I bought my rig from Roy and had a good experience. He asked for a grand up front and the balance when it shipped, which I thought was fair. Brent ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Velocity/Katana why only small sizes

>>Why is this? I might just want the advantages of a cross braced canopy without downsizing. -
Sadly, this is a tough group to address. Some number of crashes from "unintentional" low turns will likely always be with us. None of the various proposals address people at reasonable wing loadings who just make a mistake at a low altitude. I biffed in hard when I knew better. I got lucky, and I learned a lesson without taking an ambulance ride. This is the very thing that mandatory education seeks to address, and it is one way to cure the problem you mention above. To some extent, however, this is the current system. Of all the people who crushed in due to a low turn, I bet that there were exactly zero who did not know that low turns were dangerous. Every first jump student knows that already. As I said, spin/low turn avoidance is taught. However, spins and low turns look cool and are fun, so people still do them. Make sure that when they are adjusted they are adjusted when you are arching. I borrowed a swoop cord suit one time where they felt OK on the ground, but once I got out of the plane I fell at like 20 mph. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

I can't wait. I won't be jumping until Thursday of the last weekend of the boogie, but I'm sure it is going to be awesome. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

I like that your link describes Joe Lieberman as a "well-known conservative" Democrat. No wonder they think everyone is right wing. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

I've seen him post about other stuff. Apparently you have, too. Are you tired of new people coming to your little playground with views different than yours, CanuckinUSA? ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

>>So the RSL is a line going from the main to the reserve? Why does the reserve not automatically deploy when the main is cut then?
-
It is possible that the RSL could snag the reserve when you cut away the main if the main is already deployed, resulting in an entanglement between the cut away main and the reserve. Brent ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

Chest strap save on load, How common is this?

There are those who would argue that if you would not jump without an AAD, then you probably should not jump. They make good points. Search around. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com

>>Who says a Nitron is not as "shaped" as a Stiletto? They are both fully ellipitical canopies that are designed for advanced pilots.
