I know his past and YES Duane had the knowledge to do the job! Rather DO the Deed! I do KNOW Duane had knowledge of this crime beyond what the general public had knowledge of. Remember - most people had NO idea what a computer was in 1971. Note he sure didn't acquire the knowledge in a prison...his last residency ended in 1968. Feel in the missing yrs and his contacts and you might understand why I do what I do. I have had individuals contact me telling this or that - and their information usually does NOT check out! 1945 to 1949??? 1962 to 1966??? I am asking for 8 yrs out of 70. Why is the information I have not what the FBI has on those yrs which was almost NON EXISTENT! I hope the FBI did a program Photo Progression Test on the pictures I sent of an escaped 1962 prisoner and a picture taken of another man in 1982. Twenty yrs later. I think that it's something like this Well, you could be right on that one, but I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. No telling where his story came from. I did try to connect the dots with the way he thinks. He takes 2 things and connects them and then goes off like a rocket. I have received contacts recently, regarding one of Duane's prior employers and others who worked there. Sounds a SET-UP.... The extent that some people will go to upset me or discredit me is totally unbelievable....I know I should never make contact with individuals unknown to me, but I figure the FBI is NOT going to do anything at this time. Regarding the subject mentioned I probably have more information and old contacts than the FBI could or would even aquire or attempt to contact. The contact information did make me fall apart, but just one night - then I found my head and screwed it back on!

The only mention EVER made involving a member of the crew in all of these yrs - was made by BK. NO ONE else! Now in my Off my Rocker mode I might bite into any thing! BK never knew Duane Weber, he just WISHES he had. Where the things come from inside of BK's mind are needless to say MIND BOGGLING! Bruce would claim MIND CONTROL! Was BK involved as he claimed or did he take an article with a picture of man he had met and connect it to a group in the Complex who talked about jumping and skydiving. Something in BK's mind connect the picture of Weber with Cooper and with skydiving. 1. He did NOT know Duane Weber? 2. So far no one has proved Weber was Cooper. Now that he have 1 & 2 out of the way - Why does BK associate his memories with a government planned activity. 1. Why is he so fixated on Weber as Cooper? 2. Why is he fixated on conspiracy or government sanctioned activity? 3. Does he have buried within his mind knowledge of the crime? If so perhaps it is buried very deeply.. 4. If number 3 is true - might explain why he hitched a ride on Weber, but how does one find that deep seated memory within his mind? 5. Did he actually witness something as a young man - that yrs later he attached to Cooper & a planned crime? 6. Perhaps what he witnessed was just a bunch of guys in the complex out doing a little skyjump planning on the week-end. 7. Could he have taken this harmless seed - and store it away? 8. Did the story about Weber in the US News and World reports in 2000 caused this man (who already had issues) to suddenly believe the weekend outing of others living in his complex were part of a conspiracy. 9. He had problems that existed before he contacted me. The story about Weber fueled false memories. Each conversation became more detailed on his end - and then 3 months laters later he would present names or something I baited him with in a prior conversation as part of HIS memory. 10. Protect and DO NO HARM! I should have realized he had a problem and walked away. I didn't just like you guys PUT up with me! 11. One could draw a paralled between Jo & Knoss - but please do NOT. Jo has told her story the same since day one and explored Duane's actions and what he said during our life time together and dug into his past. Jo lived with this man. 12. What was buried with in the mind of Knoss? WHY did Knoss fabricate the record keeping and contoct the story about Duane? 13. Did BK ever actually meet Duane Weber? The image of Weber is buried within his mind but Duane did live in the area for about 6 weeks. Perhaps - A bar, a restaurant or have lived in the same complex? 