Blevins is HERE for promotion. Every time the word Blast and KC and Skyjacking are used - it hits on B and his book. Does Blevins ACTUALLY think we are so stupid we do not know this...how he used this thread. I have said this since get GO, but NO one heeded what I was saying. So any post I make from now on will say Duane Weber was D.B.Cooper. I should have been doing this since day one when RB came here to promote his book. I came to the DZ looking for help and not to publicize Weber. I needed to know more about the case and chutes and all of that good stuff. I was also hoping beyond all hope - old timers would be posting here who might have known him. But guys in their 80's do NOT normally take up posting to threads - so what the hell was I thinking? I don't know. I was not coming back today, but had a moment to hit the thread and see what was going on. Well, as expected promotion was going on hard and heavy. He cannot make a post without using the name of his suspect and his name and skyjacking and the book name. This is how his mind works. I just read 6 repetitions of one paragraph Blevins wrote. I have heard this same thing before and he just keeps on and on and on. Repetition to the point of regurgitaion! Repeating it makes it true - or overcome anyone's disbelief! That is how he functions regarding Cooper. I feel too badly tonight to post and there will be less as time goes on. If any of U ever meet Blevins when all of this is over and I am NOT around to do it. Please order a drink and throw it into his face for me. Also get a bucket of Ice with water and dump that over his head! As for JT - I would rather the drink be urine and the bucket be filled with vomit or animal feces. God Willing and the Creek doesn't rise - referring to my health, I will be on a flight to WA in the near future! Got a decent nights sleep and started to work with the maps I have. Now need a more detailed map of a specific area - that is not heavily populated, but do NOT want to reveal the area in the thread. I need OLD detailed maps of that area. I think I found where the towers used to be. Something was triggered in my memory bank last night - probably an unrelated thing - BUT, all of sudden a light came on. I mentioned this area before and all I got was young folks who biked and raced 4 wheels in that area. NOW I need OLD maps and I know I have found the area the towers used to be in. Need map pre 1971. Black and White and don't tell me to go to this place or that place and order the maps - not enough time and I have ordered maps and they are never what I expected. I will not talk about this on this thread - only to physical researcher and older people who will understand and remember what I saw! Have had to take a pill to calm me down - after what I found drinking my coffee. Making this post and then try to re-start my morning so I can make it to the grocery. OK! now tell me this how much time on those damn transcripts lapsed after that initial slowing of the aircraft to get the steps down and the time they felt the bump? This is one of the last things I have to get straight in my mind and I have to mentally put myself there with the map. I know the location I was told about the sounds and the other 2 locations (none of these sitings have anything to do with anything this thread has talked about). Maybe it will not pin point down like I expect it to - but, I am bound and determined to find the location of that damn tower that was there in 1971 and was not there 1979. If I am right - then it will narrow down property records searches or names and land that had a tower in 71 and was gone in 79 and then developed prior to 2010. Lots of ground to cover - but, I am NOT sure what I am looking for - it is just something I have to do and this is my last chance. It is something I am driven to find. I find that and I can tell you where Cooper landed! He told me about the rails and you could see the tower from a long ways away - he was pointing to the N.W if I have my bearings on the rest of it right. I have never felt this close to finding closure since I started other than my trip in 2010. I don't know what you said, but you tripped a memory cord! Thank YOU for the concise answer I was looking for. I knew U where the 1 to address on this. The media may have been told 10,000 ft by ATC, but the co-pilot has stated to others and media - they did drop the altitude at one point. Remember he was able to make some decision himself - that is the way it HAD to be. I do NOT understand the darn maps so I do NOT understand where the Mayfield Intersection V23 was. Could U please help me in dumb ole lady language and just give the towns or something beside those flight maps. Sluggo nor others have been able to help me on this. I have worked in the blind except for the sitings. A woman in Cougar sent me a really great map - that is what I am using. (ONE I CAN ACTUALLY READ). She pin pointed some of the sitings - now I have to fill in the rest. Other pinpoints are specific places Duane took me to in 1979. Would you believe I have not ever actually did this before! It