Ok I just have to vent this somewhere, even though I'm sure enough people have heard it! I hate winter!!! And it's right around the corner. Just the thought of being here this year-I live in Northern MN-is killing me. I've spent the past two winters in Mexico and due to money reasons, I can't go this year and I for sure don't have enough to move right now. So winter's around the corner and I need to find some way to get through it! Any suggestions?!![

Hmmm getting busy on a cruise ship sounds interesting! Ok so I was curious and looking on an internet dating website. I gave a it a few weeks and then couldn't handle all the creepy people!! So the internet it not for me!
-
You're suggesting he pay for sex? That's absurd! lol I'm sure he's a much better man than that!!
-
Amen to that. Being single sucks! And I wish I would be a guy who would even take me out to one nice dinner or for some drinks! But even then I still wouldn't jump in the sack with them that night...

Hey thanks for getting back to me! I have to admit that I am not a fun jumper, but I do have 13 tandems. Ok I know a bit ridiculous! I've worked at Skydive Ixtapa in Mexico for 2 years and have also worked a little at SDC. I work odd hours this weekend, but I'd love to make it out soon and meet some people!

That's right! I'm doing just fine, but COLD!

I'm newly single after a almost 3 year relationship and am anxious to get out there and meet new people! My reasons for being single: 1. I'm determined to make my next relationship worthwhile and long lasting 2. I move around too much 3. I need someone who has similar interest to me

Hey- Just curious if anyone on here jumps in Superior WI. I'm in Duluth, back in town after being away for awhile and am just looking for some cool people to hang out with. Any takers?
-
I guess I don't understand why it wouldn't be approved... and seriously people, I'm not stupid. I'm new to this and to skydiving

WOAH geez, I was simply asking a question. I'm new to this whole thing.... And I'm sorry, but "fuck patience is not your strong suit" is a bit rude! I didn't realize someone had to read it before you posted a review.

I posted a review about a DZ yesterday. I got a message saying that DZ.com would send me an email once my post was approved. I haven't received that email and my review never posted. I really don't feel like typing it all out again, so where is it? And why haven't I received an email?

Thanks Bret! I wish you were here! Skydive Ixtapa Boogie is going on NOW!!! The boogie has just started and we NEED fun jumpers! There's still time to get your ticket and come to paradise!!!!

HAHA! I have 11 tandems because I work at a dropzone and got a deal on most of them and some of them were free given to me as a gift. I've done front flips, back flips, head down positions, hybrids....all kinds of fun stuff!

Oh! And for non drinkers, although I can't offer a discount, we are willing to pay for sodas or non-alcoholic drinks!
-
Hey thanks for your nice post in helping to explain our situation! And yes, we do still have to pay the "taxi mafia" every time we leave Carlos. For those of you wondering why, there is a huge problem with the taxi unions here and they say that we are transporting tourists to the airport and that's their job, so we have the pay them 150 pesos every time we leave(that's what they charge to go to the airport). There are plenty of places to stay here both in Zihua, which is cheaper or in Ixtapa located very close to our DZ. I would be willing to offer information to anyone looking to come jump here.

So, I have 11 tandems, (yes that's right 11)! I am considering starting my AFF but I need to gather up some more money first. I've pretty much done everything you can do in a tandem. I just did my last tandem about 1 week ago, and decided that I was bored. My friend told me that she felt that doing a tandem was actually more scary than doing her first couple AFF jumps because it's a totally different feeling to be wearing your own rig. What's your opinion?
-
No, I don't believe there is a discount for non-drinkers. Sorry.
-
First of all, thank you for you question. The price of the boogie fee includes 2 drinks the night at Carlos N Charlie's and the price of the Booze Cruise which in itself cost $35 and includes the bonfire and party at Playa Larga. Here at Skydive Ixtapa we have some other significant expenses in providing you with some of the most beautiful skydives available in the world. They would include additional transportation costs as we are located on the beach where you land every jump not at the airport. In addition, we fly out of an international airport here in Ixtapa. Because of these additional capital expenses and fees this forces a higher jump ticket price.

Such a wonderful place to be. Everyone is so friendly and helpful here! Ok so maybe I'm biased since I have only been to and worked(Skydive Ixtapa) at a few other dropzones. The facilities at SDC are amazing, cafe, camping, tiki, Sky Lounge, huge packing area, and the shower houses- which were much improved this year! I lived at SDC for awhile and although it was hard for me to adjust living in a trailer at first, now that I'm home in MN I truly miss it! The friends I made there were great! Rook (DZO) is an amazing skydiver and a really nice guy too! Although I am not a full-time skydiver-Ok so really I have 13 tandems which I know is a bit ridiculous, I enjoyed being at SDC. Saludos a todos mis amigos!!!

This is truly one of the best places in the world to jump! It is a spectactular view from the air and you will never see anything like it. Whether it is your first tandem jump ever, you are going through the AFF course, or an already experienced jumper, come jump at Skydive Ixtapa!
-
Yes I do feel some pressure to jump because everyone knows that I have done it and loved it and wants me to be able to jump on my own. I want to jump alone too! Thanks to all who have replied. I guess I'm really not alone with my getting out of the door fear!!! I would like to try a wind tunnel and see if that helps! I think I will do another tandem again in two weeks and then see how things go!
-
Hey all! I am new to dropzone.com and thought this would be a good place to ask my question. I have 3 tandem jumps and have loved every one of them! My fiance is a skydiver and I spend a good portion of my time at Skydive Chicago. I feel a lot of pressure to jump and to go through AFP. My problem is, I am afraid to jump again and I don't know why. I hate getting out the door, and I dont' have a very good arch and I tend to kick my feet out the door (looks like I'm trying to run) and I hate it!!! How can I get over this fear??? AFP is something that I want to do, I really want to learn to jump on my own, but I am struck by fear right now!! HELP!
