My dad clicked on one of those fake link about a few months ago and we ended up with Anivirus 2009 on our desktop. I spent hours trying to get it off of the computer! I went it and removed it manually, but it took me a bit to figure out all the path names and files that it went into. I think that I have it all removed now.

anybody live or know anything about Lancaster Cali?
chiquita24 replied to chiquita24's topic in The Bonfire
I've been offered a nanny job in Lancaster Cali, but I don't know much about it. I'd be making a huge move, from Mn to California. What's the job market there? Is cost of living outrageous? Even though I have a free place to stay. Any info about it would be helpful! What's the closest DZ? -
Just wondering: Have anyone taken this perception test?

I watched this when I was in school for my BA in psychology! It was surprising how many people didn't see the gorilla! -
I don't know too much, but the company that my dad works for is Jewish and he went to a funeral last year. Most likely at least some of the sermon will be in Hebrew-I guess depending on whether or not they are Orthadox Jew. The family will most likely be wearing black and men will be wearing the little Jewish cap-I'm not sure the technical name. Women may also have their heads covered. So for dress, as with any funeral, I don't think you can go wrong with black, but really I don't think it is huge deal. I don't know where exactly you are to stand/sit, but I think it will all come into place once you are there. Many people, close friends and family of the deceased will speak at the funeral. And once you are at the cemetary, friends and family will each have a chance to shovel dirt onto the casket. I hope this helps at least a little bit. Sorry for your loss.

I think New Balance shoes are the best too! They're comfy, have good arch support and there's a ton of different styles. Now I'm not a runner by any means-well at least not now, but I used to be,and I've always had luck with these shoes.

I'm going to chime in here even though I generally shy away from this forum! I worked at a grocery store for 5 1/2 year and was appalled by the number of people using-or should I say abusing food stamps. Before I say anything else, for the people who truly need food stamps, it's available-IF you qualify. I've known a few friends, who were working as much as they could, but still had to pay rent and bills and then worry about food. They got denied from the program. What was appalling to me was this: food stamps are supposed to be used to buy foods that are necessary, bread, milk, cheese, meat etc. And no hot food or certain items from the deli. These people would come through the line, have $500+ in food stamps to spend each month and buy nothing but junk food; chips, pop, candy and whatever else. AND they would sit there in the line, talking or texting on their high tech cell phone! ok that's my .02!

I would describe it as foggy, grainy, dull and.....just not a good picture.

***It'll make skin appear reddish and everything else will be bluish-green. This is exactly what it's doing. I did fix it some, but I still can't get a perfect picture. The signal is through a satellite from Dish Network. When I play a DVD the picture is much better.

I thought these digital tv's were suppose to make the picture look better! Mine looks worse!! I've tried everything I know how to and looked up some info online, but I still can't get a good picture. I feel like my eyes are straining to see the picture. And the color of the peoples' skin looks terrible. It's a Dynex 20"LCD tv, if anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear it!

That was very nice! My thoughts are with you today!

Here's what else is annoying me right now and I know it's terrible....my father. He's a lazy piece of crap who does nothing but sit around, watch tv, eat every cookie, snack food etc in the house rather than actually eating a meal, does no laundry, no cleaning, no nothing. But when he wants help then it's a different story. He pisses me off. Ok I'm done ranting. Oh the other thing is some common spelling mistakes: like a lot-it's 2 words and neighbor, weigh, their, weird, either etc. "i before e except after c or when sounding like "a" as in neighbor or weigh."

My sister had it last year and it seemed to last for awhile. Whenever she thought she was getting better, she'd start coughing and just generally not feeling very well and have to go back to resting again. I hope you feel better soon! Maybe it won't last too long for you!

Some things that annoy me-very similar to others People who drive slow or the speed limit in the left lane-get the hell outta my way Calling a customer service helpline with one of those automated things that can never understand what you just said! Or the press all these buttons yadda yadda. What's wrong with speaking to a person? And customers who can't understand a simple sale such as "ALL tops, buy one, get one 50% off" customer- "Does that include this shirt too? Or how bout this one, it was on clearance?" I wouldn't have told you ALL if if were just this one and that one... Joys: Spending time with my 7 month old niece Shopping Dreaming about Mexico (and Mexicans )

It's completely clear skies here, not sure if my camera will take a decent picture of it though.

That's a good one-you're pretty funny Mr. Bolas!

***Thats bullshit! I've been single for almost a year and havent gotten laid in months and dont know when the dry spell is gonna end.Trust me its not from my lack of trying either.[Crazy][Mad][Unsure][Unimpressed] Don't feel too bad, I'm in the same boat!. But then again I guess I haven't put myself out there too much, so I guess it's partially my fault!
-
Oh cute! I was wondering if they made something like this. I wish that the build-a-bear workshops had a skydiver outfit!
-
Vodka/Cran, my drink of choice I think I've had one too many!!! Gee I wish I wasn't single right now!
-
I agree that was heartbreaking! What a strong kid until the end though. I'm sure he touched many lives.

You could also start a website through caringbridge.com. It's a website especially made for people with illnesses and allows you to post phots, write in a journal, and have others write messages in the guestbook. We did it for my mom and it was a wonderful way to keep everyone updated and receive many warm thoughts and wishes. And when it's done, you can turn it into a book. My thoughts are with you!

***The soup menudo is a traditional Ecuadorian & Mexican dish; a frequently spicy soup made with tripe. It is often thought of as a cure for a hangover, and is traditionally served on special occasions or with family They swear by this in Mexico! But I just cannot get myself to eat it... yuck my solution is try to and drink a glass of water before bed, leave one next to the bed, and then drink water or gatorade in the morning!

I'm very self conscious about my tummy and my weight Then again, if I actually got moving again and did something about it, I'd be better off! It's just too f'in cold here already and I can't afford a gym membership.

The few times I've flown them too, the flight was either on time or EARLY also! So make sure you are at the airport on time!
-
Try checking the airtran website too! Often they have deals from $39 one way! I've flown them before and they were great! They're cheaper because they are a charter airline and only fly to select cities.