14. Knoss sees Weber's face in the U.S. News and world reports and it is a story about skyjacking.15. Knoss remembers these guys who lived in his complex jumping - perhaps he envied them. 16. His mind starts to associate the picture in the article with the activies at the complex he lived in. 17. He had an emotional probem to begin with and he fixated on Weber as the jumper! You see an article with Weber's picture in 2000. Then with you connecting DOTS that did NOT connect U made lives pretty miserable for the Co-pilot and his family. Do one thing RIGHT! Send a letter of apology to the Co-pilot explaining how and why you came to your conclusions and the reasons for your accusation against him. Chill! At least I am trying to chill right now, but not about anything going on in this thread. Tonight I think I actually went completely off my ROCKER. Maybe something snapped in my mind, but for the first time since all of this started I can see clearly what I did NOT want to believe. Now, YOU can mark me Crazy, Delusional and Off My Rocker. BRR No, I do not mean it is cold! No I am NOT saying Duane was not Cooper. Will I WALK away and not look back? Not sure, as I have 18 yrs of my life in this and 17 yrs of marriage to the man. What is it worth! 1978 to 2013! That is a lot of yrs and when I think about what I could have done with those yrs. it is not measurable in $'s. How many others have expended yrs of their live on Cooper? NO ONE would or could believe the REAL story and yet NO ONE believes Duane was Cooper! How many yrs can a secret be kept? No one believe any of the other suspect are Cooper? Riddles - yes, Riddles! Don't even try to solve it! Will the REAL Cooper please stand up! Did he die in 1971 or did he die in 1995? Was the skyjacking part of a plan? Was the skyjacking one man with a grudge? Was the skyjacker a man with a death warrant? Did the skyjacker receive a bounty in 1990 for a deed done well or was it blackmail or did he just retrieve the rest of his bounty? No One would ever have conceived that 41 yrs later this well orchestrated crime would still remain unsolved - Oh, I did say well orchestrated. Only one person can keep a secret for a life time or did Cooper just vanish off the face of the earth? If he died in 1971 who buried his body? Who planted the money in the Columbia? Did Cooper double cross someone? Was Cooper loyal to the end? Was Weber a delivery boy? Was the purpose of the money being put on the banks of the river - to put an end to Cooper? Yea, riddles and more riddles! The story will go on till the end of time. Cooper destroyed many lives and he will continue to do so...until the truths are known. No one expected technology and the internet to advance to the point - the crime might actually be solved. Yet, it continues to elude an ending - and perhaps that is the way it should be. I was told to write a book or do a movie - but, I held out for the truth. Now when the truth comes up and slaps me in the face do I believe it or deny it or do I walk away. Perhaps I am playing U guys, U think? Or perhaps I am really crazy? Even I would NOT deny that tonight! If I had a bottle of wine - I would have a drink or 2 or maybe even 3 with a toast to Cooper with every glass. Solving Cooper could be fatal, but to whom? Our way of thinking? Our beliefs? So many people have spent the better part of their lives and many government dollars have been spent - and for what? Did Cooper die in 1971? Did Cooper survive to die in 1995? Did Cooper ever really exist? Was it part of covert action? Why would the government sanction a skyjacking? Was it a random act by a loner? What happened to Vickie's father? BRRrrrr I have a chill! U got that one RIGHT! P.S. Jo's at war with NO ONE, just standing her ground, but the battle is NOT over - not just yet! I am a woman and when Blevins repeats his gibberish it incinerates me. If the FBI would present me with PROOF Duane was NOT Cooper I would fade away and leave it be. Unfortunately even the FBI can't rule Weber until they can PROVE were he was Dec of 1971. NOW. I will reveal something "WE" have worked on for a long long time. This is a question the Cooper Sleuths and anyone else involved in the subject might contribute to. This is something a guy found while investigating the background of Weber a few yrs ago. As hard as we have tried we have found NO Connections between it and Weber or any Cooper suspect. Perhaps some of you might know a little something about the case that has never been public regarding suspects investigated: WE are LOOKING for the Initials BRR. We have tried to trace the item for yrs and the thread made suggestions which we utilized - but so far NOTHING! A Washington camper tag belonging to a man with the intitials BRR. We have tried - but the Division of Motor Vehicles will NOT provide the owner of the old TAG unless we produce a name. We have the initials and the old tag number. The only thing we got from the DVD - was the initials BRR. Does anyone know of a suspect with those initials who lived in WA in 1971. The tag came from a Camper. I did discuss this in the thread WAY back - I may have given the TAG number, but I don't have it at this moment and we followed the advice of the thread and ALL we were able to get was the INITIALS. We tried all known names associated with Weber - but, ZERO. It is a LONG SHOT and