Can you post some pictures of your setup? Would make it much easier to give accurate suggestions. Miami

I've had many people with 61cm (~24 inches) heads order FF2's through me and they have been very happy with the fit. Biggest I've sold is one for a guy with a 25" head...but 2K told me then they had made them even bigger than that before! If you have any other questions about the helmet feel free to PM me. Thanks! Miami

Hey Corn, PM sent...would have been sooner but 23 jumps this weekend in crazy hot conditions and I just passed out when I got home from the dz last night. Thanks! Miami

The french links go with the canopy. Try to pick up a cardboard line organizer from your rigger to attach the links to...will make the persons life you're sending the canopy to a lot easier when it comes time for them (or their rigger) to attach it to another rig. Miami

I use a freefly camera suit with "c" type wings (attached along the front of the arm) for all my video work, from backflying with tandems to filming 4-way at nationals. I've found the wings to give much more range than doing it in a freefly suit only, and as a reference I'm 6'4"/195lbs. Hope that helps... Miami

Really depends on the person I think...I was lifting my 35lb daughter right after the surgery, but I wouldn't try more than that. I'd be really wary about sitting on anything that vibrates for a while. You'll just have to see how you feel afterwards. Miami

Rub one out in a cup and hand it to the poor airman sitting at the front desk of the lab. Miami

My urologist took out 15mm of each tube, cauterized both ends, then folded and clamped each end with titanium. There's no way I'm lettin anyone in there to try and fix all that stuff so I can have another kid...if I want one that bad I'll adopt! Miami

You can read about it in the thread Broke linked, but basically I had it done Monday morning, made 5 jumps that Saturday, including a tandem. Actually just found out a couple days ago that there are officially no swimmers left. Miami

Did a little research on it and that's actually a really nice burner! Would very much do the trick for you...as long as the seller is being honest about the listing. If you guys could just move the dz a little closer I'd be up there a lot more often!! I'm really looking forward to visiting again! Miami

This is the previous model of Apacer that I'm pretty sure has a tv out as well, and that looks to more in your price range? Seller looks fairly reputable as well... I'm going to be up in August...going to be passing through Richmond after a wedding and stay there all day Sunday. Miami
-
Some of the more expensive ones have a video out on the unit, you can plug them into a monitor/cheap tv and preview through the burner. This Apacer is an example. Miami

Like Phree said, go with a stand alone. This Alera is the one I use...takes less than 5 minutes to burn roughly 60 photos at high res off of my 20D. To review you should be able to pop the cd into a dvd player...I just use a laptop though. Miami

Clicky - www.competitionhelmets.com I have one of their camera condoms (camdom) on my 20D...I'll try to post some pics of it tonight. Much less expensive and very nice...although I do believe the waycool one will allow you to use your flash with it on, while this one will not. Miami

My reserve pin(s) cannot be bent from leaning on anything or from jamming the reserve into the the door on a late exit, and my 6'4", 200lb self has not been able to bend one during packing...despite the fact that I pull my closing loops as tight as I physically can during closing. Sometimes a better design is just the way to go... Miami
-
I had a reflex once that the pin always bent on. It was a brand new personal rig and the pin bent every time I packed it. The first time it happened I opened it back up (pull force was 15lbs), straightened the pin, and repacked it to have the pin bend again. Next repack (15lb pull force to open again) I replaced the pin and it bent again, so I left it and didn't worry about it any more. Every repack it pulled at 15-17lbs. That's the only time I've every had to deal with a bent pin. Miami

This is the unit Strato is referring to. There are few people who are just using a second camera as an editing deck...much less expensive and you have a back-up in case something happens to your jumping camera. Hope this helps... Miami

He was predicting at the beginning of that thread, then ran into no problems with it and corrected himself later. Read the rest of the thread for the full story, but to sum it up, in his opinion the HC3 is fine for skydiving. Miami

As a TI on all three of those systems I wouldn't know why they would be more knee low...maybe different instruction? I guess it could appear that the knees are lower on the strong student by how high the head is (the strong system definitely puts you most head high, which would make the student's knees appear lower than normal)...but that is just a guess as I have not noticed my students on Strong jumps to fly knees low more often than those on Vector2 or Sigma jumps. Hope that helps... Miami

Your not?! Well damn. Miami

Thanks for the heads up...I'm heading out to pick up cypres batts this afternoon and hoping I'll get lucky and there will jumping going on...if not well I guess that just gives me more time to get this rig assembled and packed. Miami

Best I can remember I've never found myself in the position that I felt I needed to refuse a student, but I have always felt that if I had, for valid reasons, that it would not be frowned upon. I am not willing to endanger myself or my student for a job. If I feel it is unsafe I will not take them, regardless of threats of my job or anything else. I'll happily tell a DZO to go fuck themselves if they try to force me to take a student up when I feel it is unsafe, and take my business and services elsewhere. Miami

The first course I ever taught on my own took about 14 hours over 2 days...with one student... He actually did really well, too. The last one I taught had 6 students and took about 7 hours...all including. 1 or 2 students and I'm looking at about 5 hours, depending. Miami

Anyone going to be out there jumping Wednesday afternoon/evening? What time do things usually get rolling there during the week? Miami

Interesting...funny how those things get around. Miami