was not important until I made the 2010 trip and spent 15 days in WA. The time and space factor was what was throwing me. Wish I had made that trip on my own before 2010, but until 2007 I had a very sick husband to care for and then - I had to get up enough nerve to venture on a plane, get a rental car and drive in terrain I was unfamilar with, but I DID IT! Those who know me know I do not stray out of my comfort zone - a very private loner...outside of my work. Your statement below was the best anyone ever gave me and one that I could actually understand! Will tell why later after I can mark the flight path on the map. Hopefully it will light UP for me. I directed my post to pilots not U. U are NOT qualified to answer the question. This is what I mean - you HINDER progress and you need to qualify any answers U provide to specific questions - but NO you speak as though U are the person or persons to whom the post was directed at. I have heard Dona's story, but there are 7 other witnesses involved regarding my post. Who they are is NO ones business. All of them contacted the FBI in 1971 and were interviewed. I have personally spoke with all living witnesses I am referrring to. Another may not be around to see resolutions coming down. 377: The sound I am talking about was the skyjacked Boeing. I was asking if the flap change would have may the plane sound closer and louder. The parties are very aware of the search planes and know what they sound like - this was a passenger plane and it was low and it sounded different than other pass-overs they had experience in the past. Granted the other flights were probably at a higher altitude - so I take that fact into consideration. Just a simple question from a simple woman who knows little about planes. I do not doubt these individual heard the 727 and their stories all of these yrs have been consistent. Remember I lived across the Express Way on the perimenter of the Atlanta Airport from 1973 until 1977. I worked in the area. I heard planes taking off all of the time - but never heard the sound described to me by a man at one location and by 2 women at another location not too far apart. All of the individuals contacted the FBI. Both setting describe the same sound to me. Two of these individuals KNOW what the small search planes sound like - like myself have lived near military bases. Again I have repeated this question in the past and got some off the wall answers, but NOT an answer to the specific question. Does the sound of the plane change with flap designations and at low speeds not to mention a lower altitude because I have NO idea if the sound has anything to do with altitude. Writers are writers - they take liberties! Blevins should know this, because he is a writer! The man who wrote the article was a NEWPAPER Journalist. When Margie Boule did her article ON Weber, I criticized her about certain errors she made. News articles have to interest the public and the writers take certain Liberties! I was not happy about the OBVIOUS errors as we exchanged information via email and phone. All in All her article was fair....but inaccurate on some minor details. I have my emails and her emails in black and white acknowledging the errors if they ever come into play or affect the over-all results. The pilot did slow the plane down - because he wanted Cooper to leave the damn plane! There was a point on the ground that 4 individuals heard what seemed to be a plane in trouble. They did NOT see the plane - one claimed to have been able to see a shadow thru the cloud movement, but the "experts" on all of this said NO. We all know there was a breaking of the cloud formation - and the person saw what they saw and their explanation has to do...we didn't walk around in those days with a camera glued to our hand. The witnesses on the ground thought it was a plane in trouble, but another party told me it could very well have sounded like that to someone on the ground. The example given to me was changing gears manually on a car in movement. You would feel and hear it. I presume he was talking about manual transmissions. The pilot was given permission to do what he thought was necessary - so if the pilot knew the capabilities of the aircraft - and changed flap positions again - the plane could have lost altitude and changing the flap could have created the different sounds on the ground...at that one point....with the rain cover - trapping sounds down. They were used to hearing planes - but this time it was a different sound and lower! This was never discussed with the co-pilot by me - now I sure as hell would love to talk to him again. Would be nice to have a pilot on a 3 way conversation because I do not know chutes or planes. Robert99 - you are supposedly a pilot right? If the flap where change at a low attitude would the individuals on the ground note a sound - as being different than normally what they had experience on the ground? On has to wonder WHY Carr contacted Cossey for HIS opinion and NOT the other AVAILABLE parties. Had Carr not been all engrossed in publicity - Cossey would not