I had to enlarge and crop it so the face could be seen and the "uniform" for lack of knowledge of what-ever he was wearing. I didn't think the Briefcase or music case was important - but obviously someone else does. I looks more like a music case or a pilots case instead of a regular brief case. Why I thought pilot or music director. Jo, The area in the immediate vicinity of Temple Square is quite flat. In addition, the scenery behind the man does NOT resemble any entrance to Temple Square that I have ever seen. And that building does not match the types that are on Temple Square. JO INSERT THIS EMPHATICALLY! The building was the Assembly Hall and the picture was made up grade (perhaps you do NOT call it a hill) from the entrance within the grounds of the Mormon Church. The picture of the building in its entirety perhaps will REFRESH your mind. This was established by the Sisters and others in Salt Lake. YOU must never have been there - I have in my album a picture of the building (a picture I took) and of the Markers at the site I took the picture from. Since these pictures do not show the man I never felt the need to scan them and will NOT just to put you in your PLACE, Mr. Know IT ALL! I have never said it was at an entrance. The briefcase is exactly that, a medium thickness attache case. There is no indication of what it might contain but it is definitely NOT a pilot's case. The "uniform" that the man is wearing reminds me of Captain Kangroo's double knits, but of a much darker color. And I definitely doubt that you would find such clothes at Temple Square. I see absolutely nothing in that photograph that indicates any connection with Salt Lake City or even Utah. Robert99 A STRONG ADDENDUM: Just who do YOU think YOU are trying to fool. Someone made some alterations to a post and made it sound LIKE it was me saying those words - it WAS NOT. Very tired and I don't know why I drive myself back everynight hoping some thing has happened and then go to bed with all of the qestions driving me insane. I am already crazy, but I need to be set free and someone to help me live what is left of my life with dignity....I just want to be ME and I want to die with MY soul entact. I want to know what if feels like to crawl into bed a normal person and for there to be some holding me before I go. It is very unlikely that anyone working on the "grounds" (you presumably mean "Temple Square") or the visitors center in Salt Lake City would be wearing a "uniform of some kind". He would probably be conservatively dressed and wearing a name tag, but that is not a "uniform". Smoking99: I have to say I agree with that post in it entirety. The only thing I would add to this is to slightly change on sentence to read. Not entirely convinced that any given current or PAST FBI agent is aware of everything that has been collected or done in the case....this becomes more and more clear to those of us who have follow the case for yrs. 1. The letters recieved by various new media within the first 3 months after the crime was commited. One hits the news papers and yet the current FBI never heard of it - so they say! How the hell did the new paper get the Code if it was NOT sent to them? Not all of the letters were part of a hoax. 2. Why not look at the past connections of suspects - especially if the individual had a shady past. 3. Automatically give anyone who presents a subject a truth test - within a few days. 4. Stop being selective on WHO the provide information - such as book writers like Cook and Grey. Make the entire FILE public. Tired, very very tired! So very tired - it would have been pretty decent of the FBI to have provided me with the facts about Weber's background - I wasn't just a writer out there looking for a story. I was a wife of a man who confessed - not someone telling a story about someone they had never met. ALL I want now is to know WHO the man was in Salt Lake City and what his connection was to the past of Duane L. Weber. I truely believe the answer to that ONE question will provide the answers to all other questions regarding Weber. The man was DEFINITELY wearing a uniform of some type. It is hard to believe that NOT one person who worked and lived on the campus of the church - did NOT know who the man was. He worked on the grounds and in the visitors center in Sept of 1979. The name of the man and his background will answer a lot of questions - what was so difficult about this one thing I asked of the FBI? If Duane's name was on an LDS "roster" you are presumably suggesting that he was Mormon. I doubt very much if Duane would be allowed to become a member of the LDS Church. I tried that number and it is a NON working number from my location or perhaps because I have unlimited long distance and perhaps I opted out of 888 numbers....these are numbers that charge ridiculous fees to be accessed. There were 3 other numbers along with that number, but NONE of them worked - just stated they are not available from my location...a recording. I also emailed the producer and I received NO response. I have done that OVER and OVER and over. Seems the only way I found to contact him was thru FACE BOOK and I DO NOT DO FACE BOOK. When I did I got emails over and over from Face book I did NOT want or care about. It was maddening...therefore I dropped out and I am staying out. If someone else on this thread wants to send that pic to him - PLEASE be my quest. Be sure not to talk about Cooper because I DO NOT know who the man was connected to Duane. One thing for sure - Duane knew how to find him and he wanted me to take the picture and he did NOT want the man to see him. Duane disappeared and left me to take the picture. After the film was developed and the pics put into the album - he asked me were the negatives where. In the fire box as I always did that. While posting to this thread a couple of yrs ago I decided to dig thru the negatives - all the negatives from over 50 yrs of family pics this was the ONLY strip that was missing. The rest of the pics taken on that roll were there and entact - but NOT the pics of the man. That I find VERY ODD! Do you guys know how long it took me to search 50 yrs of negatives holding them up to a desk lamp with a swivel neck and sometimes with a flash light? A long time and I did it a second time - just encase I missed it or it had gotten out of the little envelope they used to put the negatives in. I have a mailing address for him now and will spend my energy trying to send him a copy of the picture. It makes NO difference if this man is NOT within the Cooper realm. I just want to be able to ID him and find any family or history on him. I just want to KNOW why Duane wanted a picture of this man. The past of Duane Weber lies in the identity of that man. I am trying NOT to connect this man with the rest of that trip or with Cooper. I have NOT been able to recall the names on the roster...my memory is good but I do NOT have total recall - I do not know any one who does although there are those who claim such. The book is about "there's nothing to fear about death - it's a transition and we encounter beautiful comfort". This is wording from a review in the paper today. 