perhaps NOT even related to Cooper, but the party who found it seems to think it was connected..to Weber. I am neutral on this - but, it is a curiosity with this individual and it bugs the hell out of him. Do not believe I presented this to the FBI - because it seem insignificant! BUT what IF? After 41 yrs - witness ID is no long valid. Per the FBI the DNA is insufficent to even ex-clude or include anyone and they do NOT know if what they have even came from Cooper. (This information DID NOT come from the thread). The prints are a NO GO regarding ANY suspect and they could have been there since the plane was built (obviously these prints were taken from the Aftstairs or from the opening process). At this point Weber is the BEST candidate out there unless the FBI can put him someplace else on that day of Nov 24, 1971. It is the FBI's responsibility to exam his history - which should have been done before I got the letter dated 1998, but obviously no one was willing to go that far. My being able to validate his presence in the Spokane area prior to 1950 - perhaps got someone's atttention. Duane's association with certain "boys" raised a lot of questions. His association with specific individuals after 1962 while living as John Weber is VERY suspect. A detailed history of Weber's contacts, associates and work from 1945 to 1949 and 1962 to 1966 should have been address LONG ago. BUT for some reason this was OVER-looked! Wonder Why? That is what I want to make PUBLIC and I do not mean in a thread! The investigator could NOT have missed ALL of this or could they? After all it was just an old crime! The solution was IN PLANE SITE and baffled the FBI for 40 yrs - but, not his widow! Will the Computer age finally solve this old case? I hope so Mr. Cooper - I really hope so! Ann was wrong about the handwriting in the Book, but NOT mentioned was a statement she and his soon to be widow overheard - "I put a 163K in a bucket and can't find the bucket". Both remembered a different amount, but both his widow and Ann heard the same statement. Did Cooper find his bucket? Will the FBI after YRS of chasing Wannabe's actually be able to use their resources in a productive way - regarding a study of the 40 yr old files? 1000's and 1000's of leads were called into the FBI about suspects, but was there a common denominator in a cluster of contacts?. Information the FBI had NO way of compiling in the early days of the investigation. The use of Computers and the Internet kept taking this old crime front and forward yr after yr for the last 15 yrs. The case became a thorn in the side of the FBI and bled their financial resources. If they ever found Cooper he would probably be dead - if alive today Cooper would be approx 87 yrs old. The FBI is stopping the flow of their financial resouces by closing this old case. Just how will they do that? The answer to that question is WAIT & SEE!

I posted it because I was looking for answers just like you make your posts about Petersen. It was part of the search efforts I needed to make to uncover the things I DID not know. I do KNOW the Salt Lake photo WAS not just a pic of a passerby, but someone who KNEW Duane Weber! The answer to that one pic might clear up a lot of things for some people - including myself. I did NOT come to the thread to PROMOTE a subject - I came to learn MORE about jumpers, to see if anyone recognized him, to explore his past and HOPE that someone passing by or thru the thread might have some answers. Yet, the one person who puts me down the most is the one person who has utilized this thread for one purpose to PROMOTE his subject and his book - NOT to explore the possibilities and definitely not to LEARN! Sailshaw you have presented your subject and told why u think he was Cooper and I presented Weber and why I think he is Cooper. You nor I have tried to SELL a story about our subjects. Neither Sailshaw nor Jo Weber have written a book about their subjects. I have definitely been given the opportunity over the yrs to exploit Weber - but chose to go with evidence and truths and not stories contrived to sell a book. I would rather go down as having tried to find the truth rather than having written a book about a person who could NOT have been Cooper. AT least I am trying to do the right thing - some individuals absolutely have NO Scruples. All being said - the LAST PERSON ON EARTH ANYONE WITH A COOPER SUSPECT NEEDS would be assistance from Blevins. Lots of real people try to help, but one has to be a little leary about information forthcoming after 40 yrs. Wonder HOW many phone calls the FBI got about individuals they suspected of being Cooper? Suspects presented and NO way to correlate them all. Maybe NOW the FBI is searching thru the old files and computerizing all of the prior leads to see how many of them targeted a specific suspect! DO U THINK!