have been the only opinion sought out. It was his due responsibility to speak with all individuals involved with the acquirement of the chutes still available. This was NOT done! One of the individuals I contacted paid me a huge compliment and I am still gloating. The individual was aware of my 17 yr involvement in the case, 7 yrs in the thread and other places I have plundered. I denied being instrumental in any phase of this....just trying to tell what I knew....and looking for answers in places where others might know something or present a piece of the puzzle. I feel pretty good about the label I bear: Crazy, Delusional, Off her Rocker 377 - yep! I am a teaser, but it was part of the trip out of necessity. It was May of 1996 I contacted the FBI and I did NOT go public until 2000 when the FBI pissed me off by getting simple facts about Weber incorrect. I have not seen or read this article, but there are several errors in it. He obviously did NOT interview the witnesses other than supposedly Cossey - if you could even call him a witness. This is what I mean by people changing their stories - is it the writer, the witness, subject or deliberate or liars forgetting what they told the 1st time? First I had heard of Cossey claiming the chute that was unusable was left on the plane. But I thought the unusable was the front pac....so has been claimed by Cossey and others. How many different stories have we heard from Cossey. I know what he told me and it didn't match other stories told. I won't repeat it without my notes - and I just don't do that anymore. Besides back then I didn't know a front chute from a back chute and the closest I have been to a real chute was in a museum. Cossey is completely unreliable and we know he only packed the chutes - they belong to someone else. I interviewed that someone else yrs and yrs ago and then I wondered why Cossey said the chutes belonged to him...I thought before he only provided the front chutes - then per the thread he is claiming to have provided the "chutes". I still don't understand this. I have my notes (I did NOT have a computer back when I contacted the other guy - pre 2000) who Himmelsbach directed me to. Then Cossey's name comes up and I contacted him after I was on the thread. I didn't know enough to understand what the difference was. Then Bruce ends up confronting these guys - I have never figured out which one is right and which one is lieing and/or why/ or is it a matter of back pacs versus front pacs. Then this stuff comes up in the thread - one owned them and one packed them and the front pack came from someone else - NONE of this MAKES on iota of sense to me. Wish someone would show them to me and then explain who said what and what who said to who. Bruce got me even more confused, so I just stayed out of the discussion. Go back and check - I left that up to guys who supposedly know these things. The other thing I never read and it makes me wonder if there have been lots of lies told and who told them. First I ever heard of the money being found in a waterlogged sand encrusted satchel with 294 moldy 20's. Is this a writer taking liberaties after 11 yrs or did he know something others did not know. Seriously doubt if the money was found in that state it would or could have been kept secret all of these yrs. Everyone knows the ticket, visual ID and one of the 20's would put a suspect on the Flight Nov 24 1971, but WHAT else is there the FBI has concealed to ID the right Cooper suspect? Correct me if I am wrong. Did Tina not observe Cooper looking at his watch? Was there item Cooper seemed taken by? A knife - we know the knife had a long blade - right? Per Tosaws interview with Tina per his book. Was there yet another item never identified that Cooper may have had or may have taken from the plane...I have suggested a book and photo, but NO one would bite enough to send pictures of them to Tina. The match book which was in the desk drawer is long gone. The ticket in the box is long gone. The satchel I describe to Mr. H is long gone. The bank bag is long gone. Would a watch that was unique have caught the attention of Tina? She was trained to watch for things, but was this one of them? Cooper had a scar on his hand - Duane Weber had a scar on his hand per his criminal records and one which he showed me - unlikely the one FBI missed in notation of the scar in his criminal records or was this missed by the FBI? Pictures have been made of 2 watches Duane had before our union and the "mouse" and the knife which has been sent to the FBI. Should the FBI not respond to these pictures - they will be made public AFTER they are sent to Tina and other members of the crew. You are the most defensive person I have ever met not to mention paranoid. There might have been a couple of posters here who went to Winkles story and posted. I read her story, but that was all. You no longer trust individuals here at the DZ - why in the hell do you stay! P.S. if anyone posted there as me - believe me you I do NOT post on sites that are NOT what I consider legit - and all it takes is reading 3 or 4 