It was posted a while back. It is a guy swooping over a pond with an aligator popping out. Not the pic of the guy on a round.

Do believe that you are certainly doomed, or do you have a special pass?
-
Where's the location? You shouldn't expect someone to be enthusiastic about helping his competition.

Not at the moment, but I could get one in the Spring - you'll have to remind me.

Heading back toward La Salle on the blacktop - just out of Troy Grove there was a red fence on the right just before a right hand turn. Lots of america's finest 4-wheel creations laid it down on that piece of road. Full moon, full of whiskey, no lights........no fucking problem.

Wild Bill Hickok. There is (or at least was - its been a few years) a small monument between some pine trees in the town center just past a tennis/basketball court next to a picnic table. I used to go there and shoot baskets with my brother.

Troy Grove / L-P HS Represent! Wow Haven't heard that little town mentioned in a long time. Do you still live in IL? Nope, long gone never to return. My aunt & uncle just bought a place a few miles out of town (Troy Grove) though. I'm sure I'll be back to visit and drain a few beers at Sally's if it is still there (I think it is). I spent most of my childhood riding motorcycles through the quarrys there and snowmobiles through the fields in winter. Awfully good place to be a kid.

Well, there IS a parallel. Pearl Harbor was what we now call a "pre-emptive strike." If I recall correctly, that one didn't turn out so well for them in the end. It was ultimately ended by attacking the civilian population. Interesting. Never looked at it with the USA wearing the other shoe.

That is way beyond disgusting. I'm sure you meant otherwise. You must not know Scotty! I've been around long enough. http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?va=neonatal

Only the year that you first buy it and it has to be new and on the approved list (check irs.gov) FWIW - Bill von has a couple. I'm sure he'll be chiming in here.

...but you don't drink, Babe. He's all jacked up on pain meds now. Pay no attention to the man.

Your profile says you are not a girl. I'm confused by option one.

Why do you think that?

That is the nature of celebrity. Pat avoided it very well. He gave zero interviews and would only have dinner with his agent (while on leave) under the condition that anything Army was not to be brought up. After he was killed, the Army ramped up the publicity, not his family. They would have preferred to grieve in private, but instead got a national audience. Pat was promoted, awarded a medal, and touted as a hero. All of which were blatant lies (except the hero part - YMMV). To use Pat the way the Army did and flat out lie to the family of a fallen soldier is absolutely disgusting. Its not the Army's fault, its their leadership. I will never look at the Army quite the same after this.

Al-Qaida, supported by the Taliban in Afghanistan carried out an attack on the US. We retailated. The Taliban was toppled and Al-Qaida was on the run. We then turned our attentions to Iraq. Al-Qaida was virtually non-existent in Iraq at the time, as Saddam saw them as a threat. We toppled Saddam, but this allowed the entrance of Al-Qaida and on some level, a greater acceptance and support of Al-Qaida from the Iraqis. During our war in Iraq, the Taliban has been regaining strength and has a safe area on the Pakistani border. To tally that up: Al-Qaida not defeated in Afghanisan and growing in Iraq. If you didn't have a horse in this race, you might think you were losing.

The undeniably huge difference in Pat's death and the death of someone of a lesser social standing is that the Army knew the truth immediately, covered it up, and lied about it. They stood there at his memorial service, which was broadcast on live national television, looked his mother, father, and widow square in the face and lied to them and the entire country. People that have given their sons and husbands lives to fight wars waged by people that will get no closer to violence than the evening news deserve - no - REQUIRE a great deal more respect than the Tillmans have been given. The absolute least the Army could have been was honest with the family and they failed even at that.

Police chief fired for urging officers to stay in shape
JohnnyD replied to GQ_jumper's topic in Speakers Corner
Political correctness turns men into wimps Jellybellies is very PC. The non-pc version is: Worthless fucking lardassed disgrace to the goddamn uniform who couldn't run down a malnourished crackhead trying to run away with a fucking safe. -
List your main objections to Hillary Clinton
JohnnyD replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
Exactly. For some reason, I find myself wanting to like him even though I think he will eventually take ranks among the worst presidents in history. If H Clinton were among the best, I think far too many people would still want to dislike her. Who cares what people think, the country is in real bad shape, does that matter? Um....voters? It matters immensely that GWB has charisma. People want to like him even though he has been a nearly complete failure as a president. Consider this: H Clinton is pres. instead of GWB and does exactly the same things. I'm guessing she would be crucified by now. Reason? Too many people don't want to like her. If she was POTUS and had to deal with the scandals, outing of CIA agents, and the total failure in Iraq, what do you think would be going through peoples minds when they saw her on TV talking about Iran and N. Korea? That bitch has got to go! People would be lining up on both sides of the aisle to get her head on a stick so they could keep their own job. Same situation with GWB - give him some time, we support him, he loves america, blah blah blah. So yeah, the fact that people like or dislike your hair, your accent, your blue-blood lineage, your whatever is of far more importance than your actual qualifications. -
Stay out of the street. In the history of car v. pedestrian confrontations, cars are undefeated.

I meant to say that they should not impede it. It would be nice to remove them all together and put all funds into a general fund to be distributed by importance, but of course that would have to be controlled by someone. FDA? Could be the most corrupt gov't. agency. We would have to figure something out and when it doesn't work I would end up bitching about it. This would be a good time for a good idea. Best I can come up with is: Politicians hose up 10x more things than they help. Don't allow lawyers to impede scientists. Other than that, I don't know.

As trivial as that may sound on the surface, it does carry a lot of weight. I think it is representative of the intersection of the many groups that will be swayed to not vote for H Clinton for whatever reason they hold to be important. When too many of those groups intersect, a candidate become unelectable.