Take a poll on that one. The people came here to see what was happening with my story. We did very well and then along came Blevins to promote and to put anyone down but his suspect. Tonight it was decided I would go back to the N.E. Sure a lot to do to prepare for this, but it will be done unless the authorities take step to get it done before I get there. I will be doing things I asked other to help me with, like you Blevins but you were so into your promotions you didn't have time to check out Coure d alene and Missoula and Spokane for the footprints. You were told about a specific place but you didn't even bother to check the smokejump museum out at all. Part of the story is right there right under your nose and on to the Indian reservation and then to Spokane. I will do this and if I should die in the process - I will have given 100% to the cause. Expect I am the only one who knows what I am looking for. Maybe I will sprout wings and fly like a bird and then soaring over the forest and the mountains and streams reliving the history of the area in the 1940's. Then on to Seattle and just for fun up to Alaska. Then the trip back down the West coast thru Oregon and over to Bemerton and then to Tahoe and have a little fun. Then to AZ where I have family and then hit the high road again to Co and Nebraska and to Kansas and then to Canton Ohio where he was born and place what remains I do NOT release in Wa on the ground he was born in in the yr. of the Loraine tornado. Do U not understand - U drove away the individuals who need to communicate their expertise on various subjects related to the Cooper EVENTS of 1971. Cooper Jumped before the plane crossed the First Standard Parallel. Where the winds took him I do not know - one thing is very certain he did NOT land in the Columbia and had exited the plane LONG before that. Before and After Cooper hit the ground he needed to orient himself - this meant watching for the land signals (whatever he could see on that night). One thing would be the lights on the Dam and any other signal lights such as a Signal light near Yacolt Mtn Rd off of Kelly road. If Cooper had anything to do with the structuring of these Signal lights he knew the locations. He also knew were every airstip was. If one knew where the signal towers where it was EASY to find the rails. Just saying - Just Jo Rambling! There was an airstrip just below Lake Merwin off of 419 and NE 266 PL. The next airstip was at Fargher - a private airstip off of 503. These landmarks create a triangle. A road called Lucia Falls Rd is just north of Heison. Know this area and the RAILS become an escape route. Take the triangle and it becomes a Marquis Diamond with the location of the VOR off of Meadow Glade. There is another landing stip just north of the VOR, but I do not know if it was there in 1971. Was just a curiosity the way the airstrip added up with the signal light being on the Eastward part of this marquis. Even stranger is that these places are all places Duane took me to. Duane loved Marquis diamonds! My trip in 2010 showed me that time and space were NOT part of my memory, but the places are part of my memory. Wish I had been able to relate all of this to Sluggo, but I kept insisting they were closer. The memory is an amazing thing. Absolutely loved that! Was best "sutle" post ever made regarding U know who! Dead on! Wish I could afford to go back to WA one more time - so difficult to do so many things thru emails and phone - things I need to see and old archived files and old pictures from the areas around Spokane and over the road to Coure d'alene. Why he could NOT go back. Remember that on our way to WA. He pointed to a road that went to Coure d'alene and that is when he told me about a boy he used to know and an indian reservation in the area. I wonder if that other boy was Jauqime (do NOT have a clue how the name is spelled). Jack is what most called him. Was he the Nuston, Neuson, Newsome, Newstel, Newell or any other variation of sound alike names...I have looked 17 yrs for. I think he was and he tried to obtain some order so he could not be prosecuted for providing information he had kept secret. He was denied, without his name being made public. There were those who thought he wanted to make a confession to the skyjacking, but it was after I went to WA in 2001 he did this. In 2000 and 2001 the story I told was all over the news papers in WA....this was when I got a lot of contacts thru Margie Boule. She with held some of the contacts because she disqualified them - NOW, I wonder if this was NOT one of the individuals who contacted her. Do not know if Margie Boule is alive or kept her files - sure would like to know. This was how the Night