As much as I love the Cubs, I don't really care for Sosa a whole lot. Even so, I think it was just a stupid mistake on his part. Like Jack said, Sammy breaks a lot of bats. If he had been corking them all for a while, he would have been caught already. At the press conference after the game, he apologized and said that it was his warm-up bat. The officials had already confiscated all of his bats, so he had no reason to lie.

Yesterday as we piled into the Otter for a 7-ish way, I noticed the guy in front of me had his main flap open. The load was full and I couldn't easily get to it, so I made a mental note to check it when we got on our knees to get ready for jump run. Well, I forgot. I was up on my knees checking my gear before the door opened when I heard someone yell, "We've got an open container." Shit. I felt like crap for not remembering to check it as soon as the jumper got up.

I'll be there for sure on Sunday, possibly on Saturday too. I was a little late getting my rig in for a repack, and I might not be able to pick it up until Saturday afternoon. If the weather is good both days, I'll probably get my 100th on Sunday. Edit to add: Anybody now if PD brings demo Lightnings? I wanna do some CRW.

7, packing for myself. Could've done better but they only turned seven Otter loads and I was on 6 of them.

0:7:yes 7 in one day at Sky Knights, a new personal best. Two sits, I can do turns now, and I made it through the second jump with basically no instability. 4 RW dives, and we even got some points on two of them. 1 sunset hop 'n pop from the Cessna. My landing accuracy is improving. Twice in a row I left 20 ft long skid marks leading away from dead center (no wind rocks). I guess I owe beer for bumping end cells on the last load.

I'll be at Hinckley, SDC, or Sky Knights for at least one of those days (I'm a little indecisive ). Still have money on account at SDC, I think.

You need to factory in many other costs, including developement and testing, certification, setting up the assembly line, the employee's salaries, advertising, lawyers, etc. The parts might cost less than $100 (although I really doubt, not everything in the Cypres is a commodity part, i.e. the cutter), but the true cost per unit with all things considered is probably much, much higher.

It was the student who pulled his cutaway instead of the main handle, then lands in the power lines. But this time, Fox (!!!!!) actually got the story right and put the blame on the student for pulling the wrong handle. I was amazed.

At $250 (the price I've seen thrown around), it doesn't cost a whole lot more than a Digitude. I happen to prefer a digital altimeter, and I think the logging feature alone is probably worth the extra $50. The part that I'm a gadget freak probably has something to do with it. I've also never used one of these things, but I'm probably getting one sight-unseen based on my personal experience and other's experiences with Alti-2's customer service.

0:7:probably One sunset cross country Sunday (see attached) and six more today at Hinckley. 4 sit attempts (serious progress here), one 10 point four way, and one botched attempt at a horny gorilla. Good fun.

Just because you can read the files doesn't mean that they aren't corrupted. Try installing on another computer if you can, otherwise I'd just take it back.
