Wow. It looked like he was going to have a successful canopy transfer for a second there. Do paraglider mains have a three ring release? If so, I wonder why he did not cut away the main when the two canopies were clear of each other. Another question for those who have been around for a while - I thought that part of the point of a round reserve was that it would not downplane with a malfunctioning square main. That one sure did. Look up the glycemic index of the other sweeteners. Refined sugar will have a high glycemic index, which means that your blood sugar will increase more quickly after you eat it, resulting in more insulin production. Lower glycemic index sweeteners do not enter your bloodstream as quickly, so you do not have as much of an insulin response. Brent ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

>> I am suggesting that like every other federal spending program there is a hell of a lot of waste.>No amount of technology is ever going to do away with ground combat. >Additionally do you have any idea how far a Chinese soldiers pay goes in their economy? I don't so I don't know if they suffer or are living well.

Are you saying that we should pay our military wages similar to the wages paid to Chinese soldiers? Are you comfortable trading technology for lives the way the Chinese military does? If we have to spend 10 to 1 to kill their soldiers 100 to 1, that is fine with me. I would much rather have 1 American at risk in an F-15 to kill a bunch of our enemies than have a 100 on 100 brawl on the ground using broken bottles. Comparing spending is just dumb. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

The longer I skydive, the sillier I feel coming in to land with my slider behind my head to minimize drag and my mini risers cutting efficiently through the air - at a 1.0 wingloading. It is easy when you are new in this sport to wind up ordering cool-looking stuff that you have no use for. At least I didn't get triple risers. You know, I am just going to steal a quote from Anvil that I wish I had written myself to introduce this: "Dude, I like GWB as a hypocritical libertarian who tends to vote Republican, but I didn't like this speech very much. I did like portions of it." That pretty much sums up both my politics and my view of the speech. He says he is "training to be a skydiving instructor." I guess I am too, then. I am also training to be an astronaut (I was recently a passenger in an airplane) and a firefighter (I blew out the candles on my birthday cake). ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Yeah, sorry about that. I thought I was smarter than I was. Anyway, I finally finished it. I'll guess that it took me 5 hours of actually working on it, maybe a little more, but not 7. Anyway, it was a |-||-|-|-||---|||--|----||---|||--|----||----||--||--|----|-|||||| I enjoyed working together with you guys on that, and I appreciate that we helped each other without spoiling it. Alright, I need a hint. I assume I am at the place where others have said there must be a typo in the clue. I cannot reconcile what I think must be an "e" in vastness --| with what I think must be the word "there". What am I messing up? ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com
