I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose a great companion like that.

(NSFW) http://blog.babeland.com/2008/10/31/get-out-the-vote-with-babeland/ Damn...I live in the wrong part of the country. (Please don't get this moved to SC...it's too damn funny.)

The sad thing is it's true. Since I became a packer at the DZ I can actually get my sleeping bag back in the stuff sack. I can also pack up my tent small enough that it'll fit in its stuff sack as well (Previously I always just threw away the stuff sack because I knew I'd never get it back in there.) But seriously...practice, practice, practice. I think one of the only reasons I'm so good at packing is because I'm a packer. I think the trick is to use what you have. Everyone does it a little different. (I personally use my boobs to help control the fabric as I'm putting it in the bag.) If you talk to 10 different people you'll learn 10 different ways to pack. I spent alot of time just sitting on the side and watching other people pack. If I had any questions I would simply go up and ask. I just tried different techniques I saw different people do until I found the right combination that worked for me. Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it eventually.

I should've been added to this list a long time ago.

Wow...reading the responses in this thread makes me think my parents didn't care about me. Or maybe it was because we lived in a good neighborhood with trustworthy neighbors. But I remember comming home from school in 3rd grade and being home alone for 2 to 3 hours a day. I think the first time I was ever left home alone over night was at the age of 10. That may explain why I'm so independent though. Always have been. I've heard stories of when I was 2 years old instead of waking up my parents for breakfast I would just go in the kitchen and grab whatever I could. The 2 stories I've heard was once my parents came downstairs to find me watching Seseame Street and eating ice cream and the other was me eating Twinkies.

Vibes For A Friend (some of you in CA may have heard about this)
iluvtofly replied to iluvtofly's topic in The Bonfire
A high school friend of mine was in a horrible motorcycle accident the other day. I wouldn't say that I was terribly close to him but it still hurts to hear about this. http://lukedithrich.blogspot.com/ -
"How cool would it be to say, 'I've kissed but one man in my life'?"
iluvtofly replied to sartre's topic in Speakers Corner
I believe it was Walter who said that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-MmzCQSuFw It's the very last line of this clip. And it's funny as hell. -
Lots of vibes heading your way.

I wish you were the one interviewing me...it would be so much simpler. Don't suppose you're hiring at the moment.
-
Thank you for your suggestions. I'm definitely work on that stuff. I think part of my problem is saying "um" and having to stop and think about answers to questions.

Gee thanks. Next thing you know people are gonna be telling me to dress as slutty as possible.

So I'm actively looking for a 2nd and/or new job at the moment. My main goal at this point is to have the money in 1 or 2 years to be able to move down south closer to my family. I also want a job that actually deals with my degree. Not that I don't love my current job but there is no future with it. Here's my issue. Despite having a BS in Business Management, my interviewing skills suck. I've already had 1 interview that didn't go well and I didn't get the job. Are there any tips/tricks that could help me? Thanks for your help.

Aboslutly...provided next year when I get on the platform it doesn't feel like I'm about to have a heart attack and hyperventilate again.

It was great seeing you at Bridge Day. I had a blast making my first BASE jump (despite going head down). Hope your neck heals up well.
