since I need to put everything I have in front of the FBI and if the attorney is monitoring this thread I need to know if he took the information to the FBI, but I want to talk to him again. If there is any connections between his suspect and Weber I need to know this. I realize that Attorney/Client privilege does NOT allow him to disclose who his client is or was.