replies and I am out of there. Don't stick around any longer than it takes to feel a site out. Frankly I cannot imagine someone maintaining a site they have no control over - if she let filthy posting remain she should have deleted them - why didn't she or does she have NO control over the site. On Sluggo's site he had to approve the post before it goes up. Frankly I don't think you knew what the Palmer Report was - technically it was NOT a report at all as I was told. Just some opinions and cause and effect but with little to no technical lanuage. Since I have no way of knowing what the official Report said - I have sat out on it. But if the Palmer Report is as Amazon stated - then HIP HIP Hooray! You Blevins have an excuse for everything and nothing is your fault! GROW UP! I have been telling my story since 1996 and the only book I had read was a few pages of a book mostly fiction with some truths. Max Gunther's book based on a 1/2 dozen phone calls few ph calls from a woman who seem inebriated and was extremely coy. A woman whose voice was the same as the voice of a woman who at one time was married to Weber....Max heard this recording in our next to the last phone call and asked me how to find her. He went to CA supposedly on business - but more likely for treatment. When he returned we had ONE last phone conversation and exchanged one last letter. This is when he outlined for me what was true in his book. Then we said GOODBY! Max, I miss you! When I contacted the FBI on May 24 of 1996 I had only read about 13 pages of that book and I knew what Duane had been trying to tell me and the more I read (with what few facts there were in the book) I kept calling the FBI back. They never responded until PI in the area progratis helped me put together some pictures and documents to send to Ralph Himmelsbach. Ralph turned the letter over to the FBI. I do not have that letter out, but I still have a copy of it and notes of my conversations with the FBI. From day one I have told the same basic story. Of course I learned names of places and where they were located....and other details over the yrs. BUT go back to what I told the FBI before I had any of that knowledge - before I read Himmelsbachs story and Tosaws! AS I have stated before I was the first person to ever explain the money on Tena's bar, but I did not know I was doing that 17 yrs ago. 17 fricking yrs and the FBI did NOT listen to me - just another crack pot! Duane in March will have been gone 18 yrs and this has gone on way too long. There is NO other explanation for the Tena's bar find other than what Jo Weber told and she didn't even KNOW Tena's bar was the place Duane took her until she got to WA in 2001, but I have never waivered and I never will. If the FBI can PROVE Duane was NOT Cooper - more power to them. The Time of Day just might put Weber on the damn flight! It has taken 17 yrs for the FBI to acknowledge that Cooper looked at his damn watch. Was there something very special about that watch....he needed to make sure the fight was NOT delayed past the time the bank would be closed....was the watch so unique Tina took notice of it? Had to stop applauding your post so I could acknowledge the post. I had done my own testing in the early days with water, jars, pots and acid soil from beneath the azaleas at my other home. The squirrels played havoc with the ones I did in a 3 inch deep platon the deck. I had huge oak trees, azaleas and crape mrytles and the squirrels thought it was heaven and so did I. I loved that back yard - quiet and peaceful and private. Hurricane took out one large oak and it took the tower behind me with the Ham Operator's equip including the fence between in our back yards. Sure we can agree to call it 'whatever you want' ... as soon as Washington folks decide on its name! I dont live there! I wasnt born and raised there contrary to Blevins dead-certain mind melding. I never said I had no agenda in the Cooper case. You have me confused with mission-statements of ... that other guy. If I have any agenda these days, it is to find out WHO is telling the truth, since I had to give up three years ago on finding 'the truth of the case'. How CERTAIN are you the Cooper artifacts came from the bottom sediment. Is there NOT another explanation for the sediment - such as burial prior to 1979 in another location....and then placed on the beach. Perhaps buried near water with that same sedimentation. If the sedimentation could be ID'd then perhaps some other answers might surface. So you are saying that between the markers - analysist can ID the sedimentation and it exists no where else? What about other areas from which the sedimentation came from - the sedimentation had a source. Where is the source? Perhaps an Island - can't remember the name of the island where there was a ferry and a truck and camper that was found in the water right after the skyjacking. The truck was not missed until the owner returned from a Thanksgiving visit. There used to be a ferry there to carry the workers to the island. Could the sedimentation have come from that far away?
