A 16 by 20 print is about $25. Get a good camera flyer to take pix of a formation you are in and then take the negs to a pro lab and get a big print. A good frame is about $25. So for $100 or so you can have a poster of yourself. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Tennesse Skydiving Center -- Aircraft
bmcd308 replied to quade's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
WTS has a souped-up Cessna 195 when Mullins is not there. From the WTS website: The West Tennessee Skydiving Super Cessna 195 has been modified with a 450 hp engine, lexan in-flight door, large step, and floater handles. It will take 5 jumpers to 13,000' in 14 minutes under standard conditions. It is the fastest climbing Cessna in the country. It is available on weekends and on weekdays by appointment. The sad thing here is that everyone is missing the obvious culprit: Dick Cheney. See, the big oil companies NEED the weather to stay cool so that they can sell us all heating oil and other forms of energy to stay warm in the winter. However, they are causing all this global warming that will eventually wipe out the demand for heating oil. When there is no demand for heating oil, they will no longer be able to control the country through their puppets, the Republican party. So they have to do weather modification research so that they can figure out how to spring their trap on us - global cooling. Once they begin cooling the world, everyone will get so caught up in the left vs. right "I told you so"s that they won't even notice that the cost of heating oil is going through the roof, and that we are all economic slaves to the oil companies, led by their puppets. So the oil companies put secret additives in select batches of Jet A and study the effects of the additives on the atmosphere, trying to figure out the best way to cool the earth. Even the big oil companies do not trust the big dumb government with the experiments, so they are doing it themselves, using military and civilian fuels to confuse the public. How can they be stopped? The answer is easy. DO NOT SUPPORT ANY INDUSTRY OR ACTIVITY THAT USES JET A IN ANY FORM OR FASHION! If they can't sell Jet A, they can't finish their experiments, and they won't be able to take over the world. Do ya really think so? I know that even joking about kp will get you on his bad side, but this is more about mj than kp. Or at least that's what I think. I'll leave that one up to the greenies and Dr. Fork. If the thread disappears, I'll know you were right. If I can't log in anymore, I'll know I was WAY wrong. I remember that you were deciding between a TRV-19 and a TRV-22. I can't find a post where you told us which you wound up with and whether you're happy. Sorry if this was old news. Brent ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Also, eat about 20 burritos and sit on the bench beside Mike. When he gags on the way up, tell him Judy told you he loved to smell skydiver farts. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Another thing Mike likes is for you to yell spotting corrections from the door. If you really want to start the winter off on the right foot, wait until he calls for exit, then yell 10 LEFT! no matter where you are. Mike loves that. Oh, and make sure you say Judy said so! ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

It think what Ron was saying is that RELYING on vertical separation is more dangerous than relying on horizontal separation. If you open 300 feet away from me to my left, we have lots of time not to collide. If you open 300 feet away from me directly over my head and cut away, things could get exciting. If you plan to open 300 feet above me and snivel longer than you thought you would, things could get interesting. If you plan to open 300 feet above me and I have a premature, things could get interesting. All of these concerns go away if you are off to the side. Let me change the question a little to one we had at our dz not too long ago. Situation is this: Skydiver is hurt. Rigger, to be nice, is renting the hurt skydiver's gear to folks, and they are sharing the money by some agreement (I don't know the details). New guy comes to the dz, needs a rig. Rigger rents hurt skydiver's rig to new guy. New guy has a cutaway. Main, freebag and handles all lost. New guy disappears. Who pays? ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com