Clerk and witnesses regarding the siting of the plane contacted me. She filtered the contacts and there were many she did NOT provide to me. Frankly I think he (this J.N.) knew or helped or aided Dan Cooper, but with the special treatment being denied - he took what he knew with him to his grave around 2004 If he was in Coure d' alene also then this is all I need to know. Have never been able to find his surviors after l heard the name and was told the story, by a man Duane had told me about. I know how Jauqime the name sounds, but not how it is spelled. A name Duane told me while we were in the Vancouver area and mentioned that he used to live over there - I cannot remember the point on the trip Duane said this, but it was either near the Columbia across from and W of the PDX where Duane went down to the water alone and out of site or at Tena's bar. I believe it was the site on the Vancouver side across and East of the Vanouver site. The site had a steep incline to the river and I could not see the PDX tower but he said it was just behind the trees to our left looking across the river. He told me about an old cabin or house that used to be there, the tracks and the berm. He told me there was some very nice home on the other side of that berm to the North All of this from a man WHO the FBI told me was NEVER in WA. I don't even remember the FBI agents name - but he signed the letter in 1998 dismissing Duane Weber BASED ON PRINTS ONLY! At that time there was no request for other evidence or DNA. That would not happen until 2003...after I had remarried, moved and threw things away! Who carries their deceased husband's "stuff" into the home of a new marriage? I did - but only what I could put in one suitcase and put it in a very hot humid attic in Florida...out of site, but never out of mind! Oh, Well the FBI does NOT want this solved - WONDER WHY! Perhaps it would have revealed the inadequacies of the investigation back in 1971 and the subsequent yrs. This case is CLOSED! Making correction to a post I did last night under the influence of stress and having taken my pill: This I hope will be clearer and more concise: Quote Concealment of the Spokane Record from me was the down fall of the FBI or perhaps a prior agent forgot to list it on the thread. I found this New Eve 2013 and was on the phone before the offices closed in Spokane. This OMISSION or mistake was on the backdoor of the FBI in WA. I contacted the FBI in 1996 and in 1998 - they supposedly had ALL of Weber's records, but they did NOT acknowlede them to me or the public until Agent Carr started to post on this thread - NO mention of the WA record. I have a letter Phil an old friend of Duane's wrote in 1980. He was offering Duane a position with his team in Spokane. I wanted to go but Duane refused the offer and simply said he could NEVER go back to Spokane. When I asked why - he just said he had gotten in some trouble out there. Frankly I figured it was an old girl friend and just did NOT pry any further. I had gathered from a prior conversation Duane had with Phil prior to his transferring that he had spent some time in the area. In the conversation - Phil addressed the fact he was being sent to Spokane to manage the office there. Duane asked Phil how his father was and Phil was young enough to be Duane's son. Phil's father lived in Spokane. The jest of conversation became very specific when Phil told where he had found a house to live. Duane was very familiar with the area and knew exactly the area Phil was moving to. The familiarity with which Duane had the discussion of the area with Phil indicated he LIVED THERE at one time. They spoke about the area and named roads...and where they had found a place. When I mentioned later to Duane that I did NOT know he had lived in WA. He simply stated he was there for a while with a prior wife. The dicussion ended. I know I go back and forth so you guys have a hard time following me. Contact ONE: Learned Duane had a past in Spokane. Knew Phil's father and the area. Contact TWO (the letter) Duane declined the offer to be a part of Phils team with as much detail as I can remember. He said "I can never go back to Spokane" end of the subject. I did NOT even ask why! I knew there were holes in Duane's life, but just let them be like leaves of three. Since I discovered the Spokane record it has nagged at my innercore for 3 months now and tonight it all came together. Phil Harris Sr was a friend of Duane's and the father of Phil Harris Jr....Duane told me he could never go back to Spokane because of some trouble he had been in out there. In the first conversation with Phil, Duane not only asked about Phil's father but a couple of other guys. One had gone to the