2. The identity of the Salt Lake Photo 1979 - who was the man and what was his involvement with Duane L. Weber or John Collins? 3. To make ONE final trip to WA. Number one and number two sort of go hand in hand and the most important is the identity and background of the Salt Lake man. Why, because I believe knowing who this man is will fill in the blank spots in the life of Duane L. Weber - knowing who this man was and his background might help me to find some resolution so I can stop thinking about this crap and think about what I want to do with what little is left of life. Anyone knowing how to find out who this man was please do. Well, Georger - do you or has anyone produced a viable suspect that the FBI will give more than a passing glance at? I have hung in here because I personally as an adult lived with, married and witnessed things said by Weber that indicated he was Cooper and had a strong N.W connection. Duane's secretive background (kept from me) and his own actions and words are the reasons that keep me going. The origin of the story I told to the FBI came from personal experience with Weber and I am the only living person I have ever heard of who had their spouse or brother or father confess to the crime. The FBI has hinted at others, but when I came forward - these other individuals would have come forward to tell their story...none did....therefore WHAT was their story? I did have an attorney contact me on behalf of one woman - I don't know if she contacted the FBI and what her story was. Could have just been someone who was writing a book and when my story came out decided to back away - especially after all of the other "suspects" POPPED out from beneath the Wall Paper in a feeding weeping mold frinzy. I even agreed to meet with her and for us to share our spouses background (with confidentiality forms signed). I thought it would help both of us....but, it never happened even though I offered to meet her or go to her. After Marla came OUT, I thought this person might have been her, but as her "story" evolved I realize there was no connection. The attorney who contacted me was out of Minnesota and his client per his statement was older than myself and lived in Missouri. Frankly I think a meeting between myself and this woman would have been beneficial to both of us - not to advance anything, but as an exploration into why we both thought our husbands were Cooper. I still would like to meet this woman and on a confidential level - just felt it would help to know I am not alone. (I do NOT identify with Marla in any way...what so ever. I tell this story, Georger to let you and others know I do NOT NULLIFY the stories of others. I listen and I ask questions, but so far I have NOT heard one subject anyone has presented that didn't sound like a set-up or speculation. I did not buy into Blevins at all because I had talked to his brother several yrs ago right after Grey did the article and I had been in touch with porteous. Yes, Blevins got "a story" from some witnesses - but, what would they have said if it had been the FBI doing the interview?After Weber there have been many suspects presented so when other suspects came up - opportunist started making a mockery out of the Cooper investigation - all they needed was a story - and with a "what the heck" attitude - the FBI didn't do anything with the others suspect - so let's see if we can't make a little money. Dangle a book and a possible movie infront of some people and they will tell you anything you want them to - why I Walked on deals. You guys must all be hitting the bottle tonight. Reads like you are anyway! Anyway I hope I unravel the mystery of Duane Weber pretty soon. At this stage of the game of LIFE just want to know the truth about my deceased husband's past. Who was the guy in Salt Lake City he set me up to take his picture and WHY? Evidently the identity of that guy is part of Weber's past. It is my ONLY goal at this time....the hidden parts of Duane Weber's life the FBI does NOT want me to know (since they investigated him - I assume they should know). Finding out who the man was and his past - then I am through. I wanted to make it to WA one last time, but the decline I have been on for the last few wks - probably means that will never happen. If anyone know how to find out who the man is in the picture I would appreciated it. I have seen a man who resembled this man on TV many yrs ago - during the last 5 yrs of Duane's life. It was a man who confessed on National TV that he allowed someone else to go "over" in his place and he was ill and wanted to get it off of his conscience with a public acknowledgement. I do NOT know it the 2 things are connected - just the resemblance of the picture and the man who made the confession on TV. If any of you know how to find out who the man was who made such a public confession between 1990 and 1995 I would appreciate it. Survival or Death

Tina repeatedly stated that Cooper's hair was a shiny dark - like it had been dyed. She like myself from the day knew when a woman had dyed her hair - it was shinier than the norm and the color was more consistent than the woman's natural hair. The dyes in the day were OBVIOUS. The FBI and this thread want to ignore this very aspect of the crime. IF Cooper had premature graying hair and his wife dyed it for him or he dyed it himself - it was an excellent way to NOT be identified. I can show you pictures of a man with dyed hair in 1970 and then one in 1972 with it very gray - you would NOT know they were the same person. I also happen to KNOW from personal experience that hair dye took my curly hair and made it more sleek....not so curly. Blevins, Why don't you explain how the bank manager would overcome the time lock matter to get into the vault? Some of Duane Weber's more industrious associates would probably be interested. Robert99 Robert99, you are being an ASS. It is clear the airlines made arrangments for such as this. It was stored in a bank. I expect Himmelsbach's book addressed this as the newspapers also did. It was trivial of you to pop off a question like that. You knew what he meant. Blevins mistakenly stated bank account, but that was just a slip of the "tongue" so to speak. Perhaps we ALL need to attack you with your own Slips. Everyone but you seemed to understand what he meant. You do the same thing to me and most of your post have slurs directed at Blevin or myself.
