0:5:2 MWSL meet at Hinckley. 4 competition jumps, 1 out of the Alouette II helicopter. Beer for first competition and the chopper.

Early model Vector 3. Pros: I prefer the enclosed pilot chut over the pop-top type, but that isn't a huge deal. Cons: The bridle isn't completely hidden (half inch exposed). Would I buy another one? Probably not. It's a fine rig, but if I bought a new custom container, it would probably be an Infinity or a Wings (poor college student).

Well shit. I just checked the ripcord on my '96 Vector 3 and it's a PL-02. The previous owner must have had a cutaway sometime in '02 and chucked the handle (just checked the data card: May 24, '02: A-I-R after use). Fuck. Now I have to get somebody to test this thing before the NSL meet bright and early Saturday.

Tom Sanders National Geographic Q&A -- Press Clips
indyz replied to quade's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I automated this process a while back. -
So I went to Google and typed in "x-plane wingsuit": Voila!
-
Well, the way I would do it is rip the movie, then use a script to rip every nth frame, then run them through aalib. So, anybody have any requests?
-
And at least one person with a single-digit number is still jumping.
-
And the game made you hum it to under 1000 feet before it would let you pull.
-
The X-Plane website lists probably close to a dozen sites that host collections of planes. The sim really is incredible, highly recommended. MS Flight Sim is nothing more than a cheap hack compared to this masterpiece.

If I call the WFFC office tommorrow, will they be able to tell me if my prereg went through? It's been a couple of days and Judy hasn't gotten back to me via email yet.
-
Well shit. Now I need to figure out how to fit a mountain bike in a Cavalier, along with the cooler, the camping gear, the rig, and all the other crap I need or think I need. I want my 4-door back, dammit.
-
I would be wary of this company. They scored a 0.63 out of 10 at resellerratings.com. Even Quade's supplier only got a 3.64.
-
The DZ I jump at has a lot of demo opportunities for D licensed jumpers. I want to get in on that.
-
How did that wrap end?
-
When were you at the DZ? If you were around Saturday, I probably ran into you at some point.
-
60 so far this year for me. My goal is just to jump as much as I can afford, so I can't really do the fancy math.
-
0:6:0 5 4-way practice jumps. One 4-way sit. Meet at Hinckley next Saturday. I'm already nervous.
-
I'm there, arriving late in the day on Friday the 1st. Oh yeah, I registered online more than a week ago and it hasn't hit my credit card and I haven't gotten any emails or letters or anything. Should I just wait longer, or go bother Michael?

I'm in the middle of A Distant Mirror, by Barbara Tuchman. The 14th century is a heck of a lot more interesting than I remember from high school history.
-
The surf on a lightly loaded canopy can be enough to mess up an accuracy approach. My Spectre 170 loaded at 1.1:1 will easily surf the 4 meters across the D-license circle in light winds, with only a straight in approach. In light/nil winds I need to pick my "spot" well short of the target.
-
Bogus example. If you go through the red light you didn't come to a complete stop. Anyway, I'm done with this. After this and the repack cost thread, you've gone from a former moderator whose opinion I respected to nothing better than a common troll in my mind.

My 2001 Cavalier got a 20.

I've had that happen a few times as well. It looks like the server end is correct, my browser just isn't reloading the image properly for whatever reason. No proxy, no firewall.

That's not bad, but he really needs to buy a few UGCIs and us them to put together a replica cockpit with working switches. And. What the hell? He went to all that trouble and he's flying the glider?