mid west and NOW I think I know what MOUSE is all about. There will be more on this later. In the 80's or early 90's there was fire in the MidWest - Duane had the TV on and told me he knew a couple of guys fighting that fire! He did not elaborate, but he was glued to the TV. THIS was the same time he told me he had fire training - that same evening during that program. The same night he talked about "lie down in the fire" and I found the information on this just a few yrs ago (Young Men and Fire). I made a call to the FBI requesting they contact me ASAP and did give a dead line of Noon Moday. They need to hear this and tell me what they know about Duane and WA and why they never mentioned it to me - WHY I had to find it on my own. Why Agent Carr also concealed this. It was the finding of that Spokane record on New Yrs Eve that turned the KEY. It had bugged me ever since. This statement did NOT make any sense to me "You can put him in a chute, but you have to put him on the plane". One statement creating more questions than it answered. I did NOT at that time question Duane's records. I had been trying to get the Spokane record and made it known I was doing so in this thread. Something just POPPED when I got wind of the record and calling all over Spokane. My memory of the conversation - and the trigger point that cause it all to POP POP was my getting mad and one of the posters here challenging me. Then POW the little things I had remembered suddenly exploded and it was like working a jigsaw puzzle - it just suddenly ALL came together. Frankly I think 377 knows more about some of this than anyone here knows. He pulled a "Mouse" out of thin air. I had been looking for a MOUSE and I have a mouse. We know 377's mouse was younger than PaperLegs Richardson. According to the ex-wife and Duane himself he knew Paperlegs and per the wife she met him and his wife in the 60's while Duane was supposedly John Collins. (now that was a mouth full). Duane goes to see Paperlegs in Landon WYM after our trip to WA and left him a package - an hour and one-half drive in the dead of winter leaving me in Rock Spring (hope I remembered the name of the town - have to look it up every darn time). How COULD I EVER forget - we got trapped in a WHITEHOUT and huge storm trying to get back to CO. Knowing the kind of work we did we did NOT leave Packages and why would he DRIVE THAT far without confirming he was home? I had remembered the man's name, but did NOT know that the Richard Peterson he went to see on that day was Paperlegs until I was doing research on Paperlegs. That discovery is recorded and written about by me in this thread. I am sorry I attempted to make the post after taking my medication, plus I should never make a post when I am upset. I HAVE THE LETTER PHIL WROTE TO DUANE from Spokane in 1980. Both the father and the son are deceased. I have not been able to find any relatives. NOTES: In 1950 DUANE WENT BACK TO Ca then was sent to SanQuentin and Folsom. Those files indicated he had a scar on his hand. How convenient the FBI and especially Agent CARR did NOT note this. Carr was into this for all the wrong reasons. Pretty sure this will become very evident later on. There was NO reason to conceal Duane's criminal records from me if he was going to make it public in a public forum!???? Now 377 - picking on U! Now I know why YOU posted that article about Mouse . I know why I have a mouse and what that crazy thing Duane used to say. I used to be able to remember it until BK started his stupid riddle which caused my brain to forget the one Duane told me. I am not CRAZY or Delusional it is all there. The FBI is aware of the recordsl Rumor has it per Ms Twisty Butt, the FBI took a picture of DL to Tina, but they didn't take a picture of Duane that was very similar and sitting in the same position. I want to put that infront of Tina myself - I want to see her reactions, but I do not impose myself on her like some do. I did try not long ago and left a message for her to contact me and what it was about....but, then it is her choice. That was about the 6th call I have made in 10 yrs plus (how Long I have known how to find her). She returned One call and the others were acknowledge by her actions and the actions of her family. Short messages of warnings - and the best one was the Co-pilot wanting to recontact with her...they did! He called her and it went RIGHT thru. At least this last 17 yrs has some warm memories of the people whose lives I have passed thru, intruded on, those who have been kind and helpful. There is NO way to thank all of those who came to my aid and listened to my ramblings. Those with compassion and the ability to realize I was REAL - are the ones that stand