Sell it to someone overseas. Problem solved. Here's another question for the prospective buyer with no experience: If you're going to kill yourself, why buy a parachute in the firstplace? -
It's from "Requiem for a dream"

The thing I don't get about torrirests? Why do they always insist on making innocent victims? I mean...why not put some effort (or better yet: sense) into the last thing you do (literally...). Is it really so much harder to make a kill that actually makes (a little) sense, than to bomb a bunch of clueless people eating icecream? Ex. Mcveigh. Why does he choose to bomb a building full of women and children who have fuck all to do with the actual goverment? Ex. Columbine. Why didn't they target the kids who actually picked on them? Ex. Bush administration. Why does it condone torture/murder of (obviously) innocent people? I understand, that desperate people do desperate things. Let's face it...if someone killed my entire family I wouldn't really care if I had to die as well. But why opt for innocent people, instead of those directly "responsible"? Food for thought... Edited to say: I realise the examples are a little one sided. So here's another ex.: Hamas. Why don't they exclusively target leaders of the opposing forces?

It's pretty useful. Just don't forget to double check if you need the info for something that actually matters.

Atheist, what do you think of Anthony Flew's change of mind?
VincentVL. replied to steveorino's topic in Speakers Corner
Unless that first cause shows up at the pub and says "drinks all around", he (fuck me if it's a woman) doesn't exist to me. -
HURHURHUR... The only bad thing about car bombs is that they make innocent victims. As do all bombs btw.

I was talking to some black dude and I asked him if he was a racist (convo was about racism). He answered: "Dude I'm black, how can I be a racist? " He was dead serious and everything...

Holy shit drew, if that is in fact your real name. This is actually the first time I have to do a tldr. You should have said the story was about dancing a grim fandango with death (or some story about you jumping off a 100 foot bridge to impress some 16yo...apparently I read those)

Your buddy should be able to provide you with a genuine picture similar to that one. Well...several people I'm sure. First cat to post one gets a Westmalle Tripel.

The Startrac III is 320 square feet as you can see when you check out the first link. Most Base canopies come in 300+ sizes as well.

you can't knock the guy for trying to make a little money for doing what he loves. I'm not knocking the guy though. -

Poor Tom. I hate it when people virtualpick on him too Anyway... Frankly, I'm surprised not more people over there are trying to make a buck out of courses. From non manufacturers I can only think of T.Aiello and J.Utah. Surely if you are living in America, a couple of miles from what is perceived by (mostly American) jumpers as the Mekka of Base, and you have the experience, you can set up a competitive course? Ah well. -
I have always been wondering how many Jews died because of skydiving related incidents, but was afraid to ask.

Actually...wear a diaper.

Landing feet first? Doable if you have diving experience. I'd pass. Back in the days I saw an extreme highdive competition sponsered by a wellknown energy beverage, and those guys jumped from 85feet (I think). Only one dude dived head first though. Just don't land on your gut/back, tuck your machinery between your legs (spillage is inevitable) and squeeze you asshole shut.

Max. speed of relative wind
VincentVL. replied to VincentVL.'s topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I was wondering how fas a plane can fly for one to still be able to dump out of it safely? Don't get it? I understand. Here's an explanation. Say you have a jet with a door in the back, like the perris jetplane. There's nothin to bump into. How fast is too fast for you to bail out without getting knocked unconscious or having your bones snapped by the relative wind? I'm just talking about jumping out of the plane. Obviously no immediate deployment planned. Alhough that would also be a possible deadly problem perhaps? So...to recap. What's the maximum speed for a plane during bailout? edit. Come to thin of it, the biggest problem is probably gear issues right? -

I saw a movie called "condition black" once. I think those waves were pretty close to 100 feet.

(non article related rant) I don't like the territorial surfer attitude. "I'm a huge motherfucker from Hawaii and when people don't do as I damnwell please I'm 'a break some faces so I get the RESPECT I earn. BITCHES..." It's all a bit too boys in the hood for me. Great planet, louzy people (like myself...I know) I guess...

So what does a freefalling helmet do to the head of the person on the ground it impacts? Is it "oh he got hit hurhur " or more of a female-witness-crying-male-witness-wtf'ing kind of thing...

I was wondering why your free course is longer and more complete than your paid courses. What's the logic behind this decision? -
Coming off large doses of adrenaline
VincentVL. replied to michaeldupreez's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You're having a mid life crisis mate. As long as you don't become a boozehound you've got nothing to worry about. As for the adrenalin. It's like popping E. It gives you a real buzz but when it wears off, you'll feel down. Or so I've been told. Now take a few breaths and get back to work slacker! -
The fuck is all this harassment shit?
