  1. Y'all are really starting to freak me out here..... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  2. Alan....after my uncle. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  3. There's not enough of left in tact to do that. The pieces are so small they are in a bag... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  4. It ate my Crosswind video, so.... ...I ripped it apart piece by piece, unscrewing things here, yanking things off there until finally, after 15 minutes of work and a giant cut in my thumb later, it was freed!! No crappy old VCR was gonna eat MY Crosswind- I feel much better now!
  5. One of the best "local" bands I've ever heard was Buck 32 (in central FL). Another good one from the western NY area is Molotov Cocktail- they've been on the up and up lately- you may here them on the radio soon. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  6. Now now, Clay isnt the only guy in the world with man-boobs... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  7. Well, according to Webster's a patriot is: "one who loves his country and zealously supports its authority and interests." but Patriotism is simply: "Love or devotion for one's country." So I think you can be patriotic without being a patriot in the truest sense of the word. In my opinion, being patriotic doesn't mean you have to agree with everything every political leader says. It means you fully support the country as a whole. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  8. Umm...wouldnt that be your best friend's cousin too? "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  9. I have no idea how the process works of converting VHS/8mm into DVD's, but is that something that people will be able to do themselves in a few years for a reasonable cost? Just something you might want to consider.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  10. The way I read the article, it was Dallas airport personnel that were notified of her condition. You know...the people cruising around the terminal in golf carts.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  11. Excerpt from the article: OK, I must be confused. Explain to me how this is the fault of American Airlines. Yep, don't fly American...they lose people. What on earth would an airport employee want with a 70 year old woman with alzheimers? I betcha it was the CIA, yup, thats it Mr. South, the CIA got her. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  12. If a 4 year old child had wandered off, you can bet that an intensive manhunt would have been kicked off. And in my opinion, 4 year olds shouldnt be travelling like that alone- airlines should not be responsible for babysitting them. Nor should they be responsible for a woman with alzheimer's wandering off. If care for the elderly couple was desired, they should have hired a caretaker, not the airline. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  13. How mean! There is a sign behind the bar (on the end towards the deck) in DeLand that says no alcoholic drinks for anyone jumping or something like that.... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  14. I find it amusing that under a post that says: ONLY FOR THE LADIES, all three (well, now 4) of the responses are from men. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  15. "This man now seems to have an enormous difficulty separating his personal religious commitment from his public policy positions." -Rev. Barry Lynn Indeed he does... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  16. Yep....I woke up and looked out my window to find a rather steady snow shower. Luckily none stuck....yet. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  17. CNN Article "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  18. A man is suing American Airlines because his wife got lost in an airport. They were on their way from LAX to Indy. The 70-year old alzheimer's patient went missing on Dec. 5th in DFW while her husband was in the bathroom. She hasnt been seen since. ....sooo, this guy thinks that since his wife wandered off while he was in the pisser (in the AIRPORT no less) its the airline's fault? Umm, riiiight. I know airlines sometimes have special obligations to take care of small childeren travelling alone, but not 70 year old women. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  19. Stealing signs is my specialty! Last year I drove almost 2 hours in the middle of the night in pouring rain to snag a sign that said "Marshall Rd." Another time I drove about an hour to get one from "Route 69".
  20. Yup, it was... Another kinda freaky thing about upstate NY: Bodies have been reported missing in Seneca Lake, and have been found in Cayuga Lake (and vice versa) with no evidence of foul play. Apparently there is some sort of underground river that goes between them- a distance of anywhere between 10 (in the center) and 20+ nautical miles (on the ends). Just an interesting little tidbit I found out about not too long ago... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  21. 6 inches of snow would NOT cushion your fall enough for you to survive without a canopy at least partly out. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  22. You have indeed been jumping here all of my life, and then some. You make it sound like I'm moving to FL just so I can jump down there. And eh, the weather up here hasnt exactly been jumpable up until recently...so gimme a break. Tell you what...I leave in 3 weeks, but since I have heard nothing but good things about Frontier Skydivers, I will try my hardest to make it out there before I go.
  23. Wanted to take a trip down to The Ranch, but was forced to work instead... 0:0:1 (Beer for feeling my first earthquake!!!) "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."
  24. Nah...I've lived here most of my life! It will always be "home" to me, because thats where my family is. And yes, you are right- late spring, summer, and early fall are usually really nice.