out. Those who took the time to hear me out and those who tried to help. Some of them - the BSers I hope get what is coming to them. To question me is one thing, but to threaten me and harass me and make me feel unsafe in my own home. or as Carr did threatened me about going to WA. NONE of the record the mentioned related to Spokane and the was memory key for me. I told the recording if I did NOT get a call from them at 12 am my time monday moring that I would be going public with what Iknow at 2 oclock PM here.... The concealed the SanQuentin record with showed the scar that Duane had on his hand and neglected to mention his hair was white and he had previously kept it died unitl after the jump.l The concealment of the Spokane record was the concealment of a memory trigger. Duane told we Could NOT go to Spokane because he could not go back there.I know why - he was known under another name but when he got arrested his real name came up with a outstanding record in CA. so they sent him back. Duane would reconnect with Mouse, Peterson and himself with the name John Collins - GOD knows what name he use in WA. Also another of this group would have been the man I know as Ed Horand. Going to bed cant see the screenl The night mare is over, but none of this puts him on the chute - the right pictures will put him on the plane. It is over It is DONE. I can tell where MOUSE was and what he was doing. Why this mouse is so important to him - Duane probably stole if from him...it was his good luck charm when he gambled. Like I said - go to Spokane YOURSELF - you live in WA. Just Do it. I handled it all with phone calls and lots of them. I had tried to do this yrs ago, but didn't get anywhere. NOW it is up to the FBI to prove me wrong! I lived with Weber and I have managed to piece his history together - far more than the FBI did. Things Duane said and his actions and people he knew. In the last 2 yrs it was clear that if I didn't do it - No one would. Does any of it prove he was Cooper? Well, Duane confessed and his history fits all of the necessary criterior. It is up to the FBI to disprove it. They can't because he was Dan Cooper...and he was NOT in jail in Nov of 1971 - remember JT ranting that Weber was in jail in GA - NOT true. Well, U were not here, but all of that is in this thread. I have been to Hell and Back the last 16 yrs and it is OVER! I have what I have and the FBI cannot disprove any of it...what they will find is what I found (perhaps they can find more details, but I do not have that kind of capability). Remember I have unlimited long distance and I burn the line. Then at night I get on this thread. If the FBI has PROOF Duane Weber WAS not COOPER than NOW is the time to speak! BUT, I already know what I know and have known since May of 1996. The FBI could have found with-in a couple of yrs. DUH! Robert99 I did NOT say military paratroopers could not have made the jump - but that smoke jump training is a more likely senario. With you there is NO gray line - it is black or white and nothing in between. In 1971 - a 45 plus Cooper had to have received some kind of training - military or smokejumper. The private entities were througly checked out and NO Cooper. That leave military or smokejumpers or perhaps a washed out wannabe who did not make the grade! BUT, got the training and it was easy in those days to use aliases. No way to check the backgrounds the way they do today! AWOL Navy dishwasher in The Dalles makes a GOOD candidate for this. Did the dishwasher end up running errands for jumpers? Did he exchange labor to learn how to jump - NO license required. Was he a washed out smokejumper wannabe. Perhaps he was in training and they learned he had a problem and a record and sent him packing. Perhaps he was bitter about this...because he fell in love with WA and the boys were his buddies...first normal life he had ever experienced. Went into Spokane and got drunk as hell and when he left he vowed he would be back - and so he did many yrs later. There was an outstanding warrant for him in CA and he went back and did his time...he had been on the run for for several yrs. When he was released from SanQuentin and Folsom - his youth was gone and he was washed out. The best job an excon - well they didn't exist! It was 1958 so in 2 yrs he ends up back in prison...and then thinks he can run from his past by changing his name. In 1962 - John C. Collins was his new life and again he sought out the life he wanted. He was an old washed up excon - but, he had met someone he knew in WA and he started a NEW venture (in association with the old friend)only to screw-up again. He could NOT escape his past - he was an ex-con and in the 60's who hired an excon????
